Very unprofessional. My little sister (24) and I (28) went in to look at their model Y. It was our first time at Brea mall; we didn't know Tesla showroom was inside. Since my sister has been wanting to see what a Tesla looks inside, we figured why not. My sister told them that she wasn't looking to purchase now but will be in 2022. She entered her information and checked in on the iPad. We followed the salesman to the model Y who helped adjust the seatings for us before we entered the car then left us. Maybe 10 minutes later, he finally came back and he asked if we had any questions. My sister said "Yes, can you show us the features?" He said, "Oh yeah, there are games if you guys want to play" and proceeded to touch the screen to take us to the entertainment section. Then left us again. My sister didn't realize he insulted us and treated us like kids. Or maybe he didn't want to help us because he wasn't going to make a sale with us. We paid a visit in November 2016. The BF planned to purchase a Tesla sometime soon, within 4 months and had some inquires. We also called to schedule a test drive, but it was full. Next, we discussed our timeline of purchasing either at year end or early 2017. Not sure if it's because we looked young, or the sales manager deals with a lot of the same questions (it's your job, bro) but he was pretty dismissive of my boyfriend. Told us to talk to him when the time came closer and gave us his business card. Honestly, I didn't think too much of this. Figured "he probably deals with a ton of these questions with non-serious buyers" (again, he's a Tesla salesman, it comes with the territory...) BUT we went to another Tesla store in Century City and the service we received was 10 FOLDS BETTER. Which prompted me to leave a review. Century City Experience: -We just walked in and he was able to squeeze us in for a test drive. -super personable, excited about the product and very knowledgeable -talked about the same timeline and did not brush us off. Proceeded to help us customize the car online so that we can revisit in the future. -Helped us explore financing options, which revealed very helpful information (e.g. taxes) WHICH IS INFORMATION WE WOULD WANT TO KNOW FROM THE FIRST VISIT IN BREA....CONSIDERING WE'RE A SERIOUS BUYER AND THIS IS NOT A 'SMALL' FINANCIAL COMMITMENT. Secondly, we went to *another* Tesla store in woodland hills to officially place an order and let my dad test-drive. They double booked a test-drive just for us. This review is for Steven Lopez. From start to finish the Tesla experience is really something different, in the best way possible. Steven was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Took us out on to test drive a model 3 and answered every question we had. In the end I ultimately decided to wait for the Y to come out and later realized since I had to go on the wait list, Steven actually wouldn't get the sale. Felt awful about that, because he really made our experience at Tesla. What I appreciated about him the most was his response when I was shocked to find that he wouldn't get credit for this sale, which was not to worry about him and to get what I really wanted. Purchased Tesla Y from this store, had the unfortunate experience of having Adil as our salesman.... how no one has fired him is truly mystifying. Promised delivery at latest 8 weeks. They've since moved delivery back 5 times, pushed back 3 more months. Incompetent advisor can't (won't) return email. We are about to cancel our order. If this is the service from Tesla BEFORE the car even gets here, can only imagine after. It's too bad, I really wanted this car. Mr. Musk, your cars used to sell themselves. Now, you got competition coming out. Hold your salesmen accountable for representing your product ethically and with basic customer service skills. They are ruining your reputation. You have just lost another customer and my entire family who was waiting to see how our process went before buying their Tesla's. I'll go back to Mercedes, thank you. This is my worse experience and choice on selecting a Tesla Model 3. Back in early this year in February someone did hit and run on my left side mirror. Considerably it's a small damage simply by replacing the mirror only, we called Tesla and was told they can order the part and have it replace in no time. Guess what, it is now May after 3 months, the left side mirror part is still not in yet. We called almost every week asking when can we get the side mirror replaced. Rudely, the last time I call the customer service and I was told to stop calling them because they will call me when the part actually arrives. So now I am stuck with a car that I can't really drive with barely 2k miles. Anyways, think twice before you get a Tesla, their service department is completely useless when you actually need support. read more

Walked through today with my aunt around noon. I came back later with my daughter. We were just window shopping while waiting for my laptop. The employees that work here are all amazing. They greeted us with a smile, showed us the inside of their cars and answered all our questions. Everyone we encountered did it with a smile and said by to us. We first visited Tesla at Brea mall for a test drive in October of last year. Being automotive enthusiasts, we were merely interested in all the technology offered, and were skeptical of its performance claims. We weren't quite sure what to expect during the appointment, fortunately, it was Ray's first day, so he was very detailed, patient, and not all at pushy. After test driving the 85 model, we were impressed, but not ready to plunk $100k+ down on a fairly new technology, so we resolved to wait for the Model 3. Fast forward to June of this year, we resumed car shopping and had almost purchased a Maserati Ghibli ($599 lease special) when we suddenly realized.. Hey! Why not a model S? After punching some quick numbers, it all made sense. We average $500 a month on gas, so essentially driving a Tesla would cost the same as a fairly efficient BMW 535 (lease + gas), and even less than a not-so-efficient Ghibli. We returned to the store and was greeted by the store manager Kimi (how is she so bubbly and cheery all the time?) who assisted us in selecting an inventory car, because I just can't wait 3 months. We returned the next day to test drive the new 70D with Ray, who was just as friendly and helpful as the first day we met him, amazing! In a week's time, we were sent to the Costa Mesa delivery center to pick up our MS. It's been a week since we brought Buzz home (that's his name), and we couldn't be happier. The entire purchasing process was streamlined and painless, unlike conventional car buying where you had wait hours sometimes for the finance department to put their paperwork together. The delivery process was impressive, all the paperwork took less than 5 minutes. Throughout the process and even after, Ray kept in close contact via phone and text to make sure we had all the information we need, even on his off days. If you're looking for a Tesla, go see Ray. He's not pushy at all, and will answer all your questions patiently with a big smile. Even if you're just looking for a test drive, ask for Ray! Now on to the performance... The 70D drives even better than the 85 we test drove previously, partly due to the dual motors. The acceleration is absolutely incredible, and handles I would say even better than a 535/550 with sport pkg. The MS trumps the Ghibli in terms of performance. Worst customer service ever... Musk is a crook... I put a reservation for the anticipated Model 3 more than 2 years ago for a $1,000. They claimed it would be moderately priced in the $30k range. Not even close to that price. Plus, it's been almost 3 years. Tesla promised that you can get a refund anytime. That is a lie. They make it impossible to get your refund. I've canceled the reservation 4-5 months ago. I got no confirmation. Then I called few weeks later. I got the run around and disconnected. A couple weeks later I get a confirmation that my order was canceled and I would see a refund within 30-60 days. I has been nearly 3 months and no refund. They are used car salesman service level. No way to get ahold of any service rep... then they hang up on you. They have had my money for nearly 3 years... They had no problem charging my card of day 1 for they $1,000, but the refund takes 5 months or more. This is ridiculous!!! If I'm ever in the E-car market in the future, I will NEVER buy a Telsa. read more

Absolutely horrible test driving experience at Brea Tesla, please fire Jisup Park. Went into the store and had a couple questions about the car and what was new for the 2023 model of the y. He didn't really know anything about it and I was pretty much the one that told him what was new. I asked if they had the 2023 model y performance available for test drive and he tells me all the model ys they have are the new 2023 version. Upon going into the car and looking at the trim that was determined to be a lie. I also looked at all the other cars they had and none of them were the new model because they had the old door trims and still had the USS sensors. One of the big reasons I wanted to test the new one was for the new comfort suspension. I asked about the test driving experience and was told I would only be given 5-10 minutes to drive the actual car. I told him the website said I would be given at least 30 minutes to drive the car. He then made up some lame excuse that the "whole experience" was for 30 minutes and that the actual driving would be less than that. I asked if I was able to test FSD or enhanced autopilot. He told me I would not be allowed to even test the regular autopilot. What was the point of me coming to test drive the vehicle then? Those are the features that make a tesla what it is.... I also inquired if I could take it on the highway to see what the acceleration is all about and he again told me that wasn't allowed. At this point I felt like I had driven 40 minutes to come to this location, which is the closest one to me, for no reason at all. I also had my mom and grandma with me to test drive the car. My mom wanted to try driving the car as well so we gave them her license. When we went onto the car he told me we had to be back within 20 minutes, even though we had two people test driving the vehicle. He said we had to take a predetermined route that was 2 minutes away from the location and back, the destination was pretty much 1 stoplight away. How in the hell am I supposed to test out the vehicle like that? Honestly extremely disappointing test driving experience. It was my first time driving a tesla so I was not used to the regenerative braking and so it took me longer to even get used to it to a point where I can fully experience what the car has to offer. Safe to say it will take a lot to convince me to change my mind about tesla. read more

Went to this location yesterday to test drive and get more information on the Tesla. First, they didn't have a single Tesla there to test drive or even look at in the showroom. The place looked like they were moving out. Adil was the sales rep that helped me. At first he seemed nice and somewhat informative. I had a lot of questions since this would be my first EV. As I asked more questions, he grew more annoyed. In the middle of me talking another sales person approached him and said another client was ready for him. I'm assuming an existing client ready to purchase bc he seemed eager to help them instead. He said "ok I'll be there in one sec". From that moment on, he tried to rush me out. After every question I'd ask, he'd respond with an attitude "is that all the questions you have?" After every single one! I grew extremely uncomfortable about purchasing a Tesla and ultimately walked out without having all my questions answered. I have never felt like that at any other dealer/car buying experience. After reading reviews, I don't think I'll go back to this location. And after reading reviews of other locations, it seems this is a common trend. Now I'm debating if I want the car at all after reading some of peoples customer service experience after getting the car. read more

I need to break my review into 2 parts: my experience at showroom and my test drive experience. Showroom - 1 star. I was running behind for my appointment when I rushed into the store; only one coordinator was there and a few groups were surrounding her already. She wasn't helping anyone to check-in but kinda showing them around; so I approached her and let her know that I was here for test drive. She attended me immediately and asked for my ID; we went through the process smoothly. She told me that I needed to wait for my salesperson as they were totally slammed by all those people who want to test drive after Model 3 announcement. I walked around the showroom and a woman scolded at me said that I cut her in line with the F word; I was shocked and I kindly told her that you could have told me when I was checking in and I won't insist to be in front of her, instead she chose the worst possible way to handle the situation. I know this is not something Tesla or the coordinator at scene can be responsible for; however, I hope Tesla can place enough staffs on busy weekends so my story won't be someone else story too. Also, if the attending staff can be more proactive to ask guests if they need assistance; the situation could be avoided. Test drive - 5 stars. You really can't complain when you all driving the most technologically advance car. It was easy to handle even though it was a big car. The first time when you let go of your steering wheel was a bit scary but I was changed in 30-second; now I just can't wait for the auto pilot to be fully utilized, every driver in LA should have one of that. They are pretty communicative and accommodating, even though they're busy assisting many customers on weekend. Delivery of my Model 3 was delayed 3 months, which caused me to miss the Federal tax incentive. The manager, Jaime Nunez, offered a discount on the car to make up for the missed Federal tax incentive. I agreed to that since that seemed like a fair deal. The day before delivery, I was told that the discount was denied, which was a complete bait and switch. I have complained to Tesla corporate about this terrible purchasing experience (waiting, and more waiting, lies, unresponsiveness) and am awaiting resolution on the matter. read more

This is the worst Tesla Location on Planat Earth. Once Space X starts chartering flights to Mars, there is a chance that this Tesla Location can lose its throne of being the worst in the nation. I have been to hundred's of car dealerships and have never seen anything like this. I spent about 15 minutes in the store waiting for someone to help me. I went to the Apple store and came back again waiting for someone to help me for another 15 minutes. The guy was showing some family who was not interested in purchasing a car the Autopilot feature. I know this because the guy said it would be a dream to be able to afford a 100k car in this life. He told the guy hes not buying one anytime soon. Well I can afford one and I wanted to buy one possibly with the Autopilot feature. Tesla talks about how great there customer service is. Have you ever been to Fletcher Jones? They could teach you something. I am going to write a letter to corporate about how bad this location is. I have four friends that bought tesla's. One from this specific location. Went a few times to this location because my husband and I were seriously considering purchasing a Tesla. And after much deliberation decided to bite the bullet as this is a hefty investment of at least 75k to 125k. Having met with Alejandro and being promised free supercharging for life as part of their current promotion for new Tesla purchases in our prior appointment just three days earlier on Thursday evening 10/24/18. We came in today to settle on our purchase only to be told by Christian another salesperson that works with Alejandro (who was also in that day) confirmed upon knowing we wanted to move forward with purchasing that they would no longer honor that promise of free super charging for life and would only give us six months of free supercharging. Additionally from a sales perspective, their marketing is that it is more economically friendly to purchase an electric car but even in a Tesla S' lowest model at around 75k it would cost us around 12 dollars just to fill it up halfway which is around 120 miles. I get 420 miles on my Lexus hybrid Ct200h (which was around 32k upon purchase) on a full tank which generally costs from 20 to 25 dollars at the gas station. Not even taking into consideration supercharging a car full takes almost 30 minutes when filling gas takes ten to 15 min. And we all know time is money. Christian continues to acknowledge that my Lexus is a good car but that my maintenance costs would cost more for my gas car than the Tesla. I have never had any issues with my 2012 Lexus since purchase. Just the usual oil which runs around 45 dollars every six months or so. Based on the cost of supercharging stations buying a Tesla is not more economically friendly whatsoever!The staff didn't honor their promises to us during the sale process but when confirmed purchase changed their conditions. I have to preface and say that this review is strictly based on the car buying experience. So long story short I turned my parents onto this car as opposed to buying another mercedes. We scheduled an appointment via the website and got a response to set up a test drive within 24 hours, which was faster than expected. I had my parents meet me at the mall and I learned that they were driving around in the lot looking for a dealership. A sign at minimum should be displayed outside of the mall because that delayed our test drive by 15 min. When my parents showed up at the 1- car showroom the place was inundated by a bunch of curious shoppers. We were quickly greeted by a gentlemen with an iPad who wanted us to agree to the agreement and provide a valid DL. It just so happened that my pops forgot his DL in the car and so we suggested that we get driven over there to pick it up. The guy wouldn't let it go and kept insisting that we provide the DL and the info on it. It took a little push from my dad to convince this guy that he recalls the DL ID# and expiration date. He eventually digressed and we were on our way out to the test car with Justin. On our way out he came after us and stopped us again to click the agree button on the iPad. We trekked it through the mall, through jc penny's, and finally to the test ride. We took it out for no more than 20-30 min and headed back to the store to close the deal. My pops was already convinced that the car was going to be his so the experience was a minor PITA to deal with. However, it's worth mentioning because I'm sure most would agree that the car-buying experience for a car that's costing $80k+ should be somewhat exclusive and personal. This experience definitely wasn't considering the mob of people in the place taking pictures, wanting to sit in the one show car in the place, and really just crowding you as you're seriously looking into the cars features and contemplating a real purchase. The mercedes experience is far more exclusive and individualized than that of Tesla(they're good at making you feel like the exorbitant money spent was worth it). We still appreciated Justin's objective help because there was no incentive for him to try to sell all sorts of unnecessary optional features of the car. We liked the lax laid-back no BS approach to ordering the car to spec in the small back room. Justin appeared very knowledgable and addressed any of our concerns. Within 1 hour we had taken the test drive and purchased the model S with all of the preferable options via the website. Again, this review is strictly based on the car buying experience in the Brea mall store and NOT the car itself. On a side note, I'll mention that this car is badass. The interior is minimal in terms of small creature comforts such as a rear seat cupholder, adjustable headrests, center console with additional storage, etc. However, the touchscreen control center and the technology tied to it is unparalleled... It's what you'd expect from the real life tony stark Elon Musk. The acceleration is what had my pops hootin during the test drive. My parents were contemplating another E350 but were more than happy to take the Tesla instead considering the net cost(fuel, $10k tax credit, Buyback guarantee)of owning a tesla for 3 years is cheaper than that of the benz even though it costs nearly $30k more. Can't wait for the ride to be delivered in 6-8 weeks! read more

Just one word -- Amazing! Was very surprised to see Tesla at the Brea mall. The storefront is very sleek, modern, and eye-catching, just like the car. They have a white tesla that is available to sit in and "experience." They also have a bare chassis of the car so you can see the innards.
