I went with my best girlfriend for a night out. I was such a fun experience to shop the market while we waited for our reservation. The staff were all very kind. The atmosphere was super relaxing and just a good energy. Our waitress Ariel was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions. My dinner pictured was one of her picks and it was so good. We went their for a date night and let's put it, it has very romantic ambience with dim lights and green plants. Their service is really good, but do book it well in advance. They have a stellar wine collection and the servers are very knowledgeable about it (5/5). The pasta that we tried was a kind of disappointment with lots of butter and no cream. Mothers Day Brunch - we booked a reservation and there was no where listed that this would be a buffet. Great surprise! It took 15 minutes once we sat down for a server to even bring us water (it's a buffet servers only jobs are clearing plates and filling drinks). The food was okay, but absolutely not worth $75 per person. There were tons of servers and other employees working yet a stack of plates on our table took a long time for them to clear it. I 'm not always a fan of restaurants at the mall, but I actually forgot that I was attached to Northpark while dining! Located on the third floor of Eataly, Terra is Italian food inspired by earth and fire with a menu that reflects just that. This isn't your basic spaghetti and meatballs menu, it has OPTIONS! I started with a cocktail (of course) and decided on the Park City Whispers, a vodka based cocktail with limoncello, raspberry, and Prosecco. Delish. There is also an extensive list of wines to choose from. I appreciate that you can get a small sample before a full glass is poured. Food wise, to start we ordered the Panne Otto (bread and butter) and the Arrosticini (lamb skewers). THE LAMB! My, my, my. So good. The flavor was amazing. Some of the best lamb I've had. My friend and ordered the Pappardelle, a house made pasta with Local Wagyu Ragù. She loved it. I took a leap and tried the Agnolotti (Rabbit filled pasta). Not going to lie, I was a bit nervous, but it was DELISH! The way the pasta melted in my mouth... It doesn't look like much flavor-wise, but the sauce really had some great flavor. I added a little crushed red pepper for a kick. Downstairs, you'll find the store/market with fresh pastas, wines, cheeses, meats, seafood, pizza, oils...the list goes on. Let me start by saying the ambiance of this restaurant is top tier. It's absolutely stunning! Elegant, cool, chic vibes will make you feel like you're in a movie. The staff goes above and beyond for their guests in every way, I can tell you. I booked this dinner last minute for Valentine's Day, we were doing a double date so I wanted a menu most would enjoy. The Italian cuisine here is phenomenal. I started with red wine suggested by the manger as I wanted a dryer wine with my meal, it was perfect for my taste. As apps we tried the carpaccio, cheese & olives, bread & butter. All were wonderful starters everyone enjoyed. My main course was Ravioli di Zucca- Kabocha Squash-Filled Ravioli toped with Shaved Urbani Black Truffle. The flavor was incredible, savory and creamy but I thought it was bit undercooked for the thickness of the ravioli as it was chewier than I hoped. I also tried some lamb chops and wagyu skewers, perfect meat choices which were grilled to perfection. Dessert ended the meal with a gelato cart that comes to your table to serve you and guests, choosing topping choices available. Sweet, light and sending you out on a sugar high. You can tell top notch, quality ingredients really make up this food in every dish at this establishment. I do believe they are over priced all in all, we paid almost $400 for a table top of 4 (excluding gratuity). I was a little surprised by this so it's not your everyday dinner date. First by the promos on FB you'd think this part of Eataly had some thing special in March. No, they still had their winter ( plaid) "Alpino" theme. Second, I did not realize this was the "expensive " Eataly restaurant and we were meeting friends But we sat down for an early dinner and got a nice table. Our friends had to sit in the plaid pillows; chairs too low. I ordered a Peroni assuming I could get an Italian beer. Nope, the waitress poured everyone's wine and then proceeded to take our food order. I was drink less. So rather than find the beer, I ordered a wine. Summary of the rest: service spotty- we couldn't get second wine poured and the server put dishes in front of the wrong people and did not know our order. The only good food was the little gem lettuce and beet salad. Everything else was overpriced and not as we were promised. No charcuterie. We had seen scallops on some of the reviews so my daughter really had her mindset on some scallops for dinner. They weren't on the menu so we asked if they could do scallops à la cart along with some pasta. She said no they are on the menu we saw them under a seafood entrée sampler and she said they won't do them by themselves. The chef is like a Hells kitchen chef, and doesn't do any requests. Definitely won't go back unless it's to buy some groceries from their Italian market. Pretty restaurant though. read more

They get an A for Ambiance, but I came for 3 things on the brunch buffet. 1) The Woodfired eggs - Could not tell the difference between this and regular scrambled eggs. And they oversalted them. 2) Prime Rib - was cold but otherwise ok 3) Carbonara - Advertised as spaghetti with guanciale, tossed in parmesan cheese wheel. What I got was undercooked rigatoni with pancetta cooked in a regular pan. The chef said that they had gotten complaints about temperature when it was cooked in the wheel, which I call BS on. Overpriced Italian food but it was yummy! We ordered the Prosciutto San Daniele for appetizer. I wouldn't recommend getting this if you are sensitive to raw tasting meat. The texture was more like sushi but I really liked it. For an entre I got the Pappardelle con RagÙ Rustico and it was delectable! The only issue is that it was $26 for such a small portion. Finally, for desert, we got the tableside gelato and tiramisu. Both deserts were very sweet so we ended up not finishing them. The reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because of the service. We asked for bread to pair with the appetizer (make sure you ask for it, it's complimentary) and they didn't bring it to us, which is fine but it was impossible to find our server. My friend ended up going up to the bar to ask for it. The server wasn't attentive to our table at all and only came around when I had to call him and ask him for more water. They have their own way of making it which was made to perfection. They also came with sweet crushed walnuts. For our appetizer we ordered the Polpo E Patate "Squid with Potato". If you like seafood it's good. Then we ordered our entrees, the Bistecca de Maiale Alla Griglia, "Grilled Porkchop" and Agnolotti Al Coniglio, "Local Rabbit filled Pasta" and also ordered an extra side, Cavolfiore Affumicato " Smoke Cauliflower" all so flavorful everything went so well together. Terra has become a favorite for brunch on the weekends, the food and drinks are always amazing. The service has always been wonderful, but we were disappointed the last visit for a couple of reasons. When I made the reservation, I selected 'birthday' as the reason for the visit (I never do this and always wondered the reason, and no one said anything so I don't think there really is), I also requested a booth. When we arrived, my reservation was located and we were led to a four top table. I asked if there were booths available and the host politely said no, although looking around, the restaurant was still 80% empty as they had just opened. Once our server came, he moved us without question to a booth. After a great meal for the three of us, we asked for two checks, one person on one, and myself and the birthday guest on another. My sister had a gift card, and I did as well. The server said she would take the cards and separate the checks at the register so I handed her my gift card and credit card. When the server returned, she had put both gift cards on the one check, then charged my card for the difference, and never split the checks- she said she was unable. Additionally, if you have an emailed gift card, you have to go downstairs to customer relations and have them turn it into a physical card to use (even when making a purchase at the store). This is not convenient, nor a streamlined experience for the customer or guest. I hope Eataly considers this going forward to improve the guest experience and brand loyalty. It was very frustrating to have to pull out the calculator and do the work ourselves. read more

I really wanted to love this place, but it did fall short of my expectations after I'd heard so many people raving about its opening. Our waiter was nice, but he seemed a bit distracted and seemed to forget about our table for a while. We also ordered an appetizer that didn't come until after our main dishes arrived. I ordered the pappardelle con ragu rustico and it was just ok. Definitely not bad, but nothing special and not worth the price tag in my opinion. They wedged us into a corner booth sized for four. the restaurant was extremely loud that we couldn't hear each other across the the table. Then there was the menu. I was extremely disappointed at the lack of selection on the menu. It was clear they wanted you to drink a lot and be numb by the time your food came out. There were a handful of main dishes that gave a poor representation of the variety of dinning opportunities Italy has to offer. The prices were exorbitant given the measly proportions and poor execution of the plate. $100 for a two person meat variety plate which featured a few poorly cooked bites of stringy steak, sausage and a burnt potato that had spent too much time on the flame. there were no sides or salad to accompany the plate. No bread to accompany the meal, nothing. I was hoping for much more and walked away knowing I wont ever return. After making recommendations we started off with a few appetizers, filleto crudo and arancini which were absolutely delicious! Great wine selection, of course. Waited 30 min for our table to be ready although we had reservations. more than 20 people were gathering in the hallway that all had reservations and weren't sat at their tables although multiple tables were open. it took another 20 min for our server to come and get our drink orders. Food arrived before the drinks. we had ordered lattes that were cold when they arrived at the table. one of us had ordered a cocktail that we never got and they forgot about completely. Food was very average, steak overcooked. Waiter apologized and said they are understaffed. Maybe better idea for them to close their restaurant if they're understaffed on a major holiday when people are going out to get brunch. Terrible experience! The table was right up front by the door where other diners were waiting for their tables. Not only could we not experience the restaurant but the sun was shining right in my eyes. We asked to be sat at another table and even offered to wait for another table but were denied twice by the front of the house. They did offer me sunglasses to wear which was not a solution.
