Good evening, I want…read moreto share my heartfelt appreciation for Ms. Natalie and her team of SLPA's. She is an incredible Speech teacher, Coach, and Proctor. Her deep understanding of each child's unique needs is truly remarkable. She carefully chooses the appropriate standardized assessments for each student and takes the time to explain her results thoroughly. I am especially grateful for Ms. Kelly, who was absolutely wonderful with my older son. She took the time to get to know him personally and build a genuine rapport. Thank you so much, Ms. Kelly. When Ms. Kelly was replaced by Ms. Heather for my older son! She too is amazing. Ms Heather pours her time and effort to support our kids! If they see progress in their goals, they quickly update us so we can continue working on the areas that need mastery. I also want to thank Ms. Taryn, whose kind demeanor and patience have made a meaningful difference in my younger son's journey. Thank you, Ms. Natalie, for always staying on top of things and for leading such a wonderful team. Whenever I have concerns or questions, Ms. Natalie always takes the time to listen and respond, just as Ms. Heather and Ms. Rachel do. Thanks to early intervention, my older son graduated a couple of months ago, having met his goals and shown remarkable improvement in his language skills. I truly thank Ms. Natalie, Ms. Kelly, and Ms. Heather from the bottom of my heart. For my younger son, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the progress he's made, thanks to Ms. Rachel and Ms. Heather. Their dedication has made a significant difference in his socialization and speech development. I know this is just the beginning, but I am so thankful for their kindness, expertise, and the helpful suggestions they've given to support my son. I also want to express my appreciation for the social groups led by Ms. Heather, which have been invaluable for both of my children. These groups help them understand what's appropriate when interacting with peers and have facilitated so much learning. Thank you once again, Ms. Natalie, Ms. Heather, and Ms. Rachel, for being such a compassionate and talented team.Other parents reading this, remember that progress often requires time. The way the teachers pour their knowledge, love, and kindness into the kids is a Godsend! They have amazing field trips, creative ways of teaching, small classes for a better learning experience, and a strong encouragement of parental involvement. Our son can't wait to go to school the next day! It brings us so much joy knowing that he is excelling at such a high rate. This is his second year and he will continue to attend Whittier Friends School for as many years as he can!

The small student to teacher ratio ensures dedicated and through lesson plans where students are taught in a classic lesson then pencil to page reinforcement style without screens and a lot of teacher/ student interaction. Computers are used occasionally and sparingly. This as a positive because eye contact when speaking, problemsolving and communication skills are built while learning. We get a report about how the day at pick up that include the day's class activities, behavior and reminders about any school activities or meetings that are taking place or upcoming. The school takes lots of field trips that encourage learning outside the classroom and apply to the current curriculum. This school fosters a culture of scholarship, good citizenship, physical, mental and emotional health, and tolerance. Each child is encouraged to be his or her own unique and wonderful self in a gentle and structured environment. I am so happy we found rhis school and so happy with my son's academic progress. He will be attending this school until he ages out.

Fantastic, this school is a gem. The education the children get is just incredible. And I say so…read moreafter our two children having attended two other highly-regarded private schools in Orange County. What's so great about it? - The learning experience is unmatched: the teacher to student ratio is outstanding. It allows the children to learn faster, and more, a lot more! - The teachers and staff are excellent. But the big differentiator with other schools where that may be true too (perhaps not to the same extent though): everyone on staff cares! There is a great degree of accountability. - Safe! Courtesy of the Assistant Principal (Mr Rod) who is a retired Firefighter, everything is up to code and very well thought out. - Great facilities: this is a great little campus with a safe and ample parking lot for drop-off/pick-up and events, the classrooms are very nice, it's a safe building, and they have a great gymnasium for sports and weather days! - Super well organized. This school is a very well-oiled machine. We have two children in different classes this year. Not one hick-up, everything was extremely well communicated, and we even get a small paper reminder ahead of events or key items to remember. Only for French-speaking families? No! Think of this school as a top-tier school that will prepare students exceptionally well to continue in the public American system. It is designed for this (maths are in English etc.). The awesome benefit is that the children have a second language in their portfolio. So, do you need to already speak French to attend? No, unless entering at 3rd grade. You can have your children enter up to 2nd grade with no prior French experience. Should you tour this school? ABSOLUTELY! They are not pushy at all so there is really no strings attached. Ask to see the yearbook if they have one handy. You'll see how much effort they put into this school by just looking at it. It's amazing, and, included in your tuitions (and so are lunches on every single Friday of the year... as a parent, that's much appreciated!) Small school, great results.

The principal is a french native and the teachers speak french from various regions of the world that speak french! I am so glad to have been able to find a french immersion school close enough to bring my little one. The staff is caring and the little community is great! Other useful info: students need to bring their own lunches, no microwaving or such. There is one hot lunch provided by the school once a week. Kids bring their own sleepsack for nap time. School hours from 8am-4pm with a 15 min window. There are some random staff development days when students end up not having school.
