The name sounds more exciting than the town itself. Mojave is no longer in its "Heyday" when Borax was brought by mules to the railroads here. Now Mojave is just a town full of run down restaurants, gas stations and stores in the middle of hot AF desert. This Mojave Tesla Supercharger has 6 charging slots--and it appears more are in their way (6 more, perhaps). One is either for semi trucks or is a two in one charger. There is a grocery store (Stater Bros), a Mexican Restaurant (Anthony's), and S&Y Furniture Store. If you're willing to walk, there is also Thai (Mojave Thai) or burgers (Primo Burgers). Sadly, it says under Tesla amenities that there is WiFi, yet none exists--hence loss of one star. Also, I wish there were public restrooms and garbage cans. Oh well, still beats other Supercharger location

There's 7 cars waiting in front of us, I heard one waited for 1.5 hrs or more? Imagine if you were out of gas and went to the only gas station available only to have to wait 1.5-2hrs. Unacceptable. Out of 4 persons, two had to go to the bathroom and someone was hungry. There was no good bathroom options, we walked all the way to the grocery store and to the back, there was no good food options either. One Mexican restaurant which no one was in the mood for. We were coming up on our second night of running through the night. Learning that Love's had SHOWERS was like finding an oasis in the desert! Well, that's what Love's is right? My group arrived at Love's around 2am. I was the last runner and eager to rinse off all the grime from the last 40 hours. We were greeted with such friendly service. Even though there was a wait for the showers at 2am, the attendants were really friendly and curious why a bunch of women in running clothes were wanting to shower in the middle of the night. We nearly blew their mind when we told them we had run there from San Francisco. The showers were really clean and so were the towels. The whole process was really simple and everyone was able to get their showers in before we continued on. Love's also had a great selection of souvenirs and snacks. I'll probably never be in this situation ever again but Love's was probably my favorite thing from that day! Many thanks to Love's for existing and being our oasis in the night!

Murphy's saved our vacation! Our MB Sprinter RV broke down on the way to Yosemite, we had a kid and…read morea newly adopted pound puppy, and it was hotter than heck! I called Murphy's (several times I might add) and Nicole picked up the phone each time and was as sweet as can be. This happened in the afternoon, by the time we were towed it was after hours, they stayed late to ensure they got our RV inspected and, in the queue, for service. Not only that, Nicole drove, out of control car sick puppy and all to the hotel. In the late morning the next day they had our RV up running and ready to go. Nicole came back and picked us all up too! They didn't have to do any of that, but they went above and beyond. They gave us a more than fair price for the work performed and we will not hesitate to take the RV to Murphys again.
