My husband and I have been to Terra twice and each time was a great experience! The food is great! This visit my husband had the Maple Soy Glazed Salmon and it was AH-mazing! I had the Canestri pasta with shrimp! Neither of us left with food on our plates! Also, our waiter Anton was pretty awesome! I had the pleasure of eating at Terra for brunch this past Sunday and was immediately drawn to their "Hair of the dog bowl". Some of the main ingredients in the bowl include cheddar buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, cheese, and a smoked jalapeño hot sauce. Not only did this cure my hangover, the flavor medley also brought me back to my recent Charleston, South Carolina trip. I am inclined to try to make this bowl myself at home, but I know it won't be as good. So I'll just go back to Terra ;) read more

I came for lunch which probably isn't their forte. Loved the hostess and wait staff, but I found the hummus to be fairly bland, as was its accoutrements which I assumed was going to be out of this world. The soup of the day was butternut squash bisque which was really good with the crostini although a bit too rich in creamy texture (it was more paste or dip like). The winter kale Salad was also great. I was hoping for more Mediterranean flair in their lunch menu as that is what they're known for -- it's mostly pasta salads and wraps. We have come for brunch and for dinner. This place is amazing. East GR is one of our favorite places to go for a night out and Terra is a great option. Really good fresh local food. For breakfast their burrito and breakfast pizza are great! For dinner their pizzas are amazing to start, the salmon is great. Also the buffalo cauliflower was suggested by our server and was really really good. I believe their dinner menu changes frequently since they have fresh local food. Favorite place for brunch. You have to order the breakfast pizza - it is amazing. Food, atmosphere, service, and drinks are all excellent.

I used to be a regular but new and unusual reservation policy makes it impossible to walk in. Walk-ins now have a mandatory 1.5 hour wait which makes it impossible to enjoy happy hour specials. Several times now I've come in at 4:30 pm for happy hour and been turned away despite an empty restaurant. As a resident of the neighborhood, I am extremely disappointed to see a local restaurant neglect regular clientele to cater to older, suburban crowds (this is not a judgment, I spoke with some of the predominantly 50-years-and-up crowd). If you don't plan your Friday afternoon on Monday, you will not be seated. Please, please, please change this policy! read more

Morgan was our server, very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, helpful with suggestions (even took a family photo) We started with the smoked salmon spread, very good and sufficient for 6. This is one of my favorite restaurants in michigan! The food is farm to table and the wood fired pizzas will change your life. The staff have always been very attentive even on the deck. The jalapeño based hot sauce is the best homemade hot sauce I've ever had, the most comparable commercial hot sauce is Trader Joe's "green dragon". read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Terra when I was visiting GR over New Years. I ordered their special for the day which was a duck omelet served under a cranberry glaze. The cranberries itself were a little overwhelming and muffling the taste of the duck, but putting about half of the initial amount I was served initially the duck and the sauce complemented each other rather nicely. Our hostess was very excited and had a cheerful attitude about working at Terra. In the future if I find myself around East Grand Rapids, I will most likely be eating at Terra again. read more

hit it or quit it: hit it for farm to table goodness. snapshot: a well executed hipster leaning but not pretentious sit-down restaurant for those with discerning tastes. full review: you walk up to a great location, Terra GR is an anchor in eastown not far from the border of east grand rapids' one percenters. the corner unit has a nice and clean balcony, large minimalist storefront, and ample nearby street or garage parking. walking through the double doors you are greeted with hip and unobtrusive music that floats over the establishment. lighting is slightly dim. the decor is GQ industrialist lumberjack. most if not all staff have tattoos and are super chill, approachable, and helpful. this place's vibe strikes perfectly to welcome people from all social strata. their farm to table menu is expansive and their signature cocktails are inspired. deserts are fun. bonus: they serve a popular brunch on weekends. the downside to this all is that every so often the menu will change. however, usually there are at least a few things on the menu i will like. the food is excellent. downside? pricey. however, portions are large, so that softens the blow. the only other negative is it is a bit loud. a great place for a date night overall. i was waffling between a four star and a five star rating but this place truly is a full spectrum threat and that outweighs it's negatives. if you come here tell them rizvi sent you, nothing will happen, but lets make it a thing! dish of choice: pesto bucatini, pork sub'd by chicken, extra peas. i get it almost every time i go. read more

Just had a great meal with great drinks. I had a duck pastrami sandwich with pistachio whipped goat cheese that was out of this world.
