We needed to move one of the outlets from the head-in wall of the garage to near the overhead door opening. Since the head-in wall is insulated, we left the wiring in the wall and capped the old outlet and ran conduit to the new location. I contacted Smart Charge America to get the job done. Less than 2 weeks later my main panel overloaded and took out all my 240V systems. I scheduled a service call and their master electrician Clifford Black came out to assess the damage. I was assured that they would replace the guts inside my main panel free of charge. Following this, I was left without 240V for 3 days, and I had to remind them to send me an electrical proposal on paper. Now they claim my panel had thermal damage and refuse to restore my system unless I pay them for a full panel upgrade. In addition to this, during the service call they took my breakers that melted making it harder to get the cause diagnosed by another electrician. I was left without 240V systems in the Texas heat for over a week. Update: On the followup they said my part for replacing my panel was not available. This was not actually communicated with me and the owner is trying to save face. In reality they instead sent me a bill and refused to restore my service. They then ghosted me for any follow up.
