This restaurant was good with service but the food came out cold and cooked wrong. I went out to celebrate a birthday dinner for my father. I had gotten the prim rib medium rare meal and once they brought the food out they didn't have mine ready yet which wasn't the problem. So my family started eating and 25 minutes later my food finally came out .... and was cooked well done and cold .... I confronted the waitresses and she said she'd go back and get me a new one. While my family was done eating I was still waiting for my food. Then the manager came out and was very disrespectful telling me that they have no more prime rib. And just walked away without a apology for the food being cooked or coming out late. Once my waitresses came out she informed me that they did have prime rib and she doesn't know why'd the manager would say that. She ended putting a ribeye in for me to go because now I've been waiting 45 minutes for my food after everyone else got their food. So to sum up the review and the experience I had here I was not happy and left unsatisfied and the manager at this restaurant really need to learn how to talk to people when something like this happens.... very unprofessional read more

First time eating at a Texas road house and the steak was good for a chain. We got takeout and didn't get silverware which was irritating because we were staying at a hotel. 6 of us stopped for dinner at 7:30 on a Friday night. We were told it was a 35 minute wait and were seated promptly within that time. I ordered the strip steak medium, along with the Ceaser salad and baked sweet potato. Salad was cold and crisp but way over dressed. Potato was hot and satisfying but the steak..oh my! For a steak house I was shocked. Flat, gristly, and just plain bland. I ordered the potato with just a bit of butter but it came with brown sugar. I was able to scrape it off. Mostly. This place is not good for large groups. My family and I went to the Alliance, OH location on Sunday, May 26th to celebrate my Godson's high school graduation. There were 13 of us. They don't take reservations but we did call ahead and were given a suggested time. After waiting more than an hour we were finally seated in 2 separate booths with a chair in the aisle. It was the aisle that led to the restrooms so it was a high traffic spot. We asked to be relocated because another large party got up to leave as we were being seated. The hostess was unapologetic when denying our request stating the others had been waiting. We knew that we had waited longer but realized she had no intention of bending. They seated 3 other smaller parties in that spot. The place was busy. When we finally received our meal one of the steaks was cold. The waiter did an ok job. I am giving 2 stars because the wine list was decent and the food was pretty good. I would equate it to an Outback Steakhouse. I probably won't go back. read more

Just thought I would add this to my review, after a bad experience. Last weekend, my family and I had dinner. Food was good, as always. When the bill came, I got out my credit card to pay, and realized I actually had cash. The bill was $58.40, and I gave the server a $50 and a $20, which came to almost exactly a 20% tip. A few days later, I looked for my credit card and couldn't find it. So I checked on my online banking to make sure I didn't leave it somewhere. The last charge was for $58.40 from Texas Roadhouse. I called and asked if I had left my card there on accident, and they said yes, they had it. Trouble is, I paid with cash. So there shouldn't have been any charges at all. Obviously I left it on the table on accident. The manager put me on hold, and looked up the receipts from that night. She found mine, and it wasn't signed. Well it wasn't signed because I never saw the charge, or intended for it to BE charged. She apologized and refunded the $58.40 which I appreciated. I'm not saying that the server pocketed the $70 in cash and ran my card. I'm simply saying that's sure what it looks like. I don't know how you could accidentally charge the card, AND take the cash. It sounds like this server just thought he would outsmart everyone and make $70 extra in the process. I left my name and number with their manager, and asked that she call me after she talked to the server. I'm half tempted to call the police on this server if it turns out he stole the money and ran the card anyways. I would hope at least the manager calls me back to let me know either way. UPDATE 9/30/14: I just got a call from the manager at the restaurant, basically saying she talked to the server, and he was, in her words "very remorseful". She said he explained that he "thought he was doing what I wanted since I left the card in the card tray". The problem is, I didn't leave the card in the card tray, I left it on the table on accident. I left the cash in the card tray, which is what he walked away with from the table. So, he is lying to cover his own butt. Apparently she wants to believe an answer that makes no sense from one of their employees, than to satisfy a customer with an answer who has been coming there for years. I don't want a hand out, I don't want anything free, I don't even care about the money. What I care about is that their server ripped me off, and after she talked to him, and he gave an answer that makes ZERO sense, she just brushed it off. This will be my last meal at Texas Roadhouse. Which is a shame, because I really enjoy their food and service (minus this one unfortunate incident). Beware folks, when shady stuff goes on here, apparently managements answer is to simply look the other way. read more

Our family has been going to TR for two decades, in all that time my hubby and I had 2 mostly gristly large strips on the same night. When I told the waitress she send the manager to our table who apologized and offered new steaks or removing the meals from our bill which is what we opted for since we were meeting friends. We were very pleasantly surprised and it was one reason we decided to keep coming back. One other time I ordered 1/2 rack of ribs which tasted like leftover from the night before and nuked. Other than that we are usually happy with the food there, we love the rolls and especially the house dressing for the nice salads. The service is mostly pretty good and friendly. I do have one more complaint, that is the way to loud country music. With a full restaurant you have to yell to talk over the noise. TR is the only good place to eat in Alliance, we will be back. It would be nice if the restaurant could expand so the wait times got shorter. read more

I asked three people to get more mellow yellow and they totally ignore me and then one of the bussers heard me and then continued there conversation with the waitress and then finally after 10/13 minutes she finally asked if we needed more and then it took her another 7 minutes to get our drinks and then no one pre bussed our table for a while. This place has the most amazing hot rolls with cinnamon butter, and that alone is a reason to come. They have pretty good service and a large waiting area with a tv and a barrel of peanuts to snack on. They have a huge seating area which is good as this is one of the few attractions in alliance worth coming to. As for the food itself large meals and sides and pretty good steaks and chicken. Be careful ordering online! The app wouldn't take our gift card, first of all. We arrived and checked in at 4:00, exactly on time. At 4:25, after watching all the cars that arrived after us get their food before us, we asked one woman what time she was supposed to pick up. She said 4:15. At that point I told the girl who was delivering to cars, we wanted our food and a manager. The manager came out with our food 5 minutes Amaterasu and had nothing but excuses. "They're really backed up." If that were true, why did everyone who arrived after us, already get their food? Obviously, they forgot to put our order in, forgot to bring it out, whatever. If we hadn't asked, how long would they have let us sit there? If the manager would've apologized and admitted it was their mistake, I would have been ok with it, at least better than I was. It feels wrong giving such a good review to a chain restaurant, but this place really is the best place to eat in Alliance. This is not a 5 star restaurant anywhere else in the world. Just in our little town of no food choices. Everyone is always very friendly (service is very important to me). Food is usually out pretty fast and is always good. I don't think I've ever been here when the manager didn't stop by the table to make sure everything was OK, which is nice. The best thing is that it's pretty loud in there (if you don't have kids, that might be weird statement). We've been coming here for what seems like forever. I remember never wanting to take our kids out to a restaurant when they were babies/toddlers for fear of ruining other peoples meals if they started crying or whatever (or having to leave and us not getting to eat our meals). This is the only place where that doesn't matter. All 3 of them could be fussing and the people at the next table wouldn't know it. ;-) Everyones favorite part is the rolls and cinnamon butter (yum!). And it's nice if it's just me and the hubby, to sit at the bar instead of waiting for a table if we didn't call ahead. Another nice thing is that it seems like every time I'm here, I run into someone I know. My absolutely favorite thing on the menu, that I get almost every time I'm there, is a half slab of the ribs. I just pull the bones right out and use my fork to eat them so I don't have them all over my hands and face. The meat is so tender and there's a decent amount of BBQ sauce on them. I have even converted people who had always been afraid to order them and now it's all they order too. My second favorite thing is their Italian/house salad dressing. I don't know what kind it is but it's SO good and I searched for years for something similar to buy to have at home (finally found it at Aldi...who'd have thought?). The chicken "critters" (tenders) are good too. They are really crispy and kinda spicy. I know lots of people like the baked sweet potato which you can get with the cinnamon butter. The kids mac & cheese is kraft from a box. Do with that information what you want as it pertains to your kids picky tastes and/or your wallet. ;-) So basically, yes this is pretty much as good as it gets in Alliance (sadly). But I highly recommend doing call ahead seating on the weekend because the line starts forming pretty early. The food is mediocre at best, the rib eye and salad was good, the steak fries have way too much salt (had to scrape it off), the beer selection is limited (ok if you think bud light is beer). The service was OK, the waitress cheerful and pleasant. In summary, the wait isn't worth it; 50+ minutes. Even with call ahead it's a20 minute wait. The biggest problem is that there is nowhere else in Alliance to eat, which is why this place is so busy. read more

Yup, it's a chain restaurant, but they do a credible job with both service and food. I stopped in late on a Wednesday night with a party of eight. We were seated immediately, since the regular dinner time had passed. We were back in the "Outhouse" at a large table. Waitress was very nice, and very efficient. Rolls were provided, and they were GOOD. I had a sirloin steak which was the "special" of the day. At 8.99, it was terrific. That included two sides, which I chose at vegetables, very good, and a VERY nice sweet potato cooked and split open with a huge dollop of butter and cinnamon. Excellent!. Refills were given on the drinks ( soda). Definitely recommend this place for food quality, service, and price. read more

I've been to some of the greatest restaurants in the country. And while Texas Roadhouse can't compete with restaurants such as Lola or WD-50, it's not meant to. This is still my favorite restaurant. It's cheap, the service is always excellent and I have never had a bad meal here. The other Texas Roadhouse restaurants in the area ( New Philadelphia and Brooklyn, especially) are still good but there is just something about this Alliance location. The food is always better. The steaks are wonderfully seasoned and tender. When you can feed 2 people a great meal for less than $30, it's definitely worth the stop. I could do without the country music and NASCAR memorabilia, but hey, when the food is as good as it is, I can overlook the cheesy decor. read more

This is pretty much the best restaurant in Stark County. It is a chain but the service is pretty solid and the food is consistent. It just isn't that good. They serve a variety of steaks along with various chain-style dinners such as ribs, chicken dishes, and salads. I usually get the ribeye or chopped steak with a double order of broccoli. The meat is fine but the broccoli is usually under cooked. I don't want mush but it generally comes out next to raw. The rolls and cinnamon butter are good enough to cheat on your diet though. On account of it being the best restaurant in Stark County it almost always has a long wait. Far too long to wait for a Texas Roadhouse but you can go shopping in the attached strip mall if you need shoes. This is an OK place to go if you don't like food very much. The guy next to me told me how much he liked it, but he also said Cheddar's was his favorite restaurant so I'm not sure I trust him. read more

I get so mad everytime iv'e seen this, i mean i have given this Steak House my best effort to redeem itself to only find them young girls favoring ones they wanna see first which means you get longer waits! Fridays and weekends are the worst but honestly it can be anytime, and i will say the food is good descent servings with well kinda high priced items! I enjoy their food once we get seated but then we order and well this is not the price if your on a limited budget unless your splurging on yourself, your boyfriend or girlfriend, or family, be ready to walk out with a nice wallet buster! I will say once in the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is typical to a steak house reminiscent off the west and Country music etc. So i will say its a definite thumbs down unfortunately, but hey check it out for yourself but do not go when you not ate all day cause you will be waiting forever, and sometimes it gets so packed you have to stand outside in the elements! This Texas Roadhouse is always very busy. They have good food, I have never had a bad meal. I usually order steak, but the salads, salmon and ribs are also good. The complementary rolls they bring to your table with honey butter are amazing! The service is quick and efficient. A manager always stops at the table to check on your meal. The restaurant is clean, despite the peanuts on the floor. :) There is a kids menu with lots of kid friendly options and on Tuesdays kids eat free! It is not overly expensive to eat here. The one drawback is the wait! There is almost always a wait to be seated, even if you do call ahead seating. Once you are seated it's great, it just takes so long to get to your table. read more
