Poor Customer Service. Girl with long hair and glasses was so rude. My kids and I were ordering and she kept on rushing us. Great little market! It's always great to find little hidden gems when you live in Miami. This is definitely a great one to add to my addition. I am a fan of their restaurants but more recently I went to this location which is a market. I purchased one of their cakes and it was very delicious. I got the "Chaja" cake which I was told is a traditional Uruguayan cake. I must say it was unique and special compared to other usual cakes. It was light and airy, fruity and sweet but not overly sweet. Delicious ingredients like peached, dulce de leche, meringue and cream. I was very happy with both the cake and the service. I have a tendency to be a creature of habit... when I find something I like I'll eat it over and over again until I'm forced out of my comfort zone and into a new one. This has become my latest go-to spot for lunch. A friend recommended it as a butcher shop (which I have yet to try) and she mentioned they also have great lunch specials. She was spot on! I've fallen in love with their churrasco sandwich special and I haven't been able to stop craving it since. For $7 you'll get a perfectly cooked strip of meat on a freshly baked and toasted baguette with lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, and papitas (piknik fries). My friends have had the grilled chicken special and the steak special and they both raved about their meals. The service is quick and the food is delicious. You can't beat that! First, the bad news: you can't drink the beer n wine they sell with your meal. Boo. Second, parking sucks, BUT, you can park across the street at Wiwi transmissions (if they're closed). Yes it's a blood sausage, so what? Get over it. If u have cash you pay outside. If you don't, the cashier will write up your order, you go inside to pay then you go back outside n get your food. I am a sucker for these small mom and pop places , and don Domingo did not disappoint ! From when you come in, the staff goes out of their way to treat you like family . I witnessed a staff being so nice and friendly to an elderly lady, and it automatically won big brownie points. As previously stated in other comments , it' looks like a gas station inside , they have a variety of Argentinian wines to choose from. They have a bakery side , and a meats side. I came for one thing , and that was the Pan con Churrasco. Of course offers with chimichurri and home made hot sauce ( another brownie point) , the steak was absolutely delicious and mouth watering. Ended up hanging with a friend who goes to FIU and realized this place was near the campus. The first time I came here (on a Saturday), the outdoor portion is open. Large open flame grills with every type of meat you can imagine are cooking. The line structure is designed for one to walk up to the griller, point at/indicate an order, watch someone package the food behind a wooden table, go inside the shop to complete the payment, and then collect the food from outside using the receipt of payment. A little more complex than what I first expected, but trust me - IT'S WORTH IT! The meat is grilled homestyle and tastes fresh. The second time I visited (on a Wednesday evening), only the cafe portion is open inside. You tell the person/cashier inside what you'd like and they convey the order to a cook inside. The menu is a little scattered, as the pictures hanging on the wall have numbers but aren't titled (and the numbers don't correspond to anything on the take-out menu)... Ended up paying $32 for a parilla para dos. This meat platter far exceeded my expectations. Traditional pork sausage and blood sausage were easily the best items. The chicken was somewhat plain, and the churrasco steak was annoyingly chewy. Definitely consult the spicy chimichurri sauce for necessary flavor corrections. The dish was accompanied by two sides (I opted for mashed potatoes and vegetables), and the amount of meat was beyond enough for 4 people! The cafe also sells a splendid variety of pastries such as cake rolls, empanadas, and more. Didn't get a chance to try it, but the cuban coffee (coladas, cafe con leche, etc.) looked stellar! I wish there was more of a restaurant feel inside (as opposed to an awkwardly located cafe in a grocery shop). Despite the venue's atmospheric challenges, the service is good and the food terrific! Coming into the restaurant I was greeted by its interesting setup. It looked more like a mini grocery store with some tables and chairs. My dad and I don't really speak Spanish well but, it wasn't so much an issue since most of their in-house/to-go menu items are order by number. I merely ordered my food by the images hung up on their wall. I found out that I had ordered a vocia with with a side of rice and spiced potatoes, or known as #17. The quality of the meat was excellent. I ordered it medium and it was tender and flavorful. The spicy chimichurri provided an extra kick to the quality cut. My name is Jonathan, and I'm a meataholic. I've really tried to cut down on how much of it I consume. I try to stay away from places that are meat-centric but I've driven by Don Domingo at least 3 times a week for 3 years and always wondered what they had to offer. I finally walked in and wanted everything I saw. I went for lunch on a rainy Wednesday not really knowing what to expect. The place is really clean and is a market/deli/bakery/butcher shop. I saw that they were offering a cut called Picaña as a special that day and decided to try that with a salad and mash (because sides don't matter when there's delicious meat to be had.) The lady that was attending brought me a hot roll and butter while I waited and my meal came shortly after. It looked and smelled good but as soon as I took my first bite I realized that something was wrong. She didn't ask me how I liked my meat cooked. I normally ask for medium but it was well-done. It was a fine example of a well-done slab of meat but I like mine bloody as hell. Oh well. It was still a great tasting cut and the chimichurri was excellent. I got passed it and enjoyed my meal enough to tell my wife about it later that day. Then I went back for dinner with her. Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. I was still pretty full (read: stuffed) from lunch so I went with a choripan. I was underwhelmed when it came because it was just the chorizo in a roll and nothing else. I guess I was expecting some onions and peppers but this thing was plain as can be. Then I took a bite and it gave me a backhand slap to the face for questioning it. Awesome flavor! I added some spicy sauce and tore into it like a zombie that just got a hold of its first piece of beautiful flesh in months. I do want to mention that this one of the few places where they don't have a gratuity line on their credit card receipts! Hooray! You should take some cash for tips if you're going to eat in and expect to be waited on. I also noticed that every person that came in picked up empanadas so I have to assume that they are good. Stumbled upon this little Argentinian jewel on my latest quest for some strong cafesito. I had never noticed this place before, but I'm glad I finally realized it was so close to me. I can never get enough of those delicious Argentinian empanadas, and this place has the typical fluffy baked goodness. We discovered Don Domingo through a family member. A friend referred her to it, so word gets around. The "Migas" are great and the serving is large enough for two. We usually buy 2 Migas Mixtas and 1 ham/cheese to share between 4 people. Migas are our favorite beach/boating lunch food! Also the 'chorizos' are the best we have had. We buy them and grill them at home. Perfectly crafted, meaty and seasoned just right with herbs and spices. They come in small or regular size, and either spicy or not spicy. We opt for regular size and not spicy. I haven't purchased meat here, but they do have many cuts available for sale; prices seem great. They also have a bakery (breads, pastries, cakes). I'll try to taste on a future visit... Finally, the venue is very clean and well run. The staff is attentive and makes sure your order is perfect. This is a hidden gem and one of my new favorite spots in Miami (even though it's been here for years). Everything I've had I've enjoyed. On the weekends, they have a no frills grill on the outside of the store where they serve up churrasco and chorizo sandwiches, ribs, pinchos and other delectables. Thus far, I've tried both the choripan and the churrasco sandwich, as well as the beef ribs, picana and vacio. I've also had the morcillas. I've enjoyed every one. You can also purchase some of the potato salad as a delicious side. Their homemade chimichurri, in both standard and spicy variety, are great toppings and are bottled if you want to take some home. But don't overlook the inside of the store. They have excellent home-baked goods and fresh meats for purchase. I've bought mollejas (sweetbreads), morcillas and churrasco to grill at home. Though the morcillas (blood sausages) are frozen, they do make their own chorizo in-house. This place is definitely worth patronizing. Give it a try and you'll see for yourself. read more
