We're in town from Chicago area & this was our first stop because of the Yelp reviews. If I had to put a title to this trip deliciously spicy food, well what we had. Love the decor & the music being played it's a lot of fun! I should have got the name who brought our food out, he was really nice & we talked about where we were from. I highly suggest coming here.

This is (maybe) my 4th time enjoying Terror Tacos. Each time, I am left completely satisfied with my food choices. I've had the tacos, quesadillas, burrito, and nachos. The service here is chill and easy. This means that you seat yourself & you go to the register to order EVERYTHING. This is great for people who don't enjoy being bothered while eating. It's small but even when it's full, it doesn't feel as overcrowded as it looks --unless there's a long line for the register to order food. My food had a little mishap, and it was replaced immediately without hesitation. I got the full-sized nachos. It took 2 people (1 adult, 1 toddler) & 2 nights to finish. Because of that, I wonder if the chips can be a side offering with the nachos for the people who take a little longer to eat, so that the chips don't get too soft.

AMAZING. You could bet even tell that everything here was vegan, they did such a good job with flavoring their meat substitutes!! I had the chorizo pineapple mangler and I was blown away! Their portions sizes were so generous it was definitely two meals worth of food. The burrito was jam packed with rice and meat, I wish there was a bit more cabbage just cuz I liked the crunchy texture it added to the experience. The pineapple-mango salsa in there was light but it added the perfect hint of sweetness and spice to the burrito. I want to try everything in their menu! Not only was to food great, the theme was also unique! I love all the decorations in the restaurant! It is such a vibe, you have to go check it out. Fair warning, there wasn't too much seating inside, it was first come first serve. This place is a MUST TRY.

Fright flight and birria bowl (+ chips)

Came here for dinner due to some recommendations. Ambiance is very cool, spooky like Halloween year round. Ordered the Fright flight and the Birria Duo. It wasn't too busy, but the order took about 25-30 minutes to get out. Granted, they may have been working on some take out orders, but it felt like a lot longer than it needed to be. Additionally, they gave me a birria bowl instead. This may have been a simple misunderstanding since duo and bowl can sound similar, but they offered to remake it for me. I declined, and they gave me some chips on the house to rectify the situation so I appreciated that. The Fright Flight was very good. There are clearly ones that were better than the others. The Chili-Lupa, Carnage Asada, and the Double Diablo were very good. I think they all utilized a seasoned crumb so it didn't feel too far off from ground meat. It was seasoned very well, and very well-balanced in flavors. The other two, Buffalofu and Tofu Terror V2, were okay. The flavors were decent, but the texture of the tofu wasn't that pleasant. We've had good tofu before at other establishments, so we know what the texture can be like and so we knew what the texture could've been. I think if they improved the texture (it was a bit dry and crumbly, and not as tender as tofu can be), those tacos could be very good. As for the birria bowl, I think it was decent, but I think it could use a little more salt and heat. Overall, I didn't think it tasted that much like birria, but it was decent. Overall, despite a rough start, I think 3/5 tacos of the flight are very good. I would definitely come back and give it another try - the other tacos on the menu sound very good! 4/5 stars.

These are tacos I would scream for! Excellent execution of a themed restaurant (make sure you check out the restroom), fabulous staff (front and back), and food to die for (not from fright, it's just that freaking good). Although it may seem that I, a carnivorous spice sissy, have no place in a 100% vegan establishment priding itself on insane spice levels....it was one of the best meals I've had this year! The flavors are deep, bold, and complex, complimenting each other beautifully. In I was truly shocked at how incredible a basic witch taco could taste, and then I tried the Taco Grinder Quesadilla... That's where my heart stopped. The presentation 25/10, the portions made 2 meals, the speed and service 1000%, and the flavors punched my eyes out! I was there with spice resistant experienced vegans, they gave rave reviews for all the things that would make my face hurt, but I trust them and their pallets, you should, too. And the size of the goreditas, daaaayum. Oh yes, and their drink menu is a thing if beauty. I learned they make everything (EVERYTHING) in house, and the skill and quality comes through big time. Must have experience, make plans now!

The service was great you can order at the bar or on your phone. They have great mocktails and cocktails. Also the whole place is decorated "spooky" so neat to see this theme restaurant. The queso dip and tacos were great wouldn't realize they aren't meat based.

Hands down one of the best vegan restaurants I've ever been to. So many delicious options and big portions, especially for the price. You can order at your table with a QR code or at the bar. This time I went with the taco grinder nachos (terrorized for extra spice). I couldn't even finish half of them! So many toppings where a lot of places skimp. The smokey mezcal maiden is my go-to margarita, which they also offer to go. Fun place and don't be surprised when the decor continues into the bathroom!

Terror Tacos in St. Louis provides a great selection of vegan tacos, each delivering a unique and delightful flavor profile. The assorted tacos, showcasing a variety of plant-based ingredients, were a highlight of the dining experience. They managed to strike a balance between creativity and taste, leaving a positive impression on our taste buds. However, the much-anticipated birria, while generating excitement, fell short of expectations. The consume was disappointingly oily. The staff at Terror Tacos contributed to a pleasant dining atmosphere with their friendliness and attentiveness. Despite this positive aspect, the ambiance of the space left something to be desired. The dim lighting made it challenging to fully appreciate the presentation of the dishes, and the loud music created an environment that hindered casual conversations. Terror Tacos offers a mix of highs and lows. While the vegan tacos showcase the culinary creativity of the establishment, the birria's consume and the ambiance may leave some patrons with a less-than-ideal impression. It's a spot to consider for unique vegan options, but be prepared for potential variations in the overall dining experience.

Highly recommend Terror Tacos happy hour! My coworkers and I enjoyed the Taco Tuesday deals of $2 tequila shots, $5 margaritas, and discounted tacos. Nothing but good vibes! Friendly staff, quick service, good vegan food, delicious drinks, and a spooky ambiance. I'll be headed back soon!

The food was very food! The ambiance was different but pretty dope! It gives horror movies and O loved that! The service is more or seat yourself. You have the ability to order on the website and they'll bring it to you. You can also order at the bar. It's 100% plant based so if you're not vegan then you might not like it. It was very well seasoned though and the presentation was top tier. The buffalo chicken was so good and stuffed with flavor and food lol. It was really good the red hot riplets gave it a nice spice that was so delicious. I didn't eat my other taco because i was stuffed . The nachos were so good and flavorful as ever! If you're in the mood for healthier options for tacos it's a must try!

Terror Tacos is a spooky little vegan taco shop on South Grand. I appreciate the dedication to a good theme. The store is decorated with lots of references to horror movies - with posters and portraits of thrillers and monsters, various statues and figures, cobwebs and antique-looking chandeliers, and dripping paint down the walls, you even have the option to dine with a skeleton. The staff was very nice and greeted us immediately upon entering and would check on us periodically as we dined in. As for the food, Terror Tacos specializes in vegan tacos, burritos, and nachos which is a great option if you are looking for some plant-based offerings. The food was good, but I wouldn't be dying (get it) to come back so soon. I ordered the Carnage-Asada and Tofu Terror Tacos and split a side of chips and guacamole. I liked the tofu taco the most - the tofu was seasoned well and had a nice texture to it. The chips and guacamole were pretty standard. The Carnage-Asada taco was more spice than any other seasoning so if I came back I would probably try something else. Overall, I would give Terror Tacos a try if you're looking for a restaurant with a fun theme and vegan offerings.

I reluctantly give Terror Tacos 3 stars because I didn't love the food. It was a large portion size and seemed to be quality ingredients, but the flavor was very strong and it was hard to eat. That said, I'm so glad Terror Tacos exists! You've got to love a niche - and Terror does it with both their food (all vegan) and their decor (all horror). While neither is my thing, I really respect the whole-hearted commitment to the theme. It is very possible that I'd like another dish better, and it may also be the case that vegans would eat what I had and love it. It just wasn't my favorite meal. I'm definitely willing to return and try something new.

I came to Terror Tacos during the South Grand Dine Around and I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place before because every time I come here the food is great! I got a 3 taco basic witch order and they were delicious. This is a great vegan restaurant for people who are nervous about trying vegan food. The decor/atmosphere is really fun too!

It's been a few weeks since I had any pocket cash to go out to eat... so I decided to pick a food…read moresource at random for a Saturday afternoon, and I'm SO GLAD I did... You know how they say one of the best things about Mexico is the food? I have to admit, I would honestly wouldn't know and just have to trust the stories I've heard, as I've never been lucky enough to go to Mexico.... But all my life I've heard stories about people who go and basically remind you.. NEVER hit a restaurant for _authentic_ Mexican food. You want to hit the street vendors. Well, St. Louis has a fantastic surprise.. Now you can do that right here in the city! Part of a three-restaurant set up, Amigo Sole is the "street vendor" restaurant that's not on the street. (And having met the owner of the full set-up, I'm REALLY hoping i get invited to the grand opening of Jekyll & Hyde) As it was middle of the day Saturday, I didn't ask for anything alcoholic (so i don't know if the reviewer that asked for alcoholic beverages and was told they didn't have any was just unlucky or if it was true.) But I'll take a Mexican Coke over American Coke any day of the week (NO, get your minds out of the gutter.. not that powdered one!). Anyway, I went simple for a quick stop, and went with the Chicken Bomb. at the recommendation of the cashier and he was quick to name this one off.. (and always remember cashiers, have a favorite READY, so thumbs up to the cashier on this one!) . And then to my amazement.. no more than 5 minutes later, HOT, tasty, cheesy, chicken quesadilla style BOMB-diggity! (Ironically this one is not listed on the website menu, only the instore menu? Come on Sole, online is everything today :) ) Absolutely delicious food.. and absolutely messy too, as it literally would fall apart in my hands.. (HEY, that's a good thing!) As for the decor.. 100% true, as Amigo Sole definitely has SOUL! (and lots of soles!). Again Amigo Sole isn't designed to be a 'great sit down' restaurant, it's designed to be street-vendor FUN!!!! and with what decoration they have, it pulls it off fantastically in my opinion. So just based on my meal, what the owner told me about the Amigo Sole, you're getting EXACTLY what you're promised a Mexican street vendor serving fantastic Mexican street vendor food, only with a roof over your head the entire time. During the meal, met again (Who i believe to be) the owner of the store and talked with him about Amigo Sole and how amazing it was to me... and he told me about the three-restaurant combination. (And I apologize sir, but I completely forgot your name when we talked!). even mentioning they share three kitchens when it gets busy (so I was kinda lucky as i think the rain scared everyone out for the day), but I'm still hoping for the Jeckyll & Hyde invitation! (I'll even pretend to find a date if I have to for the upscale part!)

When we walked in, the place was empty, besides the singular bartender standing behind the bar. She told us to sit anywhere we wanted, so we chose a table near the bar. Then, she politely asked us to move to the bar. She apologized and said she was new and that she didn't know what was going on. We started with an order of chips and salsa and shared a mango margarita on the rocks. Let's just say our marg was missing the rocks. The bartender forgot to add ice, so our margita was warm. She gave us a cup of ice to pour in. The marg itself wasn't very strong and tasted pretty syrup-y. Although the chips and salsa only cost us $2.50, I probably could've gone without. I don't think I would've liked them even if they were complimentary. The salsa was decent, but the chips were saltless and flavorless. We ordered two tacos and the arroz con pollo plate. My tacos came out at different times. Both were tiny and disappointing. I had the Hemp Avenue taco and the Sarah Street taco. The black bean juice was everywhere. The tortillas were dry and fell apart. They brought out a quesadilla instead of our arroz con pollo plate. We were confused, but the bartender insisted the order was correct. Then, a few minutes later, the correct plate was brought out. I guess I can't be mad that we scored a free quesadilla. However, it was quite soggy and the cheese was almost a rubbery texture. While we were there, a DJ started playing. The volume of the music went back and forth between increasingly loud and extremely quiet. None of the other staff members acknowledged us whatsoever. It felt like we weren't even there. I hate sounding so pessimistic, so I will say two positive things: their outdoor patio looks like a fun spot in the summer, and I bet this would be a great option if you've been out partying all night and need some food in your belly. Overall a bizarre experience from start to finish!
