My sister has said how exceptionally friendly, how helpful the customer service is at Terra Bella, and how stunning their flowers are, and I personally experienced that today. . I walked in 25 minutes before closing, was warmly greeted by the staff and the owner, and 15 minutes later walked out with an amazingly beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers. The shop is gorgeous, smells heavenly, and the service is exceptional. One of the things I noticed while perusing Terra Bella Flowers' offerings on their website was the variety of displays that focused on specific color palettes: deep red & rich pink roses combined w/ bursting burgundy dahlias; or a combo of sunny yellow roses w/ bright orange seasonal flowers - attractive displays entitled "Amethyst" or "Northwest Gothic." My friend was thrilled with the birthday bouquet delivered to her door: her favorite gem tones were all wrapped up into one beautiful arrangement called "Summer Wine!" Not only was Terra Bella Flowers quickly responsive to my palette specifications/delivery specifics requested via email (Thank You again Tati and Jessica!), but their floral design was above & beyond expectations. And, they offer Seattle's famed "Fran's Chocolates" in case flowers aren't enough. I only wish that Terra Bella Flowers' grace was available in San Francisco! read more

UPDATE: After seeing my review, Terra Bella reached out to make it right. They're sending a new arrangement. I appreciate that. I'll post an update after seeing how long it lasts. I loved Terra Bella Flowers for years, especially their Jewel Box arrangement. I especially liked that they are unique and didn't do the standard FTD-type arrangements. I'd order a few times a year for delivery and pick up arrangements at their Nordstrom location often. Unfortunately, the past couple of times the flowers didn't last as long as they usually do or should. On September 28, I purchased two arrangements: the Jewel Box and a succulent "cake". The next day the flowers looked iffy and by the morning of third day the arrangement was so brown and wilted I threw it out. I checked the water each day so that wasn't an issue. Making this disappointing experience worse, I called the shop the next Saturday to let them know what happened and left a voicemail, no one called me back. Because the flowers are dying quickly and the poor customer service, I'm not using Terra Bella anymore. I took my business to a florist downtown and the last two arrangements lasted a week. read more

I walked in needing some flowers for an anniversary that I totally procrastinated on and was a little nervous...the place looked like serious business and I knew next to nothing about flowers. My past experience has been picking up whatever looked good at the local grocery store. Terra Bella Flowers exceeded my expectations...the employees were knowledgeable and serious about their craft, without any pretentiousness. I was trying to get flowers for my wedding. These guys received groovy Yelp reviews and 2 recommendations from my friends, so I decided to give 'em a shot. 1st try: I emailed them through their website in the morning. No response. 2nd try, same day: I called them during business hours (noon-ish). Voice mail. I left a message with my phone number. No response. 3rd try, same day: I headed over after work. The gal behind the counter acted as though I was interrupting something. Then she made it abundantly clear that she was uninterested in helping me when she said, "Do you want to make an appointment to speak with someone? I mean, I'm perfectly capable of helping you, but probably someone else would be... better." It was at this point that I looked down at the counter to see a copy of Twilight sitting there. I should have turned around and left right then and there, but instead I mentioned that I had made two previous attempts to contact someone that same day, but if an appointment was necessary I would go ahead and make one. Theeeen she told me that she was "gonna go ahead and blame" the person who had worked before her for not returning my call. Whatever. Dubious, I made an appointment for Saturday and left. I received a call the next day from someone at the shop who informed me that the employee I'd spoken with had "neglected to inform you that we are actually closed on Saturday for the holiday (July 4th... which was on a Sunday) weekend,: and they would need to reschedule my appointment. 3 strikes and you're out! I gave my money and my love to Willow & Bloom in Fremont instead. read more

Terra Bella has been my favorite florist ever since I received my first arrangement from them about a year ago. They are local, sustainable, and have amazing staff! I recently ordered 6 arrangements from them for a small party, and I had only received 5 in the delivery. I reached out on Friday afternoon after they had closed, not anticipating I'd be able to get into contact with anyone. Erica made a beautiful bouquet and boutonniere for me for my courthouse wedding on short notice. The flowers were gorgeous, and the price was very reasonable. I called on the day to see if I could pick up a bit early (my schedule got wonky, and it was worth a shot!) - I was told that she was not happy with the way the bouquet was turning out, so she went to the flower market to buy more blooms to include. I was really excited to try a local florist for some flower deliveries that I needed for a few friends. Sadly, I don't think I will use Terra Bella again because when I called and placed an order using the arrangements on their site, what was delivered was nothing comparable. It was only about half the size and kind of looked like something I could have bought at the store. I understand that different flowers are in season than what was pictured, but in no way did this even resemble the same idea or form of the sample on the site, yet it was the same price. Even though we weren't their big ticket wedding they still took the time to make me feel like it was, from the first meeting to the pick up everything was excellent. I was looking for something a little different and really liked the idea of planting some of my bouquet after the wedding. Terra Bella took the visions straight out of my head and created two unique pieces, with air plants, cactuses and interesting flowers. Prices were beyond reasonable. I went in for the first time this week to get a small bunch of flowers for my boyfriend, who had started teaching at a new school that day. I usually just pick up whatever is least ugly/dead at Safeway, but I hate grocery store flowers, so I took a chance. We gave her our two main colors, a bunch of old bottles to use, and a few photos on Pinterest and let her do her thing. She knocked it out of the park! If you're looking for a reasonably-priced, locally minded florist, TerraBella is your spot. In preparation for my wedding, I got quotes from a number of florists including one who just about scared the teeth out of my head when she said my wedding couldn't be done for under $2,500. Then, I went to TerraBella. TerraBella was flexible in meeting my (way smaller) budget while providing exactly what I wanted. Little things - like the boutonnieres and bridesmaid bouquets were priced extremely reasonably. They were easy to work with, were considerate of the little things and punctual with their arrangements. I also really enjoyed the owner's dog lolling around in the shop, the other sweet garden knick knacks inside and the overall laid back attitude of the staff. Flowers are sourced locally and always in season. My husband I were getting married out of town and wanted to pick up the flowers the day before. Staff were really helpful in choosing buds that would last a day and look fresh for the wedding. We worked with Devon who was fantastic. Our family was having a very special event that my husband and I could not attend, sadly. We live in California and the event was in Seattle. But we wanted to be there in spirit and with lots of colors, so we offered to provide the flowers. Terra Bella was so patient with my fretting over the types of flowers and their colors but when they were delivered, they were absolutely beautiful! Their online guide and gallery was what drew me to them and the fact that I could actually speak to a real live person instead of ordering generically online was another huge plus. The event was on a Thursday and I ordered the flowers 2 days before, on Tuesday. They were delivered at the time I specified and the guests took pictures of the arrangements because they were so eye-popping. I just ordered some sympathy flowers for a co-worker and was recommended to Terra Bella. My first impression was stunned at the gorgeous photos of what appeared to be truly amazing arrangements and prices that were far more reasonable than the out of state company I was going to order from, but started seeking elsewhere when the shipping fees where 50% of the cost plus the cost of the floral arrangement. Not only was I able to save my work some funds but we were able to get an incredible delivery today without the expensive shipping fees. To top it off, we had somehow overpaid due to delivery dates and I was immediately asked if we wanted a refund or if we wanted it applied to the total floral assortment. Such fabulous customer service with a real personal touch. I felt like I was talking with Laura instead of emailing a stranger. They were so creative and unique in their ideas -- given that our venue was the Georgetown Ballroom, we didn't want (or need) too many flowers taking over the space. They designed simple, beautiful, and delicate arrangements to go with our centerpieces. And - my bouquet!! I had my heart set on dark red dahlias - but this was risky at the end of the season - just to be sure, we came up with some additional ideas which were equally awesome.
