It took us over 30 minutes to get our food. I ordered a steak lover signature bowl and the green beans were so soggy and cold you can taste that they took it straight out of the freezer. We had water cups and were begging to get water filled. It did not seem like they were understaffed, it was just incredibly slow service and it did not seem like it bothered them at all. We have loved coming here since they opened and loved it until yesterday. I usually order the chicken and avocado bowl. Yesterday my husband and I both ordered shrimp. When we were eating it, it smelled and shrimp shouldn't smell if it's fresh. We noticed a couple bites weren't the best but we ate it. Last night we were so sick. I will not order the shrimp again and I am sure we won't be back for a long while after this. We noticed standing water on the floor in front of the counter and I wonder if this had anything to do with what happened with the shrimp..... What a shame! The artwork on the wall sums it. " my happy place." My go to is the steak lovers bowl. The portions of food are large. The price is fair at $13.49. I would highly recommend this location. They have a good selection of different kind of bowls and ones that you can build your own. They also offer crêpes for meals and desserts. The one dessert that stands out for me is the Thai rolled ice cream at a cost of $6,99 which is fair for the portion. So this restaurant is very unique! I've never been to another like it. The food is very fresh and tasty! You can choose either a savory or a sweet crepe. They will put anything you choose inside of it. They have some pre made ideas or they also let you choose... The atmosphere is not amazing or anything like that. It's clean but plain. I think it's great for take out, honestly. The employees are super nice and helpful. They have great ideas too! I do recommend this restaurant, especially if you prefer something different & quirky. A friend found this place and knew we liked sushi so he recommended we try it. This place is at the end of a little strip mall has lots of windows and natural light, super neat and tidy. You order at the front counter when you walk in. They have an interesting combination of things..... poke bowls with many "specialty " options or a build your own. And they have a crepe menu with lots of different protein options for lunch or dinner rolled up and served like a cone, also a dessert menu featuring the crepes with fruits , custard, and ice cream. They also make ice cream in a cold stone right in front of you! All the stuff the prepare fresh to order behind a plexiglass wall so you can watch what they are creating, it was fun to see. Soda & Drinks are in a cooler by the register, they do offer free cups for water or bottles. We ordered 2 Hawaiian bowls, one build your own bowl, and a crab crepe. The Hawaiian bowl, which was Ahi tuna, (choice of brown or white) rice, cucumber, scallions, mini diced jalapeño and..... I'm not sure what else was in it, but it was very tasty. (All of the ingredients are listed up on the menu board so you can see them). super tender, melted in your mouth Ahi, all the vegetables. Everything in the bowl tasted very fresh and clean. It was wonderful. Just enough sauce drizzled in the top to flavor the whole bowl. I would highly recommend it. The build your own bowl he got with tuna, and I'm not sure what else was in it, but he got a spicy sauce drizzled over the top and added seaweed salad to it, and I tasted that as well and it was super yummy. The presentation of the crab crêpe was beautiful. It looked super tasty, and my friend said it was really good. Although they use imitation crab, she said that it was still pretty good. For dessert, we ordered the fruit basket crêpe, which had custard and a medley of different fresh sliced fruits and a small scoop of ice cream on the top. We asked them if they could somehow cut it in half so we could share it and they did. It was almost like a fruit sundae with ice cream on top. It was delicious, but I probably would have preferred a waffle cone instead. the creeps are super light and airy cooked perfectly and tasted really wonderful. Our friend got the ice cream and it was a lot of fun to stand and watch them make it. After it is done, you get to choose three toppings and a sauce to go over the top. Although I did not taste to the ice cream, they said it was good. If you are looking for a sushi roll, this is not the place for you, but if you are wanting super fresh ingredients and a mouth full of flavor, you will definitely want to try this place! read more

It worked perfect since my boyfriend is definitely more of a steak bowl lover. He ordered a byo steak bowl, brown rice, cilantro, Hawaiian sauce on the side, romaine, edamame, scallions, avocado, fried onions which he must have loved since it disappeared in a matter of minutes. I ordered a byo bowl with spicy tuna and salmon, sushi rice, Hawaiian sauce, cilantro, avocado, jalapeños, cucumber, scallions, sesame, fried onions, seaweed salad, ginger and cabbage. Both locations are great. This is the only authentic poke you will find in Waco. That being said, the food is still amazing.

I had really high hopes for this place, but after the 2nd time, my family and I stopped coming here (and to any of their other locations). The food just tastes strange, the meat is barely seasoned and as for the rest of the food mixed together, because it's not heated up together, it's a little weird to have cold food and hot food drenched with cold, salty sauce. It feels like the flavors need to be infused together via stir frying them (I guess like how genghis grill does...). Instead of each topping shinning individually/overpowering, they need to shine together. Aside from this, I do like the steamed rice and the staff is friendly. read more

I loved that Jpetal opened a location in Hewitt! I heard about their first location, but hadn't had a chance to try them out, so I did, and I was not disappointed!! I loved the freshness of the ingredients they used along with the service they displayed. For example, I was having trouble picking the rice I wanted, so the cashier asked if I wanted half sushi and half brown rice, which was very helpful. As someone that lived his first 25 years of his life on Oahu I can definitely tell you they make a very good poke bowl. Everything is fresh and delicious. It does have a bit of mainland flair but it's well done and doesn't take away from the original. If you like sushi you'll be very pleased with this Hawaiian dish.
