I've had my Tesla for about three weeks now, and I absolutely love it! The Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature (under supervision) works amazingly well--whether I'm navigating the busy streets of Manhattan and Queens or cruising down highways like I-95, the Sprain Brook Parkway, or the Saw Mill Parkway. It handles about 99% of the driving, which really takes the mental stress out of my daily commute. Honestly, it feels like having a professional personal driver--for life--for just $8,000! I also love the Summon feature, especially the "Come to Me" function. It's super handy when my car's in a tight or tricky parking spot. And Sentry Mode gives me peace of mind by recording its surroundings when I'm away. It's little things like these that make a big difference. Huge shoutout to the Tesla service department, too. Anytime I've had a technical question, they've been quick to respond, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. Their support has been fantastic. Thank you to the entire Tesla team! DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH THIS LOCATION. Ordered a 2026 Model Y on 4/7/2026. Said my max down payment was $1,500. Tesla came back demanding $14,124.39 -- over 9x what I said. 13.21% APR. 72 months. $76,147 total for a $54K car. They blamed Santander Bank for the terms. I called Santander. Santander has ZERO record of me. No application, no account, no loan. Nothing. Meanwhile Tesla's own contract says Tesla Motors New York LLC is the Seller-Creditor. Not Santander. Tesla set these terms themselves and lied about it. My husband applied as a co-buyer -- adding a second income and credit history changed absolutely nothing. Same $14,124.39 to the penny. Then Tesla said I need to accept the terms FIRST to negotiate. The contract has a NO COOLING OFF PERIOD clause and says no oral changes are binding. Classic bait-and-switch. They also demanded the $14K through the Tesla app before I signed anything. Tesla's own contract literally says the APR is negotiable with the Seller. So they control the terms but tell you a bank controls them. I've filed complaints with the CFPB, NY Attorney General, FTC, and NY DFS. This Tesla location is a dealer with a showroom and service center. They have a parking lot but I think it's just for dropping off and picking up vehicles that were in service. This is also where people pick up their vehicles after purchasing one. There were some parking on street, which I believe is metered. We had to drop our vehicle for service to replace a malfunctioning computer. Communication and making an appointment was done all through the Tesla app. It took about a month to get an appointment; they had to get the parts in. They were able to send a temporary on air software patch to fix our vehicle, in the meantime. On the appointment day, dropping off was easy. The communication and customer service was spot on; they were friendly, responsive, and prompt. They also provided us a loaner vehicle. We were able to pick up our vehicle two days later; picking up was easy. The whole process was seamless and we had a good experience. read more

Went for a ride, that is an hour long, with a friend who had a 9:30 appointment, to have routine service. We were there early. Over FOUR hours later, they decided to give him a loaner. I took photos of some minor damages on the loaner; just in case. Because NOTHING was done. WELL, at least the staff in the back had lunch. Smelled good! We were offered a small bag of Pop Corners, insipid chips. Exceptionally poor customer relations. In the past 6 years it's rare to see the same people AND it's always the same: terrible customer service and a garage that seems perpetually overwhelmed! If they know this; just give their customer a loaner and let them get something done with the rest of their day. Edit- after leaving a review they fraudulently charged my credit card in retaliation. Go anywhere else. I was excited to buy my first Tesla. Online ordering was seamless. Then my order got handed off to Mt. Kisco, and the experience fell apart. Despite my trade-in being legally titled in my name, Mt. Kisco insisted on extra documentation, citing "prior bad actors." I had a New York Statutory Short Form Power of Attorney drafted and executed to meet their demands. Tesla corporate even stepped in to help. Then I got a call from Jasmine. I recorded it. She was hostile from the moment I answered. When I asked her to hold briefly because I was with a client, she audibly exhaled in frustration. She later accused me of "screaming," though the recording shows she was the only one raising her voice. When I asked a simple question, whether they would accept a NY Statutory Short Form POA, she told me I was using "legal jargon" and "too many words" for her staff. When I asked if this was the training she had received in dealing with customers, she said, "yes, you talked long enough. people are staring at me from my office." I suggested she lower her voice and cancelled the order. I wanted a Tesla. I was ready to buy. The staff at this location, Jasmine in particular, pushed me away from the brand entirely. As great as the car is the customer service is very mediocre. Picked up a model Y on Nov 10, 2023. They respected my appointment time but the car took forever to get. Once the car was ready it felt like a very rushed experience. No customer help with setting up app or all the great things the car has to offer. Had to find this out by chance. It's Christmas Eve and I just drove away with a new Model 3. While the cars remain objectively amazing, for some the Tesla "experience" (purchasing) is often not a positive one. But it very much was so for me. I selected and reserved the car desired on the 16th, making the deposit using an app. The car was built but "in transit" to the delivery center in Mt Kisco. At time of deposit a rep named Jermaine called me directly and went over all the details of my order what my requirements and expectations were and indicated that car would likely be delivered with days. I told him of my desire to have this by Christmas Eve to present as a gift, and he said he thought that would be fantastic and would check on delivery. The car took a few more days than I thought, but my nerves were settled when DJ from the Mt Kisco operations team called me and confirmed the car had arrived and I would literally be able to pick up on Sunday, Christmas Eve. I arrived for my 11am appointment and was welcomed, Britt handled any final paperwork and Cooper went out of his way to make sure the car was charged up, linked up, and completely good to go. Even put a nice bow on the hood for a Christmas picture. One of the biggest purchases I've ever made and glad for a great experience with good people. read more

Had to wait several weeks for an appointment for service. Tesla allowed me to drop the car off the evening before, and asked that I send them a photo of the car in the spot. I did exactly as they instructed and then they did not even look at the car on the day of the appointment. Did not complete until the following afternoon, was a simple thing, new key fob. Should have taken under 15 minutes and they took two full days. They deserve zero stars. read more

Pick up of our Model 3 in August, experience went well here. They were busy. Had to wait approximately an hour to complete purchase process and take delivery. Would recommend improvement in status update while waiting, yet not a major issue, I've had to wait to complete and take delivery of ICE vehicles in the past. Staff delivering vehicles were friendly and busy. The purchase process is extremely app driven. Thus you deal with many different people in the overall process, this adds to the feeling of and comments here of chaos I believe. Fun car to drive. Car great thus far. read more

Service manager (not Sal, the other one) gets caught in lies every time he opens his mouth and doesn't really understand the car or how it is supposed to work. While everyone that tried to assist me was very pleasant and personable, I was very dissatisfied by the extensive wait to take delivery of my vehicle. I had to wait over 2 hours after my scheduled pick up time and when my vehicle did finally arrive, my battery was charged to only 70% when I was previously told I'd have a battery charged to 90%. In addition, I received text messages days ago requesting another check when I already submitted a check to cover the full purchase of the vehicle. I believe there are lapses in communication due to some of the employees being overwhelmed. Everyone I encountered working for Tesla had been very pleasant during my delivery however they were all noticeably overwhelmed trying to service all of the customers that were there. Would give negative stars if I could! They are very dishonest and shady! I had ordered a model 3 and my friend drove 2 hours to pick it up. Well, I was told that they won't honor CT rebate since I didn't have CT license despite providing CT car registration for my current vehicle as proof of residency (something that I was told would make me eligible for rebate by CHEAPR). After constant back and forth, they insisted that Tesla goes by their own rules and that they will not apply the rebate. Thus, I wasted all in all over 5 hours for nothing! Will never get a Tesla after my horrible experience. I would not recommend this dealership but I am not sure if other Tesla dealerships are any better. Throughout the entire process, the staff at Mount Kisco was rude, uncaring, and entitled. They acted like they were doing us a huge favor selling us this car. We waited 9 months for this car, and then we're told we have 4 hours to pick a delivery time during Thanksgiving, or it will go to the next person in line. Our car finally arrived 3 days ago and it was delivered without plates or registration. They didn't realize their error until we pointed it out. They said they'd overnight the plates and registration and the tracking says they haven't even brought the item for shipment yet. No apology or communication. I'm so glad that Tesla finally has some real competition so that they'll be forced to make some changes. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE PICKING UP A NEW CAR EVER. I arrived for my reservation and my vehicle was sitting right outside. However, I noticed that the rear bumper had several deep scratches on it that were through the clear coat. My delivery rep offered to fix this issue by replacing the bumper on this BRAND NEW car with another bumper. I reluctantly agreed. About 2 hours later the rep comes out and tells me that the service department scratched the rear quarter panel with screws while trying to remove the scratched bumper and therefore the car is no longer in the condition to be delivered to me. However, he offered to look for another vehicle of the same model. After another 30 minutes, he comes back and tells me he can get me the exact same care from their inventory (if he had another new vehicle in inventory THIS ENTIRE TIME, why did he not just offer this from the start instead of making me wait 2 hours for the service department to try and take the bumper off a BRAND NEW CAR??). He explained that it will be another hour wait since it needs to be detailed and new paper work needs to be written. One hour later, the new vehicle arrives. As I'm inspecting it I notice there are a couple of chips on the door. At this point I just wanted to go home and they weren't that bad so I asked if he could just throw in some touch up paint so I can fix them at home. He told me management refused to include touch up paint but I could order it online and they will refund it (why could they just not give it to me there?). While waiting another half hour for paperwork, I am trying every thing out in the vehicle when I realize something is broken with the drivers side door release button. It requires you to press down VERY hard to get the door to unlock from the inside. After telling my rep about this he told me no worries and that I can just schedule mobile service once I get home. Well, I just went to schedule this through the app and it is telling me that I need to drive to the Service Center, even though my rep ENSURED me that it was an easy fix and that mobile service could do it in my driveway. So over 4.5 hours of wait time and two brand new cars later I STILL don't have a fully working car with no issues. This was by the worst experience I've ever had buying a car. read more

It is currently almost 5 PM and I still don't have a car yet after taking the train from upstate New York to come down here to pick up the car. Long story short, Tesla has a glitch apparently in the website ordering. This was confirmed by a Tesla rep I spoke with today. If you try to use the referral link to get the benefit of 3 mo full self-driving and 6 mo supercharging, it might not apply. In my case, I found out just hours before driving 2 hours to pick up a new Model Y. The only solution Tesla has for this glitch is to have you cancel the order (and they say 'breach' your purchase contract), lose your $250 purchase order charge, pay another $250 and place another order. This is the only solution possible they say. I worked my way up to Tesla corporate after 2 hours of nonsense and this is what a Tesla lawyer told me - losing $250 was my fault because I breached the purchase contract by canceling the order after learning they would not honor the referral benefits. read more

Avoid Mount Kisco pickup at all costs! During my pickup experience the following occurred. I was told the glass was broken on the Tesla, and I could not pick up on my delivery date. I had already traveled over 2 hours for pickup and was less than 30 min away from my pickup time. I ended up waiting for almost 4+hours to receive my car. I believe it was never inspected or looked at until that morning. I have emailed and called beyond numerous times with zero calls answered or emails. One time they states that the manager would call me the next day, and guess what....NO CALL. NO phone pickup, and NO email responses. If they had inspected my car as they stated 5 days prior to pick up, then the following would not. have occurred. 1. I was presented my car on the service bay ramp, where I was left to fill out paperwork in the car.  I don't think this is the best way to present a purchase to a customer (sitting on a ramp, at an incline) while all your other deliveries are having their car presented to them in an appropriate fashion.   2. I reviewed the car exterior and noted that there were several red spots throughout the right passenger side paint.  I was told by Monique and the service person from the bay that this is sometimes "rust" that develops under the paint.  He then proceeded to tell me he could correct it on a follow up service visit (I am from Massachusetts), and that he would remember me "the tattooed guy".  This prompted me to take the car to a body shop, where they informed me this was not rust, but required a heavy detailing as it was spores from the vehicle being parked near red mulch.  I inquired about water and moisture in the left driver tail light, and was told this is normal.  2 weeks later the water and moisture remained, and had to have it replaced by mobile service. 3. The entire inside of my Tesla was covered in dust, and dog hair. I don't mean a small amount, I mean a ton of dog hair, and it was and is apparent that an animal was in the back seat of this car and in the trunk, as their is also animal nail marks along the window.  The windows were dirty, center console, and the carpets. This ended up costing me $250 in detailing for a nearly 60K car, that I received dirty as hell. 4.  The Tesla was never reset to factory.  The vehicle still had all the previous users keys programed in, as well as all of their contact info, and easy entry settings.  The software was also not updated on the vehicle. 5. I was informed that once the glass was replaced the self driving and auto steer would be disabled as their would be an alignment process once glass is replaced, but this never happened, as I was able to use all of the features home. I attempted to follow up on this, and have yet to be able to reach a response from Mt. Kisco (did this need to be done, and does it still need to be done?). 6.  I filled out the CT CHEAPR rebate paperwork, and when I asked why I was signing away the rights to this rebate to Mt. Kisco, I was told that I would be sent the check.  CT tells me that my vehicle is not eligible as a used Tesla, and I am wondering why I filled this paperwork out, and why no one had an answer that was adequate to why I was signing the rights to the reimbursement to the dealership, when I had not received a rebate discount on my vehicle? suspicious. According to customer service at the local level and California, they have notified the Mt. Kisco office on 3 separate occasions of the above, and to reach out to me in regards to the pickup experience and interior detailing issue.  I have yet to receive a call, email or follow up.  I would appreciate a call at 860-985-309 I love the car, but its apparent that customer service and satisfaction is at the bottom of the barrel. We went to Mt. Kisco to take delivery of our 3rd Tesla. We really liked the cars, but we continue to be let down by the overall experience of buying and owning a Tesla. My first experience was in 2020, at the start of the COVID "pandemic". They were transitioning their delivery process to touchless. For our delivery All went well... the car was generally fine with no major flaws or issues. Fast forward to the end of 2022 and we take delivery of our 2023 Model Y. The car was not cleaned or detailed in any way. The only reason the interior is clean is because it brand new. We were disappointed at the condition of the car that they present to you. Although they claim it's "detailed", I think they're idea of detailing is to remove most of the shipping film... though not all of it. There is no washing or waxing, no glass cleaning... nothing. So we take the car, and it seemed fine. Unfortunately we discovered a manufacturing flaw that allowed the passenger rear floor to buckle when presented with any weight... putting your feet on the floor made it sound like a "popamatic" from a 1960's board game. Great... but not Mt. Kisco's fault. We took it to the Milford service center (another review coming for Milford's "lack of service" team) and they tell us it's normal and not covered by warranty. After much confrontational back and forth we have gotten the repair covered by warranty... but not willingly on the part of Tesla's service representative. Fortunately 2 other folks there compelled him to cease the rude and combative attitude. Imagine paying over $60k for a car, and the service representative would not even look at the car to witness the problem... "I am too busy, I don't have time for this"... wait, isn't this what you get paid to do??? So we are still overall enjoying our 2 new Teslas and decide to replace the 2020 with another new 2023 Model Y. We arrive for our delivery and are presented with the car we ordered... a pretty loaded model Y. It was covered in dirt and dust, had mud in the wheel wells, and was overall a disappointing sight to see. It clearly had been sitting in a storage lot, and had not been even washed before it was presented to us. Of lessor note, a seatback panel also had a gouge or scrape taken out of it. BUT wait, there's more... 3 significant paint scratches, and 1 spraying flaw. I'm told they'll have to re-spray the passenger side rear door and rear quarter panel to fix it. Nope... this is it. We've had it... presenting a new car in this state is inexcusable for any brand, let alone one that is at a more premium price point. We're done with this process. Simply put, Tesla needs to up it's game if it intends to stay in business for the long term. This review pains me because overall the cars are a pleasure to drive, however their sales and service model need a dramatic improvement. For now anyway, we are done with them. read more

I just left tesla today after getting my new model y delivered after a few months wait. I was concerned with the negative reviews that it would be a issue after driving 2 hours to get to the place. NOTHING at all to worry about. I was in and out with my transferred plates installed in 30 minutes. I walked into building, gave them cashiers check for balance due, signed a few papers while sitting in new car, got some helpful advice and was on my way. I can't believe how misleading this place is and the lack of Tesla customer service to help when the sales place messes you over. Be aware to pick your sales location carefully and for sure don't chose Mt Kisko especially a person named Dylan. I purchased a new car and traded in a car with free lifetime charging. I was entitled to a 5k dollar credit. However Dylan admitted that when I ordered a new car before Covid and they decided to change from a regular steering wheel to a yoke . Tesla allowed me to transfer my reservation to a friend. Instead of just transferring the reservation Telsa erroneously transferred my existing car andthe reservation to my friend. Tesla claims when I agreed to transfer my car back to me it constituted an ownership transfer and I lose my free charging eventhough I still wasn't charged. Dylan claims Tesla has no way of fixing the error. Can you believe the most technological car company in the world can't fix an error! To make it up to me Dylan told me Tesla would give me 3 years free charging on my new car. Week later pull up to a Tesla charging station and get billed for it. Called Tesla and said I have to deal with local sales team. But Dylan is a liar.....response....nothing I can do. I am absolutely shocked at the blatant disregard of their customer's satisfaction with the buying and owning process. Bought the car online as no dealers are in my state, believe it or not I had a few questions along the way. Email communication net about a 25% Tesla reply rate. Of those replies approximately 50% of my questions would be answered averaging about 2 questions in an email. Couldn't bulk email as I would either think of a new question or have a follow up to their vague answer. Attempted text, while reply rate was better at approx 50% usually the response had nothing to do with my question. When calling the number provided over text the sales associate told me "either buy it or don't". Preemptively ordered a charging adapter- So I could charge my car(important right?). Was informed it would arrive on X date which was 2 days after I was expected to take delivery. Day before I went to take delivery checked the status and the shipper had yet to receive the item. I contacted service 3 times to either expedite or cancel. You guessed it, 0% reply rate. The item arrived a week later. Fortunately Tesla had one in stock at my pick up location. I only had to wait in the service line for an hour. Fortunately my delivery appointment was well behind schedule so I only needed to wait another hour. Now I have two.... Finally the rep refused to fill dealership rebate paperwork out for me and told me he would email the paperwork. I called the state rebate program who informed me the dealership was aware and had to complete it. I have been attempting to resolve this at about a 10% reply rate. I'll be calling. It is likely I will miss the rebate window and this will end up in small claims. The car itself. Holy hell it's awesome. Impressed by something new everyday. The customer service itself though leaves much to be desired. I'm beginning to regret the decision due to lack of support. Tldr: car is sweet. The entire experience of the new buying process was extremely disappointing. This dealership is the sole option for picking up vehicles purchased outside of New York City, leading to excessive volume and delayed car deliveries. Unfortunately, none of this information was disclosed when we initially purchased the vehicle. We had already placed a non-refundable deposit for financing options without being informed about the potential delays. In addition it is impossible to actually speak to anyone at the location if you have questions. The customer service rep I was assigned had very few answers and kept saying I was in FL when I told him multiple times I was in NY. I would have paid for delivery to my home if possible, but was told after that it would months before I could get delivery. Furthermore, Tesla offered 3,000 less than my trade in was worth so I had to sell to carvana 2 hrs from the dealer which again complicated the situation. As the purchase progressed, we learned that the vehicle could only be picked up from the Mount Kisco dealership, creating complications due to our five-hour distance from the dealership. Upon arrival, we faced a two hour wait because our car, which had been there for over a week, hadn't undergone inspection. Despite these issues, there were no efforts to expedite the process. When discussing the matter with the manager, the response was dismissive, advising against souring our own experience. This is apparently a common problem as everyone there was delayed. And the response given was that "we are a busy dealership we deliver about 80 cars a day". No apologies or reason for the delay leading me to believe they don't understand the operations to their business. They need to limit the amount of appointments per day to what they can handle, or at the very least update the expectation from "express" pick up, to 2 hour pick up. We had to extend our child care due to the delays. While I have a genuine appreciation for Teslas, the challenges in the buying process made this the worst new car purchase I have ever had (we have purchased 6 new vehicles). Until transparency in the delivery process is established I would not recommend buying from Tesla. read more

The cars are beautiful, when they work, but the business practices are deplorable. My wife and I purchased a 2018 Model X from Tesla in 2018. The car arrived long behind schedule, and spent ~ 30 days in the shop in the first several months of ownership, as they attempted to troubleshoot the falcon doors, which would not close due to alignment issues. They were right up against, and I think beyond the lemon law, but we decided to keep the car, and were smooth sailing for some time. Earlier this year, the battery heater failed, which led to my wife driving a new Model 3 for a week, and deciding she wanted to trade in the X for something more sporty. She went into the dealer, and, after some prodding, managed to get them to estimate a $65k trade in value for the X - this was tremendously low, in my opinion, but as she'd been bumped from behind in the 2nd year of ownership (which they told us was factored into the estimate), we begrudgingly agreed to move forward, placed an order for 3, and gave them a $250 deposit. 48 hours later, after collecting $250, Tesla lowers the trade in offer to $49k... that isn't a market adjustment.... it isn't a revision from mileage (captured in the initial estimate)... and as they say... "it isn't negotiable." What is certainly is - Dishonest. I've subsequently learned that Tesla has a fun habit of lowballing the majority of their trade ins. It's perfectly reasonable to say, 'we don't focus on trade-ins,' or 'don't want to be in that business,' but its absurd to collect $250 for that car, drop the value by $15k, and refuse to refund the deposit (made 48 hours earlier). And any consumer choosing to buy a car from Tesla in a state that allows a trade-in sales tax exemption, should do so knowing they won't have any shot at getting a reasonable trade-in offer. Put differently... we $9k in sales tax on the X. If Tesla doesn't offer remotely competitive trade-ins, there's no ability for me recapture that tax, buying a new car from them (if you sell privately, or to another dealer in a separate transaction, the 'trade-in,' is not deductible). Short sighted. Deceptive. Beautiful engineering notwithstanding, will never give them another dollar for a new car. read more
