I had my pickup delivery schedule for my new Tesla at the Riverside Dealership last week. I was hoping for a closer location to where I live, but I had a good experience at the Tesla in Riverside. Once my husband and I walked in, they greeted us immediately, and the guy was professional, asking me for all the necessary information and providing us with bottled water. The dealership inside was spacious and clean. I forgot the girl's name to walk us through the vehicle. She seemed to lack experience and only answered our questions when we had questions to ask her. My husband also has a Tesla; however, the interior has a lot of changes, and she should have guided us thoroughly. First of all shout out to our team. There was Brooke, Jay, Devin, and Dana. Every last person was involved and helped the process go smoothly. The Tesla car buying experience is like no other. You can test drive for 30 minutes un unsupervised. Once you get back there is no pressure. They tell you how to reserve your car and then you're on your way. They will follow up in a couple of days to see if you have any questions. You download the Tesla app and this is how you are communicated with. Your appointment is set to pick up your car all your financing options have been chosen and your set. Pick up day you inspect your car hand over your check if you have your own financing and your off. The whole ordeal about 20 minutes if it's not crowded. Came in for an issue with the battery. Super smooth at first, Ruben was very helpful. Communication was great with him HOWEVER, communication was then coming from someone else, Efren. He was extremely unhelpful, did not respond or update with any messages. They said my car was ready for picky pick up, and when I did, it had 55 miles on it. I've purchased three Teslas in my life , and I've never had issues like this at any other location. Unfortunately, this dealership has been a completely different experience from start to finish. There have been constant delays with my Cybertruck delivery, and what's most frustrating is that many of these issues could have been avoided with proper inspection before releasing the vehicle. Within five minutes of driving off the lot, I had to bring the vehicle right back due to problems that should have been caught ahead of time. On top of that, the lack of communication has been disappointing. I've been told different things by different staff members, making the entire process confusing and frustrating. There seems to be no clear coordination or accountability. I will say that Liz and the manager did try their best to help and were pleasant to work with -- that was really the only positive part of my experience. Which is why it's 2 stars and not 1 star. We went in for a windshield replacement and we chose tesla to do it so we do not have any autopilot issues(paid $1500+). After installation the top molding was not seated properly against the glass which i had to adjust the clip and fix myself and secondly and most importantly the autopilot was not working properly driving left until it hits the curb. Error message was relating to front camera pitch issue (cam improperly mounted) Called tesla back and explained and the female advisor immediately resulted to our cameras cold be dirty and its because of the rain but did not really analyze the situation and obvious start of the issue and error messages immediately after windshield installation and there was no rain, if its dirty its left dirty from the installation. I then spoke to another manager which was much nicer and knowledgeable stating i needed a pitch validation and it will be free of cost and scheduled me a appt. My wife brought the vehicle in and got a loaner, she was not made aware of a diagnostic fee of $260, the next day i received a call that they did not find any issues the issue is the rear view cabin cam and the cost will be $600+ and called and explained that camera is fine and only has error codes because i block it off everytime when i use autosteer and that issue really has nothing to do the vehicle steering off the road in FSD. I arrived at the service desk and was explained that she informed my wife of the diag fee which my wife said she did not and i explained that the camera is not bad its just from me blocking it and she reduced it to a $260 diag fee, i paid it because i just wanted to see if the issue was fixed or not and had to pay otherwise i could not access my vehicle. For some reason, the vehicle situation has been fixed and now I no longer receive codes so they must have done some type of pitch validation or camera movement that fixed it, but did not advise me on what they did instead just told me the rear camera is bad so they had something to charge me on the diagnostic fee. I am very unhappy on the service situation as I do love this company. It is such a good company, but this service experience was horrible. read more

Then they charge you ($900+ in my case) for something that should've been covered by the warranty and when you bring it up they are like, "What? You have an extended warranty?" I purchased my Tesla in October 2023 that's exactly 6 months ago to this day. Already I am have issues 2023 Model Y. My entire Air and heating system had to be replaced. I am pretty disappointed though regarding the issues I have had to deal with. The customer service is good and I got a loaner, but what's going on with the manufacturing of these vehicles. I have a friend who bought a Tesla the same year I got mine and they had to return the entire car due to malfunctioning. This is unacceptable for a brand new vehicle, not sure why Tesla is having these issues. What ever happened to quality control? This is not Govt, it's the mass population , the trillions of people purchasing these vehicles, especially the Gen Xers and Millennials, if it wasn't for the "limited warranty" they would not be able to afford the maintenance on there own. I had a very bad experience. I was told my financing would be 2.99% APR with a monthly payment of $668. However, when I checked my app, the contract documents did not clearly show these details. When I contacted the dealership, they told me the lender was Capital One. After speaking directly with Capital One, I was informed that my actual rate is 5.9% APR and my monthly payment is over $714. This is very concerning because the terms I agreed to at the dealership are not the same as the loan terms I was given by the lender. We just bought 2 Teslas from dealerships this week and gave them over 150,000 of business and I have to say we have received no service. It's so frustrating. Tried to get in contact with a manager, and they said none was working. I have been a corporate manager to a well known business for years and know that they always have an LOD. We started the process almost 3 years ago of installing a Tesla battery wall for our home and as much as I hate writing bad reviews it has been one of the worst managed projects I've ever seen. Heidi our project manager at Riverside Tesla will not respond to emails despite many attempts. I had to set up SDG&E myself and after getting approved I sent Heidi the approval but again despite several attempts cannot get a response from her. Just months between emails saying "let me check. My Tesla app says I would have made $1700 in electricity being sent to the grid, but instead I spent about $60K for a system that I hope is working well but nobody cares enough to check their emails and respond. I thought buying a Tesla would keep me from that terrible dealership experience, but Tesla Riverside was very frustrating. I followed all the instructions in the app, made my appointment, did the pre delivery requirements, paid the vehicle in cash. When I arrived at 4pm there was plenty of daylight and I signed the form and my advisor said it would be 20-30 minutes. So I happily waited in the customer lounge. After 1.5 hours my advisor was nowhere to be found, I walked outside and saw my Tesla just sitting there waiting in the delivery area. The other advisors outside quickly approached me saying I couldn't be in the delivery area (I mean I get it the key cards are inside and I can easily drive away). When I told them which vehicle was mine I was told to go back inside where there must be a problem with my paperwork and that's why it hasn't been delivered. Problem with the paperwork...how could that be.... Clearly the advisor outside had no idea what was happening with my vehicle but when she returned inside they must have found no issues with my paperwork as another advisor decided to deliver my vehicle. She asked if I wanted a walkthrough but stated she could easily see if I declined the walkthrough and just got on my way. Almost encouraging me to just drive away. To avoid delaying the process as I wasn't able to see any more as it was now after dark I got on my way. I can honestly say I will never ever go to Tesla Riverside, and I will think very hard prior to buying another Tesla in the future. What could improve? Everything. They charge you $250 to diagnose a dead 12V battery and charge additional for the actual battery when they were told I needed a battery. Not even a supposed manager was able to waive the diagnostic fee. I had previously switched my other 12V battery from my other Tesla for $120 from the Tesla Mobile repair but this time they charge me because I had towed it dead. Bad customer service. read more
