It's been a while since I've been here, but my uncle got us a gift card pre-COVID and it was about time we finally used it. The place is nicer than I remember. They may have remodeled since my last visit. The salad bar is about what you would expect. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad. The meats: This is what you want. I, particularly, wanted lamb chops and they did arrive, and I was sad to find that they were tough. They were definitely overcooked. The beef rib was cooked perfectly. It is a fatty piece of meat, so be careful if you don't like that. The Picanha was a bit charred as if it was held too close to the fire. It's okay, but I'd rather it taste like the meat than burnt. It's usually my favorite, but it was just okay this time. The Filet was a bit overcooked as well. The first piece had a small part of it hanging off and it was definitely overcooked, but so was the main piece it was attached to. The second time it came around, it was average. Overall, the experience was pretty good. Our server was attentive and my glass was always filled again when it was empty. I stay away from the Salad bar cause I'm just not a big salad guy but the mashed potatoes and all of the meats are amazing! My fiancé loves the lobster bisque soup and I have only had wine while I'm there. I love the environment, it is intimate and I'm actually looking to possibly have an event here. I would give no stars if that was possible. I was there Saturday April 13 to celebrate my 50th birthday dinner. We had reservations for a party of 12 at 6pm. Our server was attentive, but we did have to request other cuts of meat brought to our table as the only items that came around frequently were flank steak, garlic chicken, and lamb. After we finished eating, the bill arrived and we provided gifts cards to be used as a form of payment and the remaining balance put on our credit card. The manager on duty, Jessica, processed it incorrectly and used one of the gift cards on someone else's bill. Because of this, she had to call corporate office to get it straightened out. She was very rude and annoyed by the whole situation. But it was HER mistake! Even our waiter had to apologize on her behalf, because he recognized we were being disrespected with how the situation was being handled. To add insult to injury, we were supposed to receive 3 senior citizens discounts which was noted on the original bill, but she forgot to include it when she re-processed it and rudely told my husband, "Well, you used discounted gift cards anyway, so I am not taken off the senior citizen discounts." My husband did not want to make a scene since this was supposed to be a happy occasion and did not want it to ruin the evening. The whole ordeal was taking 30-40 minutes and we had after dinner plans, so he didn't want to escalate it any further. As we left the building, the waiter handed my husband the general manager's business card. Apparently, Jessica is just one of the co-managers on duty that evening. Even the waiter could tell we were unhappy with the whole situation and how things transpired. I contacted corporate who gave me some BS template response with no accountability for the way we were treated. Needless to say, we won't be going back and recommend family and friends stay away as well. For them to allow management to treat customers this way is mind boggling. This use to be a fancy fine dining restaurant with a dress code, now there's kids running around the salad bar, adults in sweatpants and slippers and overall just a dirty environment. Dine in post COVID review. If you have been here before you are aware Of the extravagant salad bar and meat brought to your table. Clearly there have been some changes and here are my highlights. First, the seating spacing needs work. Tables for the most part are spread 6 feet out but when people sit and pull out the chairs it may be less than 6 feet. When I went not all the tables were being used but if they are on the floor the assumption is that they will be used if needed. IMO less tables and more open space would be better. I've read a review before coming about this and I would have to agree: if you are worried about spacing, this is not the place for you. Second, they have done a great job with shutting down the self service salad bar. Now your wait staff brings you a piece of paper and you fill out what you want. Our server pulled out pens from her apron and gave them to us each time. I wondered how many times the same pen was used throughout the night and how many guest touched it and if was ever wiped down. (May recommend bringing your own writing utensil) In the end, you sacrifice having the condiments readily available to pair with the meats you have with the safety of knowing no one other than the servers assigned to the salad bar has been hovering over the food. Finally, you have the same quality of meats. It is still brought to the table side and you use your personal tongs to grab the meat. They haven't done away with this but just like the pens, the meat is in close proximity to other guest when they are grabbing the meat, no masks. I get it though, the experience is having the meat coming off the skewers or carved in front of you. So hope this helps you decide whether to visit Texas De Brazil or to wait a bit longer. I gave this a 3 star because I'm neutral about going back. Unless I'm going for an event (birthday this time) I think I'd pass based on the close proximity to the meat passing from table to table and ordering the salad bar from a paper (I would skip asking for something esp if you have a slow server) is enough for me to wait until I can experience this again at 100%. read more

We went to the Addison location for the first time today. The servers carving the meat at the table were wonderful. The service never slowed down. However, our main server was not very attentive. We had to flag him down to remove dirty plates, get a drink refill, and get our check. He seemed very uninterested in serving us. The food was very good. I only had the salad meal while my husband and stepson had the full experience. There were many options at the salad area, so I would have been too full to eat meat. The other drawback were the flies around the area with the clean dishes for salads. Luckily there were no flies around the food, but just seeing the many flies around the clean plates was not very appetizing. Our reservation, like everyone else waiting, was delayed because they were "waiting for people to get up." Putting blame on guests is really poor form. If they learned to MAKE reservations for 2 and a half hours long, instead of a "max 2 hours policy" buck passing joke, it would make for a much better visit. You're just stuck when you get there. Parking is virtually non existent and the driveway funnels guests to an small overpacked circle valet. So you have to wait more.. The food and service was good, if you like salty. The meat servers kept interrupting conversations even when we had the red card up. They didn't pay attention to the cards at all. The lobster bisque was all soup, no lobster. The meat was mostly over cooked. We live in TX, I prefer my meat medium rare. Most of the meat had no pink center. Even when the servers said it was medium rare, it was not. Go to Another Location This was the worst experience ever. Waiting after we had reservations and having people come after us be seated immediately, not cool. I had to ask what was the point of reservations if we still had to wait (and no we were not late). The table next to us was huge and they were SO LOUD and that's when it started getting weird. Not one staff member addressed them and asked them to lower their voices... stop screaming... at one point one of the men was up walking around slapping his knee bent over screaming laughing, it was inconsiderate and disrespectful to others yet not one staff member addressed them. I thought our waitress went home for the evening because it took her so long to return with our drinks. Oh, the best part was when my fork fell on the floor so I couldn't finish my dinner and the waitress never came back to see if our drinks needed to be refreshed (or I would have mentioned it) so I had to stop eating for the night. She returned when we asked for the check and then stood over us as we paid. Maybe she was new? Anyway, it threw off the entire date night and was a waste of an outfit. My husband and I came here for lunch today. Here is a break-down of our delicious experience: Drinks: I ordered a glass of the house cabernet. It paired really nicely with the medium rare steak. My husband got a diet coke. It was served in a glass bottle with no free refills. Salad Bar: I loved the salad bar. I choose goat cheese and croustinis, fresh parmesan, and other yummy goodies. They had fresh soup available too, however I wanted to save room for the steak! Meat: My favorite meat was the house sirloin special. It was delicious. They also had a variety of chicken, steak, lamb and sausage. Delicious! Side Dishes: The side dishes included mashed potatoes, fried bananas and brazilain rolls. We were so full from the steak that we didn't touch the mashed potatoes. The fried bananas were amazing! I had four :/ And the rolls were so good -- warm, cheesy goodness! This is a tad expensive. My coworkers and I came to celebrate a birthday. We decided to come for a weekend brunch because it seemed like it would be the best deal. You get access to the salad bar, a variety of meats minus the lamb chops, a nonalcoholic drink, and your choice of one dessert for $35 ish You can opt for just the salad bar and it's even cheaper (upper 20's). I did however get a taste of the Picanha meat and that was to die for !! It just melts in your mouth with flavor and the meat was so tender. I really liked the salad bar. There was so much to choose from and they all tasted really good. They had mouth watering smoked salmon, big mozzerella balls, couscous, proscuitto, pasta salads, lobster bisque soup, and a ton of other stuff that I don't remember. The complimentary cheesey bread balls are delicious as well!! They'll put them on your table for you. The dessert I chose was the creme brulee. It was flavorful, however the sugar topping was burnt and it was too thick. I did manage to finish off the rest though. The key lime pie I think is probably the best to end the meal with in my opinion. It's not as heavy as the chocolate cake or the cheesecake, and its got a lighter sweetness to the palette, but you might be able to finish it all. Overall, I'll probably come back for a special occasion, but probably either during brunch, lunch, or with a coupon for $25 off 2 dinners when you sign up for their member program. read more

Do not order takeout. I tried this location maybe a year ago and it is still the same issue. First, it took more than an hour to deliver to me when it's only a five minute drive. While that's no fault of Texas de Brazil, sending cold food to a customer is. Luckily the delivery company refunded me in full, but I will never order this garbage again. I've been tried a lot of Brazilian steak restaurant and this place was just ok for me. I loved fried pineapple but this place doesn't have that, only salad bar has pineapple. I went to here on thanksgiving day and I'm not sure here has a lot of steaks as different places. I didn't ate much cuz I ate already 30mins before went to there. I've been about 6 times now but it never gets old and it had been a while since we had been so I was ecstatic when he pulled in and I saw the restaurant! This place is very fancy and the waiters and hosts are all very professional and hard working! Went there on a busy Mother's Day but that just meant the meats should be fresh and on constant rotation. Right?? The salad bar is a decent size as I have seen bigger so nothing to brag about there. The cocktails are pretty good but on the sweeter note. The best cuts of meat were the lamb picanha (just got it back) and leg of lamb (tender and not as gamey as expected). The worst cuts were the parmesan pork, beef ribs, and bacon wrapped filet because they were saturated with salt. I had high hopes for the lamb chops but they were mostly fat. If you like it spicy, make sure to grab the chimichurri sauce along with the red peppers from the bar. The lobster bisque was delicious but don't expect any chunks of lobster. Haha. Oh, why did the quality of the cheese breads go down? I can easily scarf down a half dozen breads, but I wasn't even able to finish one. Not worth the space in my stomach for crap bread. They did replace the yucca fries with French fries and that will get a lot of people as it will fill you up quick. Don't fall into their trap and actually get your money's worth with the meats. Plenty of much better Brazilian Steakhouses in the DFW area for around $50 so venture out a bit and don't get hung up on the name. read more

It was a great date night for us. We had never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before and it is now one of my wife's favorite places. I obviously can't compare this restaurant to other Brazilian food as a first timer, but it was delicious and a very positive experience for us. Sirloin was fantastic for me, and wife loves the lamb. My only small complaint was the filet was overcooked and there was some awkwardness between the waitress and manager that came by to check on us (hate it when mgmt does that). Side note: My wife has dairy, egg, soy, tree nut allergies. She had so many options to eat from the buffet and also could eat almost all the meats. The website is very clear and easy to navigate. They have a full listing of allergens for every item. So I was able to research beforehand and make sure she could eat things there. Let me just say WOW! We've been to other Brazilian steakhouses and they just don't compare. Our waitress was super attentive. We had the Brazilian cheese bread which is so delicious and the sweet fried bananas which were coasted in cinnamon sugar (insert drool). Always keeping our drinks filled and plates cleared. They have a nice salad bar with romaine and spring mix, several dressings, tomatoes, olives, peppers, bacon, croutons. There's soup as well as pineapple carpaccio, fresh mozzarella, a wheel of freshly shaved parmesan, goat cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, roasted garlic and so much more. The staff who came around with the meats was super friendly and they'll accommodate the meat to your preference. We had filet mignon, bacon wrapped filet mignon, lamb chops, garlic picanha, Brazilian sausage, roasted leg of lamb, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, parmesan drumette, parmesan crusted pork loin and chicken sausage.
