Sirloin with shrimp, sweet baked potato (loaded)
    Jacqueline F.

I just love me some Texas Roadhouse. Came here to celebrate my birthday with the family. I love how you can get a nice sized ribeye with some shrimp, and 2 sides all for about $30. Perfect place to take your family for a nice meal that won't break the bank. The ribeye I got was a nice sized portion and cooked deliciously. I love love love the baked sweet potato - make sure you get the loaded version!! And the dinner rolls are to die for. Make sure you eat them while it's hot and fresh and with that delicious butter spread that comes with it! The servers even came by and celebrated my birthday with a saddle that they made me ride lol. The whole place is very friendly, very chill and laid back. The restaurant overall is a great vibe and family friendly.

This location is fairly new and I've never been to Texas Roadhouse before and decided to see what the hype is all about. To be expected, it was super packed. Even with that the wait time was only about 20-30 minutes, so we didn't have to wait long. We were seated before the estimated wait time which was nice. Even though the restaurant was packed, it seemed clean and well put together. We were seated and I got to try the infamous dinner rolls with the cinnamon butter, and it was worth all the hype. Warm buttery rolls helped the cinnamon butter melt and together they were delightful. Our waiter was nice and offered his opinion on the cocktails, which was nice. For my cocktail, I got the Jamaican cowboy but asked for it slushed, and it was really good! It came in a decent size, but I was so tempted to order another! For my meal I ordered a half rack of ribs, loaded baked potato and corn. Everything was great besides the corn, I've never had bland corn but this corn missed the mark on flavor. No big deal though because I enjoyed everything else! My son ordered the kids meal mini burger sliders with fries and apple juice. He really enjoyed his meal, I snagged a fry and I have to say that fry was one of the best fries I've had at a restaurant to date! I'm happy I finally got to try Texas roadhouse and look forward to coming back soon!

    16oz sirloin

Texas Roadhouse never disappoints when it comes to hearty, flavorful meals. I ordered the 16oz sirloin steak cooked perfectly to my liking, it was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Adding a little A1 sauce on top just took it over the edge. The mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth, and the house salad was fresh with a nice balance of toppings and dressing. And of course, the free bread and cinnamon butter are as amazing as ever. Definitely one of the highlights of eating here! The service was great, friendly, and attentive. The only hiccup was that we were given two dirty plates. Overall, good experience, good food, and good vibes.

Caked on BBQ sauce with other dirty dishes.

To start they had no service ware as we sat. Then our waitress brought out the service and plates. The plates were caked with bbq sauce. We showed this to the waitress and she asked if the plates came like that? Mind you we haven't even put in a drink order, yeah you served us dirty dishes. No apologies didn't send the manager to make them aware of quality control. Then we ordered our food she was so intent on up selling us a fried jalapeño or adding toppings to our meals didn't pay attention to the details. When our food arrived we were missing several items, and they got it wrong twice. My wife's steak was cooked medium rare not medium well. She said, not to send it back too afraid what they might do since everything else that has happened. My son found a bbq brush plastic hair in his ribs. So, disappointed because we do enjoy Texas Roadhouse but I would stay away from this one in Gurnee, Illinois.

I've been here a so many times and I've enjoyed every experience except for this last time. We were there for my daughter's b-day which made it special but the waitress never noticed despite my daughter wearing a b-day crown and sache and had to ask for the traditional b-day horse saddle at the very end of our dining. The service was bad as I didn't receive 2 items which I mentioned and the waitress tried giving it to us after we were leaving. I was so angry I didn't even notice until the next day on my email receipt that she put items from the table next to us on my bill. My bill is usually under $100 for 4 but this time it was $160 which i should have noticed but at that point I just wanted to leave. Thank you to the waitress that made my daughter's and our night a $#!@ show off a night. I even got charged for alcohol and neither me or my wife drinks and definitely not my under 10yr old kids.

Great location. This should be a flagship model for the franchise. Food was delicious, it was hopping, and extremely well run.

The service wasn't bad, but I feel the staff weren't very well trained to handle a large number of people at once. The food was ok.

What is the point of reservations if you have an hour plus wait? Probably well past its occupancy load as well.

Yummy bbq in the park yeah I was actually kinda surprised how good this turned out to be!…read more So we came in and for me it was all about that smoked sirloin as that just sounded yummy and let me say it totally was as they gave me the end piece so it was just honestly really good full flavor and just hit the spot for the day! For our sides we went with crispy smashed potatoes and these too were certainly yummy not too crispy but just soft enough to make them perfect at every bite! The Mac and cheese was also very good it was just the way it should be creamy totally cheesy and just perfect with every bite! Our meals also came with a corn fritter and I gotta say it too was yummy just a fried ball of corny goodness how can you go wrong! Then the 3 sauces they had all of which were unique to their own style with the hunny being full honey style the Kansas City being my favorite as it had a nice tang to it and then the original was also just yummy in its BBQ Sauce kinda way, all of the sauces tasted yummy on each of the items we ordered and it was a nice treat to change between them to keep the full flavor going! They accept dinning pass here so definitely don't skip out as this really was the best restaurant in the park and I could totally see coming here more often than I should had this been closer to home!

The prices are astronomical ($11 for the tiniest side of mac n cheese and $7 for the 20 oz smart…read morewater) but the quality is incredible. This mac was some of the best I've ever had and I wish I could get it from somewhere else also. It was served fresh and warm and it was super gooey and creamy and cheesy. It was so flavorful it didn't even need extra salt on top, unlike most macs. I just wish it was a much bigger portion for the price, but I would still recommend it because it was so delicious.

Great neighborhood restaurant & hidden gem!…read more I'll preface this review with a small disclaimer and apology of sorts. I'm a nearly life long resident of Gurnee (36 of my years) and have only been here twice now, and both in the last month. Just recently took my parents because my first visit went so well. They have lived and worked in Gurnee since the early 80s and somehow have never been either, until now. How did I even end up here after all these years? I kept seeing mentions on social media. It was giving WI supper club kinda vibes of which I'm a HUGE fan of and I was like well I need to check this out! It's also like a 3 min drive from my home so win win. First time I went with my friend during the week, great experience everything was great! My parents aren't easy to please but I was confident and brought them on over this Saturday and another home run. We ordered the mozzarella appetizer and also the breaded shrimp appetizer, both were good. Entrees included a burger, shish kabob, prime rib sandwich, and the 18 oz prime rib. Everything was fabulous. The prime rib is perfect, red skin mashed are amazing. Beverages were a little bit of everything, mom loves black coffee but she will do cream and sugar if it's not great, they brought a large mug and she loved it, didn't even need the cream and sugar. The others got fountain drinks (Coke products which are preferred) and free refills which kept coming and was appreciated. I had a Maker's old fashioned, it was classic WI supper club style. I'll now devote an entire paragraph to the wine pours. First visit, I had a glass of the Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir, and was shocked at the pour, very very decent! Ordered the same at my second visit and maybe slightly less shocked but still, great pour! Granted this isn't the Courtyard by Marriott Westbury NY (if you are on TikTok you know what I mean), but this is a hearty pour and basically just all sorts of fabulous. You cannot go wrong with a glass of wine here! Dessert tray comes out after dinner, nice selection to choose from, both times we got a turtle cheesecake which can really do no wrong. Mom got the Dubai style cake, and the guys got vanilla ice cream. They don't make the desserts in house but they are solid options, very very good. Some environmental notes: they have the grill inside for steaks etc, so you do leave smelling a bit like the grill, not off putting to myself much, and I'm very sensitive and have allergies etc. Restrooms were spotless both times, super clean. I don't recall any music but nice conversations hum going on during the busy Saturday night service so had a pleasant volume etc. The building is older, but everything is in really nice shape/condition. You can come casual in jeans and a hoody or a bit more dressed up and feel comfortable either way. I noticed lots of local folks who recognized others in passing and stopped to say hi to each other, really gave it a nice community feel. Long story short, a nice hidden gem local place with a WI supper club feel and a nice sense of community. Solid menu and nicely executed dishes and drinks. Nice service and competitive pricing as well. Highly recommend if you live in town and never tried it, but visitors to Gurnee will feel welcome too!

We came by for dinner on a Friday night after not knowing what to eat. Hearing so much about this…read moreplace nearby we decided to pop in. As we were seated (we came by right about opening time) the restaurant FILLED up. It's so amazing to see a family restaurant fill up with so many folks, some repeat and so many new faces as well to staff and they were joyous as ever to have folks there. We started with the Italian beef egg rolls, they weren't my favorite because they were a bit sweet for me, I think I just have been on a spicy kick so I was looking for that. But not bad after all, I just more loved the French onion soup, the caramelized onion, the bread, the great flavors. It was delish! So much so we ordered a second because we no longer wanted to share. Haha For our entrees we got the half slab of ribs, and the ribeye. Each entrees comes with an app of soup or salad, the entree and a side. The ribs were incredible, we'd come back weekly to eat the ribs if we didn't become a giant ball, haha. The flavors the smokiness and fall off the bone. Delish. The steak was tender and cooked to the perfect temp. We got a side of bernaise sauce and grilled onions and it was a great steak. For dessert we wrapped up with the carrot cake, it's the best I've had in a while! So excited because carrot cake is my favorite cake and to have a Place that has such a good one nearby home is so fun. Overall we had a great experience. The staff was so great with our little one and checked in with us often. The manager/ owner checked in on us halfway through the meal too. It's been a while since we got a table checked and that was a nice experience. Also the steak pit was super fun to see too!

My go-to flavors are the Cheesking and the Mala Spicy--both are packed with flavor. For me, the real standout for me was the tteokbokki. The crunch that Korean fried chicken has, always amazes me. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. I really appreciate that they use boneless THIGHS and not chicken breast. The chicken THIGH meat is dark meat and juicy, while white meat just drys out so easily and fast. The Kimchi Fried rice was good too. It's got a little heat on it, but when you eat the cold pickled daikon with it, it has a nice balance. If I'm ever back in Great Lakes IL, I'll doubleback fasho! Might be hittin this place one more time before I leave! My only constructive criticism would be to allow 2 flavors on the 10 piece and higher. I could only get 1 flavor, and there were so many that sounded good, I would've loved to have tried 2 flavors.
