Really solid bagels. Big, chewy, and usually pretty fresh. They pale in comparison to Bergen Bagels (off Flatbush) and the Bagel Hole (on 7th Ave), but are still pretty good and a good deal. Simply amazingly fresh bagels. The lox bagel is probably one of the best I've had in Park Slope. They have supposedly expanded their store from before, and so they now have a decent seating area and serve you fast. I would like to try the breakfast sandwiches one time as well and snag a discounted bagel during happy hour. If only it wasn't so far up the slope (I'm pathetic I know), I would probably go here more often. read more

If you are ever unsure of where to get good NYC essentials - A slice, a hot dog, a bagel - look for the natives and watch where they go - the police, the firemen, etc. If there is a line out the door in the morning, you've probably hit the right spot. I get the feeling that the mornings are generally the worst time of day for most new yorkers. Most of us just want to get to work without too much hassle and without getting stuck on the train. And we generally hate to wait for anything unless its something worth waiting for. Terrace Bagels is a place where people don't mind waiting in the morning. They move you fast and you always get consistency. The cafe next door is a nice place to sit down and have a cup of coffee with your bagel. However, its not the greatest place for service. This is truly a gem in our neighborhood. Great bagels and coffee that never fail. I especially like their mini bagels as I can have my bagel without a total carb overload. Iced Coffee is awesome and like others said, grab a bagel and coffee and head to the park. It just makes the rough week all worth it. read more

I have to say that after 3 years of living in Park Slope and not being super impressed with most of the bagel offerings, Terrace Bagels is a pretty darn good option. They're not the best bagels I've had in this city, but I'd venture to say they might be the best in the Slope. Minus one star cuz they're crazy busy on the weekends (which also means they're good) and the egg sandwich I had was DRIPPING in grease (though it tasted delicious), so both are really half-negatives. read more

Was sooooo excited to get a NY bagel because I hadn't been here in years. I was sort of stuck in BKLYN though, and couldn't get to my Manhattan favs. I tried this place based on YOUR reviews, yelpers! Well, lets just say I was a little disappointed. I just had a sesame bagel toasted with butter first, then cream cheese (yes, this is THE best way to eat a bagel!). It was ok, but I can get a better one at Brueggers in MA...oy vay! The exterior was too crispy, not chewy enough, and the center was not squishy enough. Didn't compare to the Manhattan shops IMHO. It was ok, though, especially in an "I can't leave this city without having a NY bagel" pinch! read more

Great bagels and great service. Get an egg bagel with ham, egg, and swiss cheese. It was so good this morning. I had a cup of the amerrto coffee it was very good. I like the self serve coffee bar. The staff is quick and friendly. There cold salads look great and the place is super clean and there are always bagels in the baskets. read more

I am so disappointed with this bagel place. I have been there three times and each time I have had a bad experience, all related to customer service. Either they got my order wrong and claimed it wasn't, or forgot to put my order in and left me waiting without an explanation. The bagels themselves are average at best. This was the first stop on our NY '09 visit. Situated up the block from the locale of the movie "Smoke", and near my folks place, I have to admit I only discovered it recently. Walking in with stroller en route to the park, we weren't the only ones causing eddies in the narrow band of human traffic moving to the counter, and then to the side to wait for food. Other yelpers comment that the cafe and non-bagel foods are uneven; I can't remark on this. The coffee was bad, but with milk and sugar was a nice way to chase down the toasty goodness of everything bagels smothered in cream cheeses (but not too much). I stuck with the lox-spread, which comprised huge chunks of fish in a creamy spread - not the crap you find at the chains. And we were blessed with a New York-moment, as an Indian lady asked the guy at the counter if "they were vegetarian". Reply: "What, the bagels? Lady, they're bread!". read more

At last, a real bagel with real butter! Though it's a bit off my regular routes, I have been here before but never tried a bagel. Got bagel and lox on a poppy seed bagel today. The bagel was decent and kind of on the big/fluffy side. Seems as though they make them a little less dense, which gives the impression that they are larger height wise. Overall, I wasn't very impressed with my sandwich. I don't think the problem was the bagel so much, but rather the cream cheese and lox. Everything was totally edible, but for some reason not that tasty or enjoyable. Maybe it was the fact that I got lowfat scallion cc, or that the tomato and/or lox weren't so so fresh. I would probably give Terrace Bagels another shot, but not in the near future. read more

Ordered bagel with cream cheese and lox and the hubby had the Greek wrap. Was disappointed to pay $9 for a bagel until I saw it, huge bagel and lots of cream cheese and lox! It was delicious. The Greek wrap was also amazing. It was crowded when I went but I got my food in under 10 min. read more

So the food here is awesome however the service is crap. Went in for three sandwiches. Just one other person and I waiting for food (I'm usually pretty understanding of screw ups if they're busy, I mean we are all only human) I told the guy there were three sandwiches and he might want to write it down, to which I received an attitude and was told he could "handle it".
