Redrock shrimp with rice and broccoli
    Timira M.

Came here on a Sarurday around 1pm for lunch with my Dad. We were seated immediately upon entering and thr hostess was nice. They sat us by the kitchen which was a bit loud but not too bad. I ordered the redrock shrimp dish with rice ans broccoli. The shrimp was definitely over seasoned and a bit salty. The rice was good and so was the broccoli. The service was good. Only taking one star off because of the over salted shrimp but it was still good with the sauce it comes with. As always until next time...

Food was good. Our server was great! I wasn't a fan of the shrimp appetizer, but the wings were great! My brothers steak was cooked perfect, mine was over cooked. Over all a good experience.

Flo's filet with asparagus and sweet potato

After working all day without a break I was starving. Felt like steak and this definitely got the spot. The hostess and waiter were really nice, professional, attentive but not lurking. My food came quickly. Flo's 6 oz filet with no seasoning (watching sodium atm) with a sweet potato and asparagus. Everything was delicious. My asparagus was cooked a bit more than I normally like but I loved the flavor and, tbh my is probably Al Dante. Add Longhorn's "famous" bread and a glass of Reisling. I'm great. Will be back later this week in fact.

We came in for an early dinner. Our server was fantastic. Such personality and dedication to good service. The food was really good. One of our steaks was overcooked but the manager delivered a perfectly cooked replacement. The restaurant was quiet when we came in and got louder with business. We enjoyed this spontaneous meal.

There was so much salt on the potato and the steak it completely ruined our meal. Then they want to act like oh that's our procedure. 3 hours later I can't drink enough water nor sleep cause of the ridiculous amount of salt on all 3 meals

Steaks were cooked beautifully and seasoned just as well. No complaints on the sides either. The Parmesan Crusted Spinach dip definitely stole the show! It was so good. It came with pita chips that were fried. I wasn't a fan of those as they seemed over cooked. Much better to use the free bread to dip.

Full rack of Baby Back Ribs

I don't know why I've never reviewed Longhorn. It's our go to place when we are in Fairview Heights (about once a quarter). We've never had a bad meal here. I love the French Onion soup. The broth has the hearty flavor that I like in this kind of soup. I tried baby back ribs for the first time this visit. The full rack. They are well sauced and they give some extra. I couldn't pick them up to eat because the meat totally fell off each bone, so it's a fork style rib. Very good flavor and very tender. My wife had a filet. She commented that we've never had a steak there that wasn't cooked to the right temperature, we are pretty picky about that. Finally, the baked potatoes are always good. Loaded with lots of stuff and salt crusted. Sometimes service can be a little slow, but we would highly recommend it.

I came up Wednesday after a job interview it was actually very good great service. Michelle my server she was very nice n helpful I appreciate that helping people with what they want to order every thing was clean staff was nice. Except the hostess she had a attitude towards me when I came in no one was around to seat me I said can someone seat me she raises her voice and said I was cleaning a table ok but I have been a hostess you wait for people to come in n seat them idk where they got her. Rude she was. My steak patty had onions on it I'm allergic to onions told my server took it back came out with more onions on it my baked potato was cold but it was replaced n hot. But out side of that it was wonderful I'll be back

    Misleading Wait Line Text
    Felita M.

We love Longhorn. Went there all the time pre-Covid. Last visit, upon arriving at the hostess station, was told the wait was 45 minutes for a table. And BTW, you can't wait inside. Oh-okay. We patiently waited in our cars for about 45 minutes So , couple of weeks later, to avoid the wait, we checked in online. See the picture of the "wait in line" text. Imagine my "ultimate pissedoffness" to arrive after 20 minutes, checked in with the hostess and was told very nonchalantly "your wait is 30 minutes" Huh? Wait... what? Once you arrive and checkin, THAT IS WHEN YOUR WAIT BEGINS. WHAT THE F? Longhorn, you gotta do better. I totally expected more from your establishment. I bet Outback doesn't do a "bait and switch" waitlist tactic like this one. Let me find out. Catch you on the flip side

For what they aim for and the prices they charge, I think they could improve. The restaurant is the same classic building they've always been in, I do appreciate the historic vibe. Service overall is not terrible, but that's where it fell short for me. The food is above average but below great. All of which could easily be refined with just a little bit more effort. Server was unpolished for trying to be a nice steakhouse. I'll leave it at that. Cocktails I ordered were basic, no complaints there. I did request and get served what I wanted, but the receipt rang up a different higher priced vodka, whatever. The food was good. We had the marinated mushroom appetizer. I did intend for the stuffed mushroom. I didn't complain once it got to the table, not worth it. It was great. Main was chateaubriand for two. Sides were Brussels sprouts, French fries, and vegetables. The side dishes were all great. The steak we asked cooked rare, but it came out cold. The server did scoff at us when we initially requested rare, trying to push us to med-rare, I said "then let's make it rare+, like 128° center" and server said they would note exactly that. It came out as pictured.. we ate it all and enjoyed. I do like the char/grill taste with the Andria's sauce. Must ask for extra dipping sauce. I did buy two bottles of sauce at the store to take back home with me out of state. I didn't complain on anything and still tipped cash above 20%. I hadn't eaten here since 2019 and also got the chateaubriand back then. I think I will stick to coming back once every 7+ years for nostalgia and taking the sauce home instead.

The inside of the restaurant is super cute and currently decorated for Christmas. Everything was very clean, including the bathrooms, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. For a steakhouse, the steaks lacked flavor, and one was undercooked ordered medium but came out rare. We had to add salt just to make it palatable, and the ribeye was excessively fatty. We understand ribeyes can be fatty, but only about a quarter of the steak was actually worth eating. The chicken piccata was good, though the portion was small (which was fine for me). The French onion soup was unusual it was creamy, which we weren't expecting. The standout dish of the night was the toasted ravioli, which was excellent. The birthday dessert was a really nice touch and truly made his mom's night. Our server also sent my significant other home with a cheesecake, which was very much appreciated. Overall, we won't be returning. Spending $260 for four people on subpar food just wasn't worth it, despite the great service.

We settled on two cheeseburgers, French fries, and fountain drinks. He and I both were surprised that the burger tasted good and was seasoned well. We both agreed the fries could of been given a bit more love on the seasoning. The staff was friendly and the wait wasn't long. I believe the total all together was about $26 which is a little bit on the prices side for something so simple. If you are in the mall and looking for something quick to bite I would recommend the burgers only. Not sure how the other food tastes since this is all we ordered.

It was on a pita bread (mediocre tasting) and came with a little bit of ice berg lettuce, some sliced white onions, 2 little sliced tomatoes, and a sad excuse for Tzatziki sauce (super thick sour cream) which was about a teaspoon. The Falafel wasn't in ball form but mushed into pieces as if they were trying to make it stretch. It was so dry that I asked for more sour cream, I mean tzatziki sauce and they had the nerve to charge $0.83 for a small 3 ounce cup. Needless to say, not happy and will not be going back again. There are better Gyro places in St Louis for that price!
