Once you call Terminix for an inspection they will give you 3 to 4 hours window to come to your place. Guess what?...They'll never show up! You call them again, they will apologize, and you will get another appointment, and... you got it, no show-up, again! But, if then, you miss a payment, they will send you a CANCELATION letter, saying that if they don't get your payment you'll pay a cancelation fee! That happened to me when my credit card was stolen and my bank issued me a new card THE WORSE EXPERIENCE!!! read more

I went online and scheduled for a termite inspection for Monday,  October 16, 2023, between 8-10AM to my home. No one showed up.  I get a text at 4pm the same day from a person named ,Tim. (909)806-0038 "Hi , this is Tim Dennis with Terminix apologize for the late notification but the original gentleman that they put you on his schedule called in sick and they just added you to my schedule. I stopped by your home and no one answered the door if you would like to reschedule please text me back and let me know. When is it convenient for you?" Tim confirmed he can come the next day between 8-10AM. No one showed up.  No message from Tim at all.  I called Terminx and spoke with a lady on Thursday who scheduled me for Friday with Tim. I asked for someone else because Tim is unreliable. So she set me up with Thomas between 3-5pm. I requested to leave work early to be ready for Thomas and I get a text from Thomas at 11:30Am the day of my inspection appointment: "Good Afternoon , my name is tommy with Terminix. I will be your inspector. I would like to reschedule you for Monday" I let him know the following:  "Hello. It's ok. This is the 3rd rescheduled response I've gotten. The first 2 were from Tim.  Appreciate you reaching out.  Take care. " Thomas replies:"What time Monday is good for you? I'll put you as priority " Termix. Your people are full of it. This is the most unprofessional company, branch, and manager I've ever experienced. I'm also taking my complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and possibly filing an action against terminix, who smugly told me to "sue them." You're the worst exterminators on the planet, and it would be better if I had the Giant Cockroach from Men in black try to exterminate bugs than have you come and inspect. We didn't even have a bug or extermination issue. These complete geniuses, took down my information for a real estate inspection involving a possible chimney issue where birds sometimes die in our chimney leading to flies. I called them last Friday for an inspection Monday.. at a date and time they chose. I took off work and waited for their allotted time of 8-10 AM, no call and no show. I called them and I asked "where the hell they were?" Apparently their agent called off work Monday, they got no back up, and they never called me. Their professional is unrivaled, I get better treatment in prison holding the last pack of ramen. So I yelled at them and said who was going to tell me and why I shouldn't tell the BBB. They put me on hold, until it automatically hung up on me. I called again and cursed out the agent who finally just transferred me to this branch's manager. This man was the definition of absolutely no matters or intellect. He explained that his employee had called off and they "don't do Bird work. I explained it may not be "birds" as that has happened in the past. Also, no one said "bird work" was not covered as a past exterminator found out about the bird issue. But, terminix covers "dead carcasses" and a dead bird.. is a dead carcass. I just asked even with that being said, who was going to call me no one was coming. Also, he acted like I had a bird infestation. Do you know how impossible that would be? Alfred Hitchcock's "the birds" and birds attacking everyone?! I wouldn't call the exterminators I would call the media and call it "the Bloody Birdhouse." This guy tells me he's going to call me back because I threaten to bring action against him. I call the main line again and the lady rudely tells me to sue corporate and hangs up on me. The manager never calls me back! I give this place -23 stars /5. You're safer just lighting you're house on fire. I recommend lloyds pest control or pretty much anyone else. Wait for my BBB review. read more

This is probably the worse experience I've ever had. We agreed (with their salesman at the door) to pay by cash at the end of each service, but unfortunately, what their "salesman" promised at the door wasn't RECORDED onto their system. That's ok...but you failed to deliver what you promised: only showed up twice a year (supposed to be 4), the rest 2, you said you sprayed outside and left, didn't knock on the door or anything because you ASSUMED everything is "perfect", so no interior spray required, well.. how am I suppose to pay your service when you don't even let us know you're here? The worse part is that I just spoke on the phone with their "customer service", long story short, she wants her technician to get paid first then do the job that you promised to make up for us, but we want to see them do the job first then happy to pay them at the end with full amount. I requested to speak to their supervisor/manager, she said "sorry we don't have any manager, I AM the manager," then 20m later finally told me "my manager isn't around at this time" and hang up on me at the end of the call. Horrible, horrible experience with this company, when I decided to sign the deal with the sales, he promised me I can cancel it any time I want, however, he did not mention there would be an cancelation fee of 169 cad. The job was completed on schedule. However, I have two complaints. First, their main phone number for three counties never picks up. And second, although I was told that I could keep my cars in my garage, the workers opened all the doors, the trunks, and the glove boxes, and didn't tell me. When the tent was removed, both of my cars' batteries were completely dead. Not just run down, but totally dead and had to be taken in for a full charge replenishment. read more

The first time they came in, they sprayed the house so we had to leave for 4 hours, when we came back there was thousands of cockroches. So we waited for 2 weeks and the roches where still here. The second time we had them come in with a different guy he sprayed the house 4 hours later the roaches are still here, these terminix people are theifs. They just want your money thats all. We signed up with Terminix Canada to get quarterly service and service in between if needed. They are great and punctual taking your money but when it comes to replying to your calls for service they never get back. I've been trying to reach them for over two weeks, leaving them messages for an ant problem we have and not one call has been returned. Terrible company. do not use them they just cost me roughly $3k in damages in my garage. i had an appointment and told the guy to be careful, moving things in garage that were on the floor we are just coming off of a things being moved into garage for the entire house was moved out for new carpeting. this guy comes out and sprays my laundry basket full of drycleaning, the baby gate, the 2 crates with work paperwork and one with personal filing, and more. i told him to be careful, when i had kenny from antimite he would have slid the things forward and sprayed the wall/perimeter, not spray directly onto all the personal effects, including a 10 speed bike. he had plenty of room to slide things easily. i have pictures that i am putting up on facebook, twitter, instagram, and any other place i can. read more

TERMINIX DESTROYED MY ROOF AND COULDN'T CARE LESS! NO STARS. I've been a Terminix customer for ten years. They fumigated my house in '91 and though there was some damage, it was understandable when carrying a 350 pound tarp over somewhat fragile clay tiles. The damage was reasonable though and the service effective. This time however, apparently to them the contract and subsequent waiver meant that they could exhibit gross negligence and break as much as they wanted as long as they got the tent on. Three roofers have told us that it will be cheaper to re-roof the house as opposed to fixing the damage, After three weeks of insistent calling I finally got a call back when I attempted to go over my regional manager's head. I was told "oh, I thought, the other guy called you back". So every time he got a message saying I called over a three week period he assumed someone else was returning the call? Way to step up and take care of business, Andrew Fleming! So be aware that if you are thinking about fumigating Terminix will take the damage waiver not only seriously, but they will do as much damage as they feel like. One of my roof estimates came with the comment " It looks like they had a party up there." Another guy said it looked like they went out of their way to break as much as possible. All three companies who I received estimates from said there was no way that there should have been as much damage as there was. Terminix obviously is not concerned about repeat business and if I have my way, new business either. I'd post the pictures of the damage that came with the estimates if I knew how on Yelp. If you care about work ethic and the people you have to leave your house in the care of, look elsewhere for your fumigation needs or be prepared to fork over $25,000 to $35,000 after they are finished with you. read more

No phone call, no courtesy, they sent my account to this "Focus Receivables" AFTER I paid them in MAY and now this is on my credit and it's been HORRIBLE TO GET THEM TO REMOVE IT. The worst company ever! They bought out our previous pest control company about a year ago and we've had nothing but problems. I rarely see anyone come out, the spiders have progressively gotten so bad, that I had spider webs hanging from my lights in the hallway and my kids are getting bites in bed. When I woke up with a bite this am, it was the last straw!! I swear they only spray watered down poison. The spiders are so big in my backyard that my kids refuse to go play. Not to mention, they try to keep increasing their prices. With the other company I NEVER once saw a spider much less a web and they sprayed only every 3 mos. Seriously disappointed! read more

Someone from "Magic Pestcontrol" the " residential service" division of Terminix knocked my door just a few days after moving to my new house. They told me the area had quite a lot pests and need to have control otherwise my house would be "bothered". I trusted them and signed the "contract". It was a short talk and I couldn't read carefully all the Ts & Cs. After the first service, I found the effect was very limited and actually I learned from neighbors that we don't have much pests issues. I didn't allow them to come anymore, however they kept withdrawing "payment" from my account without my authorization and didn't notify me until I received the bank statement. I contacted them and was shown that so called "Contract" that I have to pay one more time service even if I cancel the contract. This kind of terms are not legal. Their behaviour makes no difference as a robbery. Stay away from this company and never ever give them your bank information. read more

I was a loyal terminex pest and termite control customer until today. I discontinued my pest service years ago due to them not keeping their scheduled appointments, setting appointments without me knowing about them only to pull up to my home with a service ticket claiming they had came and only treated the front of my house. I had kept my termite protection but again their customer service along with technicians that don't have the common courtesy to call if they aren't able to make a scheduled appointment are what made me cancel . They were once a great company but for the last 5 years its gone to shit! Never again.. I even called corporate only to have one of their own associates tell me there was nothing they could do since they are catering more to the new customers since they are paying more money for service than us customers who have been with them for over 10 years, enjoy it newbies because once they hike their prices again you'll be bottom on their list and fed a bunch of lies about how they value your business yet do nothing to fulfill their end of the contract.. read more

I was extremely disappointed with I schedule an appointment between 12-3 pm they rescheduled appointment to 3-5 pm and didn't bother to notify me. I had tenants waiting all day for service. When I asked to speak to a manager, either they were not in their office or not answer their phone. The service technician didn't answer his cell phone either. Then I was told that some one would arrive at my location in 15 minutes. The service tech didn't arrive until 1 1/2 later. basically 15 minutes until 5 pm. Ridiculous!! I see that I am not alone with my terminex experience!! I had 2 accounts with terminex, my house and my elderly parents (92) house. I cancelled the accounts due to me moving and considering assisted living for my parents. They only cancelled my home account.....Didn't cancel my parents home!! I found out when I went to purchase my new home that the account was in collections, which was in its 3rd month, which I quickly paid the $85.... When I called they stated that they made attempts to contact. Unfortunately, not my number which was the primary number. My parents have Alzheimer's and Dementia!! I never received any contact from them and despite the numerous attempts to have this removed from my credit report, they have not corrected this error. The service personnel who would come to my house were very friendly and would adjust to my schedule when asked. It is unfortunate that I will not use them again until this error is corrected, it's a loss of business for them due to their lack of communication, but for me higher interest rates and negative posting on my Credit scores!!
