I found a new charging station closer to where I run my errands. There is a donut shop, 99 Ranch, a couple of places to eat nearby.

I also noticed then that the charging rates changed again making peak charges longer. There are surprisingly only 8 charging stations at this location in Las America's Outlet Mall located in the parking lot area directly across the street from Popeye's, Subway and T Mobile in the area situated between Bank of America and Achiote Restaurant, Nautica Kids, Columbia and Samsonite Stores. It is open 24 hours a day however, after the mall closes, entrance seems to be chained forcing you to drive thru the exit lane to charge. The charging stations are not labeled 1A-1H so if there is a problem with any of the chargers, it would be difficult to communicate & identify the particular station having an issue when being navigated to charge here. 6 of the charging stations are clumped very close together having patrons charge back to back with little space. The other two are separated with one handicap designated space directed across the street from Popeye's by the main Tesla white control box housing where the phone number is located to address issues however, it would be difficult to spot and see in the evening when dark. The number to call for any issues pertaining to these chargers is 1-877-798-3752. I hope they put in more charging stations at this location similar to Friars as time goes on. The rates here are $.27/kWh from 10pm-8am and doubles to $.54 from 8am-10pm. Overall, it's a GREAT place to charge close to US/Mexico Border surrounded by many shops and eateries to entertain you during your chargIng time!

Short and sweet version: Mike's the man, hire him. Long…read moreversion: Wow, i couldn't be any happier with my decision to go with Mike and Shorty's electric. I first met him at a house i was working at. I noticed how good the work he was doing turned out. I couldn't believe the detail and extra work he was putting into the project. So i was sure to get his card. I know my fair share of electrical but also know my limits. I have used him twice now. Both jobs required intricate trouble shooting. I was worried these jobs were gonna turn into massive nightmares. Both times, Mike was prompt and was able to figure out the problems. He came ready to work and got both jobs done in a timely manner at a fair price. I felt so comfortable with him that I told him to just check and fix anything he could find. Most houses are way overdue for this type of service and you will most likely find things overloaded, mis-wired or old and in need of replacement. This guy is probably the most knowledgable contractor I have ever met. By the way, i am a contractor who deals with sub contractors all the time. Shorty's electric is respectful, trustworthy and does quality work. I couldn't ask for anything more. I will never use another electrician and I recommend him to everyone one i know. By the way, He is a really nice guy so don't call him if you are mean and grumpy.

MIKE IS GREAT! I was initially hesitant to hire Mike since he did not have a single Yelp review,…read morebut he came highly recommended from another electrician. I was pleasantly surprised at how thorough a job he did. He was eager to explain why he was doing things the way he was doing, and per state electrical code. He was very helpful, cooperative, and nice. He was punctual, showing up on the first day exactly at the agreed upon time, and getting the job done in the timeframe discussed. He also lay down plastic and cleaned up after he was done. He didn't rush, took his time, made sure the outlets etc. were all level and looked nice. He knows his stuff and I will definitely use him again on the next project!

I've been coming to the Chula Vista Center AMC for almost three years, and the escalators leading…read moreto the second-floor theater have been broken for nearly that entire time. At first only one side was out of service. Now neither escalator works, yet the same apology sign has been sitting there for years. What's even more frustrating is that the nearest regular staircase is gated off, forcing everyone to use the stationary escalator steps or walk towards the north side of the mall. Escalator steps are steeper, taller, and can be slippery, making them much more difficult to navigate, especially for seniors, people with mobility issues, and families with young children. Yes, there is an elevator, but it's farther inside the mall and not conveniently located for people simply trying to get to the AMC. I see people struggling on these stairs every time I visit. What I don't understand is how the mall continues investing in new development while neglecting basic infrastructure that's already there. New restaurants and new construction are exciting, but before expanding even further, Chula Vista Center should invest in maintaining the property people already use every day. Functional escalators to one of the mall's biggest attractions shouldn't be a luxury. Three years is an unreasonable amount of time to leave both escalators out of service. If repairing them isn't possible, then at the very least open the regular staircase on the south side so people have a safer way to access the theater. Do better. This has gone on long enough.
