Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite places to go for fried catfish. It's my go to meal. Every time I go I say I'm gonna try something else, but I always end up with the catfish. This time was no different. I arrived at the restaurant, and went inside to place my to go order. I was told that to go orders can only be placed via telephone or via the website. So I headed it back to my car and placed the order through the website. After I placed my order, I received a text confirmation message instructing me to pull into a numbered parking space & text HERE & my space number. Thirteen minutes later, I received a text saying that my order was ready. Shortly after someone headed out to the car with my food. The process was so easy, seamless, and quick. They have really mastered this to go ordering/curbside pick up situation. I could tell based upon the number of parking spaces that were reserved for curbside pick up. There had to be at least 20 spaces. I'll definitely be back to order more to go orders. I just wish there was a way to purchase extra rolls & request extra sauce in the ordering process. They give you two rolls per entrée, but if I was dining in I would easily eat 4. As always, my catfish was delicious, and I love the remoulade sauce that comes with it. For my side I had a loaded baked potato and a sweet potato. I know that's a lot of carbs, but I split my meal into two servings and have one potato and add a salad with each serving. They make a really good baked potato. First of all the potatoes are always huge. I think there's a height & weight requirement. Lol. They're a little salted on the outside so I always end up eating the whole potato, skin and all. read more

I recently visited the Texas Roadhouse location in Bowie and, unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. While I appreciated the ease of using their website to join the waitlist and being seated promptly upon arrival, the positives ended there. Upon being seated, I found myself directly under a strong blast of air conditioning, which made the entire dining experience uncomfortably cold. When I asked to be moved, I was told I'd have to rejoin the waitlist--an unreasonable solution, especially given the discomfort. My wife's drink took over 30 minutes to arrive with no explanation, and although a manager did approach us regarding the A/C issue, nothing was done to remedy the situation, leaving us feeling ignored and frustrated. To top it off, when our food finally came out, the busser initially delivered it to the wrong table. These compounding issues made the evening more frustrating than enjoyable. I've been to other Texas Roadhouse locations and have generally had good experiences, but this particular visit to the Bowie branch was disappointing from start to finish. I hope they take these concerns seriously and work on improving both customer service and internal coordination. Great for ordering take out because the food is amazing, but lacking in the dine in option, especially for datenight. read more

The service in the bar was far from "legendary". The bartender Fallon could be found in plain sight chit chatting with two managers and another staff all seated in a nearby bar booth instead of checking on the well being of the paying customers with botched orders and bills. Thanks for reminding me of the reason why I don't frequent this chain steakhouse. read more

This place is only good for the rolls!! I think this establishment is single handedly ruining the brand. I placed an online order to be ready an hour after it was submitted. Due to their poor service, I did not receive my food until 45 minutes after the order should have been ready. This amounted to 1 hr 45 minutes after the order was placed. I obviously notified the manager on duty, Kendall, of the issue who advised I would get a refund and it would take 1-3 days. After a week, I did not receive the refund. After several days of me calling the establishment, I was finally able to speak with another manager, Kayla. I spoke with Kayla on 5/10/24. Kayla explained that Kendall passed the refund request along but it was not completed. I received an email shortly after speaking with Kayla stating the refund was processed and would take 1-3 days. As of 5/21/24, I had not received a refund. I again ventured to call the restaurant. After being on hold for approx. 15 minutes I was passed to the General Manager (who I later learned was the Owner) Jim. Based on the previous emails I had been sending, Jim was already aware of my complaint. He advised there was no way for him to process my refund to my gift card. As a resolution, he sent me a voucher. The voucher had an expiration date. Several issues are at play: 1) Other managers should have been knowledgeable of this and I should have been told this 3 weeks prior when the initial complaint was made to Kendall 2) it shouldn't take almost 3 weeks to resolve a customer issue. Someone should have responded to my numerous emailed complaints 3) the voucher had an expiration date. I used ACH to purchase a gift card. Gift cards do not have expiration dates. Therefore my voucher shouldn't be limited in the use either 4) while Jim did apologize for the inconvenience he was not sincere in his apology and he definitely wasn't empathetic. He failed to actually listen to the concerns and instead chose to rush the discussions. As the owner, he did not do everything he could have done to rectify the poor customer service or retain me as a customer. for an issue that lingered for almost 3 weeks, it is not enough to simply offer a voucher for what was lost (especially if it expires) but you must go above and beyond for the inconvenience. Word of mouth goes a long way in earning profits. I certainly will be doing everything I can to ensure the discretionary income of Americans isn't funneled to establishments that don't care whether they get your business or not. read more

Had a great experience at this Texas Roadhouse location. We went here on a Wednesday evening for my mother-in-law's birthday. The place was pretty busy despite it being a weekday night. We got on the waitlist, which moved pretty quickly. Our server, Michelle, was amazing. She was friendly, speedy and checked on us from time to time. She brought out baskets of freshly-baked rolls right after we were seated. She did a great job taking our orders and repeating it back to us to make sure she got everything. The food was great -- no complaints there. I got the New York strip which was cooked medium rare, exactly what I asked for. I also ordered a $5 Long Island ice tea which was pretty good. Unfortunately, they did not have any frozen drinks, which would have been good to know before we tried to order them. There is always a wait here. My little sister loves coming here because of the prices. Once seated there is always a sticky feeling at the table and menus for some reason. I really enjoy the bread of course , the ceasar salad and the chilli is not bad either! read more

Had dinner with 2 out my 3 sons and the customer service and food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The waitress we had name was Nae and I must say she was GREAT! If I come back I will ask for Nae. The managers was OUT OF THIS WORLD, everyone was PHENOMENAL! The setting was good, not overwhelming with customers just everywhere, they were moving fast. Bartender so slow and dismissive that I opted to cash out and order from the takeout window outside where a Christina was even worse. They don't greet the customer or offer any courtesies. It's a weird awkward vibe where you have to initiate the convo to place an order or they just stand there. Star of the visit was our server Brittni, by a mile. This lady should be the face of the franchise in my opinion! She was super attentive, our orders were perfectly placed/brought, drinks topped off and super personable!!! What the heck happened to peanuts guys?? I mean understand covid, but there has to be another way, this was a staple along with the rolls, which were really good as always! We did the waitlist ahead, its said 10-15 min, so we headed that way. We checked in on our phone upon arrival. After about 35 min, i headed in to see what the issue was. When I gave my info, there were a bumch of questions, so i just showed them the texts with time stamps, and we were seated. There must have been an issue with the system or something, im not sure what happened. Food was on par with what I expect from Texas Roadhouse. Steak was cooked right, baked potato on point and my wife enjoyed her mashed potatoes (they are def real potatoes, which is a plus). I have always been a fan of the chili and my wife enjoys the side salad....Again no frills, but consistent! All in all, if they get the seating situation figured out, it was as good as it gets for Roadhouse, but def earned another trip! read more

I am not new to Texas Road House, but this visit was a little odd to me. So my family and I were visiting the restaurant to celebrate my cousin's birthday while visiting Maryland. Let me just start this review by saying that my food was delicious and the rolls and that butter was on point. However, I was not satisfied by how we were seated and the issues that arose when paying. We were a party of nine; seven adults and two children. We asked for a section where we would be comfortable for our size party, particularly a large table. However, we were give an enclosed booth that was quite uncomfortable. Now the restaurant was not crowded, and we asked if we could possibly have two different tables, and we were told that there was nothing available; however, you I could clearly see open table. So we all just crowd up in this tight booth. When eating I need to be comfortable, but what do I know. So we just there and act like everything is great. So now it's time to pay the check, and my cousin's husband was paying for everyone. He's a military vet and wanted to use his discount on on the check. The waiter states that the military discount can only be used on the vet's meal. Ok, kinda odd! So now he has to get the manager involved. The bill is taken care of. To conclude this review, I really enjoy Texas Roadhouse food, but I did not think the service was that great. Since this was not my party or my birthday, I did not feel it was appropriate for me to speak my mind about the seating, but I would expect any restaurant that people do not want to be on top of each other while trying to enjoy your meal. There were a few employees at the hostess stand just talking even managers just talking. Staff with masks not fully covering nose and mouth. The bartender seem like she needed help with being able to do drinks for bar and the rest of the place. The glass we were given was broken as seen in picture. A shot glass we got was gross. This was the tale of two sides...When we arrived we were seated immediately (great) however, we sat for about 15 minutes before we made a point of informing the manager of the delay (not so great). However, giving credit to the manager, she came in and made the situation right which I can truly appreciate (great again). As for the food...everything was great! Staff was friendly. Long wait but it seemed like a hopping and happy place. People were enjoying their evening so it wasn't too hard to wait for our table. Our waiter Jose was friendly and provided excellent service. The rolls were hot and fresh. We ordered the sirloin and various sides. The sirloin was cooked to perfection. While I'm a fan of Texas Roadhouse, I unfortunately feel this review will help someone. The attitude of Jim the owner is inexcusable. For someone in service his attitude towards his majority black customers is terrible. Be careful if you have a large party, he doesn't like that and will keep putting you to the bottom of the list ans if you complain about it will treat you like you're beneath him and take what he gives. I dont think anyone should be treated that way when all you want is a good meal and time with friends and family. It was my first time at Texas Roadhouse and it was ok. The rolls with the cinnamon butter were great! I had to resist eating too many. I had the grilled shrimp with rice, fries, and veggies. The rice and shrimp were not lacking any flavor! And it was still pretty good for lunch the next day. The place was not too crowded for a holiday and I came about 1.5 hrs before closing. I took away a star because it took the food quite a while to come out and we were unaware that they charged for people to play games on the tablet. However, I did like that we could see our bill front he tablet and pay there. Went here and had the Fried Catfish Special. The fish was fried to perfection. However the two sides lacked flavor. With a little bit of pepper the sides were average. My girlfriend had the 10NY strip which was cooked to a good medium rare temperature. The steak was cooked to retain its flavor and juices. The bread and butter is always amazing. Service was ok. I believe our server could have been new. The service was great initially, as time went on there started to be a lack of concern and urgency. I was a bit annoyed , my guest and I arrived and upon entry they went ahead to the bathroom . So when I walked over to the host stand to request a table for two . They would not seat me until she came out of the restroom , that was extremely annoying . As clean as any other restaurant I've been to. Our service was good. She was attentive. My only negative was that my baked potato was VERY dry. I was looking forward to it and was disappointed. They say Happy Wife = Happy Life, and if that's true, then this Bowie location just made my life a living hell as my wife was extremely angry and upset with the service (and food) for our dinner "date night". We used their Join Waitlist option in and we were promptly seated, even though my wife anticipated an hour long wait for a table, based on how crowded the parking lot was when we arrived; we had to drive around the lot twice to find a distant spot. Upon seating, we asked for a margarita for my wife and a glass of Merlot for me (as I was anticipating getting a steak later and thought red wine would pair well). 20 minutes later, no drinks yet. I asked for water so I had something to drink with the hot dinner rolls they brought out before we ordered, and that took another 10 minutes, and the waitress literally just brought a glass for me, nothing for my wife! About 5 minutes after that, they show up with the Margarita with no salt on the rim, my wife sends it back, wait another 5 minutes and it's returned with salt on one side only and she says she wants salt all the way around - like in the picture on their menu, so she sends it back again. Meantime, our waitress returns to inform me the Merlot variety I ordered is out, so I order the other Merlot on their menu. My wife is miffed when she finally gets her Margarita back for the third time, complete with salt all the way around the rim, after we were told "they ran out of salt" (obviously a lie or perhaps just a misinformed statement?) and now she's drinking and I'm still waiting on my glass of wine. Another waitress returns and tells me they are completely out of Merlot and out of frustration, I say emphatically "just bring me ANY Cabernet!". My wife and I order our entrees, after clarifying we can get what we saw for sides on their website (we both wanted the Sautéed mushrooms) compared to what is listed on their menu. She takes a dinner roll, spreads butter on it, takes a bite and scowls, saying there's cinnamon in the butter and it makes the dinner rolls taste nasty! I'm not as picky and eat mine. They finally bring me a glass of wine and I set it aside to go with my Fort Worth Ribeye steak. I order the largest they have (in a display case near the front door that we passed on our way to our seats) compared to the 16oz listed in their menu. Out come the salads, we've probably been there by 40 minutes now. I try to get ahead of the curve and order a second Margarita for my wife, even though she hasn't finished the first one, so she's not waiting another 30 minutes for it once the first one is done. My garden salad has some squishy tomatoes in it, but my wife seems content with her Caesar' salad, although it seems like her portion is smaller than mine. The waitress returns and tells us some story about how the have to clean the ring that they place the Margarita glass in to line it with salt and "it's going to be another 20 minutes" before they can bring it out. Needless to say, we were not impressed with the bar service at all. When our entrees arrive, my wife ordered Shrimp, she is not happy with the flavor of her Sautéed mushrooms and pushes that side to the side, opting to focus on the shrimp. I'm fairly pleased with my Ribeye steak, but thought it odd there were no condiments on the table and the waitress never bothered to ask if I wanted steak sauce to go with my Ribeye. All in all, a horrible dining experience and my wife barked we are NEVER coming back to this Texas Roadhouse, and insisted I leave no more than a 10% tip because she said the service was lousy! read more

Eeeek! Where does one start? Cleanliness is so important in a restaurant. I mean you're eating and well your restaurant is a reflection of what's going on in the kitchen and out. We got seated extremely fast but our table looked like it had been in a food fight. When we asked to get it cleaned they looked at us like we were asking for a diamond ring in a box, tied with a ribbon. So we are waiting and waiting. The service after that was just okay. The meal was okay, the food came out a little cold and bread wasn't replenished. Not sure I'd come back. There are way too many chains out here in the DMV to try places twice. This place is absolute TRASH. I have given the place several opportunities to improve their customer service. During the time that I have been ordering from this place I have witnessed their staff physically assault customers and my order normally needs corrections upon delivery. But tonight was an all-time low, as I waited for my food for a full hour before being advised it was never prepared! When questioned, staff told me there was a mistake "somewhere" in the process. The shift manager, Al Patterson, lacked accountability and showed no concern for my loss of time and resources. How long does it take corporate offices to realize new leadership is needed for this location??? read more

THEY HAVE MOLD & ROACHES!!! Went for my dad's birthday last night. Once we arrived everything went down hill. Should've left but my dad was excited. There was a 35-45 min wait, signed in anyway. Waited for 50 mins. Others came in after us and were seated. Was told the wait is based on table size comparison. Received a text to head to the host quickly to retrieve our table. Approached the host and was told she's waiting for someone to clean the table guess what? Table wasn't cleaned when we got to it. Informed the girl who escorted us to the table and she half ass cleaned it with a tude. Wiped half the table off after placing the rolls on it and knocked over the salt & pepper without picking it up. Menus were sticky as well. Now I'm gonna try to make this quick, bare with me... The waitress carded is for drinks. I understand that's the job. My dad gave his ID and didn't realize it had expired. She denied him a drink on his 68th birthday. Talked to the manager, she agreed. Took the waitress 20 mins to take our drink order. Order two legend margaritas, she offered black salt... NO! Daughter said her strawberry lemonade taste like watered down lemon with strawberry color. Now, we get our cocktails and I stir mine and see like black stuff floating around. I can't describe it, just know I was able to pick one out of my cup. I told my husband and the table next to me started whispering amongst themselves. They were disgusting the fact that something was in there cups as well. I stir my husband's cup and it had the same substance and what I thought was a little piece of brown stick. I pick it out and it's a roaches leg. I completely lost my shit and asked for a manager. Why I don't know, she was unresponsive before and damn if she wasn't unresponsive again. She apologized for the service and said she would check her bottles. There was no solution to anything, she didn't speak to any stuff and honestly the only thing to be done is SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN! The facility is run by kids, I mean most of the stuff had to be no older than 23 that includes the bartenders. In order for this to be rectified they would have to shut it down or work over night to get this place in standard. Not only is Stevie horrible and they need training, they are going to make someone sick or kill them with their lack of health standards. I would advise EVERYONE not to eat here THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! read more
