Buying the car was fine it actually wasn't a horrible experience. The problem came when I went to cancel my extended warranty and gap insurance after I traded the car in. I cancelled them in June and was told 30-45 days to receive the check bc they had the check to make sure my loan was paid, even though I brought a zero balance letter from my lein holder. It is now September and I can not get a straight answer on when I will get my refund. I was told chk would go out end of July, then the end of August, then next week, and then the next week. No one will return my phone call after leaving multiple messages. I would not use this dealership. Cancelled a gap insurance policy on another car at Don Davis nissan got my refund with in 2 weeks!! read more

I wish I could give them a zero. It was the worst car buying experience of my life. I thought all the cliche crooked car selling was largely a thing of the past. I take some blame because I've walked out of other dealerships in the past who did far, far, far less to me. I figured out later I had a fever from an infected wound and I stayed there so long with their purposely long process that I became so hypoglycemic that I almost fainted. I know the sales people saw me almost fall over and it didn't faze them. I think they were proud of breaking me down. They started with bait and switch. The car I came to see and was given a price on wasn't there. That's false advertising because they say they have certain cars, they give you a price and they honor the internet price. None of that happened. First time I should have run. Long, long, long story short they negotiated verbally for a price I could live with on another car and scribbled numbers on a sheet of paper. I agreed. They said we had negotiated on the wrong price of the car. The entire sales staff was grinning from ear to ear. I think they love being so sleazy. They don't see customers as people but marks. Only later after my fevered fog lifted did I realize they showed me MSRP and a so called invoice had no info on it identifying it as connected to the car I was negotiating for so that's out right false trade practices. That's the second time I should have run. In the end I just stayed in a horrible situation until they wore me out. It's on me for staying. It's on them for exploiting my vulnerability . I was emotionally and financially molested at this horrible place. I feel the same way I felt when my house was robbed and trashed. When I went back to financing they hammered me trying to force me to buy all the extra maintenance and insurances. I did have enough presence of mind to say no to all of that and it made the guy very agitated. At one point he confronted me and said, " Just tell me why not!!" I said I just don't want it. Each time he tried bullying me into buying something he would say he would lower the interest if I bought it. So he held me hostage with a higher interest rate for not doing what he wanted. Needless to say I have lined up refinancing. I drove the car home two days ago and haven't been able to go out and look at it. I paid way too much for less car than I would have bought elsewhere. WORST DEALERSHIP EVER. Went with a co-worker -- and we were not having the best experience when dealing with them over the internet and phone -- but the level of dishonesty that started happening when we got there was breathtaking. They just flat out lie. Say that the car had "service done to it" so they had to charge another $1100. We said, "Why should we pay for service to your car?" and they said, "We did the work so that we can give you the 100,000 warranty." That sounded reasonable. We asked the salesman to put it in writing -- repeatedly -- and he wouldn't, he kept saying, "That's all in the paperwork in financing." Of course, it wasn't -- the financing guy said we were "eligible to buy the extended warranty". Wait -- we pay for you to work on your car so that you can then sell us the extended warrant? We went to leave and the salesman yelled at us, "Get on out of here, I don't care, this car doesn't make any money anyway." I went to the front desk, and insisting to speak to the manager. They tried to get me to talk to the assistant finance manager. I said no, I want to speak to a manager. This dealership has completely lost my business and any future business that could have taken place.I went in for a service on my car. I had no complaints with my service, it was the USED CAR SALESMAN that were disrespectful. After hounding me for 10 minutes, I finally decided to go and look. I spent an hour and a half with him and I let him know that this was a waste of time. He insisted that he could get me a "good deal". Needless to say that did not happen. It was not until his manager was completely disrespectful to me stating that they did not need my business any way and that I could just go somewhere else. I immediately asked to speak to the GM of the dealership, Johnny Cantrell. He greeted me with pleasure and he seemed nice until he threatened to throw me out after I complained about one of his managers. It did not take long for Mr. Cantrell to insult me and let me know that I was being an "emotional woman" and that I was not raised right because I was black. Will lie just to make a sale! The electric unlock/lock key part was broken and they said they would order a new one FREE OF CHARGE and have it mailed. Here we are 2 months later with nothing still. Also, said they would do first service of oil change FREE, well happened to work out we could stop on our way to Galveston and they tried to say no it wasn't free. Why the Hell would someone drive back from a different state just for a free oil change???? Not only was the process of buying ridiculous (should have been the first warning) the detailing of the vehicle wasn't even completed the inside console was full of trash after we even told them it was dirty, after being there literally all day we just left as is to get back to Oklahoma. Avoid this place. We purchased a new 2015 armada last year and have had constant issues with the vehicle. When we received it, the key did not fit the console and the entire unit had to be replaced. This took about a week. We had repeated issues with the drivers side door. It had bad wiring and they could not fix it. While they had it in the shop, they backed into the vehicle with another car. Their lot is too small to have a service center. I finally took the vehicle to another dealer and was told there was major warranty work done prior to us buying it. This was not disclosed to us. If you want a Nissan go buy it somewhere else. It you need maintenance, go somewhere else. These people do not know how to fix anything. One star is too much. read more

went in saturday desperately looking/needing a car. literally took an uber hoping id walk out of this dealership with a new car. i was looking for a kicks basic model. the salesperson tried to always sell me their sv/sr model. i told him again im looking for a basic model. he also drove me to their stockyard and still he tries to sell me their sv/sr model only to find out they did not have a basic model to sell. the salesperson tried very hard to sell what they have and was getting impatient and literally told me "are you stupid??". thats where i was done!. i talked to their manager about the incident and ask me if he said it to me directly. directly or indirectly it does not matter, its the fact that calling/naming someone stupid is not acceptable. the manager apologized and still tried to sell me their cars. i told him there was no way im buying a car at their dealership after what just happened!. i walked out of the dealership and uber to another nissan dealership and bought me a brand new kicks elsewhere!. read more

Currently checking in at my first 5,000 mile service. My last review I specified was only for sales experience (Joel is awesome) and I wanted to update on service. I was greeted at the front of the car line by Ivan - made an appointment- he politely explained to me what to expect at 5,000 miles and what is included today as well as what's included throughout the ownership of my car. Today I get a free car wash (declined an interior vacuum), tire rotation and oil change + inspection. I was about an hour late to my appointment and my total wait time did not exceed an hour. However, it was recommended to me to come as early as possible to avoid a longer wait time. I'm sorry for all the people who have had less than fantastic customer service at Texas Nissan Of Grapevine, but my experience has far exceeded my expectations. Every person I encountered was so very nice. I actually felt like the prices weren't bad at all, especially with the coupons I used. Bought a car there a little over two years ago. They were rude then, but I found the car I wanted so I bought it. I went to the service department once, when they tried to sell me an extremely overpriced item I didn't need. Now, I am trying to sell the car because I got a truck and I find out that it has been titled wrong and I have been paying insurance on a much nicer version of the car. It doesn't say it on the title, but the VIN is saying it is an upgraded version. The car was good and dependable, but the dealership is full of snakes. Shop elsewhere. read more

Very disappointed with my experience with Texas Nissan Of Grapevine. My sales girl was wonderful, the rest of the experience, awful. I was told on a price for my monthly payment and signed for what I believed was that price, however I was given all the wrong information, showed the wrong papers that I was signing, then used my electronic signature on the papers with the higher price as I was being read the apparent "wrong" contract with the price I was thought I was signing. The finance person that was helping me out was obviously checked out of their job because they told me that they had just put in their 2 weeks notice so obviously did not care to much with what was going on. When I went up to the dealership to try to correct the issue I was basically told there is nothing that they can do since technically I did sign the "correct" documents even though I was given completely different paperwork as I left there that day. They had no reason or excuse for giving me the wrong documents but just said there is nothing they can do. Not once did a manager come over to talk with me about the problem, I just had to deal with the finance people. I was told that because the finance person "isn't the boss" then they don't really have control over anything even if they give out the wrong information. The difference is only $8 but I do believe it is the principal of it all to correct a mistake that they had made. I had family that was going to go there when their lease is up but now they won't be taking their business there. At the end of my lease I will turn in my keys and take my business elsewhere. read more

OMG, WTF? Stay as far far away from this dealership as possible. My husband and I were also tricked by their shady "internet pricing". We saw a few cars online that we were interested in so we stopped by. One car listed online at $10,950.00 was actually priced as $13,950 at the dealer. When I asked why the big difference, the skeezy salesperson explained how the internet price did not include "dealer added options" such as $500 for nitrogen in the tires! Well hell, take the nitrogen out and put in air and let's make a deal! When we wandered over to the used lot, we were greeted by a salesman with a really nice neck tattoo who my husband and I later agreed was high as a kite. They didnt have a single price listed on any of the used cars. When we asked the neck tattoo guy (think lil wayne wannabe) for the price, he said he didn't know and he would have to ask his manager. So basically, they wait to see how much money they can get out of you before they decide on a price. Finally, they said they found a car in our budget. Yippee skipee! I laughed so hard when I saw it. It was the ugliest, crappiest car on their lot and they wanted to sell it to us for $13,000. No thanks, doods. So my husband and I left, empty handed and really pissed. Mike Y is the worst car "salesman" I have ever dealt with in my life. The entire car buying experience was HORRID and I am pretty positive he even took my new car to run his errands or drive around town. Maybe he even drove it home last night. He lied to get me in the door, lied that he knew what my payments would be, lied how long it would take, lied about when I could pick my new car up after it got certified, lied about when he would call me, lied about why my car was not at the dealership at 745 in the morning. This guy should be in politics because he is just full of lies and empty promises. In addition, he is hell bent on wasting people's time, because literally everything takes him FOREVER. When I tried to ask him why he had my car in his own personal possession and why if it was with him off the lot at 745am why he had no idea when I could get my car and why did he have it, he basically told me he was done with me (I guess he already got his commission so why even pretend to be polite or sorry for the situation?) and when I told him how upset I was and that I will NEVER EVER buy a car there ever EVER again he said that was fine. THIS IS THE WORST SALESMAN I have EVER HEARD OF and I can not believe how I have been treated by this man. It makes me SO SICK TO MY STOMACH that I just bought an SUV and this guy gets to make money/commission when he literally has done NOTHING and has done nothing but LIE to me and be RUDE about it. When I first bought my car about 8 months ago, It was the worst experience I have ever had. The car was originally for my husband and they let him drive off with the car for a few weeks and then called him and told him he needed to bring the car back that the financing had not gone thru however when he signed everything had gone thru??? I ended up taking it out under my name and luckily we have not heard from them. We bought all types of insurances on this vehicle and had to take in the car on Saturday. I was promised there would be a loaner and guess what?? No loaners!! I did throw a fit because it seems to be something different here at this dealership regardless of which department you are dealing with. Recently got a call from Nick wanting to know if I wanted to trade my Juke I had bought from them. Explained to him I had bought a Rogue not a Juke. Agreed to go talk to him even though obviously he wasnt very professional. Then the day I am supposed to come out he leaves me a message saying are you still coming out to look at a truck to haul your atvs and boat. Not only had we never discussed a vehicle, but I dont even own a boat or ATV. Then he called me today and when I answered the phone he asked me the same question. Told him he had no idea what was going on and he proceeded to tell me in a very disrespectful manner it wasnt his fault. When I asked to talk to sales manager he hung up on me. I called back was told sales manager wasnt available. Requested call back and never got. Do not deal with this dealership. All they want is your money. This dealership does not value it's customers. In fact, the owner, Johnny Cantrell, personally didn't even consider me a customer although I bought a car from him because I hadn't had it serviced with him too. We purchased a used vehicle which had a full transmission failure at 76 K miles with only a 75 K mile warranty. Since not covered by the warranty I had it serviced by a private shop for much cheaper than Nissan. It failed again within 20 K miles. I now know that these CVT transmissions are notorious for this problem and that Nissan has lost a class action lawsuit to that affect. For me to have solid legal argument to get Nissan to reimburse or fix this I made the mistake of going to the cheaper private mechanic for the first repair. I admit that and thus was not seeking for full reimbursement. All I asked was that Texas Nissan of Grapevine give me a decent value for my trade-in and come down $1500 on a $16,000 used SUV. They refused and Johnny Cantrell personally entered into a discussion with me constantly interrupting me and lobbing aggressive accusations against me because I made the mistake of using a cheaper mechanic while boasting of how busy his service department is (3000 tickets a month apparently). Not a good sign if you ask me. Anyways, he frustrated me so much as to drop a completely uncharacteristic F-bomb while storming out. He chased me out to sarcastically ask if I was "millionaire and if he should be worshiping my feet." I believe what I asked was reasonable and an olive branch to make a consumer of his product feel somewhat justified in a crappy situation. Instead I'm fully enraged and will never buy a Nissan product again. Way to go Johhny, no wonder Nissan is doing so great right now. read more

Sales associates were pleasant and nice. However we were told at the beginning we could borrow the car for a day to see how we liked it. When we got to the part to borrow the car the manager wouldn't let us test it without a down payment. This is the only dealership I've ever had tell me we couldn't test it for a day. The guy proceeded to compare buying cars to buying shoes. I'm sorry but there's no comparison and you best bet that if I buy shoes and don't like them, then I'm taking them back! If I could give no star, I would! The first time I visited Texas Nissan to have new tires, exhaust clean out, & state inspection done on my Armada, I thought I had found the place to have all of my service done from now on. However, after the experience I had today with the service department, I'll never be back to Texas Nissan even for my free tire rotation because of the extremely poor customer service I received. It began early on when I called to see about having my appointment moved from Saturday to today (Friday, 09/26/14). The young lady that I spoke to was not accommodating at all. She acted like I was bothering her. I was told I'd receive a call back shortly from a service rep to let me know what was available. After 30 minutes, I called back because I had not heard anything. I believe it was the same young lady I had spoken with earlier because I received the same demeanor. She ended up just telling me to come in around 11:00 am. I asked her if there would be a loaner vehicle available because I had a few errands I needed to run & all she said was "yes, I'll have it ready". Upon my arrival, I guess you could say that I was "greeted" by a service rep who was more worried about me getting out of the way than he was making sure he had a full understanding of what I needed done. When I asked if the loaner vehicle was ready to go, he looked at me like he had no clue what I was talking about. He couldn't find my appointment in the system because apparently the "sweet" young lady I had spoken with originally failed to move my appointment to today. He then proceeded to tell me it was going to be a $40 charge for a vehicle. I told him that was unacceptable because I wasn't informed of any cost earlier. I've been to multiple Nissan dealerships & every other one was more than willing to set me up with a complimentary loaner vehicle. He said he would ask the service manager to see if he would make an "exception". While I was waiting, I noticed Greg Williams, who was the service rep that I had dealt with when I bought my tires & had the exhaust system cleaned out. He seemed much more interested when I was preparing to drop $1,000 on tires & service than he did when I was there for a Full Service Maintenance. Then I had the "privilege" of speaking with the service manager, Mr. Mark Topham. Mr. Topham was the most pompous, arrogant ass-hole I've ever had the honor of dealing with, especially in a supposed "Service" department. Needless to say, I made them return my vehicle, and I will never set foot at Texas Nissan again. I will also deter as many people away from Texas Nissan as I possibly can. Great customer care through the service department! I had to have my car towed to the dealership when my car wouldn't start and I couldn't get a jump. I was expecting them to call me with some ridiculous quote for repairs, but they were very helpful and honest with me. They charged me the same price a mechanic would have charged, and I knew I could trust them more to fix the car since this is a dealership. They also put air in my tires, replaced one of the caps that was missing, and gave me a free car wash.. AND vacuumed out the inside. Great service and very quick work. read more

So something very interesting, unexpected and refreshig happened after I post my message of complaint about Texas Nissan of Grapevine. I received a phone call from the Director of Service - Mark Topham and he said he wanted me to bring my car in and let his team look at it again. I was sceptical but he was very nice so I told him that I would honor his request. Monday I brought my Murano in again and he explained to me what they were going to do. He had me drive the car with 2 techinicians in the car with me so they could hear the noise it was making. They did... We went back and they had a brand new Murano waiting for me to drive while they worked on the issue. Mark called me 3 times on Monday to keep me posted on what they were doing. His last phone call was to say that they are confident that they fixed the problem and that my car was ready to pick up. He said "no rush, bring it in tomorrow morning and pick up your car. Also as a token of appreciation for being a retun customer and for the trouble you went through we will cover half of your monthly payment Mr Gazi". I was shocked and pleased at the same time. Way to take a bad situation and turn it into something good! I also received an email from the GM of the dealership Johnny Cantrell apologizing and saying that he wanted to make sure I was a happy customer. My only question with the whole situation was "why was this not done a month and a half ago when I first complained? The sales person lied to us about the leaf. The car sux and never lease from these people. There is no where to park to charge your leaf at the dealership. Parking for charging is used to park serviced cars. Worst Nissan dealership ever!! WILL NEVER BUY NISSAN AGAIN!!! read more

Just bought a used car two months ago. Just the other day I was detailing my car and popped the hood to see if I couldnt put the nissan emblem back on and noticed that the battery was wedged in against the fuse box with a bungie cord, ?cabinet hinge?, with a sponge and plastic light switch cover keeping in in place against said fuse box. It usually wouldn't worry me because I myself like to try and fix things on my own. But I paid almost 3 grand on top of the 6 the car was worth for "dealer preparation fees" for this to be overlooked. 3 grand for what seemed like nothing but "new" hubcaps that fell off after a day, and maybe new windshield wipers and a wash. Now, I admit, I should have checked everything and caught it asap, but I didnt. Still, I have no idea how that could've been overlooked. I brought it in, was told to go to the service dept by josh, I did. They told me I'd have to pay for the bracket, I said no way. Brought it back over to josh. He got a manager, (dave?)..super bad with names as he'll tell you, and he said there's "no way that's our part". Well no shit. They fixed it in record time, which was awesome, but Dave argued with me that the battery was put in that way since I've had it. Now...I'm pretty handy...I like to fix shit myself...but I know I didnt do this. I live alone. I'm the only one to drive the car. The walmart battery in it had a date 7/18, BEFORE I even bought the car...I didnt do that shotty job. He argued with me. Said it wasnt them. I'm glad they fixed it but jesus dude, just admit it could've been yall and move on. I wasnt being too much of a pain, although I was pretty peeved it was even an issue, but that was absolutely unacceptable. Own up to yalls shit, dont try and give the runaround, and check yalls used cars better so this doesnt happen again. And chill with yalls supposed dealer preparation fees. Made the mistake of purchasing a vehicle for my daughter from this place. Huge mistake. I went back and forth with salesman about the price we agreed on through email. While he kept insisting I purchase a warranty for an additional 1800 dollars. I refused several times and he kept lowering the price of the warranty. After I refused for the last time he said I would have to pay sticker price because the price we negotiated had expired because I did not come in the same day. I told him I would take the car without the warranty and pay the 250 dollar discount he said expired. I also said I would give him a bad review. He came back said he would give it to me at the price we had previously agreed. By this time it's well after closing. I'm angry and tired. The finance manager reassured me that he would take care of me and apologized. Finally I thought a decent person in this place. I made the mistake of not thoroughly reading through the contract because by this time it's well after 10 and I was exhausted. I read through my contract when I get it in the mail and lo and behold, the 1800 dollar warranty was added along with the 250 dollars to the price. I was also told I would get an additional key for the vehicle but when I went back they said they didn't have it. I should have been thorough when reading my contract but I really thought the finance manager was honest and doing the right thing when he said he would take care of the problem.
