This is a high-end archival piece that sells for about $1,600 on luxury sites like 1stDibs. When I got the dress back, the sheer mesh that holds the leaf designs together was completely shredded and ripped. You can actually see the healthy mesh on one side of the dress, but on the other side, it's just gone or torn away. Now there are just frayed fibers sticking to the leaves like Velcro, which makes the dress unwearable. This was a collector's item and it was clearly not handled with the care a designer piece requires. I have photos of the damage and the 1stDibs valuation. Please reach out to me immediately so we can figure out how to resolve the cost of these damages. I am CRUSHED & DEVASTATED this dress has been in my collection for years and it is ruined now.

Although in a pandemic with multiple variants present currently, the staff member while I was there did not wear a mask and the customers did not wear masks while going in. There also was no enforcement of masks nor signage anywhere visible that said they were taking precautions or following any guidelines of the CDC. Myself and one other customer, out of five people that came in, were wearing masks. I'm not sure if other employees on other days may possibly wear their masks and follow proper guidelines, but today was definitely not the case. Laundry service is good and always has been but I definitely didn't feel too safe and/or assured that the employees and the establishment as a whole was doing their part to stop the spread of this ugly virus.

When my wife brought the blanket in, the seamstress was so understanding and empathetic knowing that my baby couldn't sleep without his blankey, so she assured us that it would be ready in 5 hours. 3 hours later. I happened to be in the neighborhood and I called if I could pick up the blanket early and it was DONE! Wow, the repair was flawless and early to boot and my 3 year old is happy and sleeping soundly... at least for the next hour. Then he's up until 11pm! Sigh, if only the seamstress could fix his sleeping habits...

Then when it's correct, they give you an appointment to come back. It's all done very professionally and the quality of the work is very good. Although it ended up being much more expensive than I thought, we now have two dresses for me and one excellent suit for my guy. And all of them fit perfectly! When he picked it up, it had been severely damaged. The material is melted and ripped, and the coat is no longer wearable. When I followed up with the business, they offered $200, which does not reflect the cost to replace the item. I located the exact same coat currently available for $319 and asked if they could cover that amount so I could replace it, but they refused. They stated the damage was due to the material and not their responsibility. However, the type of damage (melting and tearing) clearly suggests improper cleaning. If the item was too delicate to clean, that should have been communicated before accepting it. They also claimed a warning was given at drop-off, but my fiancé does not recall being told this. Additionally, when I asked about filing a claim, I was told they do not carry insurance. I understand some time has passed, but as a long-time, loyal customer, I expected a more reasonable resolution. This was handled poorly, and I cannot recommend this business based on this experience!
