One of my GR favorites! The happy hour is great with salad, pizza and drink specials daily 3-6 pm. I especially love the Kale Caesar salad and the Apple Cheddar salad. If you're in the mood for pizza the wood fired pizzas are fresh and flavorful- haven't found one I don't enjoy but especially love the fennel sausage pizza. The handcrafted cocktails are unique and fun and the atmosphere is clean and relaxed with an industrial touch. The staff have always been friendly and attentive. I had the absolute best experience here on 6/18. From the girl who took my reservation, to the host the night were were there, to our server, everything was amazing. We tried Terra a handful of times after hearing good things. We really wanted to like it, but after two times, we decided on one more chance. This review is specific to the last visit: First we got the buffalo cauliflower, which was slimy and inconsistency cooked (some pieces weren't cooked, some were over-cooked). My wife got the Terra Greens which was a plate of plain romaine, three small carrot slices, and a radish. She ordered it with chicken added: it was cold (maybe this was our fault for not specifying), flavorless, and the portion was about 1-2 ounces. She gave me a bite, and it wasn't even as good as plain, canned chicken. I got the "Steak". I ordered it medium-rare. It was five slices of medium-well flank steak with burnt ends, red-wine gastrique on risotto, and blue cheese. There were supposed to be onions in the risotto, there weren't. The red wine gastrique was loaded with cranberries and it was far too runny/watery to be a gastrique. And there were three small crumbles of blue cheese. Three small crumbles of blue cheese made it seem like a mistake. None would have worked, or more would have worked, but three? Lastly, the service was okay at best. Our server never asked us how the food was even though it was apparent we weren't enjoying it (since we couldn't finish half of it). We won't be going back. Ever. read more

I was a vegan out to eat with omnivore friends and I was sure it would be a "well, we can make a house salad with no dressing and give you some olive oil" kind of dinner. The menu was also absent of anything resembling a vegan option. They do mark items as vegan...but there was hardly anything. Pass on the beet hummus... unless you REALLY like beets. We were very disappointed from all we heard and the reviews we saw beforehand. We had the slowest service on a Saturday morning. We arrived with few people seated but couldn't sit where we wanted. It filled up quickly but people who came in after us got served quicker and got their food a lot faster. Our waiter was nice but spent way too much time in the back room. The food was sort of bland. The burrito had no spice to heat to the salsa. Dry biscuits, flavorless and doughy tasting apple cinnamon rolls. The breakfast pizza was good and the omelettes were okay but a but bland also. My wife and I were excited to try Terra because of the promise of farm to table dining. However, our initial experience was somewhere between poor and so-so (hence the 2 star review- it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't average either). Our waiter was very kind, and the other staff seemed very nice so no issues there at all! The atmosphere was fine- not our favorite, but interesting in the least. Our main concern was the food and menu. The menu was pretty sparse- the options were very minimal. That alone is fine, but it puts that much pressure on the items that are served to wow (and that just didn't happen in this case). We started with the hummus platter. I enjoyed the hummus, but my wife didn't care for it. I thought it had a decent flavor, but the heat wasn't for her. The naan bread alone, however, was quite bland and some was quite doughy / under baked... kinda a bummer. As for main courses, things really fell apart. I ordered a sausage pizza. The crust was quite bland, but the worst part was the huge / numerous pieces of garlic. It was just far, far too much. I was scraping entire garlic cloves off the pizza and it just wasn't good. My wife got the half chicken. We are big fans of Indian food so the promise of a curry sauce was definitely exciting to her. However, the execution was not good. Chicken was cooked well, but the sauce was not rich with flavor like we were used to in Indian cooking... it wasn't totally bland, but it was a bit boring overall. All said, because the food wasn't "wow" we were disappointed. But I would still encourage all to give it a try because our review is based only on the items we tried and others might have a different experience. read more

Went here last week. A bit hard to find due to construction around building. Nice space. Friendly staff. Nice selection of wine,beer and ciders. Had the cheese plate it was huge for 18 bucks. They had a charcuterie selection as well if you like. Also had the mushroom pizza, which had a great crust and tons of flavor. I came in tonight for dinner with a friend. It was busy enough that we chose to sit at the bar, and I'm happy we did. We were greeted by an amazing bartender named Kristen. She was very attentive to all of her guests, and even suggested the all meat pizza (Im pretty simple). No matter how busy she got, she never stopped impressing me. Nothing slowed her down, and the smile never left her face. The owners are lucky to have an employee like this, if they all have the same attitude, management is truly doing something right! Service was great, atmosphere is a bit loud, but comfortable. Food was good but I don't know that there was anything amazing about it. I was there for lunch and had the macaroni and cheese. Had fresh veggies in it which was nice, and really good chicken. Had cheese and pretzels for an appetizer as well. The cheese is really think, like a bar cheese spread, but decent flavor. I gave this 3 stars for 2 reasons. 1. It was over priced. 7 bucks for that cheese and pretzel rods from a grocery store wasn't worth it.. should have been 1/2 that. The mac was great, but for the amount of food, again, not worth the 18 bucks. All together with tip I spent 30 bucks on lunch for mac and cheese, pretzel rods and water. No matter how fresh or how you spin it, that's stupid. 2. There's just better out there, and close by. Roses on the lake is far better mac and cheese for the price, heck, hop cat has better flavor and less than 1/2 the price. The cheese dip was "meh". My husband and I have been to Terra twice and each time was a great experience! The food is great! This visit my husband had the Maple Soy Glazed Salmon and it was AH-mazing! I had the Canestri pasta with shrimp! Neither of us left with food on our plates! Also, our waiter Anton was pretty awesome! Very personable and had a great knowledge of the food and showed his passion for working at Terra! The people are really nice here! We'll definitely be back! read more
