I was a little skeptical about a sushi bar in Waco, TX with only 3.5 stars on yelp. Well I was more than pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sushi and the portions. I ordered a poke bowl and a TX roll and they were both very fresh and delicious. I was extremely stuffed after eating both, but it was well worth the food coma I put myself into. Not only was the food amazing, the staff was super friendly and very attentive. It takes a little time to prepare the meal, but it's worth the wait. Good sushi doesn't typically come out super-fast. They serve on paper/styrofoam plates and plastic bowls, but as long as the sushi quality stays this high and the price as low as it is; I don't care what they put it on. This is a must try if your in the area or looking for something more than bar food. read more

If you are a deliverer of any kind (Grubhub, Doordash,etc) don't accept this place. Your ordered will be placed in back of people that walk in the order much later than yours. Over 10 people that ordered after I had place order for customer walked in and out with their orders and I had to wait almost an hour. For this job time is money because I could have gotten way more orders and got this order to my customer when they actually order it plus it was a very small order so they don't have that excuse. Looks like good food, but won't come back when delivering for sure unless this changes. read more

Can't say what the food is like but we were coming from 45 minutes out of town and asked when they closed, the girl said she didn't know just depends when everyone leaves. Asked if they would still be open for the next 45 minutes and she again said she didn't know depended if people left before then. Finally asked if she thought she could ask someone if they would still be open and she said they won't know either. So needless to say we didn't end up going there. I'm going to start by saying that we moved to Waco from Austin, which has numerous sushi restaurants throughout the city. That said, we were waiting for our order at WingStop and decided to go try a few pieces just to see how Waco sushi was. All we were left to think was "what the hell?!" From what I remember, we ordered a spicy tuna roll, two orders of unagi, and another "mini maki" roll, which I've forgotten exactly what it was. If you've ever looked at the "sushi" at HEB, you'll know exactly what I mean here. The orders were put in those black plastic containers with clear lids, a packet of soy sauce, and a packet of ginger. Yes, a packet of ginger. Even HEB uses unpackaged ginger. Anyway, the spicy tuna rolls were *not* spicy and they were *not* cold, at all, which sushi should be. Room temp sushi is not a good thing, ever. The color of the tuna wasn't the deepest red, as fresh tuna is, but it wasn't brown, which I've been served (and declined) before. The sushi rice had little flavor, if at all, and all together the rolls just were not good. I'd prefer HEB if I just *had* to eat sushi in Waco. Now, the unagi... Gah! Horrible. Just horrible. The pieces were extremely dry and the unagi sauce was definitely not homemade and tasted more of the base teryaki(sp?) than anything else. I understand 'eel sauce' is based on teryaki sauce with eel bones and such fermented but this sauce was definitely lacking. The "mini-maki" was served in the same container as the unagi and it was extremely warm. Whether that was due to the unagi heat or whatever it was, the pieces were not too edible. I'll *never* recommend this place and I find it disturbing people do just that. If people want true sushi, go to Austin and try some places that have it together and know what a true sushi place is all about. If that's not an option, go to HEB. At least you may have less concern about freshness. read more

Reading the reviews, I'd wish I had gotten sushi and tried that. The dish I did get was not bad in price but didn't taste that good. Mind I have been to Japan and have had actual Japanese food and I know this place is put under as Korean for some reason, so I walk in with these in mind. Maybe if I go back, I will try the sushi, it seems to be what everyone loves more. But over all, nice place, nice people, clean but I didn't go into the bathroom, so not sure about that. I live in Dallas and I'm sent on a business trip to Austin. I'm craving sushi because I haven't had it in forever (my wife doesn't like seafood so I'm going to get it as much as I can when I'm on business). I walk in and look at the menu and it says "mini maki". "What's mini maki?" "It looks like this" as the counter girl points at sushi rolls. Uh. duh. Yes. I know what Maki is, what makes it mini? The answer? Nothing. It's 16 pieces of sushi roll. For $6.95? Yes, please! So I order the salmon mini maki and the chicken udon noodles. If I were you, I wouldn't order the chicken udon noodles. I actually ate the noodles and left the chicken. The pieces of chicken were huge, overcooked and not very tasty. The noodles alone weren't half bad, so perhaps you should order the vegetarian ones. If I went again, I wouldn't get the noodles again. The sushi - that's what I was after. Good? Sure. Great? Eh.. They give you a small container of wasabi and an equal volume of ginger. That means you get like 2 pieces of ginger per container. If you like ginger, ask them for more than one container. I would have gotten 6 if I didn't feel sheepish asking so many times. It's on par, it's not outstanding but it filled my craving for sushi. I'd go there again for sure. Where can you get 16 pieces of sushi roll for $7? Teriyaki Park. That's where. read more

How have I not seen this place before?! Teriyaki Park has an amazing array of food choices as well as drink choices. I tried their bulgogi hotdog and, wow, it did not disappoint. It was DELICIOUS! I was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to get street-food style Korean here in Waco, but I was wrong. Definitely give this a try if you are in the area. My husband got their regular Bulgogi plate that came with a side salad and steamed (or fried) rice - and WOW. His portions were insane! Unfortunately I did not get a photo of his plate as I was too fixed on my own and even had to steal a bit of bulgogi from his plate for my picture since I started devouring my dish as soon as it was placed in front of me.... I love love love Teriyaki Park, I ate there probably 100 times during my undergraduate at Baylor. My favorite rolls are the California Roll, the Baylor Roll, and the Spicy Tuna Roll. The Nigiri Salmon is also very tasty and fresh, but at $8.99 for six pieces I usually passed it up. They also have Vietnamese style spring rolls here, the ones that aren't fried, that are SO delicious. I almost always ordered these. The only problem with Teriyaki Park is that it is so busy that even when you call ahead you usually still have to wait in line to check out. I've also tried the various stir fry specials, I like the shrimp and the chicken especially. The bulgogi you should take a pass on though, go across the highway to Clay Pot. The dumplings are also good here, really everything. I ate here almost every week when I went to Baylor and I am sorely missing Teriyaki Park here in Lubbock. read more

This is my family's absolute favorite in Waco and the service has been wonderful and super friendly! .The Pork Gyoza are crisp and delicious, and we've been sampling the menu and trying different things every visit. This trip we had Teriyaki Beef and the Spicy Seafood Yaki Udon noodles and they were both simply delicious! Also, if you love Bubble Tea ask for the "secret menu", they have over 100 different flavors they can make for you! This place is pretty convenient since it's close to Baylor's campus and the only place near campus if your'e craving sushi. I've been coming here a lot for lunch. I've been ordering the spicy salmon roll, which is reasonably priced and easy to eat. The Alico Tower is a more expensive, but pretty good and filling if you're looking for a decent meal. I also like the Rainbow Roll with the house salad. The specialty rolls seem more expensive but it's worth the money because of how big they are! They do have bubble tea, but it's powder, so it's not as good. The tapioca balls are also not really that great because it's not cooked thoroughly sometimes so it's hard instead of soft and chewy. I usually am a fan of teriyaki Park's food, but unfortunately the service has never been up to par, with unfriendly staff. Today I had an experience that will prevent me, and the other nine people I was with, from returning. My friend paid and forgot to grab her card, but since we were the only ones who were in the restaurant the entire time we weren't worried about her finding it. The employee told us to leave and that she would call "if" she found it. Turned out she was keeping it in the drawer and was trying to not give it back intentionally, sadly most likely in hopes to steal it. I was extremely full I literally made myself eat all my food I just couldn't see myself throwing it away. I went with a co- worker she had the teriyaki chicken lunch special it was good also it came with 5 slices of chicken placed on top of fried rice(requested it comes with steamed rice), a salad, a sushi roll, and a steamed dumpling the total was $8.28. I love TP! Maybe being a poor student dulled my taste buds or something, but I always look forward to having a fast, cheap meal here. I ate dinner at Teriyaki Park this evening. First let me say, I thought the food was good, and the service too. The only reason I have given one star is that this restaurant serves ALL of their food in Styrofoam containers. Even when you are dining in and eating at the tables, they serve all of their food in Styrofoam. This makes me so incredibly sad, frustrated, and concerned. It is 2014, we know how much the environment is at risk and how much excess waste is being created all over the world and especially in the United States. Teriyaki Park must create dozens and dozens of non-biodegradable garbage every day, which is just inexcusable. If anyone at Teriyaki Park reads this, please consider using re-usable plates and dishes in the restaurant. Also, for to go, please consider using something more environmentally friendly than styrofoam. Customers who eat there, if you consider yourself environmentally conscious then maybe it's worth voicing your concern to them so they consider making changes! read more

I'm a big fan of TP's boba tea - mostly because it's cheaper than it's neighbor's, Bicycle World. They have a ton of flavors, and the bobas are always chewy and the perfect texture :) Even though I've never eaten food here, I probably wouldn't. There's something about the restaurant that just feels dirty or like you'd get food poisoning. Maybe it's the guy in the kitchen who's on his phone and not working the whole time. Maybe it's that I can see the kitchen from the counter and it looks generally messy. I don't know - it's nothing specific. Rice is consistently too mushy and wet especially for a sushi roll. Eel sauce is atrocious. The texture is mysteriously grainy and the flavor is off. Fish taste flat and not quality. Usually hidden under a drizzle of spicy mayo. Any roll that is fried, or has a fried component in it, will be soggy not crisp. If you're looking for sushi in Waco as of 2017, sadly, your best option is HEB sushi. read more
