It was cooked perfectly, tender and awesomely seasoned. The onions and mushrooms added just the right amount of flavor when paired with a bite of steak. Side salad was fresh and the steak fries were really good too. Crisp on the outside, tender on the inside. The manager Justin stopped to ask how the food was, thanked me and invited me back again. We have tried takeout from a few places during the stay at home order, only to be disappointed and cheated out of good money. Tonight I had a houseful of teenagers and no desire to cook, and after seeing some positive posts about others take out from Texas Roadhouse, we went for it. I ordered and paid online and headed up about 45 minutes later. The "check in" was super easy and I was directed to park in a designated spot. Many people had the same idea as us as many other cars were pulling in. And a few minutes later, leaving with their food. But not me, lol. A bit later the manager came out and apologized as my order had headed home accidentally with someone else. Things happen, and I'm easy-going and actually I chuckled to myself because notoriously, something ALWAYS happens to our take out or delivery orders. And most places don't care if you are happy or not, but Texas Roadhouse cares. The manager brought me a coke and I told him that if we could get some extra butter for the rolls, we'd be more than happy. I won't go into details about how he made it up to us, but I will say it was more than generous. And for that, we are more than grateful. The food, ofcourse, was stellar, as usual. The kids dove into it in no time and it was probably their favorite take-out meal ever. And we will all be eating tomorrow too! Thank you!!! read more

Now they make their own hamburger buns and though they make the eating experience a bit messier, the burger is now even better! Was an excellent lunch, wouldn't go for a burger anywhere else in the Duluth/Superior area for sure! Burgers are still huge with a full plate of raw fries and a ton of lettuce and tomato too. I went here for the first time with high hopes because everyone hyped the heck out of this place... I ordered a 8 oz New York strip and I got it in a timely matter. That staff is very nice, but if I order a steak and the thing is still alive after asking for a medium steak then there is something wrong. I sent it back the first time to get it redone and it came back practically the same. I sent it back a second time and when I got it back it looked much better. However it did not taste much better. I describe it as chewing into a glob of baking flower. I get it was sent back twice and it will dry out, but I have never had a worse steak for the price. Granted the staff was very nice and apologetic, but the least they could have done is take it off the tab. Our service was poor last night. Our waitress didn't smile at us once. She never offered us refills, she never asked how our food was. She was just there to take our order. We had to ask for bread numerous times. She kept claiming there was none, everyone around us had bread. Finally she brought out 4 rolls, there was 6 of us, when our food came. She wanted us OUT! She took our appetizer away so fast we didn't realize she took it. We only ate half of it. She was bringing out to go boxes before we finished eating. Our bill was $72 and I was tempted to leave nothing for a tip but I left $10. Boy did she hover around for that. It's the first smile we received. There bread and the butter that goes with it is SO GOOD, not sure how I felt about the meal, service is great, when I went there there were trying to raise money to prevent cancer witch I thought was sweet, I would definitely recommend going to this place, with the good style, service and bread, but there was also a time when I went and the bathrooms smelt so bad that if you were even 7 tables away you'd almost puke, but I think that was one time thing but I don't really know, they also burnt my cheese fries once but before I could even confront them they kindly apologized and made me a new one, so you can definitely tell that the restaurant is trying there best, and I love this place even tho once in a while they make a mistake, it's still amazing there. read more

I usually enjoy the Texas Roudhouse locations, but I wasn't too impressed here, I found my pork chop to be "meh" and not really special at all. 2.5 stars I decided to give TRH another try after a several year hiatus from the poor service I received at their Coon Rapids, Minnesota location. Nothing special here. The food was adequate as was the service. Nothing special. Maybe it is just another victim of the Minnesota mindset of mediocrity. My waitress Teresa was absolutely wonderful. But my steak was supposed to be medium rare and I realize that's supposed to be pretty pink but it didn't even seem like the steak was cooked at all. For my two sides I had a Caesar salad and the lettuce seemed almost frozen. The other was the rice and it was extremely undercooked and crunchy. What a treat! Our waitress, Sarah, was wonderful. The manager (Jeff I think?) came by when we finished and dropped off a couple free appetizers for our next visit. The food... the food alone was worth the trip. 12 oz ribeye, tender and juicy. The cactus blossom w/ Cajun horseradish was a perfect start. The country fried steak was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and not greasy like a lot of other places seem to have a problem with. Serving sizes are plenty, and you get what you pay for, if not more. Super reasonable prices for quality grub. Highly recommended. read more

Servant Jennica = "Bad Attitude" no more details can be described to describe Ms "Jennica" for serving people who traveled long distance to have one of the worst experiment at Texas RoadHouse in Duluth, MN. Jennica was not helpful and she wasn't funny by doing the opposite of what I requested. I told the management over the phone about what this great experience and they apologized to me and tried to make it work by offering me a free meal and I refused. I ordered a well done prime rib eye with some mushroom, the mushroom was like charcoal and the meat was rare, the cooker cooked the mushroom instead the meat, I requested a Coca-Cola and she got me another glass without asking me, I drank half of the the second glass and she asked me if I want another glass, I said no, thank you, then when ever she passes by me she kept asking me are you sure you don't want Coca-Cola multiple times, that wasn't funny at all. read more

They make you get on the saddle for a birthday song and the waitstaff was incredibly atttentive and personable. Price range in mod high range for duluth but still compettive. First of all - one of the reasons we love Texas Roadhouse is from location to location, the food and service are always great. The Duluth location did not disappoint ! We arrived about 5:00 pm on a Friday and were seated right away. As usual, the server took our drink order right away and we were ready to order our food. We started with a cactus blossom - shared around the table. We had the beef tips (beef in mushroom gravy, with sour cream over a bed of rice - yummy !) and the pork chops for our meal - both were fantastic. For the sides, we had mashed potatoes and green beans - again, both were great. The meals are large and no way were we able to finish all of them. Our server was top notch, as usual - drinks filled, meals arrived hot, several check backs during the meal, and very friendly ! The only complaint I might have would be that it is always so noisy in all of the Texas Roadhouse locations. Despite that, I'll say - Way to go Texas Roadhouse Duluth on a 5 out of 5 ! read more

As a mom to a little one with food allergies, I absolutely dread going out to eat with my family. When we ask for help with the menu because of those allergies, we are often met with rolled eyes by servers, cooks, and bartenders. I was anticipating another experience like most other restaurants so we went to eat about 3:30 and I tried to beat the rest of the family to the door so I could give the host a heads up to see if they'd be willing to accommodate since the nutrition menu isn't public on their website. I met Dustin at he front and he was so kind, I think he could tell I was nervous to start the conversation. He assured me that he'd work with the kitchen manager to make sure we ordered what my son could eat and wouldn't have any unpleasant surprises. He sat us at our table (ran over to it before we got there to clear off the peanuts) and made sure to follow up with us numerous times during our meal to offer guidance on meals our dairy free / peanut free son could have. Rian, our server was great- she was engaging with my dad, brother, husband, me, and especially my son. As always, our food at Texas Roadhouse didn't disappoint. This is your average Texas Roadhouse, except with employees that look like they wished they were dead. If not dead, at least not currently working at that place. I've been to the one in Coon Rapids at least 4 times and the employees have a lot more fun there. They're quite enthusiastic, in fact. The employees at the Duluth location did a very half-hearted dance when the time came (it's what they're supposed to do as a part of their job--line dancing to a certain song). I thought it was ironic that they have on a shirt that says "I (heart) My Job" and their attitudes and manner say something totally different. The food was OK. My ribeye steak was pretty good, but my boyfriend's roadkill was tiny. It's supposed to be 10 oz of meat but it looked like he was lucky if he got 6oz. We've gotten it at the Coon Rapids location before and it was huge. He also ordered steak fries as one of his sides and it was about half the size order of what we'd have gotten at CR. He was like, "Wow, this is what I'm supposed to eat?" It was our one meal of the day, and his meal was pretty pathetic. At least mine was decent. I ended up giving him at least 1/3 of my steak.... As for the rest of my meal, the side salad I ordered was good, but my "loaded" baked potato was pretty sad. I paid $.99 more for hardly anything. Anyhow, the buns were good, as usual, but that's not the only reason to go to a restaurant (save Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits....). All in all, I wish we had gone to one of the special restaurants in Duluth instead of this chain. It was just kind of meh compared to what we had been having in Duluth. I'd rather we had saved our money and calories for something better. Duluth is expensive, and I expect good food and service for my money. Every Duluthian RAVES about Texas Roadhouse and all it has to offer. All I hear is "FREE cinnamon buns" and "footloose line dancing." As I am now a college student going to college up here, I had to test this place out. We arrived there the first time and were presented with baskets of warm and toasty baked bread that had just been out of the oven. (Also came with cinnamon frosting to dip in!) The first time we had such a wonderful experience that we decided to come back. The next time we ate there and our dinner was not very good. Went here with some friends for dinner, in order to be seated we had to wait for everyone to get there first (even though it wasn't even busy). Music a bit too loud. They have delicious steakhouse rolls that they keep refilling! I had ordered a cheese burger which was good. I would recommend (however definitely have had better). A friend ordered the walleye as she had it before here and it was really good, but this time she had to send it back as it was way too fishy tasting. Customer service was very good. They were very willing to take back the food and get her something else, only charging her for the second meal. Would recommend the chicken fritter salad (very large portions for the price & tasty). I gave 4 stars because the server I had tonight had a very strange sense of humor. Example: at the end of the meal I went to give her my card, she was going to walk away and I told her to wait... She said (SUPER SARCASTICALLY), "Oh no problem, I have nowhere else to be on this beautiful night. I love being at Texas Roadhouse." ......
