Texas Roadhouse has proven to be a reliable choice no matter where we go. However, this location was exceptionally good. The service was smiling and enthusiastic. The quality of my steak was better than any other Texas Roadhouse I've visited. The ambience was calm and well run, plus we were seated quickly. I do recommend and would go back.

We went to Texas Roadhouse as a pre-graduation get together. The service was great and the food delicious. We ordered a variety of entrees since we were a party of 7. Everything came out timely, hot and delicious. I had the crispy creeter salad and was surprised that my chicken was hot but so good on top of my salad. The margaritas were delicious and the waitress kept our waters filled. The rolls, as always, were warm, sweet and delicious. We even got some to go! The restaurant was your typical roadhouse restaurant, playing music softly in the background, clean facilities and staff that was doing their best to get everything to the table in a timely manner.

I always have high hopes for a great steak. However this trip wasn't fantastic. Bread was doughy (not cooked enough) or hard. Steak came out moo'ing and I ordered well done. I was told it was the cooks fault bc he was new. Mixed vegetables were okay. Broccoli was pretty steamed with no flavor and limp while the carrots weren't cooked and hard. Zoe was my server but I felt like she ghosted me a lot. I understand I went during dinner time but it was just me. Not hard to come by and see if I needed anything.

I got the bone in ribeye 20 ounce and a prime rib. It came with a side, Caesar salad and vegetables. Ribeye was soft, tender and had great flavor. Was cooked to a perfect medium. The prime rib was a huge piece of meat tender with some fat. It tasted very beefy with the au jus. I personally liked the bone in ribeye over the prime rib because of crust and general taste. Rolls were very warm great with the cinnamon butter. Staff was friendly. Pretty good place to come for a steak. Bone in ribeye was about $28. Food: 8.4 Staff/service: 7 Overall: 8.0/10

After driving all day, my wife and I were looking for a good meal close to our hotel. Texas Roadhouse fit the bill perfectly. It was a short walk from the hotel and the food was very good! We kicked it off with a couple of cold drinks and rolls with their honey butter. For entrees we had pulled pork which came with 2 sides. One of the sides was a Caesar salad which was very good, the other steak fries also excellent! This was our first time at one of these Texas Roadhouse restaurants and we were very satisfied. A perfect stop on this night!

I now very purposely search out Texas Roadhouse restaurants when I'm traveling and looking to get a quality steak with the sides I like. Seriously! Why do I have to have broccoli, squash or asparagus on my plate? I ain't touchin any of that. Corn, carrots, green beans, spinach - I'll eat those veggies all day long. The steaks are consistently prepared as I order them. The sides I always select are green beans with bacon and onion and loaded mashed potatoes. The rolls are delightful. Always served warm with butter and I never eat them at the restaurant. I always take them to go and enjoy them for breakfast. The Josh Cabernet is a decent red. The place is loud though. I always have a hard time hearing the staff. Gabbi brought me to my two person table and as most the greeters up front do, she engaged me in conversation along the way. "Have you been here before? How was your day?" It's a wonderful touch that always makes me feel welcome. The waiter William frequently checked in. The manager (Geoff?) stopped by for a chat. A warm friendly and pleasant exchange. While I thought all TRs were company owned, I was surprised to learn many are franchises. The quality is so consistent, it is hard to believe they are franchised. They must be bringing a McDonald's approach to steakhouses. Harrisonburg team for the win! Well done

We were on our way home from Luray caverns and were looking for a place to have dinner. We had decided to try a place we found online, but my friend thought he noticed this place and knew I wanted to try it, so we stopped in. A day before New Year's Eve was pretty crowded, but we only waited about 20 mins. to get in, and they texted us while we were in our truck. Service was great. Food came out very quickly as well as drinks. We had apps. such as chile, potato skins, and I had the rattlesnake bites, which were quite good, but not very much meat. Still a great app. and I would probably order it again! Steak was a bit overcooked and more like well done, but still very tasty and I had no problems finishing it. Should have ordered it medium like I usually do, but wanted to make sure it wasn't undercooked. My friends, also enjoyed their meal. I love that you have the option to order your specific steak right out of the case. No room for desert. I would look forward to coming back here again in NJ., where I live! It's a nice place.

So this is a weird one for me to review, I rarely eat at chain restaurants and I can't tell you the last time I ate at a steak house much less a chain owned one. I actually just don't eat that much steak. I think the last time I went they still had shelled peanuts and you dropped the shells on the floor! No more peanuts now... We were on a car trip and unfortunately had some car troubles and were stranded over night at a nearby hotel. It was also my mother's first time at a Texas Roadhouse - see picture. We ate at the bar, probably had too much beer (remember, car troubles, no driving just walking across the street to the hotel), and had a great service, great food and a great time! Would totally go to a Texas Roadhouse again and especially this one!

I travel for work eat here once a month always the best but came in tonight 9:15 bar half full ordered large draft and bone in rib-eye yummy my favorite drank almost all beer maybe 30 minutes then started looking at my bartender a young guy sloppily dressed in a ball cap all good for me but I had to get his attention and ask hey how is my dinner? U think he would ask me or see I'm sitting here for half hour ? So he goes in the kitchen and brings my bone in out ? I said I usually get my salad first he said no shit ! Really well where is my salad ? Maybe dessert ? I told him keep it all I'll pay for beer this ain't McDonalds Got the mgr she sweet wanted to buy my beer and meal I say no just want you to know how the bartender runs his business.

Tyler our server was the ultimate in friendliness and personable. The food is actually always up to par here but it's the service which makes me really want to come back.

The hotel is clean, modern, and reasonably priced, but honestly, the real highlight is the Ridge Room. After a long day on the road, I really don't want to get back in the car to find dinner, so having a rooftop restaurant just steps from the room is perfect. The mountain views are great, and the farm-to-table menu is always interesting. We've eaten here several times, and it has never disappointed. The food is consistently good, and the bartenders know what they're doing--the drinks are just as solid as the meals. It's one of those places where the menu might not immediately grab you, but once you try the food, it all clicks. Definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to.

I have found the front staff and the wait staff to be lacking in their consideration towards restaurant guests. It seems that they are picking and choosing whom they choose to grant a great experience to. Service: The front staff and waitress we had carried an air of attitude when dealing with me and my family. It seemed like they were not keen to accommodate a few of our basic requests which essentially boiled down to laziness. To be honest, they are very petty when it comes to getting a table on their rooftop...when my family (of 5) came in, they told us it was first come first serve and sat us inside. Another family came in with 3-4 adults and 2 kids after we were seated, to which they promptly moved them outside even though they were inside as well when a spot opened up. I'm not truly understanding the mentality of service here and frankly thought for a nice establishment there would be better decorum and attitude towards guests. Food: overall pretty good. I found the food and drink to be solid. In summary, the food is good here but doesn't surpass the service we received.

The space is urban chic with a moderate sized dining room and small bar. I would describe the menu as "upscale comfort". Elevated pork chop, meatloaf, pasta for example. At our table we ordered the swordfish nightly special, the wild mushroom pasta, the pork chops, and the potato croquette appetizer. All were beautifully plated and delicious. We also had two exceptional glasses of Chardonnay, and some beautiful cocktails. We enjoyed our evening. This is a great place for a special night out without needing to be fancy or fussy.

There was a heater, so we figured we could stand it. The hostess rearranged the tables to seat us close to the heater, and left menus. Soon a waitress came with water and took drink orders. Not long after she returned to take our food orders. While we were waiting for the food, someone brought us some warm blankets. All through our meal people kept checking to see whether we needed anything. It was the best service I have seen in a long time, and I arrange a bi-monthly lunch outing for a club I belong to. The food was delicious. The salmon sandwich was incredible, the burrata appetizer was to die for, and I wish everyone had such good French fries. Everyone enjoyed their food and the warm welcome from the staff on a not very warm day.

We ate in the bar - loved the vibe down there! The food was amazing! We started with salads - Caesar for the Hubby (as usual) and the Spring Salad for me (I subbed blue cheese for the goat cheese - I'm not a fan of goat cheese). Both salads were super fresh. They make their dressings in house and it shows. Ribeye rare for the Hubby and Filet mid-rare for me. We both had the crème fresh mashed potatoes. Steaks were cooked perfectly. And let me tell you, if you get anything, GET THE MASHED POTATOES!!! I swear these were the best I have ever had in my life. No joke - that includes my homemade and my Moms and Grandma's. Seriously. It's worthy to note that I asked for salt & pepper, as there was none on the table. It takes a really confident chef to not have salt & pepper on the table. So of course, I tasted first. I honestly did NOT use not one grain of either. The food didn't need it. Everything was seasoned perfectly! We ended the meal with crème brûlée, because if it's on the menu, we are ordering it. It was exceptional! Easily the second best we've ever had - and we've eaten a LOT of crème brûlée in our years. The service was absolutely spot on. There were 3 people working down there on this Wednesday night and they showed incredible teamwork. Super friendly, efficient and very customer service forward. We were visiting Harrisonburg for the weekend and after looking on Yelp for a good place to have…read moredinner on a Saturday night, we decided on Capital Ale House. Lots of prom kids and college students filled the place. We were quickly seated in a nice booth and Nate our server helped us with some stout beers. We had a milk stout and a caramel macchiato stout the latter of which was the best. Looking at the menu I have to say it was not your standard ale house fair. It was definitely "elevated" in this regard. We asked to split a 2 soft shell entree with broccolini & seasoned mash, a bowl of crab bisque and a pierogi sampler. We also asked for an extra plate, to which Nate said he would take care of it. When the food arrived it was divided perfectly. Nate had split the bowl of soup into 2 small bowls and he divided the entree and sides onto 2 plates. The soft shell crabs were HUGE, the largest I had ever seen, and crisply fried to perfection. The sides were equally exquisite in their flavor and preparation. The crab bisque was loaded with fresh lump crabmeat and perfectly seasoned. The pirogies were also excellent in flavor and presentation. It was the most satisfying meal I'd had in a while (could be because I was craving soft shells) Needless to say we were very happy with the food in every way and were stuffed as we asked for the check. Nate/Nathaniel really made the experience as he was highly attentive, though caring for many tables, and was quick to take care of our every need. The place was really rocking with customers and everyone there was having a great time. We'll definitely be back and let everyone we know what a top notch establishment Capital Ale House in Harrisonburg is.
