They did a job for the state at my father's house. it took months to finish. New ductwork was supposed to be installed that was partially replaced. I found 3 that was full of soot from previous furnace problems So never done. The basement was a mess they left the trash behind. Destroyed the basement ceiling didn't even try to fix it. The central air drain hose was just twisted and not in place .The pump for the unit was to small . I had to get a hvac company to replace pump . The unit is only 3 months old.So if you want it done right and in a timely matter use a different company. read more

The most horrific experience I've had working with a contractor. I was assured that the work would be complete in 5-7 business days. The owner reached out to me constantly to get me to sign the proposal and answer my questions, but as soon as I signed and put down the deposit, he disappeared. MONTHS later, after many unanswered phone calls, his team finally "completed" the job. His team didn't do many of the items we discussed (even though I was willing to pay more for them). The communication was awful- it was impossible to get someone on the phone or get a clear timeline. It's so sad to spend so much money with someone and get treated like complete garbage. I later found out that the "total replacement" didn't include a basic backup heating element that any reputable vendor would have provide., or at least included in the proposal. They disconnected the 20 year old heating element and didn't hook it up to the new system. It took another month after they did the install to get any warranty paperwork. Honestly, this is just the tip of the iceberg- this company is bad news. I would avoid at all costs. read more

Tetteris installed a heat pump unit in my attic little over a year ago. Started leaking month ago from a hole in tape on end unit into my attic space instead of leak pan and I have water damage now on second floor. They came out retaped the end unit and lifted it up, put in another drain pipe and moved the pan underneath leak and charged me $125. I have no confidence it won't leak again. They said leak into living space was my entirely fault cause I didn't replace filters enough and melting ice block overwhelmed a one inch drain pipe. Ice doesn't melt that fast and Personally it should have leaked into the catch pan at the very least and not into attic drywall. What's the point of a backup system if it doesn't work. Had unit before this for 20 years and never had this problem. My view point is it was faulty installation. If they had taken some responsibility of the non working backup and leaky hole I would not have written this review but they were happy to put entire blame for unit leaking into attic on me. Professionalism rated low due to not taking any responsibility of non working backup system and hole in tape contributing to leak in attic. read more

Worst experience ever. I'd not recommend these fools to my worst enemies. $75 diagnosis charge was doubled up upon arrival. 15 minutes work was extended to half a day. $ 50 parts were charged 7 times more ($360). On June 6th 2018 I was visited by Michael Tetteris the business owner. I requested his services after finding his company online. I was having power issues with the a/c unit in my condo. Upon evaluating the problem Michael Tetteris told me that their was an issue with the wiring to the compressor. He told me that he did not have the parts needed but he could do something that would fix the problem. After he completed the work I felt that I was overcharged for the lack of work done. After we completed our transaction I gave tetteris heating and air a unsatisfactory review. A year later to the date my a/c completely lossed power. I was told by my land lord to call the last company that worked on the unit to find out if they could come out again to evaluate. Upon calling Michael Tetteris I was rudely disrespected and was told that the reason is because I gave his company a bad review. After he raised his voice at me he rudely ended the phone call and would not pick up any other time I called. I had no choice but to call another company, GAC services who came out and assessed my a/c unit and upon inspection told me that whoever did the previous work on my unit caused a major shortage that compromised the compressor and the a/c unit itself. Do to Tetteris heating and air the entire compressor has to be replaced. read more

Summary: The technicians of Tetteris Co caused wide spread damage to the air conditioning and heating system while servicing the compressor outside. Tetteris Co refused to take responsibility for the damage, and they offered to fix it only if I pay them more to do so. It is understandable that a contractor, like Tetteris, can sometimes make a mistake. But, it is dishonest and bad business when that contractor refuses to take responsibility for their mistake. On Monday 16 SEP, our A/C was working fine except the air temperature was not as cold as it should be. The HVAC tech from Tetteris Co worked on the outside compressor. They added two pounds of refrigerant and the temperature of the forced air became cold again. Then they opened up the electrical enclosure which is inside of the compressor cabinet, they disconnected several high voltage (220 Volt) connections, removed components. Then they replaced one of the capacitors, reassembled the wires and the components of the electrical enclosure. Then closed the compressor cabinet. One hour after the tech left, the A/C stopped working. The thermostat on the wall in the house was burned, we could smell the burn. And it was totally non-functional. Upon further discovery we saw that the wires and the components in the electrical enclosure in the compressor outside were burned and destroyed. Also, the circuit board in the furnace was burned and non-functional. The thermostat belongs to Potomac Electric Power CO, so PEPCO made a service call the next day (17 SEP). The PEPCO rep determined that the thermostat had burned internally due to improper high voltage having been applied. And the PEPCO rep diagnosed with his meter that the cause was that the high voltage (240 V) in the outside compressor was shorted to the low voltage (24 V) signal line which runs from the compressor to PEPCO's thermostat and to the circuit board in the furnace. On 18 SEP, The Tetteris technicians returned and opened the outside compressor cabinet, then opened the electrical enclosure inside the cabinet and found the shorted wiring (as diagnosed by PEPCO) and burned components. Tetteris refused to accept responsibility for this damage. They have only offered to repair it for additional fees. Later this same day (18 SEP), The Don Hoffacker Company examined it, and stated that this kind of damage does not happen spontaneously. It only happens when someone makes a mistake to cause it to happen. It is understandable that a contractor, like Tetteris, can sometimes make a mistake. But, it is dishonest and bad business when that contractor refuses to take responsibility for their mistake. read more

My mother's AC stopped working during the 90 plus degree weather. I read the reviews about this company and decided to try it. I couldn't be more satisfied. Mike went right out the next day and assessed the situation. He offered a range of solutions. We chose to put in a new system. Mike reserved the upcoming Saturday and brought in his whole crew so that the work could be done in one day. In addition, when I had questions about the system two weeks later, Mike returned my call!
