After moving back to OC I've been desperately looking for an amazing barber. I ran into Ahmed today during a yoga class, and we imadiately hit it off. I mentioned that I will be going to Vegas and need a nice fresh fade. Despite his busy schedule he was able to get me in right away without any questions. Ahmed has been in business for over 20 years, his skill is phenomenal and his customer service is top notch. The man undoubtedly knows how to cut hair. He takes his time and is obviously very skilled with 17+ years of experience. Cheaper than most places around the area at $25. I was trying to find a new place to start getting my haircuts because the lady I was going to was starting to cause more damage than good. I came across Tesoro and was a little hesitant because of all the positive reviews and the pictures of all the fresh cuts on yelp. Surely a place that's this good is filled with pretentious barbers and loud club music, but that was NOT the case... Not only did Ahmed fix the horrible haircut I had previously gotten from someone else, but he was a genuinely down to earth, good guy. We talked about family amongst other things and once he started to get to work, I knew I was in good hands. Yelp has been instrumental in swaying my opinion and giving me guidance, so all the other reviews for Ahmed gave me a lot of trust in trying him out and I'm so glad I did. Not only was it an upscale venue, he did an amazing job using scissors (which I normally prefer). It's usually tough to do exact cuts based on pictures a client shows you, but Ahmed blew me away with his skills. My hair was really bugging me, but by the time I get off work most places are either closed or about to close.
