First of all, the people were fabulous. A wonderful hostess. We were seated right away; however, it was a weekday evening; so I would have expected this. An amazing server, who we didn't even know was new. She absolutely pampered us and was terrifically kind and delightful. The food was just less than excellent. The lobster tail was okay, nothing special. My friend had the Cantonese-style salmon, which was very good. My partner's filet mignon was okay. The prices did not justify the meals, as everything is a la carte and hella expensive. The bill, before tip, was $256 for three of us. My biggest complaint was that there are absolutely no vegan entrees, salads, or soups. The only two vegan dish is a side dish of sauteed mushrooms. I really do not like giving bad reviews, the food itself is 5 stars, but the service and employees were 1 star at best. I came with a party of 9, we ordered a few appetizers for the table, most of the party ordered drinks and we all got a meal. My filet and mashed potatoes were great, everything was perfectly seasoned, we also got the asparagus with hollandaise sauce (we ended up asking for more sauce since there wasn't much on the asparagus, but we weren't charged for it.). Onto the service, our waitress Alicia seemed like she just didn't want to be there. She spilled my glass of water all over the table cloth and the seat and didn't completely clean it up. The tablecloth, that was now soaking wet, was not replaced, so I had to sit in a wet booth and put a napkin on my lap as to not get my legs wet. To top it off, she didn't even refill my drink, it wasn't until I asked, that I got more water. Once our food was brought to our table, another staff member was helping to bring the food out and she snapped at him very rudely in front of the whole table. To make matters worse, we went to the front to ask that the music be turned down because it was very loud and we had someone hard of hearing at our table who wasn't able to hear anyone. The girl acted like she cared, but once we walked away, quickly went over and was obviously talking about us to a co-worker and the music got louder. Overall, it was a terrible experience from a service standpoint, especially for a fine dining establishment. At those prices, I expected a lot better, as did the rest of our party. Disappointed We made reservations for our anniversary. We requested a seat with a view they greeted us and took us to that table with a nice view of Tacoma. Our reservations were at 7pm. Our server was great! However, whomever placed the other our meal came out is where everything went down hill. Meal came out at 8:30 and my plate was a pile of dry salmon and frowning vegetables. The manager on shift manager went to two tables apologizing for the delay but never once said anything to us.. Those guest came after us. Hello, I'm writing to share feedback about a recent dining experience at Stanley and Seaforts that was unfortunately disappointing. I've always said one of the best meals I've ever had was at your restaurant, which is why I was so excited to bring my boyfriend of five years--who was born and raised in Tacoma but had never been--to finally experience it. We made a reservation and looked forward to it all week as a special way to kick off our weekend. I had been especially looking forward to favorites like the key lime pie and a great steak. Given the cost of dining out these days, this was meant to be a real treat for us. However, the experience did not meet the high standard I've always associated with Stanley and Seafort's. We arrived for our reservation, and it was pretty busy. The hostess was very friendly and said she would be able to put us at a window seat. I noticed the patio and asked if we could sit out there. Such a nice day! View was beautiful. She said sure go on out through the lounge door. It was locked. The waitress working in the lounge area said it wasn't open and the hostess didn't know. She seemed irritated to have more tables was my thought. I went back to the other hostess, and she said she would grab the keys and be right back. We stood off to the side while she seated a number of other tables, never came back or communicated with us. I went back to the hostess stand again and the friendlier hostess that initially greeted us went and got the keys and let us out there right away. Our server McKenzie was very nice, and I had no complaints there. I understand she doesn't have control over the kitchen. We ordered 2 appetizers and a glass of wine and wanted to enjoy those before we ordered our entrees. Server left and came back after a few minutes and said there were 2 large parties that were sat and that we would need to order now and if we minded if our clam chowders arrived before our apps. We felt like we didn't have another option. My thought was, why should we be treated differently and rushed because of the larger tables? We ordered. We each ordered the 3-course meal. My partner ordered rare and I ordered medium rare. The waitress showed us her card to give us a visual and that is not what we received. My steak was overcooked, tough, and roughly cut up with gravy. That was NOT what the menu described. I felt like it was a steak that was sent back, and they poured gravy over it and sliced it up to hide the doneness? I don't know. Carrots were dry and burnt on the ends (black.) The mashed potatoes were very good. We enjoyed the 2 appetizers and the bread. During our meal, the waitress informed us there was no key lime pie left. Ugh. We enjoyed the creme brulee' and the bread pudding but, it wasn't the key lime pie we were looking forward to! I really, really regret my choice to go there. I did not eat my steak or vegetables, but my dogs seemed pleased with it. Compared to other fine steakhouses we've visited, it felt noticeably below par, which was disappointing considering our expectations and past experiences. I'm really bothered and upset because it's not right. I wanted to share this feedback because I've always held your restaurant in such high regard, and I hope this was an exception rather than the norm. Given the circumstances and the significant gap between expectations and the actual experience, I would appreciate if you would consider some form of compensation, whether that be a refund, partial credit, or a future dining credit. I believe that would be a fair resolution considering the quality of the meal and overall experience. Had an industry event here. The decor is a bit dated. The clam chowder was rich and clammy but a tad under-salted, rare for soup. The Dijon crusted chicken was ok. The horseradish sauce was an odd pairing for it, I would have preferred something bright and zippy like a ketchup or bbq sauce. Service was good. This is a belated post. We dined there Xmas Eve dinner (2025) after having a wonderful time at Thanksgiving and had a complete 180 in experience. Thanksgiving: $58/person for filet mignon, seafood trio, and surf and turf options. Food came out hot and delicious. Steaming clam chowder, tender cuts of steak, moist salmon, succulent shrimp. Christmas: $67 for the same options. They grilled everything to the point where the asparagus spears were completely blackened and charred--HOW do you send food out like that? The salmon was dry, the shrimp was tough. Even the mashed potatoes that were so creamy and delicious at Thanksgiving were hard and lumpy. Exact same dishes. Pricier, and worse tasting. We did alert our server of the asparagus and she brought more out that were in better shape but for a fine dining restaurant to charge the prices they do and bring out the food they did, was a complete abomination. Oh, and the glassware and silverware were not clean. I had a lipstick smudge on my water glass and residue on my knife and spoon. It was very off putting. Saving grace was dessert and our excellent server but not sure we'll be back after that disaster of a meal. read more

This is ostensibly a classy restaurant, but the last few times I've been here, it seems they've classed-down a bit, possibly to broaden their demographic, while maintaining the classy prices. The food is tasty though. Stepping into the lobby and taking in the dark wood interior, fireplace, and scenic floor-to-ceiling Tacoma vista, you'd expect a place like this to be quietly playing soft jazz on top of the sounds of silverware gently clinking. Instead, it's loud. There are sports and news on a TV, pop music playing, and with the kitchen awkwardly jutting out into the main corridor between the bar and the dining lounge, the atmosphere's a little frantic. My most recent visit was to celebrate an anniversary, and I requested a window seat in the reservation I'd placed earlier. We ended up seated two rows back, up against the split-level dining room wall. We know they saw the reservation note, because they congratulated us on the anniversary. Maybe that entire level is considered "window seat," but we had to stare directly through other patrons in order to see the city. Patrons can be rowdy and crass, with no apparent sense of decorum or dress code. One group next to us were loudly swearing and discussing inappropriate topics. The table on the other side of the split-level wall was a large wedding party providing most of the ambient noise. Our server was friendly and attentive, but far more informal than I'd expect at a restaurant like this. She needed me to repeatedly show her the menu online, talked with other patrons about what she was going to smoke on her break, and came back smelling like it. I ordered the $49 3-course meal special, which is on their website, but not their in-house menu. She took my order for the appetizer and entree, but said we should wait on the dessert. When dessert came, I asked for the creme brûlée, and she said that the wedding party had taken the last one. I wonder if that could've been avoided if I'd placed my entire order upfront? There was also confusion regarding what was actually on offer: the website said it included the 8oz Wagyu steak, but that seemed to be a mistake as they didn't even have a button in it (they have since removed the option). To their credit, they honored the website, even though she ended up putting the pork on the check. Without the Waygu option, the meal deal isn't much of a value. But then the medium-rare steak was served raw. I love a pink steak, but even my partner was not comfortable with me eating this. The server grabbed a manager, who confirmed that it was not medium-rare, and they fixed the problem. That said, the food was delicious, and my partner enjoyed her pan-seared scallops & shrimp as well. We came because we wanted to splurge on a nice experience. For $170, we got an experience that could be replicated at BJ's for $60. read more

This was our second time visiting this place while visiting from out of town. Our first experience was much better overall -- the food and the service was fantastic which is what prompted a return visit for a birthday celebration while in town again. The food this time was good as well, but wasn't as great as the first time (I even ordered the same thing because I loved it so much). The service this time was slow and we even paid and got up to leave before they brought out a surprise dessert (which was a nice treat). The booth was nice and big and you get a view of downtown Tacoma port. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. I think this place is a good pick overall for a nice dinner based on our two experiences so far. read more

GAH, my heart always sinks leaving a poor review. AND.. just because I didn't have a good experience -- that doesn't mean you won't. Maybe this review will help the restaurant level up and give you AWESOME BLOSSOM SERVICE! So, try this iconic place and see if you disagree with my review. First, my husband told me this place is just BEAUTIFUL and old school iconic -- and so I drove 1.5 hours in bad traffic to try it. He was right. Stunning views. However, a beautiful sunset stunning view does not make a steak cooked right. Second, we are low maintenance, happy, cheerful customers with loads of patience. We came to celebrate my dear friends BIRTHDAY. We sat on the patio. The waitress had a messy table, that was in the perfect half shade half sun ratio, cleaned up for us ASAP. The bee's loved us and the obnoxious whiskey drinking ladies next to us were CRAZY loud -- talking literally loud about NOTHING AT ALL! Like, the LINT on their shirt. Cat hair. Running their car on low oil. OMG... let me die or move inside. We moved inside. They were so loud, we could not even here our own conversation. GAH -- not the restaurants fault at all. Idea... maybe move the tables a little bit away from one another ... or get more umbrellas so there are more patio choices for perfect sun/shade rations. Just an upgraded thought : ) BTW -- Justine, our server was AWESOME... and she was obviously very busy, but handled her overload of tables with grace, joy and composure. She attended to us with perfect timing. SHE gets a 5 star rating. The bartender, was SLOW and the table next to us, complained about how long it took to get their drinks, and they knew we ordered way before them, and we hadn't gotten ours yet either. We ordered a dirty martini and an ice tea. That bartender must have been very busy with other orders... he might need back up. IDK... but way too long to sit outside with no drinks... we did have Justine's water to sip on however so we weren't complaining. The ambiance is straight out of the 80's, carpets included. This is a traditional step back in time and it's charming in that old school kind of way. Ok... the food. My birthday guest said her seafood plate was delicious. It looked perfectly cooked, not over done. We asked for double veggies instead of potatoes... and they kindly gave us the mushrooms without charging us the usual $4.00 fee. THANK YOU Chef! I asked for my steak to be VERY RARE.... as rare as you can legally make it. She said, "Medium rare?" I said, "sure, but ON THE RARE side, not the medium side!" I could not believe it when I cut into it and it was -- not kidding --- WELL DONE! I have not been to a steak house, where they cook a rare steak order well done. Ever. However, I frequent fairly high quality steak houses. I was so disappointed. I didn't return it because I didn't want my birthday girl to feel like it was a bad night -- we already had the Whiskey women working hard to ruin our bday celebration -- so I cheerfully ate my food. My friend grew up eating at this place and it's one reason why I drove so far to make it a super nostalgic night and take her there. The martini -- ugh, this was a flat out nope! I asked for it dirty and it was filthy -- way way too much olive juice! Again, sucked it down. It was painful. I ordered another -- and asked for it to not be as dirty. That one was much better. Again, didn't want to send it back, as I didn't want to be a rain cloud on my friend's bday -- so I faked the enjoyment. (She won't read this review I am positive!) Our own company made up for the negative experience. We could dig a ditch and have fun. It really didn't matter if we were at Jack in the Box. Our evening was fun and the VIEW was gorgeous and inspiring. We brought our own good time. It was just expensive to have this experience. Next time, I will probably go to a Seattle steakhouse, El Gaucho etc... or... if I do come back I will get the seafood. Gosh, so bummed out. I had high expectations -- and it was a total miss. BTW, this was a Sunday night -- with lots of big parties and I could see people dressed up and planned a nice evening here. I hope this motivates them to try a bit harder, not give up. You will see I rarely give a bad review... I don't go to establishments that aren't quality -- so it's unfortunate to even write this, but I have to be honest. It's a cute date night restaurant, ambiance is amazing, service is great but to be honest I wasn't too impressed by the food. I really wanted to be but I felt I've had so much better. Especially if we're paying $150 bucks I just expected more? Again nothing against the service or ambiance. Maybe I need to try some of their other options but we had the coconut prawns which I felt lacked flavor unless I dipped it in the sauce it came with, and then my crab & shrimp fettuccine was okay, I felt that my home made fettuccine sauce is better? Wasn't expecting to see as many small children as we did on a Friday night. We were there as a break from our littles, it made me miss them. Lovely view. I was pretty cold by the window even wearing a sweater. All the more reason to drink more I suppose. Waiter was helpful with my questions and stayed out of the way when we didn't need him around. I quite enjoyed the chicken dijon on their recommendation. We took dessert to go . Cheesecake out of a box at home is never as good as on a plate dressed up the way it's intended. read more

We had reservations for Mother's Day at 12:30 PM. I received no less than three calls and/or email messages confirming we would actually be there for lunch. We arrived early, and were seated at about our reservation time. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. So far so good. I had the 12oz prime rib. Our guest had the seafood with scallops. My wife had sirloin and shrimp. For the salad/appetizer I had the lobster bisque. The ladies each had the Caesar salad. The prime rib was supposed to be medium, but had zero pink and about 4oz of a big slab of fat on the end. It was a bit tough. The knife given to me probably would not cut butter as there were no serrations left on the blade. I would say the cut of beef was choice at the most, still a bit tough when I asked for a knife that would cut the meat. My lobster bisque had very little lobster in it. I finally found a couple of small pieces at the bottom of the bowl. The Caesar salads had little to no flavor according to the ladies. The scallops appeared to be breaded and were well overcooked. The shrimp on my wife's plate were overcooked and tough. So much for the not so good stuff.... Our Yukon gold potato mash servings were good. My wife's sirloin steak was well seasoned and perfectly cooked for her. The best part of our meals were the deserts. Cheese cake, Key Lime pie, and the cream boule. The business was very busy and the staff members were working hard. The view today was as exceptional as we remembered from previous visits. Two of us are mobility impaired. I only saw one DP parking spot at the entrance drive up area. There were none in the parking garage. The garage is under the business. There was no elevator for those who are mobility impaired. There may have been parking across the street, but I had not paid attention to that lot when we drove up from the east. I had to take the steps one at a time, using the hand rail, hanging my cane from my opposite arm. I would give the food today two stars, and the service four stars. With that I settled on three stars for the overall experience. No, I did not complain about the food today to the staff, just asked for a knife that would actually cut the "prime rib". I did not find out about how the ladies felt until we were in the car leaving. We should have gone to "Texas Roadhouse" on Joint Base Lewis McChord. My wife and I had great steaks there on Monday. I wanted to take the ladies someplace very special for Mother's Day, thus the reservations a this establishment. Enough said! read more

Haven't been to Stanley & Seafort's since 2019, so a review update is definitely in order. Tacoma Restaurant Week is what brought us in, with their $45 dinner menu! For $45 you can get either a caesar salad or clam chowder appetizer, for entrees the choices are crab & shrimp carbonara, prime rib, pork chop, or honey peppercorn salmon. You also get the choice of key lime pie or creme brulee for dessert - all for $45 per person! Such a steal. I got the clam chowder to start and it was tasty. From the main menu we got the Tasting Sampler which I recommend a millliooon percent. It's spendy at $37 but it's worth it if you're splitting it with multiple people. It comes with their crab & artichoke dip, teriyaki steak bites over rice, and butterfly shrimp. We all agreed that the dip was PHENOMENAL. The steak bites were also tasty, as were the shrimp. The table unanimously chose the shrimp & crab carbonara as our entrees. While we were waiting the waitress let us know they ran out of the correct type of noodles to make it so they were going to make it a fettuccine instead which we didn't mind. The dish overall was good, but there were discrepancies. My dad and sister both had crab shell in their dishes, and the crab was SCARCE for everyone. On top of that, the portion sizes were all over the place. My sister and I got a big helping and my dad got like half of what we did, so that was weird. Dessert time came and they had run out of key lime pie so we went with the creme brulee which was also tasty. The service here was crazy kind from the check-in point to the waitress at our table but the wait time was freaking INSANE. From the time we sat down to the time we left, we were there for literally over two hours. After our appetizers were served, we didn't get the next dish for about 40 minutes and I wish that was an exaggeration. Stanley & Seafort's has always been an iconic spot in the Tacoma area so I know I'll be back, I just don't think they were 100% prepared for Tacoma Restaurant Week like they could've been. The food was great, especially the salmon, scallops, and prime rib. The crumble was excellent dessert. The staffs were very friendly, and the whole dining experience was wonderful. I guess I eat pretty cleanly and don't ingest excessive amounts of salt, fat, or sugar. After eating here on Wednesday, it is Saturday and I still feel sick from all the salt, fat and sugar. I had 2 NA beverages, lobster bisque, garlic bread, heirloom tomato salad and some almond crusted scallops. The almond crusted scallops were not good. It's like they were poached in butter inside the almond crust not what I was expecting not healthy. The mashed potatoes were way too salty. The asparagus was boiled? and most of the asparagus were cut up stalks. If you come here, I would recommend not eating that much of the food. I regret it. I don't want to come back. I still feel awful. The views are great. Service is awesome. Cannot recommend the food. read more

Which was nice.very good tasting and rich creamy sauce. However my husband got the prime rib. That was not so good. He likes meats well done, blah but the meat imwas touch and so bland. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, and it had a great view of Tacoma. Our waitress was great. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not match up with the price. We got the crab and artichoke dip for an appetizer ($18). Like many restaurants, they don't give you enough bread, but our waitress brought over more without any issue. The salads ($10-$12) were satisfactory; nothing eventful there. The Australian lobster tail with fingerling potatoes and asparagus ($57), however, is where things went downhill. The presentation alone is enough to scoff at, but the flavors were also disappointing. The lobster was good, but they might as well have had that been the only thing on the plate. My family have loved Stanley & Seafort's and have celebrated many special occasions there over the years. Tonight's wasn't as special as I would have hoped. A lot of what I'm going to mention isn't a big deal, but all of it together added up to less than what I would have hoped for. We recently had dinner at Stanley's for a special occasion and, unfortunately, it was a pretty mixed experience. Right off the bat, we waited about 15-20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Not the end of the world, but when they sat us, we were told they couldn't use a high chair at that table and that there weren't any other tables available. We have a two-year-old, and while they offered a booster seat instead, it wasn't a safe or practical substitute for her. I tried to make it work, but quickly realized I was going to spend the entire meal using one arm to keep her seated and safe. When I asked again about a high chair, I was told it still wasn't possible at that table, but now they could move us to a different (and honestly better) table where a high chair could be used. After that, little things just kept adding up. There was a long wait for drinks, another wait before our orders were taken, and my dad had to ask three times for butter for the bread basket. The food itself was good. Their prime rib is always excellent, and I enjoyed my black cod, though the couscous wasn't particularly memorable. What gave me pause was when our server specifically asked my husband how the temperature of his meal was. At the time I thought it was an unusual question, but later he told me the food was actually close to room temperature when it arrived. We ordered dessert, and my dad really enjoyed the bread pudding. My husband liked the molten lava cake, but when I tried a bite, it wasn't warm, which feels like the whole point of a molten lava cake. We also ordered cappuccinos with dessert, and they never arrived. I'm not saying Stanley's is a bad restaurant. In fact, that's why I'm taking the time to write this. If this had been a chain restaurant, I probably wouldn't bother. But when you're paying for a nicer dining experience, I think it's reasonable to expect attentive service, accommodations for young children, and food that arrives at the proper temperature. I understand they were busy, and there was a large party happening that evening. Still, we were paying customers too. We don't get to splurge on meals like this very often, and the overall experience felt like a bit of a letdown. read more

During Christmas we received a gift card and decided we would use it and check this place out. We have driven past here for years and always wanted to experience dinning here. Upon entering we were quickly greeted and we only waited 10 minutes in their cozy seating area. You notice the view right away. The restaurant overlooks Tacoma. Food and drink options all sounded amazing and it was very hard to pick. Our waitress was very friendly and gave great service during our visit. We didn't wait long for food to arrive. First bite was unforgettable. I was suppose to share with my husband but quickly determined that was not going to happen. My king salmon(not pictured because picture came out blurry and I was in a rush to eat) was perfectly cooked and the flavors I had never tasted before in salmon. My husband enjoyed his lobster bisque and his fettuccini as well. Desert was spectacular. Just the right portion. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or for a fancy occasion, either way it will be worth every penny. Prices are reasonable in my opinion. We will be back! read more

First time dining there but not the last. Everything was excellent including the service, ambiance and food.

We went for Father's Day and felt rushed through dinner. For instance, they brought out the second course before we'd finished our starters. The servers simply took the starters off the table to make room for the main course. The food itself was fine, but nothing remarkably delicious or unique. The prime rib was more fat than meat, which was disappointing. The setting is the restaurant's selling point - a beautiful view of the Port of Tacoma and downtown. To sum it up , it had been a long time since our previous visit to S&S, and it will probably be a long time before we go again. read more

My favorite restaurant for date night or special occasions. The food gives a fine dining feel without the stuffy experience. The staff have always been very friendly and efficient. The view is what makes the restaurant of course with a beautiful look out at Tacoma. The only downside is the parking situation. Expect it to be a tight fit in the parking lot below the restaurant. read more

Took the family for a view and dinner. Wait staff was awesome considering it was busy but the wait for our order was nearly an hour long and my medium steak came back mooing. Couldn't eat it and wouldn't wait for another. It was the only thing I was looking forward to. We were here about 6 years ago because the service was horrible now the food I came out wrong. A $180.00 Uber Eats order and we live a few blocks away. I ordered the 16 oz Prime Rib and requested it to be Medium-Rare. Instead, they gave me Well-Done. Also, the Coconut Shrimp was over cooked. This is only our second try for this place. We will order again but just not their steaks. The rest of the food we ordered was good. We will give this place another chance. read more

Four of us ate there yesterday afternoon (Saturday, May 24, 2026) at 5 p.m. I personally have been going there since 1975 (when the Chateaubriand was $25!). When my wife and I arrived, we were immediately greeted and taken to our table, where we found our friends already there. As soon as we were seated, our waiter (I think his name was Cory) came right over. He asked us if we'd been there before (well, yeah, and quite often for our wedding anniversaries). We ordered drinks with a slight alteration on the Bloody Mary and my gin martini. The ladies ordered Cosmos. They came fairly quickly. Then he took our orders. We all opted for the three-course special with two of us ordered the steak and two ordered the shrimp. He came back and checked on drinks, and I ordered the driest Cabernet they had. He knew the brand by name, and it was lip-puckering good. The food came and the steaks were perfectly cooked. The two people who ordered the shrimp were also pleased. Next, we had dessert. Three had the homemade key lime pie, and the servings were HUGE. Cory was extremely attentive throughout the course of the meal. I have never been let down by this restaurant. One thing I would like to mention, though, is perhaps the restaurant can hang some sound-absorbing material in the ceiling to cut down a little of the noise (although I would not characterize this as a "noisy" restaurant). Nice view, good not as good as the view. Service is hit and miss. Ambience for Tacoma it's okay- won't be back, ordered the dessert that was suggested and they didn't have any made from the day before I was told. Foods nothing to write home about, very standard nothing great. Nothing modern or cutting edge good place for an older set for a steak n baked potato evening. Like I said nice view probably the best thing it's ever had going- I've been a few times (not because unselected this place ) I wouldn't recommend or go back most likely. read more

Birthday event, Three folks birthdays. First time visit. Got there early so had to wait at the bar. I had a Smoked Bourbon - wow. I'm usually gravitating towards a smoked old fashioned but the bartender suggested the smoked bourbon that was exquisite!. Loved it, excellent suggestion.. The views from the picture windows are amazing. I imagine it might be even more impressive at night! Our server has worked there a couple of years and really understood the menu and how to answer questions and make excellent suggestions. Hard to top excellent wait staff that understands how to connect a guest to something memorable. We tried the Tasting Sampler (Oven Roasted Crab & Artichoke Dip, Seared Teriyaki Tenderloins, Coconut Shrimp). The coconut shrimp were my favorite. I also had the GRILLED SEAFOOD TRIO which has Scallops, shrimp, salmon. Scallops melt in your mouth - yum!. I was served crème brûlée for dessert. I am not a fan, but it was very good. This is a lovely restaurant, tastefully decorated with a fabulous view. The servers are always too notch, very professional and the right amount of attentive. However, this visit was disappointing in every other way. I ordered a dish I've had here before, but this time the portion was smaller and there was almost no sauce. It took an hour (literally, I don't mean that as an expression) for our food took come and it was disappointing to not have our appetizer comped or offered a free dessert. Also, the chairs were very uncomfortable which made the long wait even more agonizing. read more

Looks like they took the Oysters Rockefeller off the menu... guess we won't be back. We tried to order it at our last visit... they said they had it... then came back a half hour later and says... We came here on Thanksgiving and they knocked it out of the park. Who needs the stress of cooking on Thanksgiving when you can have an executive chef deliver a perfectly cooked meal whilst also offering the option to not have turkey? They had a 3 course tasting menu with a ton of options. Of 8 ppl, only 3 ordered turkey and the rest enjoyed salmon, surf & turf, lobster, etc. with good wine and shared deserts. Everyone was happy and we had a great view. Service was great and I would imagine when they are not packed on Thanksgiving the experience is even better. All in all a delightful experience made even better by the stark contrast to the previous night's rather disappointing experience at an overpriced lobster/seafood shop down on Ruston Way. read more

I have been back 3 more times since my bad experience 6 months ago. And all has gone perfect. I now believe that one time, was just a fluke. Each time I have gone back the food has been so delicious. The staff is wonderful and timing has been spot on. They also must have one of the greatest happy hours. If you like gorgonzola you must try those waffle fries. That and the Prime rib sliders sharing, is perfect. See you next week Stanley's. read more

We went here for a pre-Valentines dinner. They were super busy, like most restaurants around Valentine's Day. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our reservation. The view from this place over Tacoma is always pretty cool. We had the calamari for appetizer... it was pretty bland and I would not recommend or get it again. I ordered a N/A drink called the Shrub Life. It was different and refreshing. For my entree, I got the Crab & Macadamia Nut Stuffed Mahi Mahi and everything about this was what I needed that night. The potatoes were so flavorful and creamy. The fish was moist and delectable. Even the green beans had the perfect crunch. We ordered the Bourbon Street Carrot Cake and that did not disappoint! This is seriously not your average carrot cake, she was delicious! But not as rich as carrot cake normally is, like a light fresher version. 10/10 would order this again! read more
