A hot late May day and our 23 ft RV suffered a blowout on one of the rear wheels at about 4pm. Great luck in that we were near the turn off to the town of Mojave. We were able to limp our way into Mojave on the shoulder of the road and found Tony's Wheels and tires. An employee moved a truck and guided us into the parking lot. Upon examining our tires, they discovered that all 4 rear tires were old and coming apart. (This I confirmed). Believe it or not, he had 4 decent quality replacement tires in stock. Great service and a total life saver. I was headed through Mojave (from Mammoth to LA) and realized that the left tire on my dirt bike trailer was worn all the way down to the mesh. Traveling on Hwy 58 outside Mohave at 4:00 pm on 7/27 in 110 degree heat with two horses in the trailer a fellow motorist flagged us down to say we had lost a tire. No kidding - shirred off all the lug nuts on the rear axle. Thankfully we were able to get in touch with Tonys'. They said they would wait for us even though they had hoped to close at 5 pm. We limped in and the guys took charge. In an hour, maybe a bit less, we had new lug nuts, a new tire and rim AND the spare on the trailer. Provided us with shade, water for ourselves and the horses. Very reasonable price for what was an emergent need. A busy, busy place - many folks dropped in for needs while we were there and they took care of everybody.
