Where do I start. Having tried tons of traditional Asian cuisine, I'm really picky. I found this spot on Yelp as I was looking for a new place to try and one that sold egg foo yong. The food was amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambience is great and the place has clean restrooms. It is a bit pricey, but that's indicative of the current market. Personally, I think the food tastes good. There's just a couple of things that I wish they did. Since they are a good mix of traditional and American Chinese food, I wish they had a pupu platter type of appetizer option. I like the salty pepper pork quite a bit and their lunch specials are good. The service is pretty good as well and the ladies that work here are very sweet. The food is good and you get plenty of it. My sister and I both ordered different dishes. She had the braised pork belly while I ordered the jalapeño chicken. She had steamed rice and I had fried rice. The service was good and they asked to see if we liked our orders. The ambiance is a nice Chinese restaurant. My sister and I noticed a big majority of the people that came in picked up their orders to go. After dinner of course I had to check out the restrooms. 10/10!!! I've FINALLY found a grail Chinese restaurant. I was so impressed. We placed our order inside for to-go. The wait wasn't too long. The atmosphere as so nice and calming, no blaring music or yelling kids or overly loud tvs. I got the fried rice with tofu and they were kind enough to make it without cabbage, green onion, onion or bean sprouts (I'm a picky eater okay? lol). The lady taking the order at the register spoke English really well and was so friendly. I'll definitely try here again and eat inside. Solid options for standard American Chinese food offerings plus more. I went with the sesame chicken and the general tso's chicken because I was looking for the good ol mainstream taste. The fried rice is very flavorful and fresh. The chicken was warm and arrived crispy and well-sauced. I did take out for this order. On pick up the restaurant was not busy on a rainy Friday night. The order was ready quickly and was actually ready before I arrived. I would visit again when I'm looking for this cuisine. Their response was rising food cost my question wouldn't rising costs affect the food as much as the condiments? When you dine in the restaurant you're not charged for condiments. initially their restaurant was JK;Garden and was absolutely exceptional and then JK;Garden was taken over by someone and it was not so good then two sisters took it over and it was absolutely fantastic and then they sold and it went downhill menu changed but the soup was consistent last night. I ordered the soup and it was like water down. There was no meat in the soup like they're normally is there's hardly any Chinese mushrooms in there. It is very, very annoying and very frustrating response I received from the owner. read more

Had really high expectations for this restaurant since there were good reviews (not many but they were all highly rated). We ordered the hot and sour soup and Kung pao chicken. Hot and sour soup was flavorful and delicious - I'd give that at least 4 stars alone. Unfortunately the Kung pao chicken was a bit of a disappointment. The portion size and flavor was alright but for what is supposed to be a spicy dish, there was only one small piece of pepper in it and the dish wasn't spicy at all. Some of the chicken tasted a bit greasy and old. Kung pao chicken was ok but it wasn't Kung pao chicken. And the side of rice is extremely small. We wanted to love this restaurant since we used to love the restaurant it replaced but I can't give Wang's Cook House more than 3 stars. read more

Ok we have been looking for a neighborhood Chinese joint ever since Tongs closed in Richardson. This is about 10-15 min from my house so it will be an eat in place for us. My wife and I went last night and we ordered 3 dishes and have enough for dinner again tonight. Eggplant in garlic sauce was fantastic, with just a taste of heat! Flat noodles with very tasty and tender beef. Very good! And last was my moms favorite and we try it whenever we see it, Egg Foo Young. We did the vegetable with a brown sauce that was very good. I ordered lemon chicken, it was a huge portion of breaded chicken cutlet with tasteless side of watery lemon sauce, nothing remotely Chinese about it. The crab Rangoons were not like I've ever had before and were terrible, we threw out the leftovers. I suspect they have a different cook, I won't go there again. read more

Beef short ribs had a medium spice with red pepper and more meat than bone :-) Duck was great, crispy with a hint of sweet and tender. The Stir Fry rice was perfect. It had tender chicken and shrimp. We specifically orders Cashew Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Shrimp Fried Rice and Chicken Egg rolls. The beef and chicken was fresh and very tender. The sauce was authentic but not over powering. The vegetables were crisp and tasty. I was impressed and so was my wife, she had seconds and that never happens. The fried rice and egg rolls were tasty, not over oiled at all.
