One of the strangest dining experiences my husband and I have ever had. The server started off by bringing a bottle of wine to our table, setting it down, and fully tried selling it to us. When we rejected the bottle, he left it at our table until we ordered something else. I am all for getting your sales up, but this was incredibly weird. The steak was good, and the individuals bringing it over were great. Our night ended with this complimentary birthday... plate? Again, very strange for a restaurant of this price point. I went to Texas de Brazil in Hartford during a layover and somehow ended up having Thanksgiving dinner there, which was not on my bingo card but worked out pretty well. They had all the usual Thanksgiving foods along with the regular Texas de Brazil selections, so there was no shortage of options. The cranberry sauce wasn't my favorite, but the overall food and vibe made up for it. The servers *would not stop* coming by the table with meat selections, we could barely catch our breath before another skewer appeared. Not exactly a complaint, just impressive dedication. Our waiter, however, was perfect and kept everything running smoothly. The floors were extremely slippery, which was a little alarming, but guest services were excellent. Went here to celebrate a birthday. The location was nice but we were seated behind a column so it was hard to make eye contact with the gauchos to get meat, we got walked past a decent bit during the bigger dinner rush. My seat was also a bit in the aisle and I felt like I was about to trip someone! The meats were good, not everything made its way to us (like sausage and chicken and lamb) but we still got a lot of different steaks and almost all were very delicious, seasoned well. Salad bar was fun but again, nothing too crazy. We also didn't get fries on our table, but I did notice other tables did, not sure what that was about. The mashed potatoes and the banana were great! They made note we were celebrating a birthday and it was our first time but then nothing really came from that either. For years I heard the hype. For years I thought it could not be as advertised due to being in a shopping mall. Then... my oldest son turned 18. We wanted something different. Simply outstanding. From the service to the feel to the selection. Any dietary preference can be more than amply accommodated. Don't let anyone in your family/friends group use the argument of "I don't eat meat" as a barrier to entry. The sides and salad bar should be named something more substantial as they surpass any expectation of what those terms used to mean. The meats... OMG. And the best part is you can learn which cuts you prefer the most and your server will help guide the carvers to you. Amazing. Tips: 1) come hungry 2) budget $60 per person with tip (if not drinking alcohol) 3) make a big charcuterie plate for the table as you also enjoy your salads and soups, etc. 4) get a plate for meat. And a plate for sides. 5) the lamb varieties and the Picanha beef are fantastic. She was prompt, on top of drinks and checked in to see if there were other meats we missed or wanted to try and notified the servers. There is a HUGE drink menu to choose from also, a la carte. You start off at the salad bar with various toppings and dressings, a variety of imported cheeses and meats. Green beans, potato salad, fruits and veggies, couscous, smoked salmon, rice and beans, tabouli, specialty soup (we had lobster bisque)... and I'm missing some still!! You ALSO get fries, creamy mashed potatoes, sweet cinnamon bananas and Brazilians cheese bread that keeps coming out fresh! I was honestly disappointed with my experience at this steakhouse. I love Brazilian steakhouses but this one felt incomplete. The restaurant presentation was really nice and looking more upscale and the staff were all friendly and nice. So it was the standard salad bar and flip your card to green for Meats to arrive. Our waitress asked us how we liked our meat but that didn't seem to matter cause everything that came seem to be raw, rare or medium rare when we said medium well. They brought one well done steak but that seemed more burnt. It was a full house so I can understand the service being slowly so they can tend to everyone but it seemed like they slowed down drastically on serving our table meat. This was an incredible experience. My nibling turned 8, and this was his choice for his birthday dinner. He has a sophisticated palate for such a young age. The salad bar was enormous. Between the 3 of us, we selected a vide variety of charcuterie, salads and sides. The salmon was tender, the taboleh was fresh, it was all wonderful. The staff could not have been more accommodating, especially our server, Thomas. He paid special attention to my nibling, which was so appreciated. two sad stars, I'm actually upset, but not losing any sleep over it (well maybe from the GI issues) yea, so 745 res, sat around 830, but as I feared, this place was pretty much decimated by now and we got the dregs. hey, the party had a nice time, but as they didn't really know better. total zoo at the host stand, I'd be livid if my table was anywhere around there. the whole area was full of irate customers, the vestible was wide open letting in cold air, and it was packed like a can of sardines, total fire hazard, complete fubar. I will point out, one irate party in particular didnt comprehend the law of nature stating only one person can be in one place at any given time (their table wasnt ready) and the hostess with a GREAT amount of poise told them to get bent. salad bar was meh, didn't try the bisque didn't want to chance it, but still had to test out the WC by the end of our 'experience.' also, the lack of supporting sauces for all my meats, also not a good look speaking of which, i popped into the bathrooms just to check it out, just in case...not so clean, and nearly not enough stalls for what this place is all about, which is meat. i wont go into any more details, but yea. soooooo expensive, like car payment territory, totally not getting my utility here. i think this is one of the worst parts of my experience, paying out the nose for mid tier experience. our server was nice, the gaucho were very infrequent and the offerings were lacking, at least they didn't run out of filet. also, i couldnt understand 75% of what they were saying, yes it was loud, but also im sure after 7 hours of walking around with a spear of meat, youd be over it too. maybe have a sign around your neck what your walking around with?? in close, not going back, i would recommend you consider this advice yourself if you dare to care. this was underdone read more

Got to be honest, not a big fan of this place. Really not about the food which I felt was very good, is just that on a busy day you just sit waiting for the servers to bring the meats. First you pay something like $55 for all you can eat, you can go to an area to get salad, rice, beans, bread etc, things to compliment your meats. The problem is you start eating, you run out of meat as you dint want to get a lot pieces (as you want to try the other and not get full), and then wait for the guys to come back. So in the mean time you are eating a bunch of non meat stuff, filling yourself up, with not enough people bringing meat out. Felt a bit like a sacm if you ask me, like we give you all these meat but won't be able to eat it because you will get full with non meat stuff. As someone who doesn't particularly like steak, I was skeptical about visiting Texas de Brazil. However, I had a great experience and I can't wait to go back! I typically eat chicken and the two chicken options in the all-you-can-eat selection were amazing. Each diner is given a coaster that you can flip to indicate you are ready for more meat, or if you need a break. When your coaster is green, there is no end to the amazing servers coming around with meat to slice off. The salad bar is also excellent and the fried banana was to die for. If you love meat, especially beef, this is definitely the place for you. I'm more of a chicken and fish eater but I'm still giving this place a 5 star review. Since I don't eat much beef or pork, I got the salad bar only which was more than enough food and I could take as many trips as I liked. I didn't need meat when I could get myself full off of the lobster bisque, eggs and bacon, shrimp, salad, smoked, salmon, scalloped potatoes, potato salad, veggies, sides, and many salad options. Waiters continually came to the tables with long skewers of meat, and the meat lovers at my table said everything was full of flavor. We loved that the manager walked around greeting everyone and saying happy Easter, and we asked him a few questions. It was really cool to learn how they slow roast the meats; and he gave us a tip that if you get takeout, the stakes are offered by the pound at a very reasonable price. The interior of the place is very beautiful. You definitely don't feel like you're in a mall restaurant. The Brazilian traditional drink capirihina was so refreshing! This definitely is a place to go when you want to splurge on a lot of calories, so save it for a special occasion. You even get free dessert if it's a birthday celebration. I had dinner with a friend whom I hadn't seen a while and we decided to eat at the bar and have the salad bar with an entree. The lobster bisque was fabulous as were the entrees however, we order 2 drinks at the bar because we had planned to sit at a table so I paid for the drinks.....$50+....outrageous for 2 nothing special drinks....after we finished up our dinner we split the bill and the bartender (who had no other guests) switched our cards and gave us each others bills. I realize I should have checked but she had no other guests so it didn't occur to either of us. I like taking people here on special occasions. The service is great and place is well lit. The tables are spaced out enough that it's comfortable. This place has a large salad bar with different items like cured meats, salad, grill/fresh vegetables and cheese. I always get the fresh asparagus with orange glaze and string beans. They also have a small hot bar that provides rice, soup and beans. Don't fill yourself up with the salad bar because there is a lot of meat the comes to the table. Each piece of meat comes hot and fresh and the waiter slice it up right in front of you. It keeps on coming until you flip the card to red. I always try to have a piece of everything. The filet mignon and the garlic picanha (top sirloin) are some of my favorite meat they serve. They also have delicious desserts. We tried their crème brûlée and it was creamy and not too sweet. The great thing about this place is that it has excellent service. We came in at 5:30 without a reservation, but the manager was very accommodating. We were seated immediately, even during their busiest hour. The appetizers and buffet items were delicious. Our waiter made sure we were well taken care of. He made sure to refill our bread, mashed potatoes,plantains as well as our water glasses constantly. This place is great if you're a meat eater. The meats were all so delicious and cooked to your liking. At one point, we asked one of the meat servers to bring us a different meat instead. I had purchased the VIP membership over the summer for $67 and wanted to use it by October 31st so I was able Ron apply the discount and we were able to eat for 1/2 price for each of our meals. The birthday girls choice was the key lime pie. They have like 5 other chooses including a banana foster which would have been my selection. Next time forsure. We went on a Sunday hoping to be early but it was still busy. Brazilian steak houses are a true dining experience. They bring around skewers of roasted meat to each table and slice you off some. It's always a favorite of my teenager and was his birthday treat. They serve you some simple sides to go with the meat choices but also have a full salad bar area with options such as rice, soups, meats and cheeses. We enjoyed tasting the varieties of meat options but flank steak was our favorite this time. Our server made sure everything was perfect and helped us get more of our favorites. It's not a cheap experience but a fun treat or special event meal. If your are in a rush this is not the place to eat if you want to try the different items. We love Texas de Brazil! The salad bar is delicious - be sure you don't fill up here!! The rice, beans and scalloped potatoes are so good and a great accompaniment to all the different salted meats that will be delivered to your table! It's expensive but worth it on a special occasion or date night out. Im not a huge 'buffet' type of person but this hits differently. Only thing I'm a little sad about is they no longer offer bacon wrapped jalapeños. Those were pretty much to die for! Just a note - the dessert is not part of the 'dinner price.'
