I give Ternerita a 8/10, It's up there on my Venezuelan restaurants. The food is very tasty and delicious, I find the prices to be very reasonable for the food. They have been a bit inconsistent in terms of food temperature when I've gone. Some days it's great and fresh off the grill, other times my food is a bit cold like it was sitting for awhile but I believe it's due to rush hours. It's best to go during low rush hours but despite that, the staff is very attentive, the ambiance is great! and the food overall is very delicious. read more

The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauces were fantastic. We sat outside and we were waited on by Angely, she provided spectacular and quick service. We had our baby with us and she opened up the big outdoor umbrella to cover him from the sun and also brought us extra sauces for the Parrilla. Went here last night with a party of 7. Service was attentive and our server did a great job of describing the menu. Everything is reasonably priced, surprisingly, even the drinks. My hubby and I shared a fish ceviche which was fresh and tasty. We also got The Parrila Venezuela which was a lot of food. Steak, chicken, sausage, chicharrón, and a side of arepas and a beautiful salad. It was very tasty and so much food we took half of it home. For our main, we shared the ribeye steak with sautéed mushrooms, which was cooked to perfection. It was juicy, tender, and rich in flavor. As for drinks, we tried the strawberry margarita, "Love Forever," a special margarita, and a strawberry mojito. The Love Forever drink was my favorite. It was like a smoothie with a splash of wine. I've been on a real patacón kick lately and have been trying them every chance I get - this one is by far my favorite so far! We also had 3 different arepas but the arepa reina pepiada was by far the best. I do have to mention the service was not the friendliest. Also, when I asked for water I was automatically given expensive bottled water I did not ask for. Lunchtime with our little dogs sat outside. Server was very friendly and caring. Kudos for her! Their Mechada Arepa Cabimera is huge and OK. Tequeños are OK as well. My wife liked their Sangria, my Margarita was an OK premixed. What was not OK is adding a fixed 18% tip (lunchtime and only two of us; we usually tip over 20%), but the worst was an undisclosed 3% additional surcharge for using a credit card (this is ridiculous). This changed a good experience to BAD taste. We go often to the area and will avoid Ternerita due to their management having nothing "tender" in the way they surcharge. So Sad. read more
