I've always wanted to go to this location in Addison. I've been to the one off oak lawn & similar franchises but wanted to see if this place lived up to the hype. I had a reservation for Father's Day & was seated immediately. The open salad bar is now served by the waiters; you'll be given the paper and you pick what ya want. The meat galore was never ending! Let me just say WOW! We've been to other Brazilian steakhouses and they just don't compare. Our waitress was super attentive. We had the Brazilian cheese bread which is so delicious and the sweet fried bananas which were coasted in cinnamon sugar (insert drool). Always keeping our drinks filled and plates cleared. They have a nice salad bar with romaine and spring mix, several dressings, tomatoes, olives, peppers, bacon, croutons. There's soup as well as pineapple carpaccio, fresh mozzarella, a wheel of freshly shaved parmesan, goat cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, roasted garlic and so much more. The staff who came around with the meats was super friendly and they'll accommodate the meat to your preference. We had filet mignon, bacon wrapped filet mignon, lamb chops, garlic picanha, Brazilian sausage, roasted leg of lamb, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, parmesan drumette, parmesan crusted pork loin and chicken sausage. I came if for dinner during restaurant week for a steal and dessert included. Our server was amazing and very attentive. My water and wine were tended to as needed and when I requested more lamb he made sure we got it. First I went for the salad bar and had the Romaine salad, fresh cheese, potato salad, shrimp salad and cucumber salad. My favorite was definitely the shrimp salad and the cucumber salad. The shrimp salad was spicy and garlicky and the cucumber salad was well seasoned with plenty of herbs. Now for the meats. I tried them all and my favorites were the lamp chop and lamb shank with the mint jelly. The seasoning is top notch! I also enjoyed the beef rib with was so tender all you needed was a fork. I understand the pandemic has wreaked havoc on the entire food industry especially Restaurants such as Texas de Brazil. It was a special occasion our Son graduated high school and we had not been here in over 2 years. We had reservations for 7pm they seated us and proceeded to get our drink order and feel free to visit the salad bar. 3 clean plates and 1 bowl and the salad bar had 4 empty selections. So I said to myself it was probably just a really busy Sunday. Went back to my table where my wife was eating her salad bar selections and my son had his disk turned over to the green side and I sat down and did the same. It was 7:22 and the first Garcons came by our table to slice some of the delectable meat. By 7:30 I had 4 different cuts of meat and they were hot and juicy except for the pork was dry. We got a refill on drinks and decided to ask our waiter about the cheese puffs, mashed potatoes, and plantains. He said the puffs were in the oven, but would bring them out as quickly as possible. By this time we noticed the table behind us with eight seats had not been bussed yet. We got another round of meats and I observed that they were all repeating at this point which after my accounting indicated there were only seven cuts of meat. I went here for my anniversary and must say I am very disappointed with this location. My waitress was awesome, she took amazing care of us and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert, however the meat servers were awful. You'd ask for more meat and they would just walk off, they would act as if they were annoyed to be there. We also had to wait a long time to get meats, they would see us and instead would turn to another table. The salad bar was an absolute mess, sides were not refilled and it was dirty all around. No sense of caution with COVID or just any diseases that can pass from plate to plate. Everyone was touching everything, clearly they didn't learn anything from COVID. Wanted to try this place for the first time, so I called to make a reservation. They told me there's no need for that and I could just walk in and get seated. I tell her I need a table, and she said the wait time would be 50 minutes. I told her I tried making a reservation, but they told me that I could just walk in, and even show her the proof on my phone that I had a conversation with their number for around 1 minute. She said there's no reservation under my name but they'll try to seat me as soon as possible and send me a text when my table is ready. At this point, I just leave, go to Fogo De Chao, get seated and start eating and guess what, exactly 48 minutes later my phone starts blowing up with more than 10 texts all saying my table is ready. I feel I've been hoodwinked after eating here! After purchasing a $60+ VIP card that allows for 1/2 price for dinner Mon-Thur, I thought this was gonna be a great deal - I was wrong. Out of all the local Brazilian Churrascarias, (I've been to all of them - Fogo, Rafain, Villa's, Blue Charcoal, Vila Brazil, Rodizio Grill) the food here is one of the worst! Bland, dry, flavorless meat! The parmesan chicken legs were dry and a huge disappointment! The beef ribs were terrible! Sausage - dry and over-cooked! The picañha - mediocre. The gauchos can't even slice the meat off the skewers well. These aren't real gauchos! They haven't been trained in giving quality service. These guys can't even make rice right - it was clumpy and slightly mushy! Don't bother with the feijoada (black beans). Feijoada is the National Dish of Brazil but they even screwed that up! No ham bone, no meat, no sausage in the dish whatsoever! Whoever is running this restaurant take note - up your quality and taste game or say "tchau" to all your customers! I was embarrassed to bring my Brazilian mother-in-law here. To top it off, they charged us for "still water" - twice @ $5.99 a piece! Maybe I should have known better, I thought that they meant local tap water. But even if I wanted "still" water to purchase, I wouldn't have bought "Saratoga" brand "still" water! What the heck is that? They also charged us $69 for a bottle of their HOUSE wine when they initially said $60! Hey waiter, get your prices right! That sure is a pricey house wine! To top it off, they seated us (table of 5) close to the door, where the most foot traffic is! Here's a tip, seat people that look like good potential repeat customers SOMEWHERE ELSE! All I can say is "thank goodness I didn't pay $45.99 - full price!" It's not a value even at half price. There isn't even a dessert on the buffet like all the other churrascarias. Not unless you want to include cold "pineapple carpaccio." "Pineapple carpaccio?" Yeah, um, that's pretty weak! For great Brazilian steak, go somewhere else! In North Dallas there are at least 2 other churrascarias that are better tasting than TX de Brazil. There is one churrascaria that is MUCH better in Irving! As a vegetarian, this place is top of the top for special occasion outings, and unlike many places, offers excellent choices for meat eaters and veggies alike. Omnivores can eat from the meat at your table and salad bar buffets, while vegetarians can eat from the salad bar only for a reduced price. But the name 'salad bar' does not do Texas de Brazil justice. It's a buffet of meditteranean cheeses, olives, peppers, artichoke hearts, cold couscous salad, fresh mozzarella, cheese dip and more. Everything is delicious and the salad bar includes hot dishes such as bisque, potatoes au gratin and marinated mushrooms. My husband and I went here on Friday. I made reservations online through their website (they aren't on www.opentable.com). Self-Parking was full but luckily a car pulled out right before we were driving up to the valet. The lady at the front desk couldn't find my reservations at that location, but said I had made reservations for the Dallas one. Thank goodness I was able to pull up the reservation on my phone to show her because I know I had made it for Addison. Magically, she was able to find me in the system now. She Informed us that they were running behind with their reservations but wouldn't take long. We waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated. It was a full house, and there were about 6 other parties waiting to be seated. Other than the lady at the front desk, everything else was great. Our waitress and the staff were very attentive and quick to refill water and bread, take up plates, and ask us for any specific meats that we wanted brought to our table. Service did not lack despite how busy it was. I really love the cheese rolls and fried plantains that they bring you (they also bring you mashed potatoes, but that was just okay). The rest of the sides you get at the salad bar. There's a great selection to chose from and I had to try a little bit of everything. As far as meats, the beef rib and the picanha were my favorites! This is a great place for celebrations. The salad bar has lots of options, the tabule is specially good, they even have sushi and different kind of fish. The have an only salad bar option, which for my vegan sister in law was great. They have Picanha which is a really juicy type of meat, in my experience the best! Alcohol is not included but they have plenty of options, I would go for the Pinot Noir from the house which is from Chile, or the Caipirinha. My suggestion when planning on coming here...don't eat the WHOLE DAY! It's SO MUCH FOOD and that is NO lie. Not only do you have carvers walking around constantly looking for green "chips" (green meaning GO for more meat) ready to serve you prime cuts of meat such as filet mignon, garlic pork, bacon-wrapped chicken and Brazilian sausage, but when you sit down at your table, you have a warm basket FULL of house-baked Brazilian cheese bread. Those little cheese pockets are the BEST! It doesn't stop there though. Their salad bar is greatness! Everything from lobster bisque, sautéed mushrooms (one of my faves), scalloped potatoes, sushi, a selection of gourmet vegetables, dressings and greens galore. It's so many options and you can go back and forth for as much as you want. The plan when dining here, take your time, chew your food, enjoy every bite, put your fork down...because before you know it, you'll be as full as a tick, with a smile on your face. Midway thru our meal, Another party came in and was seated VERY close to our table. I went to the hostess who sat them and advised there was not 6ft of spacing. She came to our section and said she couldn't move the table because it was already there (like, what??) I told her again, there was not 6ft of spacing. She said she would get the manager but didn't. I asked our waitress for the manager, who also was another young girl. She claimed restaurants can have 4ft of spacing between tables. WELL SHE NEEDS TO BRUSH UP ON REGULATIONS because it's not the case. Tables can be 4ft apart IF there is a plexiglass partition in-between, which there was not. The party of 2 that was sat apparently was annoyed I wanted them moved so bad and opted to move themselves but they also shouldn't have wanted to be so close to my table -- what are people thinking? The manager didn't apologize for the inconvenience, misunderstanding, nothing-- she walked off with an attitude, came back to clean the table and that was all. I've been here a couple times now so have formulated a good plan of attack. First of all, I don't waste too much room on the salad bar and chicken. Then I leave the button on green until I have a heaping mound of various red meats piled on my plate. Much to my surprise, my favorite meat is their signature sirloin. It's hard to believe how melt-in-your-mouth tender it is - on par with the filet and even more flavorful. I'm not sure how anyone could possibly have room for dessert, but I did get the ginormous slice of carrot cake to-go last time. The cake was fine but the icing was artificially gummy. Phenomenal service! During my pig out session, I managed to soil the tablecloth with meat juices and the waitress came by and covered it up with a clean napkin and swept up any crumbs. The cheese bread, cinnamon-sugar banana, and mashed potato sides were always quickly refilled. My water was never more than half empty. Dinner is a little pricey at $43 before tax and tip so you're better off eating here for lunch when it's half as much. I just wish I could still eat as much as I could in college. read more

It's been a while since my last visit, but Texas de Brazil is still doing almost everything right. The salad bar still has a modest (compared to a nearby competitor) but quite nice selection; I particularly liked the caramelized onions with balsamic and (oddly) the bacon. Yeah, American style breakfast bacon. It was delicious! But, as I said so many years ago, it's about the meat here. I've come up with a theory, though, that there is some profiling/server optimization going on here, and it would totally make sense for them. When you first get seated with your salad plates, you're inundated with gauchos bringing you all of the good stuff, including lamb chops (yum!) and the prime beef cuts. However, the rate of arrival starts slowing as you go on, to the extent that you may have to flag them down as they go by. In fairness, though, they'll happily stop and give you what you want, you just have to work a little harder at it. Having said that, the meat was delicious, and I took advantage of the service to try some meats a little more rare than I ordinarily eat; I'm usually a medium rare guy, but I tried some even more rare than that. It was quite good, but I'll still probably stick to medium rare for the most part. The bottom line is that this place is still bringing the goods (literally and figuratively), but bring your deep pockets, because it's not cheap. But it's definitely a "get what you pay for" affair. read more

I didn't know what to expect since I had heard that these Brazilian steakhouses were all about the meat and I'm not too crazy of a meat eater. However, it was sooooo good!! Tons of choices - soups, salads, veggies galore, breads, dips, shrimp, etc. Then they walk around with various cooked meats on skewers and slice you off a piece if you want some. I was afraid they wouldn't have super well done pieces but they did .... sooo yummy! I had a few slices of the steak. There are definitely a ton of choices for people with food allergies such as myself. You can be vegetarian, vegan .. I think there are options for everyone!
