This is one of the best açaí bowls I've ever had after living in San Diego. Most açaí places have you choose one type of "base" but Terra lets you pick 3 and they have unique offerings such as green and passion fruit base. Love this little spot! It is in walking distance from the area hotels and The Wharf. They have MANY vegan options to choose from as well!!! My favorite add-on was the Terra Butter (Homemade nut butter with almonds, cashews, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds). It was so good I wished I would've added extra! The fruit was fresh and I enjoyed the experience. 9/10 The establishment is a boutique set up with a self order kiosk. There isn't much room for seating besides a couple of tables so you may have to enjoy the treat in your vehicle if you catch them during a rush. (I was waiting outside because it's a small place) I was going in and out waiting to see if I heard my name I guess my name was called when I was outside...so I didn't hear my name being called, on top of that we are by a busy street so it's loud. For one the presentation could be better. Most açaí places I've been to presents them so beautifully it seems they just throw the toppings on. My acai was runny I've never had runny acai. it was a bowl of goo mind you I ate it immediately after being served. It had a smoothie texture which was so nasty to me felt like eating acai soup. If you look at my other acai review I mention the texture being nice and solid it's always nice that way so it doesn't "melt" I am not a fan of this place for acai My gf liked the flavor of her green smoothie not sure which one it was but she didn't like the texture she said it was more like a thick juice it wasn't cold it wasn't thick it was runny as well. read more

We found this gem on Yelp. We were craving açaí and the only place we knew in the area was Jamba Juice. Unfortunately, parking downtown was horrible so we decided to check yelp. There's plenty of off street parking (Trader Joe's area) but it can get busy. There's not a lot of seating place so the majority of orders are to-go. Ordering was a breeze. Just follow the questions that's on the computer screen. I wish I could tell you what we ordered in our cup but we definitely chose almost all the options, which most were free. Our first visit we ordered the 16 ounce and we shared. It was so good that we decided to come back the next day and order the same thing (we saved the receipt because it had all the items we wanted) but 24 ounces instead. They don't skimp on the portions and the ingredients were absolutely fresh. Next time your craving something better than ice cream; this is your place. Oh, my wife also had the almost butter toast which had strawberries, bananas, coconut shavings and other topping. It tasted a bit too sweet/artificial for my taste but some may enjoy it. I always get the granola, bananas, extra peanut butter, and coconut flakes. The fruit added is always fresh. I have an allergy to avocado and the staff have always taken good care of that/made sure to take precautions since they do have avocados in the kitchen. The best açaí bowl in town! You walk in and order through a kiosk. It's pretty easy and the kiosk only takes cards. I'm not sure if you can order at a counter and pay cash, though. They prep your bowl and if they run out of toppings they'll let you know. When I went they were out of cacao nibs and I replaced it with something else. As for pricing I think it's decent because you do get a lot for your buck, if you want extras, you do have to pay, as you do anywhere else but for the most part they give you a decent portion of toppings. I get the açaí base with the chia vanilla pudding and it's soooo good! I can't speak about the ambiance because it's small but there are chairs and tables that you can use inside and outside. The most amazing Acai bowls I've ever had. I have not tried their toast, smoothies, or grain bowls but the grain bowls are definitely on my lunch must list. I had walked and driven past Terra Superfoods numerous times, even glancing in a couple times and even tho I often saw several people congregating outside holding smoothies and bowls I never ate there but it definitely piqued my interest. It wasn't until my friend came to my house with an açaí bowl and avocado toast RAVING about their food that I decided to do so. And I kicking myself I hadn't done so before. The shop is small, only three tables. You place your order via an iPad which I typically prefer but my first time there I was behind a couple who spent at least 10 minutes ordering. They must have customized everything on their order lamenting about each ingredient of every menu item. When I finally got up to order it literally took me less than 30 seconds to select, order, and pay for my order but then I already knew what I wanted and had no customizations. That was the only issue was at that moment it would have been nice to have a second iPad for ordering but all the other times I've been there I walk right up and order. My first visit, not knowing which açaí bowl to order I just selected the first listed which is The Terra. Even tho there were numerous ingredients, and I can be selective, every one sounded delicious so I changed nothing. Ordered it as is and it was incredible! Have since gone back and ordered Jade's bowl which was also equally delicious.
