This was my first time at an Texas Roadhouse. I heard so many great things about it not to mention there is one conveniently located near my home. I decided to place my order to go but stayed at the bar and had a few drinks as I waited. What I can say is that the customer service was top tier, I was greeted by everyone in the establishment (at some point during my visit). The staff all seemed to be cheerful and polite. The bar area has awesome happy hour and the drinks were excellent!!! When I got home to eat my food I was overwhelmed with excitement. My steak was cooked perfectly and has a savory taste! My side dishes were great too and the bread and cinnamon butta !!!!! Had my mouth drooling (so good! The best I've had ). Besides all the great flavors and warm greeting from the staff the environment (energy) inside is very nice. You get the feel that you're home with family there. Also their prices are very fair for the top tier quality of meats and produce. Will I visit again? ABSOLUTELY!

Went to Texas Roadhouse for a quick dinner in between events! This was my first time at any Texas Roadhouse. I don't know if all of them have this level of service but I was greeted with such kindness! To the point where I asked my server if this level of hospitality is a company thing like chic fil a? Haha my server was so attentive, patient and kind! Being my first time, I didn't know what to order. He told me to get the herb crusted chicken with mashed potatoes and a cup of chili. Great recommendation. I thought the food was great for a chain restaurant. Would definitely go back. So much food that we had to get to go containers! Restaurant was clean and table was well prepared with menus, utensils and a bag of peanuts, which I thought was a fun touch! Oh and because it was my first time, they gave me an envelope with coupons and even a sampler of sides. Such a friendly staff! If the stars were just service, it would be a 5 star easily!

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves on a hot July evening by stopping in for dinner. We were immediately seated and given our fresh yeast rolls with cinnamon butter to enjoy while we perused the menu. They are very fresh and quite delicious if you like your dinner rolls sweet. There are many drink specials available here and many times will have one of their margaritas but tonight we decided to skip the cocktails and just enjoy ice water. My husband chose the BBQ ribs with two sides (he chose a side salad and the buttered corn) which are quite generous in size. My entree was a filet steak salad which had numerous steak tips with salad greens, finely diced red onion, lots of diced bacon, grape tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles lightly tossed with homemade croutons (not boxed) and an Italian dressing with a side of blue cheese dressing, too. The steak was very tender, seasoned perfectly, and cooked medium as I requested. It was perfect for a hot evening meal. The portions are so generous we both had leftovers to bring home. With tax and tip the bill was just under $50! The roadhouse is a fun place to eat. Almost always busy which is a good sign. The staff are friendly and very efficient. This was our first family meal at a restaurant in two years because of the pandemic but also we were celebrating our 21 wedding anniversary and we came here for the first time although we have eaten at Texas before but not this location. This location was about 25 minutes away which puts us within 3 Texas restaurants but my some say come here because he has a lot of friends working at the Columbia location. All in all everything looks the same minus the peanut shells. I guess because so many people have peanut allergies you had to get rid of them. We selected our steaks I got a 22 ounce Porterhouse the wife 20 ounce. My son chickens fingers. The kid is almost 18 still eating like he's 12. Go figure. The meal was great and we enjoyed the service and all. I recommend this restaurant. Will come back again

This was a roller coaster ride, decided to do lunch, and it was not too busy for a Saturday afternoon . Cutting to the service, it was great! The food, well, here is where the ups and downs began. We went to typical meat and potatoes, the server took down everything correctly, and the kitchen had other ideas. The chili was great. It need a dollop of sour cream to make it even better. My husband's bbq ribs came out perfectly as well as the green beans with bacon. Both were perfect! The ribs were tender and meaty and a big portion. The steak fries were warm. For mine, I ordered a 12 Oz ribeye with a half order of ribs (plain-no sauce), and here they come fully lathered with bbq sauce. I let the server know, and she asked if I wanted a replacement, I declined, figuring hubby would eat them anyway. The steak was med rare, as ordered, but all that could be tasted was charred meat, not even the seasoning. She brought more out, but nothing could overcome that burnt taste. She asked if I wanted it replaced, again, I said no. At this point, it would be my husband had finished his meal, and I was at the kitchen's mercy. I finally did request a manager, and he was so pleasant. He took back the packed up steak to show the kitchen, I suppose, that was fine. He replaced it and also the sauce lathered ribs. On top of this, my husband gets aggravated and tells me I am too picky, sigh, just do it right, and we'll be fine. Probably will give them another chance later.

Had a taste for their rolls and that good honey butter so I made my way on over to TRH today. Haven't had a bad moment whenever I come here and today wasnt any different. Customers are spaced out and there is no more of the peanuts corner. Most likely because of COVID. I never ate from those peanuts anyway so I wasn't missing anything. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin with loaded sweet potato (no marshmallow) and veggies. Steak came out the way that I ordered. That brown sugar and butter mixed in with the sweet potato was the right touch. The Blue crush lemonade was pretty good as well.

My best friend treated me to a dinner celebrating my Birthday at the Dundalk location on 8/4/24 and our food was fabulous! We started off with the soft yeasty buttery rolls and the sweet honey cinnamon butter and our appetizer was the Cactus Onion Blossom, a golden-fried onion with Cajun sauce for dipping. For dinner we both ordered the Country Fried Sirloin which is a hand-battered, fresh-cut sirloin served crispy and golden, topped with a white extra cream gravy. And this was our first time eating this dish and it was not disappointing. We both ordered the creamy mashed potatoes with gravy, steamed perfect Broccoli and sweet buttery corn. For my Birthday dessert I ordered the Granny's Apple Classic. It's a homestyle slice of warm apple pie topped with vanilla ice cream and honey cinnamon caramel sauce. The only disappointment to this dessert was the slice of apple pie was very small. Our server Alex was great! He was very attentive to us during our visit. The only complaint I can make about this visit was there was a very large party on the other side of the restaurant, and they were celebrating a birthday as well. When it came time for the servers to bring the dessert and sing the birthday song the party were so loud screaming and shouting that I could not hear myself talk. That was so ridiculous and to the extreme. Everyone in the restaurant looked very annoyed. Now I can understand why a lot of restaurants stopped celebrating patron's birthdays with the staff. It is very annoying while you are out eating. The meal itself gets a rating of A+ but the restaurant ambiance gets a rating of C-.

Wednesday night, family dinner night! This weeks choice: Texas Road house. The atmosphere was a whimsical country barn yard steakhouse. A lot of barn siding and things of that nature. It was really busy. Both in terms of people and the decor. We were sat pretty promptly as the hostess made small talk to our seat. We were sat in a both that had plastic spacers in between each table. I always give kudos to positive COVID19 precautions. Our waiter by the name of Mary came up and was very charming. Her menu knowledge was not the best but I could tell it was probably one of her first few shifts there. So no harm, no foul? Right? We ordered our drinks and immediately put in the kid's food and apps. Whilst waiting for our boneless wings and kids nuggets and fries, it was a guest birthday. They began to exclaim, letting everyone know it was the young lady's birthday. We were instructed to "Stop what we were eating and give her a Texas Roadhouse, Yeeeh-haw.." to the young lady. Everyone in the restaurant participated, which was nice, until we gave out 3 more "Yeeh-haws" for the other birthdays in attendance. Yeah, super annoying. Just the boneless wings came out. We still went ahead and put in our entrees just to save time. We conversed for almost 20-30 mins. Our waiter came by again and asked "Was everything okay?" Yes, yes this conversation is terrific but where's the food? About ten mins after that our entrees came out. No kid's food still. *sigh* Mary apologized and some how came immediately back with our kid's food. The food was actually great and steak temps were on point. So maybe just a busy Tuesday? Over all this experience was decent. I would of gave them 4 stars but the wait and excessive "yeehawing" was too much to over look. If you're into that kind of thing, go I guess? But it's a hard pass, for me.

Every bite was rich and flavorful. We also had the Ojo De Bife (ribeye), and OMG. The steak was succulent, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Exactly how a ribeye should be. Between the fresh pasta and the steak, I honestly don't know which dish I liked more. This is one of those restaurants where I'm already thinking about what I'm ordering when I come back. We enjoyed the brussels sprouts to start which were a new menu item to us. They were perfectly cooked with a nice amount of crunch and a simple yet flavorful marinade. We then opted for the parrillada for two once again. It came out just as expected with a large house salad, heaping pile of hand cut fries, and a delicious selection of meats. My one complaint is some of the meat was a little undercooked for my preference but luckily, it's enough to share for two so my boyfriend got to enjoy those cuts. For $120, the parrillada for two is a generous serving of food. We had leftovers for days! It went perfectly with a South African red wine from the menu. We finished the meal off with their flan which was absolutely delicious (and came with a birthday candle and was taken off the check as a very generous birthday present!). I highly recommend adding La Barrita to your rotation of special occasion spots. The ambiance might be a little more laidback compared to other steakhouses in the area, but the neighborhood feel only makes the place more special IMO.

Ruxton is elegant without feeling pretentious, and it's the kind of restaurant that actually complements dressing up for the occasion. Whether you're celebrating something special or simply want an upscale night out, the ambiance makes the experience feel worthwhile. For dinner, I ordered the whole lobster, and I honestly underestimated what I was getting. The presentation alone was impressive--it was served on a board nearly the size of a large wooden cutting board. At around $200, it's definitely a splurge, but after tasting it, I completely understood why. The lobster was cooked perfectly, incredibly fresh, and so good that I somehow managed to finish the entire thing. We also ordered the Lemon Butter Prawns, and they deserve just as much recognition. The lemon butter sauce was rich, bright, and unlike anything I've had before. Easily some of the best prawns I've ever eaten. We shared a side of broccoli, which was good, but with everything else on the table, it simply wasn't the star of the meal. My partner ordered the Fried Lobster with mashed potatoes, and they absolutely nailed it. The lobster was fried perfectly--crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender inside without tasting greasy. That's not an easy balance to achieve, but Ruxton pulled it off. The cocktails were just as memorable. I ordered the Shake & Bake, which I'd describe as a tequila take on an Old Fashioned, and it ended up being one of my favorite drinks from our entire Baltimore food tour. My partner's dirty martini was also well made. The service was exceptional throughout the evening. Our team was attentive, professional, and consistently checked in without ever being intrusive. They helped make an already special evening feel even more memorable. Ruxton absolutely lived up to the hype. While it's perfect for celebrating special occasions, the quality of the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere has me looking forward to coming back just to explore more of the menu. From the moment we walked in, we were attended to pretty quickly. The handwritten letter waiting for us at the table was also a really nice and heartfelt touch. We ordered the Stiletto, and unfortunately, this was the worst item of the night. I'd give it a 5/10. The longer you drank it, the harder it was to enjoy because it kept leaving a rubbing alcohol aftertaste. The presentation was nice, though. For appetizers, we had the charbroiled oysters and the tater tots with caviar. Both were unique and really good in their own way. The oysters were hands down the best item of the night. They left us wanting more, and this is definitely something I'd order by the dozen lol. They reminded me so much of New Orleans-style Creole oysters. The tater tots were cooked really well. I personally didn't care for the caviar, but it was still a nice touch. For the main course, we ordered the porterhouse steak cooked medium, and it came out half medium half medium well. We also got the chimichurri and peppercorn sauces, and both were great choices. The mac and cheese with blue crab was very cheesy and flavorful. If you order it, I'd probably get it by itself because the crab was more of a garnish. Lastly, we had the crab and shrimp risotto. There was a very nice waitress working by the name of Brooke. It appears that she was the only waitress working on a Saturday afternoon. There was one bartender. So if you are in a rush, do not expect the fastest service. But Brooke was great very friendly and was willing to answer any question about menu items that we had. She brought out some bread and took our drink orders. I had a Stella in later ordered a old-fashioned. The old-fashioned was very good. Not too sweet and a generous amount of bourbon. They do not have the large single cubes of ice so it was traditional, crushed ice. But it was strong enough that it was not watered down as the ice melted. Crab soup was delicious delicious. It had a good flavor and you could taste the chunks of real crab meat. The crabcake was OK, it had a generous amount of jumbo lump crab meat, but it was a little on the bland side. The New York strip steak was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly medium. Warm pink center and a delightful char to the exterior. Did not need any additional seasoning or steak sauce. The sides were so so. I just had a baked potato. It was nothing fancy, just a plain baked potato with a dollop of sour cream. Overall, a solid place. It appears the locals enjoy it because the bar packed with people who all knew each other and it seems like they come quite frequently. The menu has some pretty good weekend specials. We ordered appetizers for dinner 2 crab pretzels and crispy brussels. The crab pretzel was soft, delicious and had the perfect amount of old bay, crab meat + cheese! The brussel were crispy, with priscuitto, a homemade dijon mustard sauce and gorgonzola cheese. For three of us this was perfect and delicious! The restaurant is beautiful and on the water. One of the things I really love is that you can sit inside but with the garage doors open you feel like you're on the patio. Outdoors there are benches, yard games and mini golf. And while there was live music that was ending for the evening it didn't feel overly loud or overwhelming. My only complaints about this evening were not the fault of the restaurant but we did have a few flies around our table that were annoying. And I was really hoping to have an egg custard snowball with marshmallow and they were out of marshmallow :)! I would 100% visit again and continue to try different menu items!

Who knew you could find a beachy vibe on the water in Essex. Well, I was pleasantly surprised at…read morethe views and food Charlys Waterfront had to offer. In need of a new restaurant for happy hour with a friend, I stumbled upon Charlys Waterfront. Upon arrival I immediately felt like I was transported to restaurant on the beach. A nice outside area and bar for lounging late into the summer nights, mini golf for the kiddies, and good drinks and food. Our bartender was great and very attentative, given it was her first night behind the bar. And the crushes were quite tasty. The menu had a decent amount of seafood items given we were dining on the water. And the star of the night were the nachos. The chips seems to be house fried and the cheese sauce was divine. Now that I've discovered this hidden gem on the water I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit to Charlys Waterfront and an opportunity to relax near the water with a grapefruit crush in hand.

Right from the start, our server, Chuck, made us feel welcome. We mentioned a food allergy, and while he wanted to make sure he understood everything correctly, he quickly brought over his manager, Maria, to assist. Maria was incredibly thorough and went above and beyond, even showing me ingredient information to ensure everything was safe. That level of care and attention was greatly appreciated. For dinner, we ordered the Maryland crab soup, which was hearty, thick, and packed with flavor--not watered down at all. We also shared a side salad that was surprisingly huge and fresh. The crab cakes were outstanding, loaded with lump crab meat and served with delicious sides. We also tried the rockfish special, which was almost like a crab cake made with fish--unique, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, but the desserts we saw being served to other tables looked amazing and definitely worth trying on a future visit. Both Chuck and Maria were attentive throughout our meal, and Chuck's friendly, kind personality made the experience even better. Excellent food, outstanding service, and great attention to customer needs. We will absolutely be back the next time we're in Baltimore!

Made my reservation for party of one at By the Docks When I arrived. I was greeted quickly (bless her) and explained I was a little late. While I was waiting for her to see me she received a call and made a comment about "who books a reservation 15 minutes ahead of time". (Well that's actually what I did.) and when I said that's actually what I did. The hostess looked at me and said "well you don't count" smiled and then she then sat me. My server, Leslie greeted me. I ordered my food (crab and lobster egg rolls), and a glass of the house white wine (a yummy Pinot Grigio) to pair perfectly with my seafood egg rolls. The interior was bright and open with bronze and wood accents The wine came out about five minutes later and then I proceeded to wait for roughly 30 minutes for the appetizer that was meant to be my entrée to come out. the appetizer came out hot and fresh, chock full of lump crab and lobster laying on a bed of the Asian slaw.. shoo mercy, everything tasted great, but by then my wine was empty. Parched lil bit. I opted for the strawberry cheesecake. (Shout out to Yia Yia's bakery, y'all know your desserts!) People, It was the size of my head and creamy and light and the tartness of the strawberries was on point. I mean it was so good, it'd make ya push your granny in the creek, good! When Leslie brought out my check she let me know they comped the wine for the delay on the egg rolls.. Well shucks... that, y'all, was great service recovery. Turned my first experience here from meh to well, bless em... Hot tasty food, (even a delay can happen on the best of nights), and a yummy dessert.. By the Docks.... We will be back!

Vic was our server and he was wonderful, answering questions and very knowledgeable. Michelle was the mgr on the evening we were there and came out when we wanted to rave over the meal... when she found out we were new to the area, she came back to the table with her top picks for dining in the area.
