Good decent food..Steaks are good, and ribs are outstanding...it DOES get loud there and we found out awhile back that if the cooks are running behind, they get the waiters and waitresses to dance to some country music and by entertaining the crowd, it takes your mind of the delay. Normally I have never had problem in the last 10+ year of eating here, service has always been top notch. But today the ball was dropped. Our we got our steaks without getting our salads, my steak was ordered with onion and had none. Now when we brought it to there attention they did get us new steaks so we could finish our salads. Just not up to the same top notch service I am use to. It left me a little let down. read more

This was our third visit over a short period of time and our waiter Gabe remembered us and greeted us like family. Service was great even though this time it was Mothers Day. Our wait time was about 5 minutes which was nothing for the day. Food was awesome as always, and we will be going back again. read more

While visiting the area, we dined out here twice for dinner. Loved the fun atmosphere, very friendly staff and quality of the food. Having peanuts at the table was something new and enjoyable. The first night I found my rib eye to be too salty. The 2nd night I ordered it with low salt and again it was cooked perfectly to my liking. The salad is plentiful with more than just lettuce. Of course the rolls were addicting. Wish this less expensive steakhouse would come to the Chicago area where steakhouses charge 40+ for a steak. read more

I was very disappointed in my meal! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, thought that was pretty straight forward for a steak place. First off the bun was about a week old I would estimate, the bacon was 2 pitiful strips and the cheese looked like it had been on the burger for about an hour. I ordered steak fries as my side and I know I got the last of the batch. (All of the short pieces) they also had been around awhile, oh and I got about 6 fries total. The topper to the whole deal was the MANAGER brought my food out and set it down and walked off, almost like he knew it didn't look good. A real lack of quality control by this guy. read more

The steak came back completely red.. other than that.. i've also tried their ribs, and that tasted really good! Great place to go with friends tho. But the pricing was a little pricey. read more

I was at Texas Roadhouse a week or so ago with a large group, the food was ok, nothing special and the drink I ordered was so weak I don't know if it was anything more than juice. Later that night I began to feel sick and found out early the next day that at least 2 of the other people I was there with had also felt sick. I did call there and talked to the manager about it, not to complain but more to give them a heads up that there may be an issue. The manager was extremely rude and said that it couldn't have been the food because it takes at least 48 hrs to feel sick from food, one of the friends I was there with happens to be a medical student and informed me that if the food was bad enough a person CAN begin to feel the effects in a few hours. Not cool Texas Roadhouse, you have just lost about 20 customers. Lesson to be learned... don't tick off the person who calls to inform you that your employers food already made them sick. read more

I went here with my boyfriend, and we had a terrible experience. While we were sat quickly(for Texas Roadhouse anyway), we had to wait about 10 minutes to get greeted, and get drinks. When my boyfriend took a drink, he realized there was a shard of glass in his drink. Our waitress brought new drinks to us and immediately left. She brought him a pop instead of a sweet tea, and within five minutes she realized and returned. We told her that he had ice in his glass, and he showed her the shard. This is what really bothered me. She did not say sorry, she said "Well why don't just put it back in the glass?" Obviously he needed to show it to her. She said she'd send someone right over. A manager never came to see us in the time we were there. Our food was okay, but this whole incident just spoiled it. I have worked in the service industry for years, and understand the pressure of being a server. But my boyfriend could have gotten seriously injured by that glass if he had swallowed it, and she acted like it didn't matter. I was expecting that at least perhaps his drink would be subtracted from the bill, but this was not the case. I was just really disappointed in the lack of care demonstrated by the staff. If they don't care that there is glass in someone's drink, then I don't care to go there ever again. read more

Excellent steakhouse! Some of the best food in town for the price. Consistancy is great as well. I go here several times a month and have never been unsatisfied. Dallas Filet is by far the best steak in my opinion but they are all delicious. Now I'm hungry! read more

Family of 3 was there yesterday. Seated in a section that was absolutely filthy. Gum stuck to the wall that was clearly visible empty butter containers on the floor, several tables had not been cleaned and prepped. We had to ask for plates and silverware several times, had to ask for our salads after waiting for 20 minutes. Entrees finally arrived I had to send mine back 3 times as it was incorrect, in the mean time my husband was served the incorrect entree as well and was given a second plate immediately when the server realized he delivered the wrong on. I asked for my meal to be taken off and the check, we are now over and hour of being here. Asked for to go boxes for the remains food that was left by my husband and son. That took an additional 3 times because he forgot and then only brought one. I did speak to the manager and she was amazing comped the entire meal. I have never had such poor service here. Hopefully next time will be better. We were there at 12:30 and it wasn't busy. read more

Was concerned because of the ratings...new to town, but Texas Roadhouse has been one of our favorite and most frequented restaurants in the past. Thankfully, we had a great experience and had our best meal there ever- Delicious salad with the extras we love like eggs, cheese and croutons, piping hot, delectable potato with a salted skin, ever-amazing hot rolls with cinnamon butter that we LOVE, and our usual combo 8 oz sirloin with BBQ ribs that we share and it's always more than enough. And the steak? They nailed it! Perfect in tenderness, grilled like we love it and flavorful to the max! (I'm a huge Heinz 57 fan, and didn't need it to add flavor...amazing!) We've had many a disappointing steak at other "fine" restaurants, but rarely a mediocre one here, and today's: exemplary! Can agree it's not the best restaurant for conversation due to the noise, but today went at noon on a Saturday, and it wasn't til the end that it got really busy, so noise not at all an issue as music was background so conversation possible! I'm a fairly frequent diner at that location. Every time I visit there the service is pretty good. They seem to have a genuine interest in my dining experience. Randomly the service will be exceptional. The waiter/waitress will refill drinks without being noticed, empty plates disappear again without notice.... small things like that. Tonight I went there with my girlfriend and we had one of those fantastic visits. I asked the waitress about having the mushrooms on the steak be the thinly sliced ones as opposed to the portabella mushrooms. She said she'd ask the chef. A few minutes later she returned and said that they won't because of the additional time it would take to prep the mushrooms (20 minutes). I said that was fine and no big deal. I was just curious after all. However, when my steak was brought out she pointed out that the chef did it anyway (only made half the normal amount) with the addition of the portabella mushrooms. They looked and tasted wonderful. I have never had the kind of service where they went that far above and beyond. It made my returning visits guaranteed. I just felt that the employee should be recognized. I ended up tipping the waitress and the chef. read more

The food was ok. My complaint is not about the food--except that one steak was quite dry. But, I wouldn't have bothered to complain about that. My complaint is the fact that our server, although extremely pleasant, was also extremely ill with the latest flu/cold bug. When my family became ill not quite a week later, I emailed the restaurant and complained about them having staff work when they are sick. I immediately received an irate phone call from Chris, who identified himself as the manager/owner. Don't fill out a complaint form from their site. Chris doesn't take it well. He said they have policies in place and the employees do not work when they are sick. Someone checks them in. Someone would notice. We probably touched a doorknob somewhere and became ill that way. If I knew anything at all about viruses, I would know that. He chose to totally ignore the fact that an employee was, indeed, working while noticeably ill. And, he didn't appear the least bit interested in going over said policies wth his employees again to make sure they are followed. Nope. He was just mad that I had the audacity to attack him and his restaurant. I believe I noticed a couple other complaints on this page regarding the manager being rude. Must be something to it. read more
