Here we go again! Hello Tesla land! There are so many Teslas here new and old. This location is a service center and new car pickup location. We got our first Tesla model 3 last year. Well we actually ordered in September 2021 and finally got it in 2022! The horrible waiting game... It took unusually long to get our Model 3 cause Musk decided to push the year end orders into the next year... thanks! :( I had to wait 5 months to finally get my car! Only Tesla you can't actually walk out with a car and have to wait months later to receive it. It's insane how long it takes for you to get a car now. You can't even order a long range model 3 right now! We were lucky to be able to get the long range model Y this year when we did! But the drop in price for the model Y and the tax incentive made it so much more attractive for us to get a small SUV. The whole process can be a bit crazy and overwhelming and when you finally get notified you've been issued a VIN number, you have 3 days to pick up your car or else, back into the queue you go! Staff here is super friendly. They also have snacks and water in their showroom and a doggy as a door greeter!

Byron is great. The rest of today's experience was nowhere near what it should be when you're spending $150,000 on an EV. I booked a service appointment and took work time off to be here during the work day for: A) Wind noise in the A-pillar B) Rattle coming from the center screen C) Moisture collecting in the taillight Before I was able to book an appointment, I was required to upload videos of the sounds. It was a prerequisite in the app. None of the techs had viewed the video. Instead, I was required to take the tech with me on a road test. Because the noises are intermittent and only occur at certain speeds, we weren't able to replicate the sounds. And no! That's not "good news." And nor is it good news that I'm welcome to pay out of pocket at $245 for them to diagnose the noise and rattles that should have been audible from the uploaded video. As for the service writer who told me that "fogging in a housing is normal as long as the water isn't pooling" that may be "normal" (which it clearly isn't) but normal is not equal to correct. I had water intrusion in our previous Model S that was followed by partial LED failure. And I would bet that NHTSA would not say that partial LED brake lamp failure is either normal or correct. Why am I being asked to upload media to your app if none of your techs are willing or able to view it. It would have isolated and identified the issues. I just sacrificed three hours that I really did not have to drive here, do a road test with a tech, hear that the newfound wind noise is probably because it's a quiet car and that leaking gaskets are normal. This car in question is a Model S Plaid (VIN last four 6108). Jonathan, you know how to reach me. Byron knows who I am.

My girlfriends went with me to pick up my Model Y earlier this afternoon. The process was quick and seamless. I had paid off the car online, so upon arrival they only verified my ID. We walked to the car, paired up my phone, and boom, it was done! We took a few pictures and then I drove the car off the lot. If you're considering purchasing a Tesla, they have a small showroom with 2 cars there, a Model Y and Model 3. I had actually visited the showroom at the UTC Westfield Mall last November where I test drove the 2 models and then ordered my car. Due to the backlog, I waited an entire year before my car was built. It was worth the wait and I am very satisfied with my purchase! When my car was ready, I got a text and email with time slots for me to pick up my car. The process was very smooth. I selected my pick up time/date, uploaded my car insurance information, and made my payment. They have finance options or a link if you want to pay in full. I opted for the latter option and it was very quick and convenient! The car payment & pick up took a total of 15 minutes max. Everything was digital, so no papers to sign. Tesla really lives up to the expectation of "going green."

    Refreshed Model 3

I cannot say enough good things about Jose Reyes at Tesla Carlsbad and Ildiko Nagy at Tesla UTC! After going through 10+ phone calls trying to sort out issues with securing a Model 3 lease, these two were the only ones who truly went above and beyond to help me. Thanks to their dedication, I was able to lock in my lease and pick up my car the very next day in Long Beach... something I didn't think would be possible given all the hurdles I faced. The refreshed Model 3 is absolutely incredible, and I am completely obsessed with it! None of this would have worked out without Jose and Ildiko's support, patience, and determination to make things happen. If you need help with a Tesla lease, these are the people you want to connect with. Thank you both for making this experience amazing!

Highly impressive recent experience at this standalone Tesla location in Carlsbad - far better than any previous encounters at their mall outposts. Huge shout-outs to EJ and Brian for taking outstanding care of us. I must highlight both their professionalism and knowledge about the vehicles, but also their friendly, warm demeanors. They're excellent representatives of the brand and I found their service to be utterly refreshing in contrast to the typical high pressure sales approach and "on to the next one" attitudes often encountered in this industry. It felt like they genuinely cared about us and took their time to make sure we felt valued as customers. The facility itself is spacious and clean. Taking into consideration everything described above, visiting this Carlsbad location is well worth it if you're in the market--don't forget to ask for EJ. Safe travels and happy driving!

My mom and I began the process of purchasing a Tesla in the middle of October from the Tesla dealership. The process began with the app and speaking on the phone with a sales representative. We also needed a loan, and we had a choice to go through Tesla or our personal banker. We chose to go through Tesla's affiliated banker, Ally. A decision we would swiftly regret. We were approved for the loan, purchased the insurance through Tesla and were set to pick up our Tesla towards the end of October. Everything was going smoothly until my mom arrived to pick up the Tesla. Upon arrival, the Tesla was in poor condition with dirt and light scratches throughout the exterior. Unacceptable for a brand new car. My mom immediately demanded a new one- the model was out of stock. So, Tesla stated we had to wait two weeks. On the schedule date that we were supposed to pick up the Tesla, my mom arrived to pick up the car. When she got there, they had told her they texted her that they needed reschedule the pick up date because of a delay in the delivery. She checked her phone and yes, they did text her prior, a text which my mom must've missed from them. So again, fine no issue we can wait a few more days. Fast-forward to the following week, we finally got the car! We were super excited about it and it was in great condition. Unfortunately, that last visit was not the last interaction we would have with Tesla. My mom had started receiving bills in the mail from two different banks. One bill was from TD Financing, and one from the old banker, Ally, the financing company that we were assigned to in the very beginning of this whole process. Ally was still billing us for the old Tesla. Ultimately, the problem was stemming from the VIN #'s. Apparently the old VIN # was in my mom's name and they never got rid of it! So both old and new VIN # were in my mom's name. Embarrassingly, we found out through a debt collector spamming all phone lines saying we owe payments on the first Tesla we rejected months ago. One we didn't even OWN OR DRIVE OFF THE LOT! Whoever we spoke to failed to cancel the old loan leading to my mom being charged for two Teslas- the dirty one we rejected and the new one. Tesla did not update any loan or insurance information to match the new Tesla they would be providing. And no one notified us to change/transfer insurance and loan information to the new vehicle. Ally banking said we need to call Tesla so THEY can submit the cancellation to Ally for the first Tesla loan, only then Ally can fix the problem. I kept calling Ally and Tesla back and forth for days. No one could give me an answer at all. Both parties were playing the blame game on each other and Ally couldn't even send me a written statement saying Tesla needed to cancel the policy ON THEIR END. Tesla's response was to email the financing team, Tesla Headquarters and Ally. I proceeded to contact both, and no one could assist me or resolve the issue. Tesla Financing told me they don't even have record of the "old policy". So how are we supposed to fix this problem clearly the old policy is somewhere in the system in order for Ally to keep billing us! On my most recent call with Ally banking, they notified me Tesla submitted the cancellation policy for the first Tesla in the month of January 2024. They submitted the cancellation policy two months after they were supposed to- first week of November 2023!! Due to this excruciatingly unprofessional, unorganized care from Tesla my mom's credit score is severely impacted due to the faulty debt collection of the first Tesla we never owned. Ally said this will clear in 30 days, but we have another issue already. On 1/29/2024, we have just received a notice from the DMV "intent to suspend registration" for our new Tesla. This is due to the whole VIN # mix up caused by Tesla. This is yet another problem we must fix. And after receiving zero assistance from Tesla or Ally- I do not trust the problems will end anytime soon. We regret purchasing the car so much due to the service we have received. I have called the dealership wanting a call back from the Manager for an explanation for something, anything! For this BS situation, we've had to deal with for the past two months! And to this day I have yet to receive any phone call. No apologies, no empathy, nothing. To mess up someone's credit score that severely... And going silent is ridiculous. PS The photo attached is what I received. Why would I take this to the DMV to clear my title of a car we don't OWN!! The VIN in this letter is the VIN to the first car we rejected... This letter is vague and didn't address any issues. I know Ally isn't part of Tesla but it was lettered to Tesla as well. If you're planning to finance through Tesla DONT. Censored some things to protected everyone's privacy.

    Thank You Bill!
    Marichelle D.

A big THANK YOU to Bill, who helped my in-laws with pick up and finalization with their purchase. We appreciated your patience, kindness and willingness to answer all of their questions and thoroughly go through their new vehicle with them. This is their first EV and the process with purchasing a Tesla was foreign to them. We know you went above the norm and gave them special attention. Thank You!

I was going to get rid of my (paid off) car and get into a non Lexus lease because I was getting frustrated and annoyed with service advisors. The Carlsbad location is a further drive and the center seems older. But I can tell you it was WORTH IT because of Tanner. He was upfront, honest, and knowledgeable when I first spoke to him. I needed brake pads and possible new rotors. I just trusted him when he said to first pay for the brake diagnostic (I think it was like $59.95?) and they'll know exactly the issue to see exactly what needs to be done. The fee will go directly towards any service and it wasn't a loss as I knew for sure my brake pads were worn badly. The loaner department was also quick and efficient (I think the guy's name was David?). He got me their newer 2025 RX to the loaner and I totally understand why they give Lexus loaners as I emailed tanner to say hey wait don't do the service as I may just trade in the car (kinda half joking here). But I know which car I'll be getting in the next two years now. The brake service was PERFECT. I didn't need new rotors (yes!!) but was super close to it (as i expected). I also decided to get a full interior/exterior detail for the car (haven't had it since owning it so it was much needed). I am back today for the alignment (got the wheels at Costco few min away as their 4 tire special beat Lexus). Hopefully alignment went well but I wouldn't expect anything less at this point with Tanner and his team here. Thank you Carlsbad Lex!

What does this nearly 400% markup get you? Do they shoot out colorful fireworks while you drive? They are freakin tire pressure monitors. I guess gives you an idea of how much they markup everything else in their service center. How do they arrive at a 400% markup? I mean, I'd bristle at 200%. Ridiculous. They can do it because my dumb ass buys their car and brings it there for service. Absolutely love the car. Hate the feeling of being a sucker every time I service the car. Their employees outright lied several times and have cost me more time and effort than I could have imagined. We were in the market for a used Jeep Grand Cherokee and headed over to AutoNation CDJR Carlsbad, who had a few used models on the lot. When we pulled up, we were greeted by a sales rep, who showed us a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. We test drove the car, and nothing major jumped out at us, except for a check engine light. When I asked the sales rep, he told me that the service department will toggle the check engine light on to indicate that the car still has maintenance or cleaning in progress. Didn't think much of it, other than that it seems like it made sense to a degree. We told the rep that we were going to look at a few other options but would reach out in the next week or so. Flash forward to our second visit to AutoNation... Now that we were considering buying the Jeep, I did a more thorough check thru the vehicle, and test drove it a second time. This time, there was a weird pressure releasing sound when the AC compressor clutch engaged. I brought the issue up to the sales rep, who lied thru his teeth and said "every Cherokee and Durango makes that sound, trust me I own this same car." Our response was... "great, show me one other vehicle that makes that sound on this lot, and I'll drop it." After giving up on that approach (listened to several vehicles and no sound), I asked if we can evacuate the AC system and recharge... assuming that the low level was causing the refrigerant to pass as a gas where it should be liquid. The rep called the manager and a mechanic up from the service department, who made it their mission to make me feel dumb and like I didn't know what I'm talking about. After they assured me that I didn't know what I was talking about for the last time, I told them that we were going to walk, so they evacuated and recharged and what do you know... the sound went away. We thought this was a win, and decided to pull the trigger on the car. At this point the car goes down for the "Final wash" and the check engine light goes off. We purchase the car with a financing option in place, giving us 5 days to drop a check off for payment in full, and financing would be cancelled. We drive the car home and before we even make it home from the dealership, we get a check engine light. When I plugged my first scanner in (on the next key on cycle), I got no stored and no active codes, second scanner found a previously deleted camshaft position sensor stored code. The next day, we headed back to AutoNation to hopefully work out the check engine issue and to drop the $20k check off. When we got there, we were told that we HAD to hand over the check before service could look at the car... (I win the dumba** of the year award for handing that check over). We pay for the car and head down to the service center, assuming that since it was sold the day before, we would at least get a "Sorry this is happening, we'll get it worked out ASAP." Nope... Turns out that they wanted us to drop the check off so that this work could all be billed to the 3rd party insurance, instead of coming out of AutoNation's pocket. I fully believe that AutoNation knew that this car had lifter problems and needed a camshaft (at least) and lied to make the most profitable sale that they could. When I asked for a rental car of equal size, they told me that they would pay for the cheapest option, anything above that is on me to pay for. It's been a month of us having to pay out of pocket for part of the rental AND the manager of this location has received 4-6 messages from me with zero response. It gets better... I reached out to the sales rep, (since the service center doesn't talk to customers I guess) and left a message with all of the issues that we've been dealing with. He calls me back a while later from his personal phone (so he says) because he is afraid that the manager at his location is recording his calls and if he admits that they weren't completely honest, that he'll be retaliated against. Anyone from AutoNation corporate or the insurance company that has the phone plan which includes outgoing calls... I've been asking for an explanation for a month and radio silence, please find my info from the purchase of the white 2017 Grand Cheorkee from AutoNation CDJR Carlsbad in May 16, 2026... Shouldn't be too hard to find since you still have the car I paid for a month ago... -Kevin

After…read moreseveral weeks of searching and trying to work with other dealerships we are so grateful to have contacted this Mazda location. It was a bit of a drive for us but well worth it! My husband called in the AM to inquire about the vehicle and we were driving off the lot a few hours later. Austin was our salesman who helped us over the phone before driving all the way in. When we arrived Austin had the car ready, and numbers prepared just as he and my husband had discussed earlier that day. No gimmicks or extra sales pitches. We sealed the deal within 45 minutes and before driving away, he made sure to our gas tank filled which was nearly on empty and had the car detailed (other dealerships were only offering us a $6 express car wash next door!) so this was really appreciated. After going through a few unpleasant experiences at other dealerships, we left feeling confident that we made the right decision with this Mazda dealership. Working with finance was a breeze too. Though they offer you more and it may sound appealing it wasn't in our plans to purchase an extended warranty. Yoni was respectful of that and didn't push anything on us that we didn't want. Highly recommend them if you're looking into purchasing with Mazda. Thank you all so much for helping us through this process!

I purchased a certified pre owned Mazda, come to find out that 1 month later my oil tank was DRY and my the rotors on my wheels were so rusted that the mechanic that checked my car thought it was imported because the weather should not cause that kind of damage on a vehicle that was 2 years old. Also, had suspension issues. When we mentioned this to the dealership, they were very hush hush and non apologetic. Lastly, the back bumper on the car was a completely different paint finish than the rest of the car. It's hard to notice unless you are looking for it, but it's definitely there. The mechanic we bring it into believes that it may have been involved in an undocumented crash and was maybe switched out for parts. Online the vehicle said 11k miles and the sales guy said they just recieved it in the lot, but when we arrived, it was actually at 19k miles. Sounds super sketchy and they somewhat ruined my love for Mazdas (I have owned Mazdas all my life).

She took the time to understand exactly what my family needed and helped us stay within our budget. I was searching for a very specific color, and Andrea did all the legwork--locating the vehicle at multiple dealerships, negotiating a great price, and handling all the paperwork. She even arranged delivery right to my front door. If you're tired of the stress of dealing with car dealerships and want a simple, hassle-free way to buy a car, I highly recommend working with Andrea at CarOracle. We booked a free 15 minute phone consultation and let her know what we were looking for, such as brands, colors and price points. Andrea took notes and listened carefully. She is friendly and professional. She was able to find us a car with a great discount literally the very next day. She re-assured us there was no pressure to buy and cars and deals will always come and go, but based on this good price she found with her trusted toyota contact, we couldnt pass it up. We didn't mind driving to Orange County to pick up the car, and we were in and out of the dealership within an hour to finish the loan paperwork and inspect the car. Andrea also has contacts for trade ins so I would highly recommend her for your car buying needs and well worth her fee. Thanks again!
