I went with the larger portion of prime rib, a house salad, and a sweet potato. My wife requested chicken cordon blue, a caesar salad, and french fries. Our salads were delivered quickly. Mine was very tasty and fresh. My wine was delicious and it paired well with my prime rib. Our dinner took about 30 minutes to prepare and was delivered hot. My prime rib was delicious. It was tender and cooked the way I requested. The ajou sauce was delicious as was the horse radish sauce. My sweet potato was very good. The skin was crispy and full of vitamins. Very very good! My wife's chicken cordon blue was also delicious. Both meals were super yummy and filling. The portions are large, so my wife had lunch the next day with her leftovers. Service was good. We had a great dinner!

I was served very quickly - I ordered a beer flight and the soft pretzel appetizer. The server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered a veggie burger with fries after the appetizer, then realized it was too much food! So I took my veggie burger to go for a late night snack that night. The fries and pretzels were delicious, so I couldn't stop eating them. My veggie burger warmed up later on was good too. I found several beers to enjoy here and I would come back to enjoy more beer and food! I'd probably order the same things again, but bring someone next time to split those pretzels with!

I'm sure it saves them a LITTLE bit of money to not order paper/cardboard bowls, but at the same time - the dip is $13! If I'm ordering it to go it should be in a bowl that is easier (and less messy) to dip the bread in. The bread is also supposed to be "grilled ciabatta" - my bread was definitely not grilled. Why not serve this dip with the same chips that are served with the buffalo dip? As a former hostess, I was also disappointed with my pickup experience. The restaurant was EMPTY (it was lunch time), there was no one at the host stand so I went to the bar to ask the bartender about my order. She asked me to wait for the hostess to clean off a table. Once again, it was COMPLETELY empty, no patron was waiting for this table to be cleaned off - but I AM here! And still, I had to wait for her to clean a table for no guests in an empty restaurant, instead of tending to me, the customer who was physically there. I have to get back to work, that's why I ordered to go, what the hell? Guests that are physically there should come first, even if my order is to go. Get it together Brew Kettle.

I frequently long for a restaurant with homestyle meals. That type of meal seems long forgotten…read more Like a proper meal with potatoes and bread (that's my Eastern European soul speaking). Joe's Avenue Eatery excels at this serving hearty soups, roasts, meatloaf, chicken paprikash, and other hearty dishes. I've visited the restaurant after my first time years ago. I should have returned sooner, dinner was so delicious. AMBIANCE: The place feels like you're dining in someone's spacious kitchen while watching TV (college sports). The place is simple, vintage but somehow very homey. It's great for dining solo and in groups. Various seating options like tables and booths are available. The crowd tends to be older. The people who dine here actually look at each other and not their phones. The multi course meal makes you also slow down and properly enjoy dinner. FOOD: The menu has multiple pages of meals that would appeal to any taste. They have all day breakfast, seafood, sandwiches, stir fry, pastas, burgers, wraps, soups, and more. Everything that I tried on the menu is really good and tastes homemade. My most recent order was Fork Tender Pork Roast Dinner ($16.99). The meal is a fantastic value. It comes with a side, veggies, bread roll, one visit to the salad and soup bar, free dessert (if you dine in). I first visited salad and soup bar selecting chicken soup from two options (the other was veggie). The soup was perfectly hot but at the end of the pot (not much chicken). It still tasted homemade and hearty. Pork roast was one of the best pot roasts I've ever tasted, meat was perfectly tender. Gravy was just delicious and plenty. The roll was still warm. Mashed potatoes were a bit chunky but that added to their homestyle charm. The entire meal just made me so warm and cozy. I took about half of my meal to go, it was pretty big serving. But really it's because I wanted to leave room for my favorite dessert - spumoni ice cream. I think of this ice cream often. It's served with whip cream, chocolate drizzle, and contains very tasty nuts. I can't wait to eat the rest of my meal at home. The eatery has plenty of specials for weekends and weekdays. If you dine between 2-5 PM on Monday-Thursday, you can get $11.99 meal. That includes tasty options like Grilled Pork Chop, Beef Liver & Onions, Polish Sausage with Pepper and Onions, and others. I really enjoyed Beef Liver & Onions. I miss a good place the can prepare liver as an Eastern European. Amazingly even $11.99 meal includes a trip to salad and soup bar. SERVICE: The service was top notch especially considering that the dining floor was served by two waitresses. My waitress Lisa was so attentive to all customers and so pleasant. Honestly five star service. I look forward to the next meal here and already re-reading the menu to plan my next hearty dinner. I saw Chicken Paprikash on their weekend specials list on the way out. I'm a huge chicken paprikash addict so it might be my next meal. I highly recommend checking out this eatery with your family for a homestyle meal and meaningful conversation.

The seafood itself tasted great and I love when they give you the option to mix the blend of seasonings. I got two clusters of crab, crawl fish, sausage and it comes with corn and potatoes. Very filling! Pretty cool how the bag is inflated and you get some tools to crack those crab legs open! I would still rank a few places above Juicy but I would go back if in town.
