I was so happy that the Bourbonnais area got a Texas Roadhouse. It's the one restaurant that I love that I don't have by me. I'm by no means a country lover, but this is the one place I will tolerate it. First off, be prepared for a serious wait. They don't take reservations - but you can call ahead. When we called ahead, we had an hour wait, and when we got there we STILL had to wait about 15 more minutes. It's a popular place. You can get a drink at the bar while you wait, or munch on some peanuts that are in the barrels scattered throughout the waiting area. They are known for their steaks and margaritas. I'm a fan of both, along with their perfectly soft rolls and cinnamon butter. They are insanely good. I basically come here just for those. Their prices are the same as most steak joints, and you do get 2 sides with any steak you get. I like their salads as well. Food is good, nothing to write home about. Waiters and waitresses are friendly for the most part, but you can't hear ANYTHING anyone says to you. Before you even walk into the building you are being drowned in country music. This Roadhouse might be one of the smaller ones in the country, but honestly, the best. The customer service is top notch. On Sat. May 11, at 1:00, there was a 45 min. wait for a table, even though there were plenty of empty tables that would have accommodated us and other patrons. Many people were leaving, and I don't blame them, when you saw all the empty tables but yet they told you there was a 45 min. wait. Never again! read more

My family LOVES Texas Roadhouse and we've been to many throughout the country. This one lacks in the service department. We've been here 4-5 times now and only had 2 decent services. The last time was the last straw for us. When you cook my steak raw and it gets sent back twice you don't keep recooking the same piece of meat and you don't charge the person for the meal. I've had this happen at other restaurants and TR the manager Always brings the messed up plate back to check with customer. This one didn't at all and my plate wasn't the only one messed up. I would leave a 0 if I could. Our server was horrible a young man who didn't speak English properly or cleary, and fumbled around our apps and drinks. I always give consideration might be new or inexperienced. Here's the issue we had a hair on our appetizer and then my wife's chili had a hair in it which she pulled from her mouth(disgusting). I told the server immediately I need a manager waited or 5 minutes when he cam back to to table I asked where is the manager? He replies I told her I say well I'll go get her his reply you need to calm down. I stand up and say you don't tell me what I need to do. I start walking towards the check area server tells me you might have size on me bro but I ain't scared. I've NEVER IN ALL MY LIFE HAVE BEEN SPOKEN TO THIS WAY AT A RESTAURANT. A female manager comes doesn't have a clue about our hair situation. The server I don't believe said anything. She was absolutely professional tried to de-escalate the situation. She had to tell the server and group of workers TWICE to leave and go to the kitchen. Promptly a male Supervisor showed up he also was very professional. They both apologized I tried repeatedly to pay for what we had ate and drank. They said No. They tried to give us something for FREE to come back. Totally not the managers fault. They were professional and courteous. I'm astounded at today's youth and ignorance on how to speak to people and treat customers with respect. Yes I'm white and had 4 other white customers with me. Our server was not a white person and I could care less. I'm a teamster for 20 years and a small business owner. I'm not a man looking for a FREEBEE. I've had two jobs for many years. I was a little disappointed with the pork chop I had. It was small and on the dry side. I've had bigger and juicier pork chops for the same price at other restaurants. The two sides I had were green beans, and mixed vegetables (broccoli and carrots). Both sides were good. The music was way too loud, and all country. For some reason I can't stop ordering the chicken! Is always juicy and tender and with onions, pepper, and cheese perfectly seasoned. The steak is good ( I won't review it because I order a fresh cow each year, there is no comparison) I love the steak sauce. Service has never been an issue. It's a chain steakhouse what do you expect? Food is good and always hot here. Bar area is small. People are friendly and always willing to help out. Just seems too small like everything is jammed inside!! When's it's busy you'll know what I mean. Never had to wait longer than 5 mins. I was visiting my family last week and my dad took me here. He said he had been here before and liked it so I wanted to try it, really can't go wrong with the American staple steak and potatoes. Just another chain restaurant though that sucks out all Of the hard workers blue collars dollars for a hearty meal. I noticed the place was full of mostly obese older adults which is a sad sight in itself. I was going to initially give them 2 stars but realized our server was very well and polite I wish I remember his name. Steak was a piece of crap basically but it was a cheap steak everything on the menu was cheap so I wasn't expecting a world class steak . Sooo very disappointed. Called to make reservations for 10. Was told no reservations available but could call ahead of time and be put on the waiting list. Called about 40 minutes before to be put on the list and was told then that they can't add a party of 9 or more on the waiting list.... After flying over there to get our name on the list, was then asked if the whole party was there. Hell no, I'm there 35 minutes early to get us on a list.... First time ever at a Texas Roadhouse. Probably my last too. Very unimpressed. It was sooooo loud in there. I was there on a weeknight when it wasn't very crowded. They had music blasting. There were 8 of us at our booth and we could hardly hear the conversation going on. When the server took our orders, she was screaming in my ear because she couldn't hear the people at the other end of the table. What a disappointment! After a day of driving a juicy steak was we wanted. Both our steaks were over cooked. The manager brought them out to us. He did offer to bring us new steaks but as we were traveling we didn't want to wait for a new steaks. While eating servers were walking around complaining about who wanted to stay and who wanted to go. I ate less the half my steak due to toughness/dryness, no one really seemed to be too concerned about it. Manage never came back to our table if anything seemed as though to avoid it. Not impressed with the services or food. Have been to this place once before when they first opened and food an service was good. But that is how it is around this area, new opening very impressed after about six months to a year the standers go down. The dinner rolls and butter are great and the drinks are okay. I had the pulled pork and ribs and the only thing good on my plate was the baked potato. The pork an ribs were dry and tasted burnt. My husband had a ribeye and he ordered med well an it was rare. Sitting in a both around the bar is horrid. The music is loud and the service is slow and the entertainment of the waiters line dancing is just foolish an annoying. Called order in and picked up. 10oz filet was a quarter fat and gristle. Rice was too salty, baked potatoes were covered with salt (had to wipe salt off with napkin). Asked for sour cream and received a "drop". Container not filled. Dad had chicken and said it was good. Mom had salmon and was too salty. We wasted most of the food and ended up ordering a pizza. Neither the waitress, nor the manager offered explanation or apology. Mined you, we walked in at 16:45 p.m., hardly a rush hour. I usually don't have a problem with my food orders when I go here but today that was a whole other story. First they didn't get my other half's order of fries right. Then they got my steak wrong. I asked for medium rare and it came well done. Next thing you know my sister-in-laws steak was wrong too. She ordered well done and got rare to medium rare. Since we had waited long enough to be seated and get our food both of us girls decided not to waste anymore time and just eat each other's steaks. Well that right there should have been free meals for both of us girls but no the manager said that because we both ate steaks that he couldn't comp our meals. He said that he could only do something about our order of fries that got messed up. He gave us 3 free appetizers but still wouldn't comp both of our meals even though they screwed it up in the first place. Glad to know your guys customer service really matters. I have always enjoyed Texas Roadhouse. Since there was a new one in Bourbonnaise, IL, I thought that might be a great place to take my Mom and have dinner with my in-laws while I was in town. After being on the road for 8 hours I was looking forward to a nice evening. Our server was nice but brought our dinner BEFORE we were finished with the salads. Almost immediately after our steak arrived, so did the check. During our rushed meal service, she made sure to tell us at every opportunity she had an early morning and could not leave until her tables were clear. In the process of removing empty dishes, she removed my Mom's salad before she had a chance to finish it - no apologies for this one. You would think that dropping over $80 on dinner would give us the opportunity to enjoy it. To make matters worse, this server sat at an empty table across from us and just sat there and looked at us... complete with crossed arms, heavy signs and acting very impatiently! We had been in the restaurant for less than 40 minutes. Needless to say we felt very rushed and extremely uncomfortable. Not the dinner I envisioned with 3 very important people in my life! Once we returned to the hotel, I called the manager to inform him of our disappointing service. This manager said all the right things on the phone with promises of follow-up. It has been well over a month and I have heard NOTHING! I would not recommend the Bourbonnaise, IL location. With the amount of time we spend in the area, I can tell you I will not be going to this restaurant again. read more
