I can say is wow! Our AC went out on Friday evening in the middle of the hottest part of the year. The unit was only 5 years old so we were concerned about it, that and the fact that it was Friday evening. We contacted TRS and left a message with them hoping they could help us that day. Juan called us about 45 minutes later apologizing for not getting the message earlier as he was in church. He said he was close and came immediately to our house. He instantly knew what was wrong, the drain was clogged as we had forgotten to put bleach in it to keep it clean periodically. He had it cleaned out in just a few minutes and the unit started working immediately. He had put the unit in a few years back and remembered us and took care of us quickly. We were so grateful to him that he came to us on a Friday evening so we wouldn't have to suffer in the heat. He was friendly, professional and in our eyes, a life saver. Should be zero stars. I called this company and was given a quote of $2300. After the initial estimate for my a/c, they sent a young kid to do the job who looked no more than 18 years old. After replacing a couple parts he said he did not know why it was still not working. The owner came out and also could not figure out the problem. He said he would come back the next day but guess what... he NEVER SHOWED and NEVER responded to my calls and texts. I called two other companies who gave me a quote that were $1200 and $1300! So he was charging me way too much in the first place!! The last company that came did a thorough investigation and found that the original guy had broken a part and probably didn't want to pay to replace it because it was expensive so he disappeared. I don't mind when a company makes mistakes but I sure as hell care when they don't take responsibility for it. Now I won't have a warranty from the person who DID fix it because this terrible company had their hands on it and did some of the work and obviously made a huge mistake. My first time writing a negative review. AHS assigned TRS. I do NOT recommend TRS. The management is disappointing. 1. Surprise visits: Instead of calling to schedule the first appointment, they showed up unannounced. I was out of town and told them to schedule with me in the future. Later the owner complained that I had cancelled on them that day, despite never having arranged an appointment. When I offered to show communications that backed up my statement, the owner got defensive and switched the topic. Picture backing up my account is attached. 2. Lack of diligence and communication: In July AHS approved repairs. But the repairs weren't completed because TRS wouldn't arrange an appointment with me. Numerous emails and calls, from both me and AHS, went unanswered. By September, I escalated the issue with AHS. AHS called TRS, with me on the line, to try and get the service scheduled. The owner Juan had a temper tantrum about me escalating the issue with AHS. Instead of scheduling an appointment, TRS falsely told AHS that I had been cancelling appointments on them. Later in September, AHS tells me that TRS won't do the work so I need to get a new contractor. So after months of waiting, I'm back to square one. Based on my experience, if AHS assigns you TRS then you should call and insist on a different contractor. The management is awfully unprofessional. AHS is already a pain to work with. Adding TRS into the mix will give you a headache. read more

The difficult, painstaking, and stressful part is coordinating for inspections. That's the reason why I can't give 5 stars. I submitted multiple requests for a quote to have somebody come out to resolve a clogged HVAC drain line. TRS was the first to respond with acceptable availability and prices. So we setup an appointment. While here, I also opted to have the 7-year old HVAC system services, inspected, and cleaned. During the process, the technician was very helpful in explaining what he was doing, and providing tips and suggestions along the way. It seems you get different guidelines for maintenance intervals depending on who you talk to. In either case, it was useful feedback. He found a capacitor nearing failure, and was able to quickly replace this for less than if I had waited for it to fail. With Texas summer approaching, that's never a good thing. The only issue was not being able to actually address the drain line issue. I ultimately called another HVAC specialist who also didn't immediately have the answer, but was able to quickly determine the issue (which there was no issue) and verify everything was working perfectly. I was simply given incorrect information from the original home builder. That really came down to experience. Which unfortunately cost me another expensive service visit fee. As such, that somewhat left a negative impression with me. Although to be fair, overall, it wasn't a bad service experience. Just not ideal. read more

Got in a bind when my a/c blower all of a sudden decided to take a vacation this 4th of July weekend. I went through my warranty company and asked for a choice in contractors after the one they originally assigned me had negative reviews. I got my choice and got TRS based on their reviews. The company itself is on it, from emails to texts confirmed the appointment and updates on the technician. Ruben checked out my A/C, fixed the issue and was super friendly the whole time even telling it like it was with the type of HVAC unit I had. Based on this experience, I'll definitely be calling them again come maintenance time for the winter! read more

Our home owners warranty company sent TRS out after our AC cut out in triple digit heat and TRS was able to come out same-day (THANK THE LORD ALMIGHTY).... Juan got stuck in a little Austin traffic, but came within the promised time frame. He was super friendly and got right to work after seeing the miserable look on my face. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue, a busted compressor, and grabbed a part from his truck. Once he replaced it, he stayed to test the cooling levels with his special tool and to make sure it was actually cooling instead of jetting off. My mom happened to be visiting and was also impressed with Juan (she's not easily impressed). She asked him to come service her AC in a different city and he gladly accepted even though it's an hour away! Truly, the greatest customer service. It seems that Juan has left a great impression on others and I can attest that he deserves the kudos! read more

Called HWA back and asked them to find someone who could come the same day and they found Texas Reliable Services. I had a technician over within an hour and they quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the broken part and had us running cool in no time. Very pleased with their work and the service they provide. We'd be sleeping in a hotel if it wasn't for their quick response. read more

They were timely, efficient and friendly. They even showed me how to change the filter on my furnace and gave me the specs for the filter. They were simply wonderful! Juan was a no show. He and my husband agreed on a price to install a 2 zone mini split. He said he would install on Monday. I waited all day long for him arrive. He never came..never called. We were recommended Texas Reliable Services through our warranty company and couldn't be more pleased with the effort, attention, and service that they provided. Ruben is a great technician! He was extremely personable/professional, explained everything he was doing, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Our house is 15 years old with the original air conditioner. It took a few visits to get the problem 100% solved but each time we called they scheduled a visit for that day or the next (even on a Saturday and Sunday), came on time and were extremely patient with us. They were easy to work with and do solid work. We will be using them in the future for maintenance. read more

We were very impressed with Texas Reliable Services. We noticed water leaking through the garage ceiling and around our upstairs AC unit. Reuben from TRS came to our house (via Home Warranty of America) within 2 hours ON A SATURDAY, fixed our clogged drain line and explained everything thoroughly to prevent future problems. We suffered outrageous electric bills for two months and have hard time with HWA. I told HWA that it was final straw and there was something wrong with our ac unit. TRS was third company to come our place. HWA send the request to TRS and Juan contacted us right away (an hour) and said that he could come here right away. Juan came out to diagnose the problem and sped everything up. TRS company came in 9 AM and worked so hard. They finally left at 3:30 PM. Hours of working to make sure that they actually fixed everything. Also, they replaced the filters for us which was very generous of them. Two months of waiting and have the right company came. It was worth it. Will call them again if we have any problems. They deserve more than five stars! Lastly, I asked them at very last min and see if they could install two nest thermostats that I was thinking about to buy. They said sure of course and I ran to home depot to buy two nest thermostats. They installed it right away and it is running perfectly! They are not here to hurry things up to get money. Just want to say that we had some a/c trouble early Sat morning and I couldn't find the number to the man who had worked on our unit before. It was hot, we were miserable, and so I chose to call TRS, one of the companies that had been mentioned on our neighborhood fb page. The tech came out, didn't use one tool to measure ANYTHING. I did already have the front face of the indoor unit taken off for him to look at, but he literally brought in a black bag and never took a tool out of it. Then we went outside and he just looked around. He took a some pics of the model and serial number with his phone and that was it. He said he thought I needed a new circuit board....that would be around $200 plus labor. He said he was going to contact the owner and let him know what was going on and he would get back with me. He did get back with me late the next evening and said I needed a whole new indoor unit, that would cost $2,100 because mine a/c unit was old (10 yrs old this Dec) and proceeded to tell me about the warranty. Today I found the number from the original man who worked on our unit 2 yrs ago and he promptly came over and diagnosed the problem as a defective fan motor. He went to the supplier, bought it and installed it in less than 20 min. He checked my coils, went outside and checked the freon level and let it run for a bit to make sure it was working correctly. Parts and labor cost me $768.00 He even came back later this evening to double check and make sure everything was running smoothly. Now why would any honest company try and sell you a new machine rather than buy brand new parts that are still made for my current unit? I may be blonde but I'm no fool. If you use no tools to diagnose my problem then promptly try to sell me a whole new unit, you're being greedy and not practicing good business. $2,100 vs $768 is quite a difference....at least to me it is. Honestly and doing the right thing goes waaayy farther with me than someone just trying to make a buck not caring that we didn't need to spend that amount. So if you have a/c needs please call Ram Air and tell Edgar that Laura sent you. You won't be sorry. I'm just glad I didn't go with the first company and waste a lot of money. Found TRS on yelp, figured I'd give it shot since the business is close by & the reviews were great. Juan was fast, friendly, knowledgable, and professional!!! I would recommend to any of my friends & family. After the storm we just had recently, it caused corrosion/wear&tear on a few of the wires on my outdoor a/c unit which resulted in the fan to stop spinning. There is really no good time for the ac to stop working properly but Juan came to the rescue to save us from the Texas summer heat on the weekend!!! This company is horrible. My wife and I were assigned them through Home Warranty of America(another terrible company) to fix our AC. They made no fewer than 9 trips to our house to diagnose and fix the system. Their service techs were no good, made diagnoses that did not make sense, charged us $500 to replace a compressor that stopped working within 2 hours of them leaving. I called to straighten things out and to let them know that the install job was done poorly and Juan, the manager and or owner yelled at me over the phone and refused to listen to my reasoning when I told him what the other techs said when I had them come out to evaluate why the system wasn't working. He then agreed to meet me to take a look at it himself, but he no-call-no-showed. My pregnant wife had to endure 5 weeks with no ac and we got exactly 0 satisfaction from them. If I could give no stars, I would. If your home warranty recommends them, don't do it. read more

Juan gave me an estimate to replace the old freon-based system at my house on a Weds. I got two other estimates the next day, both using the same system (Carrier) as Texas Reliable Services. TRS' prices were significantly more attractive than the other bids. On Thursday afternoon I called Juan to schedule the installation; he and his team arrived at 10:00 the Friday morning. The job was complete by 4:00. The TRS team was professional, tidy and very easy to work with. I'm happy with the awesome cold air and TRS' customer service. After having a horrible exchange with Austin Aire and Heating, Juan from TRS went out of his way to come out, fix our problem, was friendly, gave us an ETA so we could make sure we didn't miss him, and had the part we needed in his truck so we could get our house cooling down as soon as possible. I have a rental house and my tenants called me late Friday afternoon saying they were having issues with the furnace and I didn't know who to call. A friend recommended I call Juan Zavalija of TRS (Texas Reliable Services). She said she had used him for issues at her house and he was awesome. So, I called him late Friday afternoon and he said he would come by that evening after finishing a job he was on. He did as he had committed (which speaks volumes to me because most of my experiences with contractors do not keep their word). Anyway, he came to my rental house around 10:00 pm and repaired the furnace. The next morning, my tenant called me and said the hot water heater wasn't working. Again, I called Juan and he said he would go by and fix it. Again, he did what he committed and sent me a text to let me know it was done.
