It's a nice restaurant but the energy in the place is very stressed - staff are running around seemingly like the place is on fire which makes it stressful when you're sitting trying to enjoy a nice meal. Service was okay at best. Some of the staff were difficult to understand with the loud music and hustle and bustle. They weren't very knowledgable about allergies. From what we were able to eat the food was good. However, we stated we liked our red medium and had only 1 guy come by with steak in an hour and a half. I would rate our experience a 3.5 if I were able to give a 1/2 star. We had a similar style restaurant we went to back in Fort Lauderdale where the bar was set very high for this type of restaurant. Having that as my comparison, I would have to say while the options were less for meats and the salad bar area, the two places were the same price which was a little disappointing. Also, I felt like I was in Europe paying $4.50 for a soda. That is probably the most I have paid at any restaurant in the U.S. Service was okay. No one rarely cleared our plates, refills weren't a priority, and I am used to being brought a fresh plate for meats opposed to having my dirty salad bar one or having to go to the salad bar myself to get one. I think my favorite thing about the experience was the Chimichurri sauce. The lamb chops were also really good, but they cost extra which is kind of crazy. This place looks great. The presentation of the food, especially at the salad bar, is top notch. The meats are mainly all great. The biggest complaint is about the service for a place like this. Oh yeah, you can't tip on your gift cards. TLDR for food, mix chimichuri with the orange vinaigrette that comes with the asparagus, To get seated, even when we were to get seated immediately, we were asked for our phone number just to instantly get a text that our table was ready. They constantly try to sell you on things but price is obfuscated. I didn't know my spring water was $8 nor that I was ordering a whole bottle with it. They have in text in the booklet they hand you that basically everything is extra, but it's never explained to you when you tell them you are first timers. The servers themselves, both the table server and the meat servers were delightful. When we noticed that we were consistently getting the same cuts of meat at our table, we notified our meat server and he made sure to send the other cuts on our side of the restaurant. It's great that they're so response, at the same time, it's terrible that you have to go out of your way to ask in the first place. My friend and I found our favorite cut late because we were served it so late, we were full by then. So talking about the food now. Let's start off with the salad bar. The salad bar is actually really good. We were happy with all the options that we tried there. The smoked salmon is exactly how you would want it, the lobster bisque cools really quickly so eat is fast or don't get too much. The chimichuri is good, the pineapple is amazing, the shrimp is alright. For the side items they bring to your table, everything was great. Fries could use a bit more seasoning but they were cooked just right. The mash potatoes were smooth and creamy, making the perfect sauce to dip your steaks in. The banana fosters were amazing but very sweet. The cheesey bread works well with the lobster bisque and potatoes. For the meats, the beste as the beef ribs. It was so tender that it split apart with a fork. The picanhas were next. Followed by the flank steak which due to the leanest was actually very refreshing. Well, here is an updated review since our first and last visit a year ago. Valentine's Day wknd this year we came with friends..I know our one and only visit a year ago was a little rocky so I was excited to update and give a better review... Welp..... We had a reservation and we got to the restaurant 20 mins early, so we went and sat at the bar to get a drink before dinner... 15 mins later when our table was ready, I waved at the bartender who never came to take a drink order and we walked to our table. Ben was our server and he was friendly but honestly not good at time mgmt.. he may have been new and we gave him the benefit of the doubt. He took our drink order and we told him we Needed a set of utensils.. So many gauchos came with such great tasting meat selections... and after a plate full of meat and no utensils for our guest.. we again asked and Ben brought it out right then. We were sat at 620pm, we ordered our drinks and we order a lamb chop special they had for Valentines wknd.. After about an hour and us filling up on the all the meat circulating around, we asked Seth, one of our Gauchos about checking on our lamb chops we ordered when we first arrived. He came back out and said they should be out shortly.. A few minutes later, Ben came and asked if we needed anything else.. I mentioned the lamb chops we originally ordered if they could now go in a to go container, he said of course... what temperature did you want them...? Uh what...? We told you temperature at 630 when we ordered them... Atmosphere had various families, couples, and friends..the music was nice but loud like a nightclub, slightly difficult to hold a conversation. So my take away... Food was great tasting, better than first visit a year ago... This location blew us AWAY! The food was outstanding, the service from Mindy and Mercedes was top notch! The food presentation, the service, and the additional items made dinner even better. We visited this location for my family's 40th Annual Family Reunion and we couldn't picked a better restaurant. Try all of the lamb options, the short ribs (are to die for), a pitcher of strawberry lemonade, and the shrimp! You won't regret visiting this location. Me and my husband come here once in a while. I wanted to take my friend out on a mom's night out. Our server was sweet, but we could barely hear her when she was talking. We were eating our salad and I ate a bit of my steaks. The server came up to us to see if everything was okay. As soon as she walked up she was standing right there at our table when my friend noticed a hair on her chicken. She literally sat there and pulled a hair that was wrapped around her chicken tight. How it got there who knows. Her hair was up. It was definitely not hers. The server told the manager Angel Flores. Who did not even come to our table to apologize or ask us if we needed anything. My friend immediately refused to pay. We had no appetite after that. We asked the server to have him come to our table. He asked if we needed another plate and he was aware about the hair. He said there's no way it could have been his kitchen staff because they wear hairnets. He could give 10% off but that's it. My friend refused to pay and he was such a jerk about it all. Does not have good customer service skills whatsoever . Let's just start with don't bother with this restaurant. It's in the mall: first mistake on our part. 2nd, don't go on Valentine's Day. We had reservations and my husband had to plow past a line going out the door that had zero reservations, which they should have a beeper for people to wait outside or somewhere other then clogging up the main stream area. 3rd, it was so packed that you were seated 6 inches from other people. 4th, horrible language. We had zero clue what the waitress was saying that they had to get another one that wasn't much better. 5th, they changed the salad bar area to cheap over seasoned slapped together sides. 6th, the meats, good lord, talk about hockey pucks! The only good meat was the sirloin. The only one they kept bringing around was sausage! You payed for the cheap meats. Then they start slapping mashed potatoes, French fries and buns to fill you up so you stopped eating the meats. Let's just say I ate maybe 2 oz of sirloin and had to ask and wait 40 minutes to even get that! 6th, the The cleaning person dropped 2 trays of plates, glasses behind me, not once but twice. Stuff flew everywhere. Then the person that was seating people dropped more glasses! At this point I was angry. How much glass and food/drinks went all over my clothes with no words said from them! 7th, $170 for a horrible service, meal and staff! They never brought us a drink, charged $18 for 1/4 fill wine and never brought the desserts around like we asked twice. Mind you, we've gone here before! We enjoyed it. We dined here for a birthday gathering--10 people in all. Our server was Jordan and he was very friendly, but we found his service to be somewhat lacking. After trying to sell us a bottle of wine, then pitcher of lemonade for the table, he didn't even ask for our drink orders. We finally got those in, but we were well into our meal before the drinks arrived. During the meal we kept having to look for him and to request more water or drink refills. He brought a single basket of 6 cheese rolls for a table of 10 and when asked about it he said there were "rules". Eventually we got more--and they were worth waiting for. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Haywood Mall, so parking is easy. It is a beautiful restaurant and the soup and salad bar is beautifully laid out. There are plentiful items to choose from. The gauchos were very attentive and kept coming and coming. I've been to this style restaurant before when the meat coming was excruciatingly slow. Not the case here! Not only were they coming frequently, but did an excellent job of remembering who at our table had what doneness preferences. We were very pleased. At the end of the meal our server just brought a bill for the whole table--never asked how it should be divided. Getting it broken up was a big embarrassing ordeal, and totally unnecessary. I ordered delivery of a pound of leg of lamb and received a bowl of gristle , fat , & the meat was rank - my feral cats would not even eat it. The only good thing was the 1/2 dozen cheese breads. Went to this restaurant for the experience more than food because my family of six aren't the biggest of eaters however, I picked this restaurant so we could sit quietly and enjoy a meal. The ambience is supposed to allow you to take time and enjoy different foods. When you fill up, you take a break, and you continue to chat and enjoy each other's company. It's pricey, but considering the amount of food you have access to, I thought it was worth a try. Not only are there up charges on dessert, there are additional charges for specific meats! I felt slightly rushed, it was noisy, and I didn't think the hot bar with its 3-4 offerings was enough. They gave a table of six a small dish of french fries, which was the size of my hand, and a few other sides that were very small. They charged $20 for a pitcher of flavored lemonade. All in all, I thought this restaurant was overpriced and the experience was not what I had expected. This place is really cool and was a great experience for my wife's birthday dinner. The staff was impeccable. It was like watching experts do their craft as they float around with really sharp knives, sawing off pieces of meat from table to table. The food was really good. I'm a good cook too, but you can't just buy this sort of stuff at the grocery store. So, it was great to get a meal I wouldn't or can't normally cook. I'd say that most of the meats were super good too. Some of it was a little too fatty for my liking, but it was neat getting to sample so many different things. Wow what a surprise! I expectes the wonderful ambiance and typical large portions. What surprised me was the quality of the food. Superb lobster bisque and salad bar/side options. The meats are over the top good. The beef, lamb and bacon wrapped chicken ate outstanding. They even have filet which was cooked perfectly and they were very generous with the amount of meat they gave put. Everything was beautiful, the inside of the restaurant absolutely beautiful and very clean, everyone who worked there looked very professional and clean. They had soup lobster bisque, Jasmine rice, Brazilian black beans, sautéed mushrooms. Everything was well put together. I had an amazing time and I will be back and I would recommend to all my friends and family. It's all you can eat for a flat price. They also have other meal options for vegetarians. Worst experience ever. Let me start by succinctly warning: 50$ per person base! So, my father bought some gift cards to this restaurant as a gift, because Costco was selling them. He didn't know any better; one phone call he would have learned it's 50$ per person, no matter what. So, tonight we tried the restaurant for the first time. In case you aren't aware, there is a salad bar, and a small hot bar with the "sides" which consisted tonight of jasmine rice, black beans, and the worst cheap wedding food potatoes au gratin I've ever eaten. So this is the way it works: You get your salad and such and eat it; then you get your "hot" sides and then flip an indicator coaster type cardboard to signal you are ready for the staff to start delivering the random skewers of meat as they pass your table. The frequency with which the servers came by was grossly insufficient. The quality of the meat was poor; large amounts of gristle. The taste was relatively bland, except for a few of the bacon wrapped items, which stood out because they were largely salty in taste. The cheapest meats seem to be making the rounds regularly, but the filet was mostly a dream. By the time anyone came around, my "sides" were cold. My mother commented (because the restaurant was packed) "they must really like meat." I said, mom, I love meat...but I wasn't eating it because it didn't taste good to me. We left the restaurant feeling cheated. 300$ for 5 people and I left hungry. The manager was there checking on tables, clearing some when needed, and seemed to be the only thing right with this restaurant. Our waitress was terrible, but I saw several who seemed to be attentive to their tables. And they don't have draft beer. I paid 7.75$ for a Modelo which was tepid. I grew up in Brazil and recently returned from there. My expectations are pretty high when it comes to Brazilian cuisine. This was mediocre. This was more Americanized. Picanha which is a staple, while tender lacked flavor and salt. Pork was dry. Linguiça had an odd flavor. Bananas were mushy and soggy. We were served more chicken and pork than beef. We actually had to ask for the picanha. Desserts were all American, no pudim, no mousse... they did make a good lemonade but not the traditional way. For the price, very disappointing. The waitstaff was very friendly so that's a great plus! Nice atmosphere, not too loud, nice decor. Just expected more of a Brazilian flair and taste which was lacking. read more

First, I have zero sympathy for anyone that says they didn't know any better about what to expect from TDB. This chain didn't rise from the ashes yesterday. It has been around for many years, along with others like Fogo de Chao, Sal & Carvao, Rodizio. Haven't been to one of those? Use the internet to learn something about where you're going to eat. It's called being an adult. As for this location, it's not good. The concept is supposed to be that you flip over to green and you get served a protein. Here, the colors mean little. Several times during the meal my table had 4 cards with red sides up and were approached by multiple gauchos. Made the experience feel rushed and forced. One possible reason we were rushed? The space is too small. If you've been to other TDBs or other churrascaria, you know the room is usually a large one so that the experience has a level of grandiose and the gauchos have space to move throughout the dining room. Not the case here. In a mall that is practically giving away square footage, TDB has placed a very small bet on themselves by buying a space that is smaller than any churrascaria I've been to. In a larger market where space is more expensive, that could be excused. But not in South Carolina, and certainly not in a traditional shopping mall. Either they need to buy more space and expand, or take 10 tables out of the dining room and charge more. read more
