I've had my car for three years and it turns out that I was only allotted six oil changes during that time. The service counter quoted me $174 for my oil change. Quick Math tells me I was ripped off I paid over $2500 for service that would've cost me $1000... I asked to see my contract and it clearly says five years and nowhere does it say in plain English that you are only allotted six. Looking at the contract, it looks like I had 12 oil changes for five years Obviously these guys are snakes and will tell you anything to sell. I'm mad at myself for falling for this scam, but I'm more mad at them for pushing people to buy stuff that is clearly a rip off. Obviously always read the fine print

What I appreciated most was the fast service; they provided me an uber to work and also picked me up when my vehicle was ready. The overall service was satisfactory, and I left feeling confident that my vehicle was in good hands. The complimentary car wash was nice too! My salesman, Mike, was cool. He never once pressured me to buy a car. if he had said, 'What do I have to do to get you into this car today?" I would have walked out. But he didn't. I've never been in sales, but I do know about that "Always closing" selling technique. I stopped by about 4 times to ask questions about the car when I went to Home Depot or Kohl's on an errand. I first saw the K-5 about 4 years ago and thought it was the best-looking car of the similar cars made by other car makers, but I wasn't looking to buy a new car then. So, when I decided it was time to buy a new car, the K-5 was my first choice. I'm well aware they sell cars across the street. I went home and figured out what I would be willing to pay for the car. I went back; test drove the car and made my offer. Mike took my offer to somebody, I've never figured out who they are, and within 15 minutes, they accepted my offer. I was satisfied with the deal and assume they were too. Then it was on to all the extended warranty stuff. Tino was cool too. He knew I was interested in that and didn't push me. He just did his job. If I didn't think this was going to be a good dependable car, I wouldn't be buying it. At 77 years old, this is may be the last car I buy. But if I do buy another car, My Kia is the first place I'll go.

I booked an appointment online for 12:30 PM and drove about 20 minutes to get there. When I arrived, I checked in at the front and was told to wait in my car because someone would come out to help me. I waited about 18 minutes with no one approaching me, so I had to flag someone down myself. After that, I was told there were 13 cars ahead of me and it would likely take around 4 hours before they could even get to my car. At that point, I was confused and frustrated because I had booked an appointment. They explained that the appointment time was really just a drop-off time, which was not clear when booking online. The whole process felt disorganized, slow, and inattentive. The customer service was poor, and I felt like my time was completely wasted. If appointments are not actual service times, that should be made very clear upfront so customers can plan accordingly. I would not recommend coming here if you expect timely or attentive service.

We got trapped in the dealership for a total of 4 hours, they made us sit in the lobby for over 30 minutes waiting for nothing before any paperwork showed up. Something that should have prepared while we were making our way over. After telling us how much they appreciate the service of our military members, they then let us know that they will not accept checks from Navy Federal Credit Union. We were forced to go with one of their lenders, even though I already had the check in-hand. That would have been nice to know before I already spent an hour in-store! So I had to take an extra hit on my Credit when really I should have just walked out. Luckily my credit score is high enough to take it. We sat for an hour waiting for them to find a loan for us, and we got a lot of rejection letters only because we ALREADY HAD THE DANG CHECK FROM MY BANK so of course new lenders aren't going to want to accept to give a second loan to someone! Whatever, we had already been there for so long, I was not leaving without this car at this point. We then sat there for another 90 minutes while they "finished the paperwork..." but didn't give us any idea of how long that would take so we could have used that time to do something other than sit there and do nothing! (This is hour 3 of trying to entertain our kiddo while we wait by the way). After that 90 minutes we went into some other guy's office and re-hashed all of the information from the past few hours all from scratch. It should have been an email or that other guy should have been present the whole time! He was just walking around the store we saw him several times just strolling! At the end of the transaction when everything finally went through, Walid, the salesman, said we would have to wait another 30 minutes for the car to be detailed. WHY in the last 4 hours was the car was not cleaned?!?!?!? Crazy. After we walked out we discovered that one of the two keys had a dead battery. I asked Walid if he could help get us a new key battery and he said he would "look into it." Fine. I waited a month and then emailed him about it, and he replied over two weeks later saying that he would ask the parts department if they had a key battery for us. It has now been six months and we haven't heard from Walid or BMW at all! All of their claims about caring about their customers are false. They got their money and now they have no interest in continuing to provide service, even after they say they will.

Before making the trip, I specifically asked the sales representative to inspect the car and disclose any issues so I wouldn't drive that far unnecessarily. I was told the only noticeable issue was a small scratch on the cupholder lid, so I proceeded with the visit. When I arrived, I noticed a few scratches on the trunk and two on the driver's door, one of which was several inches long. While not ideal, I understood the car is used and wasn't overly concerned. I was irked these weren't disclosed, but was still being realistic. What did concern me was discovering two visible rock chips in the windshield directly in the driver's line of sight -- a safety and visibility issue that should not exist on a certified vehicle. I took photos at the dealership because the damage was obvious. Again, these were not disclosed to me before my almost 2 hour drive. (Pictures attached) Despite raising this, no offer was made to repair or replace the windshield and no alternative path forward was provided, so I ultimately walked away despite strong interest in the car. The sales representative even mentioned the car was "probably going to auction anyway," which made it feel as though there was little interest in actually selling the vehicle to me. When I asked to escalate the issue, I was told the General Manager "wouldn't take a phone call on this." I was then assured the Used Car Manager would contact me, but no one ever did. I followed up by email myself and received no response. Between the CPO issue, the credit inquiry, and the complete lack of follow-up, the experience felt dismissive and unprofessional. If this is how BMW Monterey handles concerns before a sale, it raises serious concerns about how issues would be handled after one. I expected better from a BMW dealership.

I heard back from Bill the following week, and he was able to get me one of their first allocations for the 2026's. A few days later, we spec'd the truck and my order was in for an October delivery. No haggling on price or dealer markup on the truck. I called Bill about a month before delivery to make sure we were still on schedule. He made me aware of the issues JLR was having with a cyber incident. My truck was already waiting at the port in So Cal but would still be ready for delivery in October. Bill was also able to offer me a very good price on my Rivian for trade-in, which was fantastic. My truck arrived at the dealer 2 days before the scheduled delivery date in October. The delivery experience was awesome. Bill was very thorough, walking me through the infotainment and car features. They also put in the all-weather floor mats that I had ordered with the car. Regina was terrific, walking me through all the paperwork and helping with a wheel & tire package along with scheduled maintenance.
