Terra Aesthetics & Wellness - IV Hydration Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

For reference, this review is for the deluxe head spa treatment. This business is in a pretty unassuming, and generic looking medical building, and although there was plenty of parking for the building in general, it was tricky to figure out where to park to get to this business since the entry door is on the street-side of the property. I ended up parking right in front of the business along the street, rather than in the parking lot since there was no direct walkway to the entry from the parking lot. Once inside, the center looked like any other little medical office with a reception area and a few small rooms. Since I was coming here for a spa treatment that was gifted to me, I figured they would have a nice bathroom that I could pop off to before my treatment, but they only had a shared bathroom that was not in the same suite, so I had to walk out of the suite and venture down a long hallway and ended up in the middle of the office complex to use the shared public restroom. That was a bit strange, but I didn't let it bother me. I'm just glad I hadn't yet changed into the spa towel top that the aesthetician asked me to put on for my treatment. Once I returned from the restroom, the woman came in and had me lay down on the massage table, and covered me with a nice warm blanket. She put a little probe on the top of my head and was able to show me what my scalp and hair looked like at a super magnified level, which was pretty cool. I'm assuming this was part of the "scalp analysis" that was included in my treatment as part of the "deluxe head spa" experience. However, all she said was "not too bad," and didn't explain or go over anything else in detail related to my scalp, just proceeded to ask if I would like a hard or soft massage, and which I requested regular pressure. I must say that the dim lights, music, and trickling water from the head spa fountain was really relaxing and put me at ease right away. Next, she put a wet face mask on me, and covered my eyes with a light cloth. I liked that she put some sort of ear cover on my ears, presumably to keep water out. The experience was about an hour total and it consisted of multiple hair washes/rinses, head massaging, a brief neck and should massage, and steam. My only qualm was that there was no warning when she would turn on the water nozzle/sprayer in the sink that my head was resting in (which was right by my ear), so it always kind of startled me. Also, the water temperature changed from super hot at times to plain cold water. But the neck and shoulder massage was really nice while it lasted. At the end of the service, she had me sit over in a chair and she showed me another close up of my scalp, which to me looked pretty much the same. Again, no explanation of anything, so if I was supposed to see a difference or if this was the "scalp analysis," it was really lacking. The service ended with her using a blow drying brush to dry my hair. It's nice that they dry your hair for you afterward, but I would have preferred just a blow dryer to the blow dryer brush that felt a little too grabby and damaging. All in all, the beginning of the experience when she put the face mask on me and it was quiet and relaxing was nice. The head massages were also nice. However, it just wasn't a super relaxing experience the rest of the time because of the noises, and the loud water sprayer that she was fumbling around with. In my opinion, I think it would have been nice if she would have told me what she was doing or explained what each step was, just for info. Just think that would have been cool to know. Also, my back was just killing me the whole time because the table was just a flat, unsupportive beam basically, so when it came time to sit up, I actually had trouble getting up - but that could just be my body? I think some of the experience could have been better if there wasn't a language barrier. I could tell the woman who helped me didn't speak much English so any conversation or questions I tried to ask her kind of went in one ear and out the other. In summary, is this a cool experience?! I REALLY wanted to love this. Honestly, what sounds better than a head spa experience with scalp massage, face massage, hair masks, steam treatments, etc.? However, I just don't think, for the price point, it was worth the money. It was a super thoughtful, incredible gift to receive, but ultimately, I was left wanting more of a tranquil, spa-like experience, and this wasn't really it. This might be a newer service they offer, and they might still be trying to perfect this treatment (and I hope they do!), but I don't think I would recommend it to someone based on my experience, as well as the cost of the treatment. For $249, go get yourself a relaxing, full body massage at a spa that has all the bells and whistles, because you won't get that here. read more

The only thing that have worked for me to help with my vitamins are the iv vitamins. I have also tried the head spa, and it's a great way to relax. Gaby is like a library when it comes to health information. You can see and feel the passion when she is helping all of us. Come try an iv and the head spa with them. During your first visit they do a full consultation and talk about what your aesthetic goals are, then give you a treatment plan. During my Hydrafacial, Cinthya also gave me a suggested skincare routine tailored to my skin needs. Everyone is super friendly and professional, and you really get a "luxury" experience here. Another reason I love this med spa is that they seem very passionate about the education and training of their staff- which is super important if someone is working on your face! Gabby is nice and loving, you can tell she loves her clients. Katias brows are to take your breath away. All of the ladies are amazing. The email was a surprise since I never confirmed the appointment on 11/30/23 at 3:00 pm. As I was reading the email there was a purple highlighted box that read, "Review pre-care forms." I clicked onto the box and to my surprise there was a "Dermal Filler Consent" form listed on my profile. I clicked onto the Dermal Filler Consent form and scrolled down... I receive an Massage with an inexperience therapist. She covered both my eyes with warm eye pad and goggle! The pressure was light throughout the entire time. I asked her to apply more pressure but she kept same pressure. After the service the receptionist ask how was the " Deep Tissue " Massage? I told her it was not deep tissue I didn't not like it at all. She said oh would you like to do a makeup. I said ok I also added introductory of Scalp massage. We put on their calendar an hour later she left me a voice mail said her Manager refuse to do a makeup so I said just do 45 min. She said ok. I called to reschedule my makeup massage appt today 8-25. Manage answer she was being totally rude unprofessional said we have the recording of your conversation. The receptionist never offer a makeup because you received the full service!. I can't believe that she choose to ignore what her staff said and totally denied my request to re-do a decent Massage. I will NOT recommend going to this place for service.
