This will be my first Yelp review. So you can see I normally don't do this but under the circumstances, here I am. I ask for my Sirloin to be cooked well done, no pink and NO blood. I told my server I can't eat it if there is blood on the plate. Guess what? It was bad. Really bad & bloody. Cooked more like medium. The floor manager stopped at the table and asked how is everything? I showed her my steak, and she agreed. So of course I sent it back. (That's always scary) The rest of my table is done eating and finally my steak is back. (15-20 minutes) She brings my steak and as soon as she put it front of me I could smell the burnt offering. I'm not joking. I looked at her and said, look at this, that's really done. I tapped on my steak like I was knocking on the door. I asked her to do it too, but she would not. I told her to take it back and would gladly pay for what I did eat. (salad and baked potato) . She said she would bring a new one but by then my entire dinner party was finished eating. So I told her no. (Did she really expect me to wait another 15-20 minutes? I think she did !) To me when you go out with another couple, everyone should eat at the same time. I think it's rude to eat after everyone else is finished. Afterall isn't that why people go out to dinner together is to eat dinner at the same time? Or is it my old fashioned self ? So anyway she comped what I had eaten. Now then! Since when is well raw or burnt? Do their cooks just set it on the fire and let it go to whatever finished product and then just serve it anyway. Obviously we are dealing with minimum wage people and not real cooks. But come on. I asked specifically to have it cooked the way I wanted. Afterall he did ask everyone of us "How do you want that cooked?" Why ask if the cook is just going to do whatever? The floor manager wasn't very happy, but I think it was me she wasn't very happy with. All we or any of us want is a product that equals the cost. We don't want your Idea of what we should eat. If you can't follow directions and warnings from a customer then shut the doors. I'm really not being picky because I can't eat bloody meat. Ps. The drinks were cold. read more

No complaints! They were busy, our group put our name on a waiting list and we waited about 20 minutes for a table. The service was great bread and salad was delicious. The steak was good but just a little over cooked still had a good flavor. The steak sauce in the table though was disgusting, but that's just my personal opinion. This is my favorite restaurant because the staff is always very kind, and they almost always get our order right. The one time they didn't, they reimbursed us and apologized profusely. My husband and I went today, I asked for extra ranch (because their ranch is bomb) and the waitress gave me this. So awesome! Firstly, loved my server. She was amazing, sweet, and always attentive. However, I came here to enjoy a nice dinner freshly postpartum and one of my rare times away from my baby. I ordered a 8oz steak, medium. When I cut into it, it was more than well done. I asked nicely for them to make it again and just shook it off, trying to enjoy my night. I waited over 30 minutes for my new steak and had them make it to go. When I got into the car (it was almost closing) I checked the steak to find out it was rare, if not that, then blue rare. This used to be my favorite place......sadly to say that has change. I've been a few times here lately with a few hiccups but tonight was absolutely horrible. I brought my mother here tonight for the first time for her 69th birthday. To say that I left disappointed tonight would be an understatement! First I received an incomplete meal and a cup of very dry Mac because there was no cheese and I was missing my rib. My daughter ordered a combo that included steak and shrimp but had no shrimp. So they bring back the Mac this time with cheese so I finally start to eat although the rib was still missing. I cut into my chopped steak that I ordered medium well smothered in gravy, lo and behold it's not only well done but overly done. I ask my mom to go ahead and cut into her medium rare steak that was looking pretty charred to find that guess what? It was well done plus two! Still no rib or shrimp at this point. I get up and ask for a manager who comes over and I alert to what's the problem. The waiter comes to bring the shrimp finally! The manager took the food back and comes back maybe 10-12 minutes later and he also has the rib but guess what? The chopped steak with gravy that he brought back was smothered in cheese Instead. So it was taken back to be remade. Not once did the manager offer an apology or anything. The food finally returns and at this point I just wanted to leave so I asked for to go boxes because I was upset and my appetite had completely diminished. Lets just say that I will not be back. How many chances do you get on not cooking good food? Well I can understand every once in a while, but after 3 times you obviously don't know how to cook. Burnt hamburgers are unacceptable. Tough chicken unacceptable. Rotten lettuce unacceptable. Please take notes, this is all about learning how to cook good food. One of our favorite Texas Roadhouses was chosen today to celebrate my wife's 74th birthday with her family. We got there at 11:30 to avoid the rush. The food was excellent and our waiter was exemplary. However we were a group of 8 and because there was a group of 15 just before us we had to ARBITRARILY wait 30 minutes because - the manager explained - corporate required a 30 minute wait between large groups. Just a rule. Empty tables. Plenty of staff. Wonderful front desk. This caused a damper for my wife and all of us as we waited 45 minutes ARBITRARILY to FOLLOW A CORPORATE "POLICY". The corporation obviously does not like larger groups so we will avoid this chain for all our future parties. read more

Our table of 9 received half of the guest dinners. The other half waited so long that the first half of our table finished their dinner. We waited over and hour to get those dinners. The first set of rolls were the only ones that were given to us. They never asked if we wanted more. After all of this, our steaks were just "ok". Went on a Saturday for an early family dinner. We checked the waitlist on the app and there wasn't any wait time. By the time we arrived, 20 minutes later, the restaurant was packed. Wait times were at least 20 to 30 minutes out. The host offered us a card for a free appetizer if we were to take a seat at the bar. We obliged. The bartender/server was named Sydney. Excellent, and I do mean excellent service. We were well taken care of. My family ordered their usual...American Cheeseburger for my middle son and New York Strip, cooked medium, for my wife and youngest son. Steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. I decided to try the Salmon. Great choice. Cooked beautifully. Crispy skin and flaked apart perfectly. As far as the ambiance...Loud. With everything going on around you and as busy as the restaurant is, you would expect it to be as loud as it is. To me it is a great atmosphere. Definitely will come again. read more

I ordered the chicken Caesar salad from Texas Roadhouse online September 26, 2025. Estimated time for pick up was 8:15pm. After standing outside for over fifteen minutes, the food was finally done at 8:32pm. I mistakenly didn't check my order before I left the restaurant (it was late and I was coming from out of town), so I went straight to my hotel. I opened my bag to find this disgusting, wilted, stale salad. So I had to wait an additional 17 minutes for my food, pay almost $20 for a food that clearly had been sitting out for a while and was slimy? This is the worst Texas Roadhouse I have ever been to. Upon our arrival we were told there was a two hour wait before we could be seated. To be honest, we only waited about 25 mins before they sat us at our table. We had an AWESOME server, Christian, she was very attentive and quick.. I ordered the blooming onion, you simply can't go wrong with this appitizer. The prime rib was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Of course it was cooked medium rare. It may be the best prime rib I've ever had. Not to mention, the bread came out hot and soft. This was hands down the worst dining experience I've ever had at a Texas Roadhouse, and it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I don't know if I'll ever go back. I ordered a 12oz filet medium. Pretty straightforward, right? The first steak came out medium well to well. Completely wrong. The manager apologized and took it back. Fair enough--I figured mistakes happen. But then it came back the second time basically raw, rare as could be. At this point, I told them medium rare would've been fine, but somehow they couldn't even get close to that. By the time I finally got something I could eat, my family had already been sitting there done with their meals for nearly an hour and a half. Think about that--an hour and a half just to get a steak cooked anywhere near right. My wife's steak was fine, my kid's meal was fine, but mine was a total train wreck. What made this even worse was the manager's attitude. At first, she was apologetic, but as the situation dragged on, her friendliness evaporated. Instead of owning the issue and making it right, she treated me like I was the problem. I wasn't asking for a freebie, wasn't demanding a discount--I paid full price. All I wanted was what I ordered. That's it. But instead, I was made to feel like an inconvenience for expecting basic competence in the kitchen. The bottom line: they failed to deliver the one job I asked of them, then acted like I should just accept it. This wasn't just a bad steak--it was a total breakdown in customer service. I visited the Edwardsville 3 times in 8 days. 2 of those visits were quite disappointing. The first one I visited on MLK day. This particular day I thought I would change my dinner time to take advantage of the specials they have if you order before 5:00 on Monday through Thursday. I got there at 4:15. Placed my order with the waitress specifying I would like the sirloin meal on special. It was only a $3 savings but what the heck. I was done eating and received my check before 5:00. The receipt didn't show the $3 savings. I question let it and the waitress said that the manager wasn't honoring that special since it was MLK day. REALLY? There were no signs, and it wasn't mentioned to me when i ordered. I let it go. This is pretty petty for a corporation this size. The $3 didn't make me or break me but it really irritated me that I rush to get there in time only to be told the special want happening. Let just say for example that 100 people got there before 5:00 and wanted to save $3 on their meal. That would be $300. This is a pretty minor cost to honor to keep customers happy. I don't know if this was a corporate decision or an individual restaurant decision but it was ridiculous the way they handled it. Like I said I was going to let it go but 8 days later I had another untapped at this place. I will follow up shortly with that complaint. read more

Visited this restaurant on 1/31/26 around 2:30 pm. The experience was very disappointing. Took 30 minutes to get a beer after we ordered at our table. When the server brought out the salads, they only brought 3 of the 4 ordered. Took a long time to get the other salad. When the meals were delivered they only brought out 3 of the 4 meals. The steaks were not cooked as ordered. It took a long time for the last meal to be delivered and the steak which was ordered as medium rare was cooked well done. The server discounted our bill 10% which was not enough to offset the poor service and quality of the food. read more

Overall the food is good! You can never go wrong with their hot rolls and cinnamon honey butter! Expect to be a wait from anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour so make sure to plan and reserve a table before if possible. Usually always pact and loud inside but that's normal. Sometimes it can be a fight of constant reminders to the waiter (or waitress) in getting something specific but just the wait to get in and to get your food is the worst part. Went here recently for the first time and we enjoyed ourselves, for the most part. Our server was great and attentive and checked in with us frequently. The restaurant was a bit loud, but it's about what you expect from a busy chain. And overall, our food was pretty good. The rolls and the blooming onion were by far the stars of the show. My chicken critters and baked potato were also great. Unfortunately I got the add-on of a small sirloin and it was super tough. It hurt my jaw just to chew it, and it was difficult to cut through. My husband didn't have the same issue but he got the ribeye. I also got a Caesar salad as one of my sides but didn't eat much as it was pretty flavorless. Overall we had plenty of food (and leftovers) and enjoyed most of it, and we'll probably be back to try other things sometime. read more

Our server Caleb was no pleasant. Would not let my 7 year old daughter order the kids meal because she looked older than 12. She is 7!! Just because she's a little chubby doesn't mean she needs an adult meal. Very rude. My meal with onions had a piece of plastic in with the onions, which I was not pleased about. Our server did not fill our drinks up until they were completely empty. And didn't take our empty cups away when he came. He seemed careless and like he hated his life. Well he made me hate mine for the time I was at Texas Roadhouse. This use to be my favorite place. So today me and my husband went to eat. I ordered a special for me and the hubby. So I asked the waiter is this $13.79 he say yes so I ordered for both of us the same thing. So we ate our salad and we always take the dinner home for later I ask for Togo plates and the check. He drop the check it was $76 and some change. I'm like wtf we only spend $40-50 dollars every time we go. I'm still pissed off because I asked before I even ordered just to make sure. I have never and would never order a $35 steak. And 2 $35 steaks a piece that's a damn week worth of food. Our waitress was fantastic, the food was amazing. But we were freezing. No one around us even took their coats off. The weather outside on Thursday, November 21 was horrible with the worst wind ever. The chill factor was in the 20's and then to walk into a great restaurant and there wasn't much heat at all. The parking lot didn't seem too full and when entering there was no one in the waiting area. We had 5 adults and 2 kids and were told they couldn't seat us until 7pm. 3 hrs to wait on a table? Went to Texas Roadhouse today to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. Arrived around 11 and had only a brief wait to be seated. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. Our server was attentive and polite. The steaks were all cooked to the correct temperature and everything tasted good, except I didn't really care for the cheese on the potatoes skins, I prefer shredded cheese or a cheese sauce vs sliced cheese...this cheese almost had a rubbery feel to it. Another thing to note is the Blue Crush lemonade is good, but very sweet and a little thick from the syrup. After 2 glasses I was ready to switch to water. Also my father-in-law had his steak loaded with onion, mushrooms, and cheese and he commented that there were way too many onions (consider asking them to go light on the onions if you want to avoid this). Came here with a friend for dinner. We arrived around 3pm, was told it would be a 25-35 minute wait for a table, but seating was available at the bar 1st come, 1st served. We sat at bar. It took about 10 mins for bartender to take our drink order (she was quite busy), then about another 10 minutes for her to take our food order. In the meantime a bread basket was a brought. Delicious. The best part of the meal. I try to take into consideration these days that most restaurants are short staffed. We both ordered the grilles shrimp dinner. Can come with or without rice and 2 sides. I got rice with mine, my friend did not. I had mashed potatoes with white gravy and corn as my sides. My friend got baked potato and steamed vegetables (baby carrots and broccoli). The shrimp was described as seasoned, grilled and served with lemon pepper butter, melted. When my plate was placed in front of me, I noticed that 3 of the shrimp seemed burned. Not blackened, burned. Picked one up, it was hard. So I called the bartender over and explained could I get 3 replacement shrimp for the 3 burned ones. Within a few minutes she had brought the replacement shrimp. Well, they were also overcooked. Very dry. My friend commented that her "steamed vegetables" were hard - not steamed much at all. She said her baked potato was overdone, mushy. Before we were finished an male employee came to ask if our dinners were ok. I just shook my head no. He inquired. I explained my shrimp, and his reply was that the seasoning was "blackened" and when cooked it took on the char look. I already know this and explained the shrimp weren't blackened rather burned. He went on with his explanation and I then asked why my friends' veggies were not steamed long enough. He replied they do steam them, but if you want them "soft" you have to ask for them to be "double steamed". What?!?! I thought steamed vegetables were supposed to be soft. Let me put it this way - if they had been steamed why did the carrots still have the "white" exterior like when you take baby carrots out of the package? I wanted to say save your lousy excuses for someone who may buy them. Didn't want to complain too much bc I know a lot of businesses ARE short staffed. But any cook/chef worth their salt, no matter how busy, should have known better than to send burned food out on a plate. The picture I am submitting with this review was of the replacement shrimp. This is a wonderful place for a great night out.. My wife and I went in right after opening and were seated right away. We were served fresh rolls and butter as we sat down. Hannah served us, took our order, and brought our drinks within 2 or 3 minutes. We ordered the Cactus Blossom as an appetizer and it was presented hot and delicious within 15 minutes. Steaks came 15 minutes later, all hot and tender. Hannah checked on us several time during dinner. Great food and 5-star service! We'll be back. They have the cake for best Cesar salads! Of course the steaks are always amazing, tender, and juicy. I ordered this huge steak and I finished every bite. It was to die for. All their sides are amazing, and the rattlesnake bites, chefs kiss! they may be on a 2 hour wait, but rightfully so, I do appreciate their call ahead setting on yelp since they don't do reservations. This isn't a great place for a large group because they don't have the seating for it and you'll be split up so that is something to keep in mind. read more

We were seated where I was able to watch the food go to the window but just sit there. Two hours later, we received our food that was so cold that the health department would have issued some violations. When the floor manager came to the table, he didn't seem to care. The main draw was it was my daughter's 12th birthday and she wanted the birthday experience, with which they did a GREAT job. Our server - Mady - was fantastic. She was sweet, attentive and had a great personality. Overall, the food was just so salty! The kids shared a steak which they liked, but the fries were completely over-salted! My husband's grilled shrimp and my portabella chicken were ok, but again, just so crazy salty.
