I bought fire chicken with rice.The chicken legs are the same length and size of a soy sauce packet I received my order in about 5 to 7 minutes. I never seen the chicken. I just heard the buzzer go off and he lifted it out of the grease. He warmed the cooked chicken in hot grease. I should have known better when I didn't see anyone else there it was just me and him. I feel like they might sell 5 plates a day 2 regulars and some poor fools who are hungry and didn't want to wait at Timmy Chans. Let's start off by saying I hardly ever write a review but today's experience was worthy of a review being needed. Went by today since I've gone before and I ordered broccoli chicken. Order was made quickly and was super fresh, we drive off and open the container and I'm not sure what was cooked but it wasn't chicken breast like they say. The meat was super mushy and fatty almost like mostly chicken fat in sauce. I went back and returned it and explained to them that it wasn't chicken breast and the gentleman in the kitchen became upset and went off in their language. I gently explained to the lady that yes maybe this is chicken but it's definitely not chicken breast like they claim. My entire plate was full of whatever this was and showed them how squishy it was. I told them they could maybe it offer with beef or shrimp or just simply give me back my money well they declined to do either. No problem. Super chicken saved my marriage! This was the first time I ever went to this establishment, and I have to admit the food was fantastic. My intention was to get the chicken to go, but when I arrived, the service was so exceptional I asked my wife if she wanted to stay. While we were there, there were mariachis. The mariachi band happened to play the same song that me and my wife got married to, I recommend anyone reading this to eat super chicken and rice five star all the way. The staff treated me as a castilian caballero. The super chicken had an incredible blend of herbs and spices and while I don't know what the exact mix was, Super Chicken and Rice definitely gave me super powers and drive that night on what I consider our new anniversary. This is one of those greasy spoons that you love but hate to admit. This place serves up Chinese food and the best shrimp fried rice that I have found in the city. Their menu has typical Chinese picks ranging from egg rolls, wonton soup, sweet and sour chicken to stir fry with fish. I've tried their lunch combos before that costs about $7 that include fried rice and an egg roll. The food is good but my go to is the shrimp fried rice! If you purchase an order of it, they fill it up and they use huge shrimps in the rice, not baby ones like most places do. We make the drive to this area for their rice, we love it lol We've tried their "family meal" when we needed to feed 4 people and it's pretty good. It costs about $21 and you get fried chicken, fried rice, fries, and rolls. So horrible but so good as an occasional cheat meal. The building doesn't look like the nicest place, the inside is plain and looks kind of sketch, but we usually order our food to go. However, don't let the looks deter you, the employees that we've encountered have always been nice and your food comes out fast. Got called in for a midnight shift at work, so was looking for a late night food delivery. Found this place Texas Chicken and Rice, catchy name, thought I would try it. I ordered the Chicken and Mushrooms which also have garlic, carrot, onions, and bell. So glad I ordered my food from here, It was DELICIOUS!!! The shrimp noodle soup was really good. However, the Mongolian beef wasn't. The flavor was was good, but the meat was soft and squishy, and it definitely wasn't beef. I took a couple bites and threw it in the trash. If I were to order from here again, I'd only opt for a shrimp based meal. I don't trust their other meat. read more

I went in to pick up my food and I asked the guy if I could look at it. He told me why you think I make wrong, they order I make it. So he thought I was a delivery driver. When I started asking questions about the order he says look just deliver food. I looked at him and was like what, that's when he was like are you delivery or your order. And I informed him that I ordered the food. So he was like if something wrong let me know. I just told him we ordered Saturday and this doesn't look the same. So he proceeded to tell me uhhh just eat. At first I was like did he say that or am I just tripping. Then the other person started saying the same thing "just eat just eat". I told him that there is no need for them to be rude I'm just trying to make sure I ordered it right. Then totally ignored me when I asked about my order to answer the phone and scream a customer saying "what do you want". It's sad that they have great food and poor customer service. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a establishment that to serve food I grew up eating and loving this place. Drove from Edgebrook to come and pick up some food, so evidently they have a new cook a young Chinese guy with glasses. So I ordered a family deal that includes 15 pieces of chicken fried rice fries and biscuits. By the time we got back home we opened started tearing up the rice and biscuits in the fridge when we got to the chicken it was horrible these pieces look like they were smoking crack and look more like pigeon than chicken. So we did eat a little bit out of it and then I decided to drive it back because it was that horrible and when I ask for a refund which I understood we ate a little bit out of it the gentleman got psycho on me putting his fingers in my face then I asked if I could at least have a 1/2 my money back.
