I gave melissa very detailed descriptions of what I wanted for my wedding party, I even included a picture! I asked for very standard flowers and left only one area open for suggestions (a secondary blue flower in the brides bouquet to ad a LITTLE bit of color...meaning i did not want many of them and it would not have a huge impact on the price). I asked for a "rough" estimate on what she would charge for the specific flowers and arrangement sizes. her response? that I need to "respect" that she wont spend the time to give me an estimate or share her ideas which I could then take to another florist unless I am dedicated enough to come in and meet her. um...excuse me? I didnt ask for any of your ideas. I gave you MY ideas using 2 very standard flowers. Maybe this is the bridezilla in me coming out, but she should respect that brides have a lot on their plates as well and arent going to waste their time on a florist who wont even give an estimate price range on very specific arrangements. Why would I waste my time setting an appointment just to find out your way out of my price range? thumbs down from this bride. read more

I got my wedding flowers at Terrabella. They were beautiful!! It was very important to me to have local and organic flowers. I only had a vague idea of what I wanted, so Devon sat down with me several weeks before the wedding and we talked about what I liked in terms of flowers, colors and the feeling I wanted to convey. She had great ideas. She was easy to communicate with, both by phone and email. All responses were prompt. The invoices (all 3 of them, because I changed my mind a few times) were clear and easy to read. We met again the week before the wedding and she created a mock-up for me to take home. I also needed silk flowers because of venue limitations and she created the most beautiful bouquet. All flowers were delivered exactly when they were supposed to be delivered. Never Made Mothers Day Delivery! I ordered a really nice arrangement for my Mother on Mothers Day, placing the order and receiving written confirmation two full weeks in advance since I was due to be out of the country. I contacted my mother and the day after she confirmed that no flowers ever arrived! Having spent almost $120 for this, I immediately contacted Terra Bella Flowers. After a while they confirmed that no delivery had been made, and that it was their fault. Their remedy was to offer to make another delivery (it was now two days after Mothers Day) for a 30 percent discount off of their retail prices! Frankly, I was outraged. First, they freely admitted it was entirely their fault. If I had not brought it to their attention, I NEVER would have heard from them. I suggested that they call my mother (since I was traveling in the Middle East) and apologize, something that had apparently never occurred to them, I am not sure why. My mother actually called them before they called her and because she had gotten flowers from others that day said she did not need more. She was actually just trying to save me money though because she felt bad that I had spent so much money on flowers that never arrived. I understand that mistakes happen. But when you make one like this, you make good on it, you do NOT offer to make the delivery two days later for a measly 30% discount. You drive up there and make the delivery you should have made in the first place for free, or at least do something nice to reflect the fact that you totally screwed up. Obviously these folks think they are better than everyone else and that customer service is not important. They should be ashamed. Go someplace that actually cares about your business and does the right thing when a mistake does occur. read more

This is a beautiful little shop! They make lovely flower arrangements, of course, but they also have an eclectic range of gift and decor items, from European soaps and candles to hanging candle holders dripping with crystals. Some great gifts for children and inspired holiday decorations, as well. Come in and talk to the charming and helpful ladies here if you need a unique gift, or want to get inspired about your own decor. It's a little tricky to spot on the west side of Greenwood Avenue, just south of the Holman Road intersection -- look for the small, light green building with a few parking spots right out front. read more

I worked with Erica to do flowers for my wedding. They were very flexible in working with my budget and also with coming up for solutions to my slightly unconventional requests (like 8 foot tall birch branches to flank the stage). They were punctual, and even delivered some flowers themselves that were running a bit late. They also stayed later than needed to make sure the centerpieces got set up for the reception. The bouquet they made for me was absolutely gorgeous, and remains so 4 days after the wedding. I highly recommend this florist. read more

My first time, stopped into the shop today. I'm a plant-idiot, but I've wanted some succulents for a while now. I picked out a pot and a plant, and one of the staff nicely pointed out that succulents like to be crowded (so I picked out some more). I asked if they could plant/arrange them for me and they did! When I called to set an appointment, they were so positive and excited for me and really took the time to listen to my ideas, we brain stormed over the phone as she took down my information and I hung up feeling very excited for my appointment. When I got to the appointment and met with Melissa she really listened well but Also had fantastic ideas! When I received the proposal she really considered my budget but also seemed to capture all the things we talked about. I am really excited to see my flowers on my wedding day. We ordered a bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids bouquets, two wrist corsages, and five boutonnieres as well as some loose peonies and curly willow branches for decorating our venue. We had a brief meeting with Melissa, who asked us questions about colors of my dress and my husband's suit as well as other colors and themes for the wedding. I really didn't have a clear picture of what the flowers would look like when we picked them up, but trusted Melissa and her team to put together something great. I live abroad, so Terra Bella flowers were the perfect solution to send a present to my sister on her birthday. The only hitch was she doesn't need flowers, but Terra Bella had great gifts for the garden centric. The only hitch was after I placed my order, they couldn't get a hold of me to tell me they were sold out! So what did they do? They solved the problem fabulously and sent my sister a bud vase with a note saying she got her first choice of Aprons when they arrived in the store. So my main purpose was served, I wanted my sister to get something on her birthday and she was thrilled. So basically amazing customer service. Maybe someday I'll get to visit the store in person, but for now, I know who to order flowers from in the Seattle area! read more
