Texas Roadhouse is my favorite chain steakhouse for mid range priced dinner. I've never had a bad experience at any of their locations and their servers have always been extremely friendly and attentive. I've always gotten the extra bread rolls I asked for with no judgment at all! We went here since it was close to the resort we were staying at and it was a great decision. The restaurant was packed due to Mother's Day but we were seated after a 30 min wait which we didn't mind. The dinner rolls were delicious as always. We got 2 16 oz NY strip steak dishes with mashed potatoes, fries, chili, and Caesar salad. We also got the steak kabobs which came with seasoned rice and fries. All the dishes were absolutely delicious and the portions were large enough for us to take home leftovers for extra meals!! Our server was kind enough to give us additional dinner rolls with the delicious cinnamon butter to take home. I will always rely on Texas Roadhouse for a great meal. My only complaint is the chili recipe has changed. It used to be "Texas style" chili meaning no beans were added and cubes of meat were used instead of ground beef which seems to have changed. They now have lots of kidney beans and ground beef in the chili which I will replace with another side when I visit next. read more

I'm actually not a fan of too many chain restaurants, but this one here is one of the very few exceptions. What's there not to love about a good steak and cocktails while watching football? Our waiter is okay, a little forgetful. The food is almost always good. I had the smallest ribeye at 12 ounces and apparently it was too big because I still had half a steak by the time I got done. But I think I also ate way too many buttered rolls with their famous brown sugar butter. It's very loud because it's so crowded, but everyone is nice. I always have high hopes for a great steak. However this trip wasn't fantastic. Bread was doughy (not cooked enough) or hard. Steak came out moo'ing and I ordered well done. I was told it was the cooks fault bc he was new. Mixed vegetables were okay. Broccoli was pretty steamed with no flavor and limp while the carrots weren't cooked and hard. I got the bone in ribeye 20 ounce and a prime rib. It came with a side, Caesar salad and vegetables. Ribeye was soft, tender and had great flavor. Was cooked to a perfect medium. The prime rib was a huge piece of meat tender with some fat. It tasted very beefy with the au jus. I personally liked the bone in ribeye over the prime rib because of crust and general taste. After driving all day, my wife and I were looking for a good meal close to our hotel. Texas Roadhouse fit the bill perfectly. It was a short walk from the hotel and the food was very good! We kicked it off with a couple of cold drinks and rolls with their honey butter. For entrees we had pulled pork which came with 2 sides. Lately this establishment has been hit or miss. Today was definitely a miss!! First we ordered chili as our side and it took about 25 minutes to come to the table! Second my husband ordered the steak skewers done medium they came out looking charcoaled as were the veggies waitress never asked if they were ok and manager stopped by the table and saw my husband left 3/4 of his meal untouched never offered to discount the disgusting looking meal at all. She did finally offer to make him a new one but we were ready to leave before the offer was made!! By the way the chili arrived after we had finished our meals!! I now very purposely search out Texas Roadhouse restaurants when I'm traveling and looking to get a quality steak with the sides I like. Seriously! Why do I have to have broccoli, squash or asparagus on my plate? I ain't touchin any of that. Corn, carrots, green beans, spinach - I'll eat those veggies all day long. The steaks are consistently prepared as I order them. The sides I always select are green beans with bacon and onion and loaded mashed potatoes. The rolls are delightful. Always served warm with butter and I never eat them at the restaurant. I always take them to go and enjoy them for breakfast. The Josh Cabernet is a decent red. The place is loud though. I always have a hard time hearing the staff. Gabbi brought me to my two person table and as most the greeters up front do, she engaged me in conversation along the way. "Have you been here before? How was your day?" It's a wonderful touch that always makes me feel welcome. The waiter William frequently checked in. The manager (Geoff?) stopped by for a chat. A warm friendly and pleasant exchange. While I thought all TRs were company owned, I was surprised to learn many are franchises. We were on our way home from Luray caverns and were looking for a place to have dinner. We had decided to try a place we found online, but my friend thought he noticed this place and knew I wanted to try it, so we stopped in. A day before New Year's Eve was pretty crowded, but we only waited about 20 mins. to get in, and they texted us while we were in our truck. Service was great. Food came out very quickly as well as drinks. We had apps. such as chile, potato skins, and I had the rattlesnake bites, which were quite good, but not very much meat. Still a great app. and I would probably order it again! Steak was a bit overcooked and more like well done, but still very tasty and I had no problems finishing it. Should have ordered it medium like I usually do, but wanted to make sure it wasn't undercooked. My friends, also enjoyed their meal. So this is a weird one for me to review, I rarely eat at chain restaurants and I can't tell you the last time I ate at a steak house much less a chain owned one. I actually just don't eat that much steak. I think the last time I went they still had shelled peanuts and you dropped the shells on the floor! No more peanuts now... We were on a car trip and unfortunately had some car troubles and were stranded over night at a nearby hotel. It was also my mother's first time at a Texas Roadhouse - see picture. We stopped in for dinner as we traveled south. We were quickly seated with hot yeast rolls and peanuts. Our server Quinn was exceptional and the manager Seth greeted and talked with us. We have a TR restaurant in our town in NC and we plan on frequenting it. My 90 yr old mom said her steak was incredible. My smothered chicken was tender, juicy and so flavorful. When I travel, I like to go to a college town because there are good restaurants and good hotels and reasonable prices. I usually prefer local restaurants. I was really happy that this Texas roadhouse was within walking distance of my hotel and margaritas were perfect and so was the steak salad. Staff were attentive even in a full house Saturday night . The place was packed because there is so much going on in College towns on weekends. but I was able to get a bar seat pretty quickly; otherwise it would've been a one hour wait, so plan accordingly. read more

My family and I came here for the first time tonight, it was very busy when we got there and knew it would a little bit of a wait, was told 50-60 minutes and it ended up being about 90. They seat you with fresh rolls and butter, with the menus already at the table. For a drink i ordered the raspberry lemonade and later got the blue crush lemonade as well, i would give both a 10/10. I asked for my steak to be rare and it was cooked perfect with a great taste, it was very juicy and tender. (10/10) The corn was good but it wasn't my favorite. (6/10) The loaded mashed potatoes tasted exactly like a loaded baked potato in a bowl, not quite sure how else to explain that but it was really good !! (9/10). My dad ordered the 23oz t-bone steak, and bacon cheese fries with green beans. I got my sirloin before him and had let him try mine and he did say he liked the sirloin better but the t-bone was really good ! we wasn't told until the end that his steak was actually 20oz cause they was out of the 23oz steak but that we were given a $8 discount which was perfectly fine because the 20oz ended up being more then plenty! He also liked the cheese fries but said the green beans weren't his favorite. my husband had tried the house salad, and cup of chili, and absolutely loved the chili. he had also had an order of the mild boneless wings and let us all try them, and they were by far some of the best i've had. So let me first start off by saying the 1st red flag was my brother-in-law had a bug floating in his water. Well, I then asked for a sweet tea which when she brought the first one out it definitely was unsweetened. I then asked her to bring me another one in hopes it may taste like something. My main complaint with this particular TR is the host. We come (or, from this day forward, USED to) here almost every week. Since our son sometimes joins us, we ask for a table for 3 and that's usually never a problem because a.) we go in the off hours when it's not busy and, b.) if our son can't join us we still order food for him to go. Well, the past few weeks, the same boy at the host stand has refused to sit us until our son gets there. We explained the situation and the only way he would sit us was in a 2 person table, forcing us to move if our son joined us. This at a time when the restaurant was mostly empty! We really should have left and gone elsewhere but we were in a hurry. The food itself is like any other TR although my medium rare steak came out medium well. The server was great. Nice location located a top of a hill there is plenty of parking available when you walk in you get that roadhouse feeling of the peanuts all over the floor and the butcher section where you see the different cuts of meat and you can even order which one you want before you sit down which makes this place unique the hostess was friendly and we were seated fairly quick considering we were a large group the waitress was nice and our food came out quick the chille was delicious packed with meat with just enough heat to it I ordered the 23 oz porterhouse bone in steak when it came to the table it looked good it had some nice grill marks when I cut into it the the filet side was well done and dry while the strip was side was cooked the why I asked for medium that was suppose to be the start of the night but it turned out the chille out shined the steak read more
