My friends and I had such a wonderful time attending Winter Wonderland. There were so many fun…read moreactivities for the family, including a play area with snow, arts and crafts for the kids, food vendors, musical performances, Photo Booth, photos with Santa, and much more! The highlight of my day was sitting on Santa's lap, something I had never done as a kid! Next to that would be the amazing performances! This was a really fun 2-day event for the community. The best part was, it was free! They have a theater where you can purchase tickets to attend musicals such as The Nutcracker. I'll have to check them out one of these days. There's a large private parking lot with free parking, which makes it very convenient to attend events here.

The grounds are relatively clean and well-maintained, with stunning fountains, sculptures, and plenty of space to stroll before a show. (While it's hard to control outdoor debris at times, the staff does a great job keeping things tidy.) The staff is always professional, welcoming, and helpful, whether you're picking up tickets, visiting the museum, or attending a performance. Parking is free and convenient, and the location is within walking distance of several great restaurants if you want to make a full evening of it. The Center also hosts some free community events, dance lessons, art festivals, and cultural celebrations throughout the year, making it a true gathering place for all ages. I highly recommend checking their calendar regularly, you're likely to find something that speaks to you! The Center has two excellent performance spaces: the 400 or so-seat Center Theater and the 1,500 or so-seat Concert Hall, both known for their outstanding acoustics. I've enjoyed live country concerts like Dwight Yoakam and Lee Brice here. I also recently attended the Shen Yun production and a performance by the ATLYS Quartet. Overall, the venues are intimate and offer a wonderful way to experience live entertainment. I highly recommend it and only wish they had more upcoming concerts.

6/2 update: Lost $2500 just to see if the slots really were tight and yup it's true. I even played…read morethe popular slots like Huff n Puff, Dragon Link, Five Fortunes, Phoenix Link, Monopoly Express, and the new Monopoly board game. (I avoided the craps machines this time since they seem to seven out very often after 3-5 rolls.) All the slots took $500 each with either zero return or very abysmal $20-100 return (after already being down $500 so that's not even worth it at all). I don't even do small bets, I usually do $4+ spins on 2¢ denominations on everything so it's really baffling that I only get back less than 10% of what I put in. All of this was also within 2 hours so it's very concerning that you can lose huge amounts of money so fast. I even tried with $265 worth of moreplay since moreplay isn't supposed to negatively affect the machine but... Nothing. Nada. Zero features whatsoever. That's absolutely bonkers and makes no sense. The RTP really needs to be checked here and they need to change their slogan to "the tightest slots in San Diego". But hey at least I got a "free" baking dish set. The lighting in the bathroom was perfect for make up I left for a wedding and came back later that night - the room was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was good Nice energy in the lobby with everyone happy & enjoying. It's nice that there is so much seating available. Thank you for a nice night!

So, if you are out of luck on those options above, you have to call EV Go customer service to get authorization for charging via live agent. And the bummer is since these stations are antiquated, you are pulling power only at 50KW power whereas the newer stations start from 150KW to 250KW. Be prepared for longer charging time as the chargers are slow.

It looks like an abandoned shopping plaza besides the equinox at the entrance of the unnamed road and the wine and cheese place at the end. We came when the sun was setting and even though there were plenty of chargers open on the second level, it gave me a spooky feeling. We ended up walking around the entire plaza before finding the restroom lol and the restroom entrance ended up being to slight left from the second level location where we were parked at. I attached a photo of it. I remembered the code probably until half way around the block and by the time I found it, I had forgotten it and the husband had to retrieve the code in the car I was joking with him saying if I was trying to get away from a bad guy, I'd end up dying at the restroom door from not remembering the code. I was expecting the bathroom entrance to lead directly into a restroom stall. Nope, there's a small entrance, down a few steps followed by a small hallway and the restroom was at the end of the hall. Though very "temporary" in appearance, I was very thankful to even have a restroom to use while I charged. The forests and shrubbery surrounding the charging station is also kind of spooky. Needless to say, I am a city girl. Very used to having charging stations in the middle of malls and shopping plazas. Nice pit stop but... I wouldn't wanna come alone when the sun goes down.

Room: We stayed in a Premium King room in the Dive Inn Tower. The view of the pool area was fantastic. The room was clean and I love that even though it doesn't have an actual balcony, it has a sliding glass door that opens so you can get lots of fresh air. The room rate was reasonable using the Caesar's Rewards app. Food (not including Hell's Kitchen): food options are limited. There are currently two full service restaurants that are in the process of rebranding. This leaves current food options limited to fast food, Chinese food, and pool food. There is a cafe, which we ate at once, and it also falls under the one star category. Hell's Kitchen: Definitely worth the splurge! Food and service were impeccable. We enjoyed our meal very much. (Reviewed Hell's Kitchen separately. Night life: Not a destination for night life. There was a band that played one of the nights, but it was not really our jam. Casino: As far as casinos go, it was fine. We are not gamblers, but we threw a few $$ in a video blackjack game. Casino is very smoky. Pool area: This is definitely a highlight and was the main reason for us choosing Harrah's. There is a swim up bar and a large adult only pool. Kids are allowed at the lazy river portion so that area gets super crowded. But it's a fun vibe. We appreciated that the rest of the pool area is adults only (21+) and the staff were on top of running kids out. Adequate chairs and umbrellas for shade. It was in the 90's when we were there, which was just perfect. Overall, a nice destination especially if you are wanting some R&R pool time.
