Four stars for the food & five plus plus stars for service! On a busy Tuesday evening, hubby & I sat at the bar. Laurie greeted us with a brilliant smile & offered us a basket of deliciously warm buns & a small bag of roasted peanuts. Hubby ordered a tall Gansett for $3.99. Seriously, he was in heaven! The cinnamon sugar butter is so delicious with those warm buns. We just had to ask for another basket! We both selected the hand-cut 6 oz sirloin with two sides. I ordered my steak medium rare & it came out perfect. My sides were a caesar salad & steak fries. I don't normally wax poetic about a salad but the lettuce was super fresh, ice cold & crispy. It was the perfect amount of dressing (& the other bartender asked if I wanted more - no but it was so nice to be asked). I didn't confirm but I think the croutons are made from the day old buns as they were airy & light. The steak fries were just a little crispy on the outside & super creamy on the inside. YUM! Hubby ordered his steak medium well & topped it with sautéed mushrooms, onions & green peppers. His sides were a fully loaded baked potato & the steamed veggies which included broccoli & carrot coins. He savored every bite! While the food was excellent (& at a great price - $12.99 for the Monday-Thursday 3-6pm early bird special), it really was the staff that made the meal. Laurie was bubbly & attentive. We engaged with the other bartender dude who was super friendly, the food delivery girl made sure we had everything & delivered the extra condiments with a smile & the manager came by to say hi. Even my water was refilled before I had to ask. Hubby asked for A1 & Laurie ran to the kitchen to get it. When we inquired about a bottle behind the bar, she told us it was the Texas Roadhouse steak sauce &, as we were bagging up our leftovers, she got a small container & put some in so hubby could taste it at home. It's been a hot second since we've eaten at Texas Roadhouse but we will definitely be back soon! NOM NOM NOM #YUM

Great service! I ordered the buffalo wings and I was not a fan, not one of their good menu items I guess.

Everyone is sooooo nice and our server Nathan was outstanding! Delicious food and chill ambiance! I love that the TVs had sports on them, there was football and hockey! We will be coming back, we came here when we moved into the area and our second visit was just as awesome as our first visit! Love the manager, Missy, super nice and friendly and just everyone was nice!!!

    Cute interior.

There was a strong Korean presence, which always feels like a good sign when you're looking for something authentic and a bit outside the norm. I was especially excited to try gopchang (grilled intestines), and it ended up being both new and oddly familiar. The texture is definitely different, but not off-putting at all. When you think about it, sausage comes from similar ingredients, so it's not as foreign as it might sound. Having had sweetbreads and offals before, some of the flavor notes felt recognizable, which made it easier to appreciate. Other items, like the thin-sliced brisket, were more familiar and just as enjoyable. Everything we had was fresh and well-prepared. The space itself is clean, bright, and welcoming, with K-pop videos playing and a solid selection of Korean drinks like soju and Milkis to round things out. The side dishes were creative and accessible, including corn cheese, steamed eggs, house salad, and japchae noodles. The egg fried rice was excellent as well, and a great complement to the meats. Our group ranged from adventurous to more cautious eaters, and everyone genuinely enjoyed the experience. Cooking at the table took a minute to get used to, but it was part of the fun and easy to pick up. Service was friendly and helpful throughout. The ventilation was very good and not overly smoky, which can sometimes be an issue at Korean BBQ spots. It is a bit on the pricier side, but for a special occasion or a night out to try something new, it felt justified. This works well either as a fun date night or with a small group so you can try a variety of dishes. Even dessert was a highlight, creative and well executed. This is the kind of place that feels like a special night out, and we would absolutely go back.

She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

The restaurant wasn't too busy, but there was a steady crowd. People were either dining in or picking up to-go orders. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, so there are plenty of areas to dine. The bartender was friendly and helpful. I decided to go with the seared salmon, Brussels sprouts, and corn risotto. Thankfully, it wasn't much of a wait because I was hungry. My food came out fresh and hot. Everything was really delicious. My only complaint was there were a few flies swarming around me, which made my dining experience less enjoyable. I spent most of my time trying to swat them away. The bartender even moved me to another spot, but they still followed me. While I really enjoyed my food and the service, it might be a good idea for them to invest in small table fans to keep the flies away. Otherwise, my food was tasty, and the service was great!

Nowhere does it say that a certain choice will incur a higher charge... feeling a little scammed here! Here is the five star review I left BEFORE getting the check but I have to say it left a bad taste in my mouth hence the 3 stars: A great spot for some great BBQ! I say this as someone from the South-- I do think they did an excellent job with their BBQ and their name makes me laugh because it feels almost like a disclaimer. I got the pulled pork plate and it was delicious-- the cornbread had maple syrup on it and it was so yummy! I got sweet potato fries as my side and they were so good (maybe some of the best I've had?) I saw someone else had mac n cheese and it looked good so I ordered mac n cheese as well-- also delicious!! My boyfriend got the brisket which was great and enough to take home for a second meal. The plates are a great bang for your buck, not to mention delicious!! The vibe is like dark/casual/BBQ-- relaxed and spacious seating. Service was good too. There's parking outside that can probably fit 6-7 or so cars-- we got lucky and snagged a spot. There's some street parking around too though.

It also appeared that the Kimchi had been unattended all day at the appetizer table. The sesame oil lacked the expected nutty flavor. The fresh mixed vegetables, fish, and meats were enjoyable. My only negative comment, the appetizer/ sauce bar that I was critical of in September hasn't changed . Management really needs to change that set up. It's just not hygienic, when you lean over the get a plate or bowl stored under that bar, your face is inches away from the unprotected buckets of sauce, it's not a good set up and needs to be changed. It's not like fixing this set up would cost a lot of money to fix and it really should be changed immediately.
