The sausage was our favorite and we regularly tried to track the guy down for a second serving. The spicy filet was also excellent. Great drinks! And server was kind! I've been coming to this Texas de Brazil location at Dadeland Mall for years, both for business lunches and weekend visits. Their specialty is the continuous tableside service of a wide variety of grilled meats, which I genuinely enjoy, along with their fresh salad bar and overall business concept. This isn't my first visit, but I decided to lower my rating from previous reviews. Although my waitress was excellent (I tipped her well), the gauchos serving the meats were repeatedly approaching our table sometimes three or four at the same time and without noticing that we had our table tag flipped to red. It felt like either a lack of training or simple common sense. That said, I still recommend this restaurant for its consistent food quality and cleanliness. With some fine-tuning in service awareness, it could easily return to a 5-star experience. read more

Came to Texas de Brazil with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The cuts of meat were delicious and the servers were consistently offering either beef, pork, chicken or lamb. Where to begin...we haven't been to this location in years because everytime we'd gone, it was a bad experience. We thought we'd try again, hoping it would be better. It was not. The issue here is and always has been the service. Server disappears for lengths of time and gauchos that seem to just ignore your table. I thought it was just us but after reading some of the other reviews, it seems deliberate. $60+ per person to have to chase down gauchos and nag your server for meat is beyond ridiculous. Towards the end of the meal, gauchos stopped coming out altogether and instead were commiserating in front of the kitchen door like it was a water cooler in an office. My husband barely had any meat because of this and what little came out was not his preference or was very poor quality, even after flagging down the server to send more meat to the table. The icing on the cake was the manager who was observed at the front door/host stand the entire night, oblivious to the auto-pilot his restaurant was on. I was sure I wanted dessert when I had walked in but, after the awful service, was convinced to just pay and leave. Saturday night, 3/4 of the dining room was empty and it was obvious why. For an outstanding meal when on a low-carb diet you cannot beat Texas de Brazil. What looks like a pretty standard Brazilian churrascaria is so much more. This is a chain and I have found great variability from restaurant to restaurant but the one at the Dadeland mall really is outstanding. I love the rodizio style service, but at many Brazilian steakhouses you are often stuck with FOMO as we watch the best meats go to other tables and turn away those sausages and bacon wrapped chicken over and over again. Not so at this Texas to Brazil. The weight staff here is absolutely outstanding and they have an eye on how much you are enjoying your meal or not. If it appears that your plate is empty and you have that longing look on your face they come over and ask if they can get something special for you. Be at their delicious seasoned lamb chops or their exceptional beef rib, just ask and it appears. Sometimes they have none left and will prepare it fresh for you. The word no does not appear to be in their vocabulary as they seem to be committed to doing anything they can to make it perfect. I am not really a drinker, but I always start my meal here with one of their exceptional Caipirinha. I am not sure about authenticity when it is flavored, but I absolutely love the strawberry and the passionfruit varieties. Watch out though because if you're driving, these drinks are stronger than you would imagine so if you decide to have more than one make sure you have a designated driver or take an Uber home. Although the meats are the star of the show, I really do enjoy their fresh salads. Now these tables do vary both by location and compared to their competitors. What is consistent among all of the Texas de Brazil restaurants but is abundantly true at this one is the freshness of everything on the table. It was evident by how often they were replacing and enhancing the items that they wanted both the presentation and the flavor to be at the absolute peak. This is truly a highlight of the restaurant. What I don't like is the paucity of fruits. Some pineapples seem to be the only choice where other Brazilian churrascarias often have a wide variety, including some exotic fruits. However, as I am here mostly for the meats, the salad portion is exceptional and I even did enjoy the hot fish dish. But let's talk about the meats. This particular restaurant has an adequate number of. passadores walking around with skewers and platters of meat. You can choose between Picanha, Brazilian Sausage, Garlic Picanha, Barbecued Pork Ribs, Leg of Lamb, Lamb Chops, Filet Mignon, Flank Steak,Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon, Spicy Sirloin, Parmesan-Crusted Pork Loin, Filet Mignon Wrapped in Bacon, Parmesan Drumettes, Beef Ribs, and Lamb Picanha. In the 90 minutes plus that I sat there I never saw the filet mignon nor the, Barbecued pork rib ribs. I did find this a bit unusual as they are usually brought around. Neither is a favor of mine, but I usually do sample them. I will say that I did not try asking for them so they may have been available. My favorites are the beef rib and the leg of lamb. I also enjoy the Lamb chops. Bear in mind that you will usually have to ask for these three but they will bring them and they will serve you as much of them as you want. To me these are the pinnacle of meat, but I also love the standbys like the picanha and flank steak. I did find the garlic picanha today to be tough and almost inedible. Overall, I love this place. However, they do ask when you come in how you like your meat cooked and despite requesting medium rare, they continually came over to my table offering well done meats. I did find myself envious when I saw beautiful rare sirloin being served at the next table, but never being brought to mine only to have the well done come out and be asked if I would like it. The side dishes served our mashed potatoes, bananas, and cheese rolls. There are also some other sides like rice and beans available at the salad bar. The mashed potatoes were far too salty for my taste, but the cheese rolls were delicious. I recommend this restaurant for both. It's excellent service and high-quality food. Add some fruits to the salad bar and be more attentive to bringing the food cooked as asked for by the waiter and I would awarded five stars. read more

We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The ambiance was nice. The restaurant was not crowded but once we got our appetizers, and soup- which was good, they took a long time coming around with the meat well done for my friend. We kept asking for them to bring meat that was well done and for some reason it took a long time. Also, we asked for more lamb and they only brought it 2 times. They kept coming around with other meats but not the one we wanted. Our server was nice but not very attentive to our requests. She did bring water several times. We got attended maybe 8 times, which is not a lot for a table service restaurant. The salad bar was good, there was variety. The meat was so undercooked for my liking, like it was still bleeding. At the beginning the server asked us how we liked our meat cooked.... i think it was just out of courtesy because the meat was always severely undercooked. My review of this location's restaurant has little do with the food and more to do with the experience. The food is your typical Brazilian steakhouse quality food. It's nothing to write home about. They have a salad bar that features leaf-green based salad, obviously, different cold cut meats and cheeses, smoked salmon, a shrimp salad, assorted veggies, sauces and then a separate hot plate section with rice, beans, mushrooms and the soup of the day. The service members walk around offering different cuts of meat from chicken to steak to sausage. You are also given pão de queijo and Brazilian maduros at the table. The dinner service here can run you $80-$100 a person, and when you consider the price you're paying for the meal you would expect the service quality to match. However, at this Texas de Brazil the service no where lives up the price per person Texas de Brazil's dinner service charges. To start with, we had guests in our party who had never dined at Texas de Brazil before and were unfamiliar with the concept of how the dining experience works. Our servers changed at the start of our dinner, but neither the original nor the new server shared when or how to access the salad bar and other amenities or how the dining experience worked. Leaving me to explain to the table how everything worked. We were a table of 10 seated near the front of the restaurant and quite hard to miss, but it seemed we were looked over multiple times . We had two smaller parties of 2 -4 guest tables who were attended to more than we were and even after alerting our waitress to the lack of attention we were receiving it still took another steak server to alert the other meat servers to go back and serve our table. Our waters and original drinks were also hardly ever refilled and our old plates weren't cleared until the end of our dining experience. Even getting the check was a mission. Overall, the lack of meat we received went hand in hand with the lack of service we received and I sadly will not be recommending this specific Texas De Brazil with good faith and conscience to anyone. I would have rated this location one star if we are focusing on the service quality alone, but given that the food was prepared well, I'll award a second star. read more

Reason for rating: We asked many times for the short rib and lamb chops. The waiter comes with a meat which was already cut and underneath the bone - he told us it's "short rib" and served on our plates. This was no short rib and sneaky. Our friend was so disappointed and told the service team many times. Later they told us they have no short rib anymore. So we waited for the lamb chops. A waiter comes to our table and offered us meat as "lamb chops". This meat was completely different and without bones.. After asking again they brought us fresh chops.. finally. We had an amazing time at Texas de Brazil in Dadeland Mall! If you're a carnivore and are absolutely starving after a day of walking around, this is the place for you! This is your traditional "rodizo" experience, but slightly elevated with the quality of meat and sides available. For $57.99/per person, it is an all-you-can-eat experience! We enjoyed what the salad and hot bars had to offer. I snacked a little bit on the couscous salad, smoked salmon, and salami while my fiancée enjoyed the various cheeses and lobster bisque. We did not want to fill up on those items so we kept our nibbling of non-meat items to a minimum. We got to try practically every meat: picanha, Brazilian sausage, leg of lamb, bacon-wrapped chicken breast, filet mignon, churrasco, and several others. Our waitress was extremely gracious with explaining the menu to us and bringing our sides that would complement the meal, such as garlic mashed potatoes and sweet fried bananas, sweetened with cinnamon sugar (I had about 3 orders of these)! The meat carvers came to our table with regular frequency, so we certainly felt like we got our money's worth. Out of all the meats, we agreed that the standouts were the lamb (extremely tender, melt-in-your-mouth), the churrasco (tasted the best out of the bunch, especially with chimichurri), and my personal favorite, the spicy picahna! The spicy picanha is Texas de Brazil's traditional sirloin medallions cooked in an in-house spice rub. It gives the meat an orange-ish complexion and a pretty spicy taste-- definitely includes cayenne pepper and old bay seasoning somewhere in the mix! This place is actually quite good... it is well located at the dadeland mall and it is spacious. The restaurant is clean so no worries there! On the service aide, it was quite good and no issues there. The meat is good as most texas de Brazil restaurants and for me, same issue... they are slow at points.... salad bar is very good. Only complaint, this restaurant is not on the cheap side and their soft drinks come in tiny sizes, so there you have to spend a good amount of money as well. Texas de Brazil is always a good choice whether you're coming for lunch or dinner. If you haven't already been here, you have the choice of eating from the salad bar and if you want to eat meat, they'll serve you meat. You have all these waiters coming around with different meats. If you're choosing to eat meat, you'll have a little flip card with one side that's green and the other side that's red. If the waiter sees green, they will keep offering you meat. If they see red, they'll know to stop. Personally, I'm okay with just eating from the salad bar. There's also soups, rice, sushi, even fish, mushrooms and much more. The food is so delicious. All the food is always so organized and fresh. My favorite part of it all is their Brazilian Cheese Bread! It's amazing. You must try it if you haven't. Although I don't have photos of it, but if you choose to eat meat, they give you steamed bananas with sugar, which are supposed to clean your tongue palate so that you may try the flavor of the next meat.
